The agreement represented the further warming of ties between Washington and Doha and came less than two weeks after US President Donald Trump ...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania... signed an executive order committing the US to defend Qatar if it came under attack.
Just over a month ago, such an attack unfolded when Israel fired missiles into Doha, targeting Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... ’s top leaders as they huddled to discuss the latest ceasefire proposal.
The strike failed to kill any of Hamas’s top leadership and ended up galvanizing the entire Arab world around Doha’s calls for the US to rein in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Several weeks later, Trump had the Israeli premier apologize to his Qatari counterpart in the Oval Office, handing him a scripted apology that Netanyahu was coaxed into reading.
"Today, we’re announcing a letter of acceptance in building a Qatari Emiri Air Force facility at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho," Hegseth said during a signing ceremony at the Pentagon.
The base "will be host to a contingent of Qatari F-15s and pilots to enhance our combined training, increase lethality, interoperability," Hegseth added. "It’s just another example of our partnership."
[FOXNEWS] Pro-Paleostinian agitators accused of being behind a riot Tuesday are now being charged with "promotion of anarchy" after the melee left several officers injured.
The Boston Herald reported that the Suffolk District Attorney's Office on Thursday upgraded charges for all 13 suspects, who are now accused of violating a state law that makes "promotion of anarchy" illegal and is a felony charge, according to court documents.
On Tuesday night, between 200 and 300 people participated in a pro-Paleostinian demonstration in downtown Boston that quickly descended into a riot. Thirteen people were arrested after police allege they became violent mostly peaceful toward law enforcement officers.
A spokesperson for the district attorney's office told the Herald the upgraded charges come after a Boston Police Department review of posters promoting the so-called protest, which feature a quote from a Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... spokesperson and a burning police cruiser.
"Peace be upon your souls that will one day soar in the skies of your liberated Al Quds and Al Aqsa, purified from the defilement of your killers," the poster read, according to police.
Because of that, police determined there was probable cause that the group "intended to conduct their rally and march in such a way that it induced fear, caused destruction and disruption, caused injury and promoted anarchy."
Four copperswere maimed during the riot.
"Further investigation revealed violent mostly peaceful imagery and rhetoric used in promotional media for the Oct. 7 incident," the DA's spokesperson said. "This organizing material promoted violence against police and presented an immediate threat to public safety which, combined with the actions of the individuals arrested, provided clear justification for the enhanced charges."

Gronewold is facing mounting backlash after declaring his troops would be tasked with protecting protesters at federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities, a direct contradiction to the orders of President Donald Trump.
The week-old remarks, made before an Oregon Senate subcommittee, resurfaced on social media this week as a federal appeals court weighs whether Trump can deploy the Guard to Portland to quell ongoing anti-ICE protests, according to The Mirror US.
During an appearance last week before the Oregon Senate’s Veterans and Emergency Preparedness Subcommittee, General Gronewold attempted to reassure state lawmakers about what the National Guard’s role would be if federalized under Title 10 orders.
"I don’t want to speculate on what level of training they will receive or what they will be authorized to perform as far as rules for the use of force. The Title X headquarters will provide that training to them.
It is my understanding, however, that protective crowd control will be one of the things they’re trained on, and I will provide my advice to the Title X commander.
The Oregon National Guard men and women serve two purposes: one, to defend America, and two, to protect Oregonians. So, by serving in this mission, they will be protecting any protesters at the ICE facility. That’s my desire.
Now, to answer your question — "full force" is not a doctrinal term that the Army uses, so I’m not sure exactly what that means, and I don’t want to speculate as to what level of force they will be allowed to use."

Full of grief after two years of war but glad to be going home, thousands of displaced Paleostinians set off across the Gazoo Strip on Friday, as a truce between Israel and Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... took hold.
Timidly at first, then in a huge column, thousands walked northwards in a line at least a kilometer long from the safer areas of central Gaza towards Gaza City, the scene of a grueling Israeli offensive before Friday’s ceasefire.
People chanted "God is great," cheering and whistling in their joy as they walked on a recently opened Mediterranean seafront road, AFP journalists saw.
Ibrahim al-Helou, a 40-year-old man from Gaza City displaced in the central refugee camp of al-Maghazi, told AFP he was excited, but remained cautious.
He said that when he began heading home, "the situation was dangerous, with gunfire, so I waited for a while."
"Now, the road has been opened and we have all continued on our way back to Gaza to check on our homes and assess the situation."
Ahmad Azzam, a 35-year-old who was also displaced to central Gaza from Gaza City, said he moved as soon as he heard of the troops pulling back.
"When I heard news of the Israeli withdrawal and that the road would be opened in the coming hours, my family and I immediately headed to al-Rashid Street to return to Gaza," he told AFP.
He added that, like Helou, he found the situation dangerous at first, and initially chose to wait on a hill overlooking the coastal road.
"Only a few people are risking moving forward," he said, speaking at noon, the time the troops’ pullback officially ended.
The military said Friday that troops had completed a withdrawal to agreed-upon deployment lines in the Gaza Strip on Friday at noon, officially beginning the ceasefire.
It said in a separate statement in Arabic that Gaza’s main north-south axis, Salah al-Din Road, had also been reopened, but warned Gazooks against approaching army troops still stationed inside the Paleostinian territory.

