[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... says the UAE banned its aircraft from entering the country after Khartoum shot down an Emirati plane carrying Colombian mercenaries.
The UAE also barred a Sudanese airliner from taking off from Abu Dhabi airport, a Sudanese authority said Thursday.
The flight ban, not yet officially announced by the UAE, marks a significant escalation in the deteriorating relationship between Khartoum and Abu Dhabi.
Sudan’s air force on Wednesday destroyed an Emirati aircraft reportedly carrying Colombian mercenaries as it was landing in an airport in Darfur controlled by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Army-aligned state TV reported that the aircraft had taken off from an airbase in the Persian Gulf, carrying dozens of imported muscle and military equipment intended for the RSF, which controls nearly all of Darfur.
A UAE official told AFP Thursday that the "unfounded allegations" were "entirely false" and not supported by any evidence.
However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... Sudan’s army-aligned government said it had positive evidence to prove it. The Sudanese army, led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has repeatedly complained that the United Arab Emirates is sending RSF mercenary troops and advanced weaponry, including drones, via Nyala Airport in Darfur.

[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Tribes in Hadhramaut province, eastern Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... , announced on Thursday the closure of the main road to the Abida tribe in Ma’rib and their businesses in response to the continued detention of Mohsen bin Hussein al-Attas for nearly two years.
A statement issued by the Hadhramaut’s Nahd and al-Attas tribes explained that the road closure came after the deadline for al-Attas’ release expired, which was agreed upon at a meeting held at the end of last July.
The road closure decision took effect in the al-Manba’ath area of Wadi al-Ain and Hawrah on Thursday, preventing the return of gas tankers to Marib. The statement threatened to take further escalatory measures if the kidnapped person is not released.

[GEOTV] London's Metropolitan Police arrested more than 365 people at a protest against Britannia's decision to ban the group Paleostine Action, the force said.

I support Paleostine Action", video taken by Rooters at the scene showed.
Israel denies allegations of being responsible for genocide in Gaza.
The Rooters video showed demonstrators who had gathered in Parliament Square by the Houses of Parliament being carried away by police. The crowd chanted "shame on you" at the police.
In a post on X, the police force said it had arrested 365 people for supporting a proscribed organization.
It also arrested seven people for other offences including five for assaults on officers, adding none was maimed.
Police says anyone ‘expressing support’ for group ‘arrested or in the process of being arrested’; ‘Let them arrest us all,’ says one attendee. ‘This government has gone too far’
Police in London arrested at least 450 people for supporting Palestine Action on lSaturday at the latest and largest protest backing the group since the government banned it last month under anti-terror laws.
The UK capital’s Metropolitan Police said it expected to make further arrests at the demonstration in Parliament Square, as organizers claimed only a “fraction” of the hundreds who turned out had been detained.
“That claim simply isn’t true,” the Met said in a statement, noting some of the people there were onlookers or not visibly supporting Palestine Action.
“We are confident that anyone who came to Parliament Square today to hold a placard expressing support for Palestine Action was either arrested or is in the process of being arrested,” it added.
Attendees, bearing signs saying “Oppose genocide, support Palestine Action” and other slogans, applauded those being arrested and shouted “Shame on you” at officers.
“Let them arrest us all,” Richard Bull, 42, a wheelchair user in attendance, told AFP. “This government has gone too far. I have nothing to feel ashamed of.”
A group called Defend Our Juries organized the event as part of what it called an escalation in its “lift the ban” campaign seeking to reverse the government’s decision.
“Once the meaning of ‘terrorism’ is separated from campaigns of violence against a civilian population, and extended to include those causing economic damage or embarrassment to the rich, the powerful and the criminal, then the right to freedom of expression has no meaning and democracy is dead,” the group said on its website.
It said in a press release that it suspected police had been interfering in its attempts to organize opposition to Palestine Action’s ban, noting a web-hosting company shut down its website earlier this week.
London’s Met Police and other UK forces have made scores of similar arrests on previous weekends since the government outlawed Palestine Action on July 5.
Anyone expressing support for a proscribed group risks arrest under UK anti-terror laws.
Police announced this week that the first three people had been charged in the English and Welsh criminal justice system with supporting Palestine Action following their arrests at a July 5 demo.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper moved to ban Palestine Action after activists broke into a British air force base in southern England on June 20 to protest British military support for Israel’s war with Hamas. The activists sprayed red paint into the engines of two tanker planes at the RAF Brize Norton base in Oxfordshire and caused further damage with crowbars.
Support for Palestine Action and Hamas. Waving the flag of the Taliban. Rants about Zionist control.
This is what an average Saturday in London looks like now.@MetPoliceUK and forces from across the country were brought in, and at least 466 arrests were made.
— Campaign Against Antisemitism (@antisemitism) August 9, 2025
Palestine Action had previously targeted Israeli defense contractors and other sites in Britain that they believe have links with the Israeli military.
The interior ministry noted ahead of Saturday’s protests that its members were also suspected of other “serious attacks” that involved “violence, significant injuries and extensive criminal damage.”
Critics of the ban, including NGOs like Amnesty International and Greenpeace, have lambasted the move as legal overreach and a threat to free speech.
Amnesty International UK Chief Executive Sacha Deshmukh wrote to Met Police chief Mark Rowley this week urging restraint be exercised when policing people holding placards expressing support for Palestine Action.
The NGO has argued arrests of such people are in breach of international human rights law.
A UK court challenge against the decision to proscribe Palestine Action as a terror organization will be heard later this year.
[IsraelTimes] Montreal Police are investigating after a 32-year-old Jewish man was assaulted while he was with his two children, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reports.
A 28-second video circulating on social media shows part of the attack — which occurred in the borough of Villeray—Saint-Michel—Parc-Extension — beginning with the assailant straddling the man and beating him.
The assailant then picks up some groceries and throws what appears to be a kippa in a nearby splash pad area.
Police say the reason for the assault is not yet known, and that the man, who was wearing ultra-Orthodox attire, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to CBC.
[IsraelTimes] A drone launched at Israel “from the east” was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force a short while ago, the IDF says for the second time in less than an hour.
No sirens were activated “according to protocol,” as no Israeli towns were under threat, the IDF says.
According to preliminary assessments in the IDF, this drone too was likely launched from Yemen.

