the pardon does however reduce, maybe eliminates Fauci's ability to use the 5th amendment in future testimony - which I think is what Senator Paul is after

Mr. Murdoch père is to be congratulated on this second worst outcome — the worst would have been if he’d lost.

Over the past few years, 94-year-old Murdoch has been battling out in court to ensure that Lachlan will retain full control of his father's media empire, which includes Fox News, The Wall Street Journal and The Times of London.
Fox Corp and News Corp both confirmed on Monday long-running dispute over the Murdoch family trust had been settled.
Under the new arrangement, the previous structure of the trust is being dismantled.
According to legal documents obtained by the The New York Times
...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... , Prudence MacLeod, Elisabeth Murdoch, and James Murdoch, will now exit the business entirely.

Had to cancel my subscription to the Wall Street Journal because they kept insisting that Trump's claims of Democrat fraud in the 2020 election were false. They kept using that word false just about every day and I got sick of it.

The Wall Street Journal gets the best graduates of the best journalism programs. The problem with that is that they are the product of journalism programs who can write really well — though unlike those the New York Times hires, at least do they work instead of writing wholly invented fairy tales.
[ZeroHedge] As reported by CHCH-TV, a Canadian man recently received an order from the city of Hamilton to remove a series of private cameras on his property, mounted to thwart criminality.
Via CHCH-TV (emphasis added):
“A local Hamilton man has been ordered by the city to take down his security cameras that he has on the outside of his house, despite his claim that his footage has been useful in crime investigations.
Dan Myles says he has 10 security cameras outside his home on MacNab Street North in downtown Hamilton, and he says he needs them.
“Because we had a lot of break and enters into our home and homes around us,” said Myles.
Myles has posted videos of break-ins online.
He also says police have asked him for his videos over the years to help with investigations.
CHCH News reached out to Hamilton police, and they say they can’t confirm the use of Myles’ videos, but said they often work with homeowners, businesses and drivers to get footage…
But last week, Myles received an order to comply with the City of Hamilton’s fortification by-law, which asked him to remove his cameras.
The by-law says homeowners are not permitted to view or listen beyond the perimeters of their own property.
“I got a notice from by-law and I thought ‘how could this be’,” said Myles. “Everybody has Ring doorbells pointed at the street, and my neighbours have cameras pointed at my house, and we all point cameras at each other.””
In this case, the city offered no explanation for the order.
However, Canadian state media has decried the general racism allegedly promulgated by recording minorities committing crime.

Father-of-two Kirk, 31, the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth organization that regularly holds events on college campuses nationwide, was shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem and died about two and half hours later.
His liquidation not only devastated many members of Congress who knew the activist personally, but unleashed sadness, confusion and anger among politicians in the Capitol on both sides of the political spectrum.
'Political violence must be called out,' Johnson said in a statement about an hour after the shooting.
'We need everyone who has a platform to say this loudly and clearly: we can settle disagreements and disputes in a civil manner.'
He then went inside and held a moment of silence for Kirk on the chamber floor as questions swirled about whether the father-of-two was alive or dead.
Following the somber moment of silence, Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., called out to Johnson to hold a moment of prayer for the 31-year-old.
That's when things got ugly.

One unidentified Democrat in the room shouted out something about a school shooting at Evergreen High School, Colorado, on Wednesday, asking why no prayers had been offered for that tragedy, which happened within hours of Kirk's.
Three people were rushed to the hospital at death's door after the school shooting.
There were about a dozen Democrats who protested against the prayers for Kirk.
One unidentified Democrat blurted out: 'Pass some gun laws!'
The liberals' politician rejection of the prayer immediately enraged Republicans.
'You f***ing own this!' screamed Florida Republican Anna Paulina Luna. Watch yer language. You sound like a Democrat.
She accused Democrats earlier in the day of being the origin of the violence against Kirk. Of course they were. He was in the opposition. Democrats are the party of political assassination.
'I am done with the rhetoric this rotten House and corrupt media has caused,' she posted on X shortly after the news of the shooting broke. 'Every d*** one of you who called us fascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... s did this.' Objectively true.
Speaker Johnson, frustrated with the screaming across both aisles, bashed his gavel and used his microphone to demand order in the House. The speaker quickly got both parties to settle down. That's surprising.
Before he entered the House floor, Johnson noted how he was close with Kirk - a figure who has been ever-present in conservative circles since TPUSA's founding in 2012. 'It's devastating news,' Johnson told news hounds before the moment of silence. 'The idea that political violence has taken one of the strongest voices on the conservative side is a great heartbreak.' The idea that political violence is getting rampant in a formerly somewhat peaceful society is pretty devastating too.
'Charlie was a close friend of mine and a confidant, and he will be sorely missed, and we need every political leader to decry the violence and to do it loudly. The problem is in the human heart, and it's gotten out of hand.' Yeah, yeah. Thoughts and prayers. Do something about it.
Other politicians shared their devastation with the Daily Mail. "I share yer pain.."
'I lost a friend today,' House Foreign Affairs Chairman Brian Mast, R-Fla., told the Daily Mail.
Florida Republican Rep. Cory Mills told the Daily Mail: 'It's such a horrendous and just horrific incident to watch. My thoughts and prayers are obviously with him and his family.' Perhaps you could support the ideas he believed in. Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna stated: 'Political violence has no place in America. I'm saddened, and we need to do better as citizens of this country, the hate and anger that has taken over.' To which you've contributed.
There is no we here. Only the Democratic/Progressive side is killing people. You do better, Congressman Khanna.

[NBCNEWS] A federal judge on Tuesday granted a temporary restraining order blocking President Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... 's firing of Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook for now.
The ruling means Cook will remain on the board of the central bank until her case is heard at length. She is allowed to continue carrying out her work during that time.
In granting the order, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb said that "the Court will enter an injunction directing [Fed Chair Jerome] Powell and the Board of Governors to allow Cook to continue to operate as a member of the Board for the pendency of this litigation."
"The public interest in Federal Reserve independence weighs in favor of Cook's reinstatement," Cobb wrote. "That independence is critical in helping the nation's 'banking system to promote stability.'"

Lawyers for Cook argued in federal court in Washington that Trump's attempt to fire her for ''mortgage fraud'' was illegal and lacked ''cause,'' which is the only reason a Fed governor can be removed. ''Cause'' is commonly understood to be some kind of wrongdoing.
If Cobb's ruling remains in effect, Cook would be able to participate in the Fed's highly anticipated two-day meeting that starts Sept. 16, when the central bank is likely to lower interest rates.
However,
a woman is only as old as she admits... Trump's Justice Department on Wednesday afternoon appealed Cobb's ruling. It's unclear how quickly that appeal would be heard.
