[GEO.TV] Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday warned that Pakistain could carry out strikes inside Afghanistan following recent terrorist attacks in Islamabad and South Wazoo, slamming the Afghan Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... regime for harbouring Lions of Islam behind the violence.
Over the past two days, Pakistain has witnessed two major terror incidents — one targeting Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan and another striking Islamabad.
Speaking on Geo News' programme 'Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath', the defence minister said cross-border action inside Afghanistan could not be "ruled out" following the two attacks.
Asif rejected the Afghan Taliban regime's condemnation of the attacks, saying that such expressions of regret could not "be taken as proof of sincerity". "Those sheltered by the Afghan Taliban are repeatedly attacking us," he said.
The defence minister warned India and Afghanistan against any misadventure, saying Pakistain would "pay back in the same coin".
"Pakistain will never initiate any military adventure," he assured. However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth... he said: "We will not let any act of aggression go unanswered; we will respond forcefully."
It is to be noted here that at least 12 were martyred and over 30 injured in the suicide kaboom in Islamabad.
Prior to this, Asif warned that Pakistain was fully capable of delivering a befitting response to cross-border terrorism.

Anyone who thinks that the Pakistain Army is fighting this war only in the border areas along Afghanistan or in the remote regions of Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. [ZAGAZOLA] Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have raided a bandits’ hideout in Aterayange general area of Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, neutralising one suspected bandit and recovering arms and ammunition.
Zagazola report that the operation was carried out between Monday night and early Tuesday.
Sources stated that troops of Sub-Sector 1A, led by Maj. M. Babalola, launched the raid after receiving intelligence on the location of a notorious bandit leader identified as Full Fire.
The troops arrived at the objective at about 3:45 a.m. and engaged the armed group.
Although the bandit leader escaped during the engagement, one bandit was neutralised.

India's security forces successfully disrupted a major conspiracy by dismantling the Faridabad module. The seizure of explosive materials played a significant role in averting potential threats. The operation highlighted the effectiveness of India's intelligence network in countering terrorism.
A DOCTOR'S DESCENT INTO RADICALIZATION
The first image of Dr Umar surfaced early Tuesday, showing the man suspected to have driven the white Hyundai i20 that exploded near the Red Fort. According to investigators, Dr Umar U Nabi, son of Gh Nabi Bhat, hailed from Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir and worked as a doctor at Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad. His mother, Shamima Banoo, belongs to Koil village in Pulwama.
Born on February 24, 1989, Dr Umar had once been regarded as a promising student. He completed his MD in Medicine from Government Medical College, Srinagar, before joining GMC Anantnag as a senior resident. Later, he shifted to Delhi, where he served as an Assistant Professor at Al-Falah Medical College until his alleged involvement in the blast.
Sources said his father, a government school teacher who has been mentally unwell, left his job over a decade ago. The family includes two brothers and a sister, both of whom-along with his mother-have been detained for questioning.
THE "FARIDABAD MODULE" AND THE TELEGRAM TRAIL
Investigators suspect Dr Umar was part of a network of medical professionals radicalised online through encrypted Telegram channels. The group, reportedly led by Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, is being referred to by officials as the "Faridabad module."
According to a senior officer, "These individuals appeared well-educated and unsuspecting, but they were deeply indoctrinated through digital platforms. Their professional status helped them operate quietly under the radar."
THE NIGHT OF THE EXPLOSION
At 6:52 pm on Monday, a white Hyundai i20 stopped at a traffic signal on Subhas Marg, a busy stretch near the Red Fort. Within seconds, the car exploded, causing widespread devastation. Several nearby vehicles caught fire, and people were seen thrown by the impact. Videos from the site showed the aftermath, with mangled bodies and shattered glass scattered across the street.
The explosion occurred just hours after Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir Police had arrested two of Umar's close aides, Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather and Dr Mujammil Shakil, in connection with a terror module. The operation also led to the seizure of 2,900 kg of explosives and a cache of weapons, including assault rifles and pistols. Officials believe the arrests may have triggered Dr Umar to carry out the suicide attack.
On Tuesday, police took Umar's mother, Shamima Banoo, for DNA testing in Pulwama to confirm the identity of the bomber. "We have taken the mother of the suspect to collect DNA samples in order to match with the parts found at the scene of the blast," an official told PTI.

Police in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday detained the father of the man suspected to be driving the car that exploded near the Red Fort for questioning, officials said.
Ghulam Nabi Bhat was picked up by the police from his residence at Koil in Pulwama, hours after his wife was taken for a DNA test, the officials said.
The police have rounded up several doctors who were working with blast suspect Umar Nabi in Faridabad, the officials said.
They said three other persons, who were linked to the sale and purchase of the car involved in the blast, have been detained for questioning.

Peshmerga forces based in between Makhmour and Gwer towns "spotted ISIS members using thermal binoculars at night in the Qarach plains about five days ago. They also carry out activities but they are limited and involve small numbers," Sirwan Barzani, who commands Peshmerga forces in the area, told Rudaw.
He added that the US-led global coalition against ISIS shares their belief that ISIS "terrorist jihadist ideology still persists."
"ISIS remains a threat because its ideology remains. It is true that they officially do not control any territory, but their jihadist ideology persists. They will [attack] whenever they find an opportunity," he said.
ISIS rose to power and seized swathes of Iraqi and Syrian land in 2014, declaring a so-called caliphate. The group was declared territorially defeated in Syria in 2019, two years after its defeat in Iraq. Despite its military defeat, it continues to pose security risks, particularly in the vast eastern deserts of Syria.
Sirwan Barzani added that their coordination with the coalition and Iraqi army is strong, "especially in terms of intelligence sharing and information exchange."
Qais al-Muhammadawi, deputy commander of Iraq's Joint Operations Command, told Rudaw in September that their cooperation with the coalition and Peshmerga was ongoing.
He believed that ISIS no longer poses a threat to Iraq.
"All they have is a little bit of movement and a number of sleeper cells in some areas of Kirkuk and deserts of Anbar [province], and we will destroy them," he stated at the time.
The fight against ISIS marked a key moment of cooperation between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army, which had historically been at odds. In recent years, both sides have formed joint brigades and launched coordinated operations to close security gaps in the disputed territories.
"We have two joint brigades with the Peshmerga. Together, we exert full efforts to minimize threats and fill security voids," Muhammadawi noted.
Sirwan Barzani also highlighted their ties with the army.
"Our coordination with the Iraqi army is very strong. We always have joint operations and the joint brigades, although they are few in number, have filled some gaps," he said.
Makhmour is located southwest of Erbil and administratively part of Nineveh province.
