[Yahoo News/VOX, h/t Smart News] Last month, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson dropped an inflammatory allegation on most of her colleagues.
On August 21, the Supreme Court handed down a baffling order that required researchers, who claim that the Trump administration illegally cut off their federal grants, to navigate a convoluted procedural maze in two different courts. Jackson labeled this decision "Calvinball jurisprudence with a twist." Calvinball, an ever-changing game featured in the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip, "has only one rule: There are no fixed rules."
In this Court, Jackson continued, there are two: The rules always change, and "this Administration always wins." Q.E.D.
Last year, after five of the Court’s Republicans voted to neutralize a constitutional provision barring insurrectionists from seeking public office during the 2024 election, the Court’s Democrats signed a brief opinion accusing them of going "beyond the necessities of this case to limit how [the Constitution] can bar an oathbreaking insurrectionist from becoming President."
That opinion triggered another from Justice Amy Coney Barrett. While Barrett agreed with her Democratic colleagues about how the case should have been decided, she scolded the three Democrats — declaring that "this is not the time to amplify disagreement with stridency."
Barrett’s call for honeyed words in a case about a violent attack on the Capitol is quaint, but it is also a perilous thing for a justice to ignore. If the Democrats offend Barrett, they risk pushing her deeper into the arms of President Donald Trump and his Republican Party. Sorry, I can't read any farther. You'll have to go to the link.

[Federalist] Democrat Party leaders invited an Atlantic news hound to tell the world their current political strategy is to use U.S. courts to reject the consequences of losing a presidential election. "The Anti-Trump Strategy That’s Actually Working," say Michael Scherer’s Sept. 2 headline and subhed, is "Lawsuits, lawsuits, and more lawsuits."
The vast majority of the nearly 400 lawsuits filed against the second Trump administration in its first seven months, Scherer reports, did not organically arise from American needs and on-the-ground realities. No, they were pre-planned in advance, and plaintiff cutouts recruited from Democrat constituencies including activist groups and labor unions. These lawsuits are cut-and-paste operations designed to deny American voters the results of electing a Republican president, using complicit blue-state judges who care nothing for the rule of law or Constitution.
"This backbone of the Trump resistance has as much in common with political organizing and investigative reporting as it does with legal theory," Scherer writes, unashamedly describing the lawsuits as overt political operations created years in advance of Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... ’s second inauguration. "... Attorneys general would represent states, advocacy groups such as Public Citizen and the ACLU would focus on their areas of expertise, and the unions would gather stories from their members and identify plaintiffs who could show harm. Atop this infrastructure, new organizations took shape, bringing in tens of millions of dollars to pay for it all."
This article recalls the infamous Time article by Molly Ball describing how a similar — and surely overlapping — constellation of well-funded leftist groups and politicians "fortifi[ed]" the 2020 election with lawsuits and other efforts pushing unreliable voting methods.
COURTS OVERTURNING ELECTIONS
The truth is, Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy,white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... as a party no longer respect election results, a key component of self-government. They have moved on from respecting Americans’ individual illusory sovereignty to dominating us by any means necessary.
Courts have thus become an essential component of Democrats’ election-denial political strategy, simply because hundreds are eagerly cooperating with this scheme. Why do the hard but fair political work of getting major measures through Congress when you can simply run your policy preferences through unelected courts willing to commandeer the entire nation at the flick of a computer keyboard?
As Scherer writes, this strategy has been extremely successful:
Since Inauguration Day, executive orders have been defanged or blocked, agency closures delayed, government-employee firings reversed. Deportation flights have been delayed, law firms have freed themselves from Trump’s retaliation, and foreign students have won the ability to continue studying at U.S. universities. Courts have forced the president to restore cut services and spending to AmeriCorps, the U.S. African Development Foundation, the CDC, and other agencies. They have upended an effort by the Office of Refugee Resettlement to make it more difficult to release unaccompanied minors from government custody and forced Trump to pay for foreign-aid bills he had hoped to stiff-arm. A federal appeals court ruled Friday that many of Trump’s tariffs were illegal, setting up a likely hearing by the Supreme Court

As Democrat Senators read prepared zingers to try and corner RFK Jr. over vaccines and other malarkey, Kennedy hit back with several very specific haymakers during the three-hour session - calling the Democratic lawmakers 'liars' - and even pointing out the Elizabeth Warren has taken nearly a million dollars from pharmaceutical companies.
At the center of Thursday’s hearing was Kennedy’s surprise decision last week to fire CDC Director Susan Monarez, just a month after she took the job. The move plunged the agency into turmoil, prompting several senior officials to resign.
Kennedy accused Monarez of lying in a Wall Street Journal op-ed published the same morning, in which she claimed she was removed for refusing to "rubber stamp" vaccine recommendations from Kennedy’s advisory committee.
"We are the sickest country in the world, that’s why we have to fire people at CDC," Kennedy said.

