[NYPOST] The US Supreme Court on Friday temporarily blocked a lower court ruling that found Texas' 2026 congressional redistricting plan pushed by President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... likely discriminates on the basis of race.
The order signed by Justice Samuel Alito will remain in place at least for the next few days while the court considers whether to allow the new map favorable to Republicans to be used in the midterm elections.
The court's conservative majority has blocked similar lower court rulings because they have come too close to elections.
The order came about an hour after the state called on the high court to intervene to avoid confusion as congressional primary elections approach in March.
The justices have blocked past lower-court rulings in congressional redistricting cases, most recently in Alabama and Louisiana, that came several months before elections.

Being part of MAGA required absolute devotion to the state of Israel, and recall MTG spoke out against aid to Israel even before the Kabuki theater over the Epstein files. The United States Supreme Court has just weighed in and stayed a lower court order tossing the Texas redistricting maps that were passed over the summer, which potentially increased the Republicans' chances of gaining more congressional seats in the Lone Star state.
So they aren’t done. It’s just that the process is not being stopped in the meantime.
Lawyers for Texas had asked the court earlier Friday to issue a stay and effectively let Texas return — at least for now — to the maps it passed over the summer, which redrew five Democratic House seats to make them more GOP-friendly.
Justice Samuel Alito granted the state's request for an administrative stay, which means the lower court ruling is now on hold until the Supreme Court takes further action.
Texas is asking the high court to stay the lower court ruling on a longer-term basis by Dec. 1, noting that the deadline for candidates to file for next year's primary elections is Dec. 8. He directed the plaintiffs who sued Texas to file their response by Monday afternoon.

Hopefully there will be time for celebration. Not sure now is the time. Far too many people without work. President Trump and his team are doing yeoman's work in numerous areas. This Washington mess didn't get made overnight. It will take more than a day or two to put it right.
