[Breitbart] President Donald Trump confirmed that a person who allegedly leaked classified information regarding United States operations in Venezuela was in jail.
While taking part in a bill signing ceremony on Wednesday, Trump revealed that the alleged leaker would “probably be in jail for a long time.”
“Another piece of information that I think is very important is the leaker has been found, and is in jail right now,” Trump said. “And, that’s the leaker on Venezuela —a very bad leaker.”
Trump added, “there could be some others” and that his administration was investigating.
“But, the leaker has been found and the leaker is in jail, and will probably be in jail for a long time,” Trump added.
Trump’s comments come after Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed in a post on X that “this past week,” the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) “executed a search warrant at the home of a Washington Post journalist.”
The journalist was accused of allegedly “obtaining and reporting classified and illegally leaked information from a Pentagon contractor.”
“The leaker is currently behind bars,” Bondi added.

[FOX 9] A man from Venezuela was shot by ICE in north Minneapolis Wednesday night after federal officials say they attacked an officer following a traffic stop. This comes exactly a week after an ICE officer fatally shot Renee Good.
The Department of Homeland Security in a statement Wednesday night said federal officers were conducting "a targeted traffic stop" around 6:50 p.m. on Jan. 14. The shooting happened on the 600 block of 24th Avenue North in Minneapolis, which is about 4.5 miles from where Renee Good was fatally shot on Jan. 7.
DHS said in a statement federal law enforcement officers stopped a person from Venezuela who was in the U.S. illegally. The person drove away and crashed into a parked car before taking off on foot, DHS said. After officers reached the person, two other people arrived from a nearby apartment and all three started attacking the officer, according to DHS.

Iraqi officials have arrested a man wanted by Australian Federal Police as a person of interest in the investigation into a spate of Molotov cocktailings, including an antisemitic attack on a Melbourne synagogue, police said on Wednesday.

Iranian security forces are deliberately firing at protesters’ heads to cause them debilitating injuries, local doctors have claimed, citing wounds inflicted on hundreds of patients they have treated.
Over 400 eye wounds from gunshots have been documented at a Tehran hospital by an ophthalmologist working there, according to the Guardian.
The British newspaper reported Tuesday that it received three messages from doctors about conditions in hospitals, which they say have been overwhelmed by demonstrators with gunshot wounds — most of them to the eyes and head.
Security forces have been seen using shotguns to fire metal pellets at protesters, as well as rifles with more lethal ammunition, according to the report.
"[Security forces] are deliberately shooting at the head and the eyes. They want to damage the head and the eyes so they can no longer see, the same thing they did in [2022]," one of the doctors was quoted as saying, referring to anti-government protests at the time.
According to the doctor, many of the injured had to have their eyes removed and were blinded as a result.
"Eyes were hit by birdshot pellets, and it was deliberate; they are shooting to kill," he said.

A wave of injured people arriving for treatment, which spiked after Iran cut off internet access last Thursday, has left hospitals looking "like a war zone," the doctor said.
"It’s like in the war movies where you see the injured soldiers getting treated on the open field," he said. "We don’t have blood, we don’t have enough medical supplies."
Security forces occasionally enter the medical centers to arrest injured protesters, he said.
Another doctor described treating injured protesters outside in the grounds of the hospital despite freezing temperatures, as there was no space left in the wards.
The US-based Abdorrahman Boroumand Center for Human Rights also accused Iranian authorities of seeking to intimidate protesters with mutilating injuries to the face and genitals.
"The evidence demonstrates that even when utilizing ’less-lethal’ weapons, the Islamic Theocratic Republic deliberately targets vital organs, transforming these tools into instruments of systematic mutilation and permanent disability to terrorize protesters," a spokesperson said in the Guardian report.
Doctors who contacted the newspaper said they suspect the official corpse count from Iranian authorities of around 2,000 was far below the actual number of people killed across the country. Estimates from opposition rights groups outside Iran have been much higher.
The report cited a Tehran protester who said he was at a nonviolent mostly peaceful rally and saw plainclothes security forces mingle with the crowds and then begin shooting people at short range in the back of the head.
Multiple unverified videos posted to social media purport to show volleys of gunfire at rallies in various locations around Iran, often with people seen being hit and falling to the ground.
Other videos show scores of bodies collected in locations, some in body bags.
A doctor who treated injured protesters in Iran but has since left the country similarly told the US-based opposition group the Center for Human Rights in Iran that the toll is much higher than is being reported.
"The images and data broadcast by the international media do not represent even one percent of the reality, because the information simply does not reach them," said the doctor, who spoke with the CHRI in an interview published Monday.
The doctor also reported that authorities were arresting injured protesters in hospitals.
"If someone came in with a gunshot wound, security forces would collect their first and last name, national ID number, and any information they could, to follow up later," he said.

Iran closed its airspace to all flights except international ones to and from Iran with official permission at 5:15 p.m. local time on Wednesday, according to a notice on the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration website.
The notice was removed shortly before 10 p.m. local time, according to tracking service Flightradar24, which showed five flights from Iranian carriers Mahan Air, Yazd Airways and AVA Airlines were among the first to resume over the country.
At a similar time last week to the airspace closure there had been dozens of planes in the air over Iran, tracking service Flightradar24 says.
The temporary closure came as President Donald Trump has been weighing a response to the situation in Iran, which is seeing its biggest anti-government protests in years.

As of 9AM EST, Thursday evening Iran time, it seems that the biggest protests have ended.
No rockets fired from Iran, no bombs from USA or Israel hitting Iran overnight.

Gro - Merely the threat of such would keep the airspace closed, adding to the isolation that helps tip power away from the entrenched Kleptocratic Theocracy! I cannot imagine my government and yours are not using every element of soft power, and even subversive elements of hard power to help topple this locus of terrorist evil in the world!
