[Breitbart] Somali operators of daycare centers and other social services receiving tax dollars, many fraudulently, are also donating shares of their looted funds to the Democratic Party, say citizen journalists, and others.
The New York Post, for instance, found that Minnesota Democrats were the happy recipients of $50,000 in campaign donations from many of the now convicted felons who ran the Somalian Feeding Our Future organization that stole some $250 million in Minnesota welfare funding.
For another example, X user Cam Higby looked at some of the numbers in Washington State and found that 80 percent of all donations made by people listing “childcare” as their occupation had donated to Somali Port of Seattle Commissioner Hamdi Mohamed.
Mario Nawfal looked at political donations to Democrats from Somali child and adult care groups, as well, and found tens of thousands being kicked back to Democrats.
In another case, a TikTok user found that Somali day care centers were donating thousands to Somalians running for office, thereby using tax dollars to ensure their own people get elected.
Anti-Jihad activist Robert Spencer found that several fraudulent Somali groups donated their taxpayer provided funding to a Somalian politician who threatened to blow up a school bus for Somalia.
Derrick Evans also looked at fraud in Washington State and found that one Somali-owned daycare center raked in $81,000 in government funding in just a single month despite only having seven kids under care.
Finally, Kevin Bass crunched some numbers and discovered that the states without effective voter ID laws are also handing out the most in welfare benefits to illegal migrants.

With the Dems it will tend to be kickbacks from the scammers. I think the GOP mostly will be taking denotations from business owners exploiting the subsidized immigrants workforces to enrich themselves. It’s sort of two flavors of corruption: theft and rent seeking.

Responding to yesterday’s story about a Somali shell company opening 40 daycare centers in Columbus, Ohio on the same day.
[Breitbart] Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s (R) office downplayed the significance of alleged Somali fraud occurring in the state, equating massive amounts of fraud to stores dealing with shoplifting.
While DeWine has indicated that the state “has strong safeguards in place to prevent fraud in the state’s publicly funded childcare system,”
…or not, evidently. But Governor DeWine is a strong numbers guy. Show him the actual fraud numbers, and if it is indeed significant he’ll change his tune…
Dan Tierney, a spokesman for DeWine, used grocery stores as an example to point out that getting fraud as “close to zero as possible” would likely never happen, according to Cleveland.com.
“If you’ve got a grocery store, you’re going to have to deal with shoplifting,” Tierney said in a statement. “You want your number to be as close to zero as possible, but that’s probably never going to happen.”
Sure, at 1-2% shrinkage one doesn’t worry. But in Minnesota they’re talking about 50% or more of billions of dollars.
Per the outlet, after citizen journalist Nick Shirley released a video of himself visiting several childcare centers in Minnesota that allegedly received millions of dollars in federal aid, despite there being no signs of children, “video creators” also “posted videos questioning Somali-run childcare centers in Columbus.”:
Columbus has the second-largest Somali community in the country after Minneapolis. The same video creators who went to Minnesota posted videos questioning Somali-run childcare centers in Columbus. Those posts prompted two-thirds of Ohio House Republicans to call for a sweeping review– of the state’s system.
Breitbart News’s Sean Moran reported that Tierney had previously said the state has “robust anti-fraud measures,” adding that it is “unfortunately the cost of doing business.”
“If people are out there who could not contemplate that people were trying to defraud the public through daycare centers, I understand it’s new to them … but it’s been known to the state for decades,” Tierney said, declining to comment on potential fraud perpetrated by Somalian communities in the country.
“So therefore, we have robust anti-fraud measures to try and stop this; this is something that is unfortunately the cost of doing business.”
In response to the allegations of potential fraud occurring at daycares, Ohio State Rep. Josh Williams (R) and other Republicans have called for “unannounced inspections of all childcare facilities receiving public dollars.”

As I have said, politics isn’t supposed to be a business. DeWine is supposed to be protecting the interests of Ohioans, not importing immigrants to compete with Ohioans for wages and housing as a way to enrich donors. When they start talking about “the cost of doing business,” they mean that they choosing winners and losers. Mostly, the losers are taxpayers, especially blue collar ones.