Destroyed and damaged buildings, their facades torn off by blasts or crumbling upon their foundations, stood on all sides as the returnees walked in the morning sun, shortly after news spread that Israeli forces had withdrawn from parts of Khan Younis.
"We’re happy. Even if we return to ruins with no life, at least it’s our land," Ameer Abu Iyadeh, a returnee, told AFP.
"We’re going back to our areas, full of wounds and sorrow, but we thank God for this situation," he said, smiling, a pink school backpack strapped to his chest, holding a jerrycan full of water in one hand and his young daughter in the other.
"God willing, everyone will return to their areas," the 32-year-old said, while his two other daughters walked by his side, holding hands.
Areej Abu Saadeh, a Paleostinian woman who lost a daughter and a son during the war, said she could not wait to get home.
"We’ve been displaced for two years now, living on the sidewalks with no shelter and nowhere to stay," she told AFP.
"We’re now on our way to Bani Suheila, running — I just want to reach my place," she said, referring to her town east of Khan Younis.

Operatives belonging to Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... ’s internal security apparatus tasked with maintaining order within the Strip made their first public appearance just hours after a ceasefire in Gazoo came into effect, footage released by Hamas-affiliated media on Friday showed.
The footage only showed a handful of button men, and it was unclear whether there were any beyond those photographed.
The publication of their deployment appeared aimed at demonstrating that Hamas remains the most dominant force in parts of Gaza, even if severely battered after two years of war.
It appeared to be the first appearance of internal security officers since the previous ceasefire deal was reached in January.
While Hamas has agreed to release the remaining 48 hostages early next week, it has pushed back on subsequent elements of the US plan for ending the war, which have been put off for subsequent negotiations after the hostage-prisoner swap is completed.
Those include its disarmament and its exclusion from any role in the post-war management of Gaza. Hamas has insisted on keeping at least some of its weapons for so long as the broader conflict with Israel is ongoing.
While it has agreed to cede control over the governance of Gaza to an independent committee of Paleostinian technocrats, it also insists on remaining part of the Paleostinian national political dialogue.
The remnants of Hamas’s military force on display Friday highlight why some of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s far-right coalition partners oppose the deal inked on Thursday to end the war in Gaza. The two far-right parties are also seeking Jewish resettlement of the strip.
Yet-to-be-agreed-upon parts of the plan envision the decommissioning of Hamas’s weapons and the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, and Netanyahu has asserted that Israel will resume fighting if those elements aren’t implemented.
In the meantime, Israel remains in control of over 50% of the Gaza Strip after its initial pullback earlier Friday. The IDF is remain in those positions after the hostages are released next week, while further withdrawals will be tied to Hamas’s disarmament and the establishment of an international stabilization force, which could take months to set up.
LOCAL GAZA OFFICIALS THANK TRUMP, INVITE HIM TO THE STRIP
The renewed visibility of Hamas’ security forces came amid a rare public show of gratitude from Gaza’s civilian leadership.
A group of local officials led by Iyad Abu Ramadan, head of the Gaza Chamber of Commerce, sent a letter on Friday to US President Trump, thanking him for bringing about the end of the war in Gaza and inviting him to visit the Strip.
The letter, which was obtained by The Times of Israel, states: "We wish to express our sincere gratitude for your leadership and unwavering commitment to ending the war in Gaza... Your efforts have restored to us the most vital thing — hope."

In the letter, the officials invite Trump to visit the Gaza Strip, writing: "We would be deeply honored to welcome you to Gaza to witness firsthand the resilience of our people and the renewal your leadership has helped make possible."
ISRAEL READIES FOR HOSTAGE RELEASE Meanwhile,