I suspect that everyone in DC understands that if there is a successful attempt on a MAGA politician’s life right now they will reap the whirlwind. Most of them like the status quo although several of them would like to be in charge of a CCP level police state. They can boil the frog to that outcome, but whacking Kennedy would not lead to their desired future state.

At a certain point in this next 3 years we will need some legislation passed to back up all these EO’s. Overall the war is being won. The battle in the first term was on the border wall. All the border stuff is now law, is funded and is happening. The skirmishes are all occurring now in locations and over subject matter that we previously considered lost for ever: DC crime, sanctuary cities and trans rights.

[PJMedia] One thing that can be said that’s favorable about Zohran Mamdani, the avowed socialist who is almost certain to be the next mayor of New York City: he loves his parents. That fact is, however, not as heartwarming as it might be under different circumstances.
The New York Post revealed Sunday that "Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... -backing Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... has bankrolled film and stage projects by socialist Zohran Mamdani’s Israel-bashing movie-director mom — and one of its royals is now pushing her son’s mayoral bid."
Now, Zohran Mamdani is his own man, and what his mother has done has nothing whatsoever to do with his mayoral bid, right? Nor does it shed any light on his own views, right? Sure. After all, the candidate’s father, Mahmood Mamdani, a Marxist professor at Columbia University, said back in June that "we hadn’t bargained for being parents of a prospective mayor," and appeared anxious to downplay any idea that he or Zohran’s mother, Mira Nair, had influenced young Zohran unduly: "He’s his own person. Now, of course what we do as his parents is part of the environment in which he grew up, and he couldn’t help but engage with it. That doesn’t mean anything is reflected back on us."
Zohran’s mom, however, took a sharply different view, saying: "I don’t agree! Of course the world we live in, and what we write and film and think about, is the world that Zohran has very much absorbed."
Of course he did. And that world seems to have been to a large extent funded by Qatar, the Moslem Brüderbund-supporting emirate from which Hamas top dogs watched the Oct. 7 jihad massacres, and got on their knees to thank Allah for allowing them to murder a large number of Jews. The Post noted that "Sheikha al-Mayassa bint Hamad al-Thani, sister to the ruling emir, and the state-funded cultural institutions she controls, have supported Mira Nair and her creative projects since at least 2009, even extending a personal invitation to participate in the cultural program the country organized as part of the festivities around hosting the 2022 World Cup."

The links between Mira Nair and rich Qataris go back at least to 2009, when Nair’s movie Amelia "opened the first-ever Doha Tribeca Film Festival in the Gulf regime’s capital." This funding seems to have focused particularly on whitewashing Islamic jihad violence and shifting the blame for it to America, as in Nair’s 2012 movie The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which portrays a Pak Moslem turning to jihad after American officials are unkind to him. The Doha Film Institute forked over a cool $15 million for that one, which covered its entire budget.
As its support for Hamas and sheltering of Hamas leaders indicates, Qatar also hates Israel, and that’s fine by Mira Nair. In July 2013, the summer before young Zohran co-founded his college’s chapter of Students for Justice in Paleostine, a far-left, virulently anti-Israel organization, his mother was invited to be the guest of honor at the Haifa International Film Festival to highlight The Reluctant Fundamentalist.
Haifa International Film Festival officials were almost certainly leftists who shared the left’s unwavering penchant for embracing any criticism, any denigration, any dismissal of the dominant and mainstream culture. Mira Nair, however, was not interested in participating in any celebration of her film in Israel. In a series of tweets, she announced: "I will not be going to Israel at this time. I will go to Israel when the walls come down. I will go to Israel when occupation is gone. I will go to Israel when the state does not privilege one religion over another. I will go to Israel when Apartheid is over. I stand w/ Paleostine for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) & the larger Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Mov’t."
This is not to say that Nair boycotted the Haifa International Film Festival at Qatar’s behest, but just that in Mira Nair, rich Qataris found a person who was entirely in sync with their world view. And now Zohran Mamdani, who has said repeatedly that he was motivated to enter politics because of his support for the forces arrayed against Israel, is about to carry his mother’s perspective into Gracie Mansion. New York City will never be the same.

Alexander has also taken a particular interest in supporting youth activism and social justice campaigns, ensuring the ideological continuity of the empire while targeting the next wave of conservative leaders.
Betcha there will be nothing left by the time the grandchildren are ready to join in the proceedings, a very good thing indeed.