[FoxNews] Bishop Robert Barron, a prominent Catholic leader, slammed socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s inauguration line promoting the "warmth of collectivism," saying, "For God’s sake, spare me."
During his inaugural address, the newly minted socialist mayor and New York’s first Muslim mayor, declared, "We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism."
Especially when the kulaks and those sent to Siberia were freezing to death in the snow while their luckier neighbours sheltered indoors, because the Leninists couldn’t be bothered to spend a bullet to put them out of their misery.
The line prompted immediate backlash from many conservatives who expressed alarm at such a phrase being used by the leader of America’s biggest city.
Barron, a popular podcaster and founder of "Word on Fire," took to X to say Mamdani’s declaration "took my breath away."
"He said he intended to replace ‘the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.’ Collectivism in its various forms is responsible for the deaths of at least 100 million people in the last century," Barron wrote.
"For God’s sake, spare me the ‘warmth of collectivism.'
"Socialist and communist forms of government around the world today — Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, etc. — are disastrous," explained Barron. "Catholic social teaching has consistently condemned socialism and has embraced the market economy, which people like Mamdani caricature as ‘rugged individualism.’
"In fact, it is the economic system that is based upon the rights, freedom and dignity of the human person."’
Barron was not the only critic who voiced alarm about Mamdani’s declaration.
Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis wrote on X that the "warmth" of collectivism "always requires coercion and force."
"How many dead over the past 100 years due to collectivist ideologies?" DeSantis added.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, chimed in, "When communists rule, individual rights — invariably — are taken away."
Since being sworn in at midnight on New Year’s Day, Mamdani has already taken several controversial actions, including targeting city landlords and housing development through new executive orders.
Mamdani announced three housing-related executive orders, starting with the revival of the Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants, which he said will focus on resolving complaints and holding landlords accountable for hazardous conditions.
According to Mamdani, the second executive order creates a LIFT task force, or a land-inventory effort designed to leverage city-owned land and accelerate housing development. He said the task force will review city-owned properties and identify sites suitable for housing development no later than July 1.
The third executive order created a SPEED task force, which Mamdani said stands for Streamlining Procedures to Expedite Equitable Development. He said the task force will work to remove permitting barriers that slow housing construction.
Both task forces will be overseen by Deputy Mayor for Housing and Planning Lila Joseph, he said.
Mamdani has also been criticized for revoking all orders issued by his predecessor, Mayor Eric Adams, following his indictment on federal bribery charges, including one that barred city agencies from boycotting or divesting from Israel.
Another rescinded order had directed the NYPD to bolster enforcement near religious sites by establishing protest-free buffer zones near churches, synagogues and mosques.
These revocations were criticized by the city’s right-leaning Jewish leaders.
Mamdani has been accused by critics, such as Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., of being a terrorist sympathizer.
He has repeatedly described Israel as an apartheid state, accused it of committing genocide in Gaza, and said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should be arrested. Mamdani has also said he will not tolerate antisemitism in New York and vowed to increase funding to combat hate crimes.

According to reporting from The Maine Wire, dozens of federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) swarmed multiple locations in Lewiston this week tied to Somali-run nonprofits, Medicaid billing operations, and political operatives with deep connections to Maine Democrats.
HSI confirmed it is “actively conducting audits of businesses in Maine to protect America from fraud & ensure businesses only employ legal workers,” adding that hiring unauthorized workers “undermines national security.”
Among the locations targeted: the Lewiston office of Gateway Community Services (CGS), a taxpayer-funded migrant services hub that received tens of millions of dollars in MaineCare (Medicaid) payments, and multiple no-bid contracts from the Mills administration, according to documents obtained by The Maine Wire.
Gateway Community Services, founded by Somali refugee Abdullahi Ali, received approximately $28.8 million in MaineCare funds between 2019 and 2024.
Founded in 2016 by Abdullahi Ali, a Somali refugee who resettled in Maine around 2009, GCS operates through a for-profit LLC and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm, Gateway Community Services Maine.
The organization’s mission focuses on providing essential services to immigrant, refugee, and asylee populations, including case management, behavioral health support, counseling, youth leadership programs, and community hubs in Portland and Lewiston.
The allegations regarding voter registration stem from investigative reporting, primarily by The Maine Wire, a conservative news outlet edited by Steve Robinson.
According to these reports, GCS received multiple no-bid contracts from the administration of Democratic Governor Janet Mills, funded largely by federal COVID-19 relief funds.
These contracts, totaling millions of dollars, supported “community health outreach workers” (CHOWs) who enrolled migrants in public benefits such as EBT, general assistance, and MaineCare (Maine’s Medicaid program).
Under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993, agencies providing such benefits are required to offer voter registration assistance, which critics claim GCS leveraged to register migrants and mobilize them for Democrat candidates in the 2022 election.
Specifically, whistleblowers and reports allege that GCS’s Lewiston office served as a “nexus” for the Community Organizing Alliance (COA), a group with ties to left-leaning organizations like the Maine People’s Alliance.
After federal investigations intensified, COA quietly removed its board list from public view, although archived copies remain.
This alliance purportedly conducted voter registration drives targeting “New Mainers” (a term for recent immigrants) and encouraged turnout on Election Day, contributing to Mills’ victory over former Governor Paul LePage.
For instance, in Lewiston—a city with a significant Somali population—Mills reportedly won for the first time in LePage’s career, attributed by some to increased migrant voter participation.
These activities are framed as part of a broader “payoff” system, where taxpayer funds for migrant services indirectly supported political activism benefiting Democrats.
Gateway’s leadership and political orbit includes Democrat lawmakers Deqa Dhalac and Yusuf Yusuf, both former Gateway officials, as well as Ekhlas Ahmed, a former Gateway employee later elevated into Gov. Mills’ newly created Office of New Americans, according to The Maine Wire.
GCS has not explicitly confirmed or denied involvement in voter registration on its official websites.
In late 2024 and early 2025, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) suspended payments to GCS and issued notices of violation.