Under the ceasefire agreement, Hamas will release all remaining hostages, living or dead, by Monday in exchange for 250 Paleostinian security prisoners and 1,700 Gazook detainees.
Israel currently believes that Hamas may release the hostages earlier than previously expected, according to reports in Hebrew media, with some saying the release could take place on Sunday, rather than Monday.
US President Donald Trump ...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried.... first told hostage families that all of the captives would be released on Monday, but he later told news hounds it might not happen until Tuesday.
"It could happen any day now from this moment on," a senior Israeli official said Friday. The official noted, however, that there has been no confirmation that Hamas will release hostages before Monday.
Israel has demanded that all hostages be released in one phase. Still, it is prepared for the possibility that the release could occur in multiple stages.
However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning... if Hamas does not release all the hostages by noon on Monday, Israel will consider it a violation of the ceasefire agreement and respond in kind.
Hamas has told mediators that it may not be able to retrieve all of the bodies of hostages, as some of the fighters who knew where they were buried were killed in the war. Israel is aware of this.
The deal, inked Thursday, establishes a multinational task force aimed at helping locate all of the hostages’ remains, and the text appears to recognize that the process could take time, but it’s unclear how Israel will react if some of the bodies are not returned by Monday and whether the mediators will hold Jerusalem accountable for implementing subsequent phases of the deal if so.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, government hostage pointman Gal Hirsch spoke with the head of the Red Thingy in Israel, Julien Lerisson, on Friday to coordinate reception and care for the returning hostages.
Additionally, the IDF expanded its Re’im base facility to handle initial physical and mental health checks and family reunions for the released hostages. Those needing urgent medical care will be airlifted directly to hospitals such as Soroka in Beersheba.

The director of al-Shifa Hospital, Mohammed Abu Salmiya, told AFP that 33 of the bodies were brought to hospitals across Gaza City, which was the scene of a grueling Israeli offensive before Friday’s ceasefire.
He said that one of the dead had been "targeted today by Israeli fire near the Baraka area in Sheikh Radwan, north of Gaza City."

A Gazoo flotilla activist accused of attacking a prison guard will be deported from Israel this weekend after striking a plea bargain with prosecutors on Friday.
Reyes Rigo Cervilla, a 56-year-old Spanish citizen who partook in the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla earlier this month, will board a flight back to Spain on Saturday after being convicted on two counts of assault.
She will also pay a fine of NIS 10,000 (around $3,055) before departing Israel.
Authorities initially claimed that Cervilla bit a guard while being returned to her cell after a medical check-up at Ketziot Prison before she was scheduled to be deported, but she has denied the allegation.
Police prosecutors from the Negev precinct later backtracked on this allegation and in an amended indictment filed with the Beersheba Magistrate’s Court said only that she scratched the officer while refusing to enter her cell.
Cervilla attacked the guard by "grabbing her by the left hand and digging her nails into her flesh," causing her "a deep cut and redness," prosecutors charged. The guard’s cut was disinfected and she was given a tetanus vaccine. and rabies?
The Spanish activist pleaded guilty to the charges in order to return home, her lawyer Hayl Abu Gharara told The Times of Israel, though she maintains that she acted in self-defense and accused the prison guard of behaving violent mostly peacefully toward her and her friend.
During her hearing, Cervilla claimed that she was subject to beatings and violence from prison guards during her detention.
"They gave me beatings, they pushed us a lot," she told the court. "Unlike what was described, they attacked my friend, I tried to defend her. When I got ahold of my friend they grabbed me by the head and my glasses fell. After receiving all sorts of shoves from every which way, I got up from the floor."
She further described being forbidden from exiting an overcrowded cell for an entire day. "We were 14 women in a five-person cell. They didn’t give us water, the food was smelly, I was shoved, they hit us, I didn’t receive everything I should have," she said.
Cervilla’s claims echoed those of prominent Swedish activist Greta "Pippi" Thunberg ...an autistic sixteen year old Swedish expert on climate change, though I guess she's older now... and other participants in the Sumud flotilla, who alleged guards had repeatedly mistreated them over the course of their detention.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who oversees the prison service, said in a statement that he was "proud" of the harsh conditions the activists were subjected to.
"I went to visit Ketziot Prison and I was proud that we are treating the ’flotilla activists’ as terror supporters, whoever supports terrorism is a terrorist, and deserves the conditions of terrorists," he said Sunday.
Israel intercepted 42 vessels of the Sumud flotilla on October 1. The flotilla, which carried a symbolic amount of humanitarian aid, was the latest attempt by activists to challenge Israel’s years-long naval blockade on Gaza.
Similar attempts were intercepted in June and July. Israeli officials have denounced the Sumud and other missions as pro-Hamas ..always the voice of sweet reason... stunts.

"Of course, there are no homes — they’ve been destroyed — but we are happy just to return to where our homes were, even over the rubble," Mahdi Saqla, 40, said as he stood by a makeshift tent in central Gaza. "That, too, is a great joy."
Trudging along the road along with her family, former Gaza City resident Mahira al-Ashi said she was so excited to return to the city where she’d grown up that she couldn’t sleep as she waited for news about when they could start moving.
"By God, when they opened the road, I was so happy to go back," she said.
CONFRONTING STARK REALITY
But for many of those who have already returned, the stark reality of the situation quickly sank in.
