[IsraelTimes] A suspicious package believed to contain an explosive material turned up in the mail room of the Arizona Supreme Court, prompting an evacuation of the courthouse and other Capitol Mall buildings near downtown Phoenix, officials say.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which began Monday at 8 a.m. (5 p.m. Israel time) when the Arizona Department of Public Safety, which provides security for the courthouse complex, was contacted about a suspicious package, the agency says in a statement.
The package was found to contain multiple vials, two of which tested positive for an unspecified “homemade explosive substance,” according to the statement.
The State Courts Building was evacuated as a precaution, along with the state Education Department, the state Attorney General’s Office and the Arizona Department of Administration, DPS spokesperson Bart Graves says.
Graves says the Supreme Court was not in session at the time.
The courthouse remained closed while security sweeps of the building were conducted. Graves says authorities are in the process of removing the package from the scene for further investigation and subsequent disposal.

They might have better luck getting the riots going if this had happened in the summer. I think now, especially in Minneapolis, it's too cold so people will want to stay indoors. Besides, the victim wasn't in the demographic that gets most rioters off their butts.

Also, please note, this shooting appears at least as justifiable as the shooting of Ashli Babbitt. So if they're gonna prosecute the ICE agent, they should also prosecute Mike Byrd of the Capitol Police. He was pardoned by Autopen so it might be a good way to challenge all of the Autopen pardons.
One more thing: Shit happens when people resist arrest. The moral of the story is, always cooperate with law enforcement officers.

Well Walz is the "Commandant" of the Guard and he appoints the actual head (Adjutant?). It's unlikely he'd appoint someone with integrity, so such orders may be given and in any large organization there'll always be a few ready to do the wrong thing.
[FOX] Federal officials are claiming the agent acted in self-defense, but Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is calling "bullshit" on that claim. The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. in the area of East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. The woman died at the hospital.
Witnesses told FOX 9, a woman got into a red vehicle and there was one ICE agent on either side of the vehicle trying to get in, and a third ICE agent came and tried to yank on the driver's side door. One of the agents on the driver's side door backed away, and then opened fire, shooting three times through the driver's side window, witnesses said. One witness said the vehicle wasn't moving toward the agents. However, federal officials said ICE officers were "conducting targeted operations" when "rioters" blocked officers. One of the "rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them."
Officials said an ICE officer who was "fearing for his life" fired "defensive shots" to save himself and his officers, killing the woman.
A video of the shooting shows a red Honda Pilot blocking the roadway as an ICE squad approaches. When agents approach the vehicle, the Pilot attempts to drive away, moving towards an agent. Listening to the NPR drive-time "analysis" of the incident, besides *TRUMP*TRUMP*TRUMP*, one of their knocks against ICE was the lack of crowd-control skills. But crowd control is a job for the local police who seem to be absent for some reason.
NPR also claimed (without evidence, to steal a phrase) that the official story was not backed up by the video evidence. I predict we will see lots of clips showing the guy that was standing by the driver's door, but none of the guy in front of the vehicle.

The video I saw looked like she tried to back up firsr, then put it in drive, steering hard to the right to get around the officer in front with his gun drawn. He shot. Honestly didn't look like the threat justified the result to me. I get emotions are high but this looks like excessive force. Calling her a domestic terrorist also feels like hyperbole.

According to Paleostinian media, the strike it a home in Gaza City’s eastern Tuffah neighborhood, killing two people and wounding several more.
The dead were not immediately identified.
Footage published by Paleostinian media showed people maimed in the strike arriving at Gaza City’s al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, including an elderly woman in a bloodied headscarf and a young man lying on a stretcher.
Paleostinian outlets identified the targeted home as belonging to a family, but did not indicate who the target may have been. According to the reports, the home is on Tuffah’s Jaffa Road, which lies on the Hamas-controlled side of the Gaza ceasefire line.

The execution came as tensions have risen between the two countries, which exchanged renewed threats of violence in recent weeks, roughly six months after fighting a 12-day war. The official IRNA news agency identified the executed man as Ali Ardestani, and claimed he relayed sensitive information to the Israeli spy agency’s officers in return for financial rewards in the form of cryptocurrencies.
The report said the man confessed to the spying charges, and that he had hoped to receive a million-dollar reward, as well as a British visa. It labeled Ardestani a "special operative force of Israel" and claimed he gave images and footage of "special places" to Mossad agents.
IRNA did not elaborate about the time and place of his detention.
The report said Israel recruited Ardestani online, adding that his case went through legal procedures, both in primary courts and the country’s Supreme Court.
Human rights activists argue that many of the convictions rely on coerced confessions, and that trials often take place behind closed doors, without access to independent legal representation. Tehran, however, maintains that those executed were "agents of hostile intelligence services" involved in acts of terrorism or sabotage.
Iran executed at least 1,500 people in 2025, the Norway-based Iran Human Rights group says, in what it calls an "unprecedented" hike in the use of capital punishment.
"It is unprecedented in the last 35 years. As long as Iran Human Rights has existed, we have never had such numbers," the group’s director, Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, says.