Most people comfort themselves with the thought that he's not Bill di Blasio but that's pretty small comfort with kids who actually go to school getting bumped off while standing in front of them. But he's a Dem, so the rubes will vote for him next election too, so he's what they deserve... Mamdani, a far-left anti-Zionist, took office with the start of the new year, replacing Adams’s staunchly pro-Israel administration.
In one of Mamdani’s first moves as mayor, he issued an executive order that revoked all executive orders Adams implemented since September 26, 2024, when Adams was indicted for corruption. The corruption charges were later dismissed amid allegations of shady dealings between Adams and the Justice Department of US President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... Mamdani’s campaign said the revocations would ensure "a fresh start for the incoming administration."
Mamdani’s sweeping revocation covers Adams’s implementation of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, which says that some forms of Israel criticism are antisemitic.
The definition has been adopted by a broad range of national and local governments worldwide as well as other institutions. It has also drawn opposition from those who say its inclusion of some forms of criticism of Israel chills legitimate political speech.
Adams ordered city agencies to use the IHRA definition in June.
The IHRA definition could have posed a problem for Mamdani because the definition says that denying the Jewish people the right to self-determination is discriminatory. Mamdani has repeatedly refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state.
The definition also says it is antisemitic to claim "that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor."
Mamdani’s executive order also nullified an order that opposed the campaign to boycott Israel. Mamdani is a longtime supporter of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting Israel. New York City law bars discrimination based on national origin when signing public contracts, however.
Another order that has been revoked instructed the NYPD to reassess how it handles protests at houses of worship, a move Adams took after a vitriolic demonstration outside a synagogue, although a subsequent executive order from Mamdani included similar instructions to police.
Adams’s New York City-Israel Economic Council, a group set up in May to bolster business ties, was established by a declaration of intent.
Mamdani did not axe the Office to Combat Antisemitism, which Adams established in May.
Mamdani’s Executive Order No. 2, outlining the mayor’s office structure and operations, stated that the antisemitism office will remain in place. The order included a description of the office’s responsibilities, which appeared similar to how it operated under Adams.
The director of the office, Rabbi Moshe Davis, a close aide to Adams, said on Wednesday that he had not received any word from the Mamdani team and it was unclear if he would remain in his position. Mamdani’s spokesperson did not respond to a request for information about the office last week.
It was also unclear how the office would define antisemitism. The decision is consequential because it could influence how and whether anti-Zionist speech is tolerated in city agencies, including the NYPD, the Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes, and the school system.
Mamdani has condemned classic expressions of antisemitism, such as swastika graffiti and tropes about Jewish greed, while defending or espousing anti-Zionist rhetoric that the mainstream Jewish community finds discriminatory.
Last week, a report from the Anti-Defamation League surveying ties between Mamdani appointees and anti-Zionist groups included among its findings that one appointee had said that Zionists are worse than Nazis.
In response to the report, Mamdani said, "We must distinguish between antisemitism and criticism of the Israeli government, and the ADL’s report oftentimes ignores this distinction, and in doing so, it draws attention away from the very real crisis of antisemitism."