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... 's civil defence agency said at least 37 people were killed by Israeli fire on Saturday, including 30 civilians who were waiting to collect aid.
Civil defence front man Mahmud Bassal told AFP that 12 people were killed and nearly 200 maimed when Israeli forces opened fire on them as they gathered near a border crossing in northern Gaza that has been used for aid deliveries.
Six more people were killed and 30 maimed after Israeli troops targeted civilians assembling near an aid point in central Gaza, he said.
Strikes in central Gaza also resulted in multiple casualties, according to Bassal, while a drone attack near the southern city of Khan Yunis killed at least three people and maimed several others.
According to the report, Abd al-Salam al-Hayya and Mu’az Abd al-Salam al-Hayya were cutting firewood in the Gaza City neighborhood of Shejaiya when they were killed by Israeli shelling.
Hayya leads Hamas’ negotiating team and is based in Doha.
Thousands of Palestinians congregate daily near food distribution points in Gaza, including four managed by the controversial US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which has been plagued by near-daily shooting incidents that have seen hundreds killed as they try to reach the GHF distribution centers.
The United Nations says more than 1,300 people have been killed trying to obtain aid supplies in the enclave since the GHF began operating in May, most of them shot by Israeli forces operating near GHF sites.
But we know the UN lies. So show the evidence supporting those deaths, and the additional evidence that it was the IDF that killed those who died, and not Hamas assassins with guns and knives hiding within the crowd.
The IDF has acknowledged firing warning shots at crowds that get too close to its soldiers, but called the UN tallies exaggerated, though it hasn’t provided alternate numbers.
The deadly incidents are not limited to GHF sites.
In recent weeks, images of starving Palestinians, particularly children, have alarmed the world, ramping up international pressure on Israel to enable more aid into the coastal enclave, where war has been raging since the devastating Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Among the steps that Israel agreed to take to improve the humanitarian situation in the Strip was the resumption of airdrops into the Palestinian enclave.
While the decision was welcomed abroad as a step in the right direction, airdrops are only able to deliver a small fraction of what can enter Gaza by land, and pose safety risks for civilians due to the possibility of being hit by packages from above.
The IDF said aircraft from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Germany, the Netherlands, and — for the first time — Greece and Italy, had airdropped 106 pallets of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
Each pallet contains around one ton of food.
Since July 26, when Israel allowed airdrops to begin anew, over 1,000 humanitarian aid packages have been airdropped in the Gaza Strip by 12 countries, including Israel, according to the military. The packages the IDF airdropped were supplied by international aid groups.
The deputy commander, Murad Abu Jarad, served as the de facto commander of the Beit Hanoun Battalion during most of 2024, the military says, adding that he was involved in numerous attacks on troops and that he participated in the October 7, 2023, onslaught.
In a separate operation, the military says it killed the head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s anti-tank missile unit in the terror group’s Gaza City brigade, Mohammed Dardawasi, who also participated in the October 7 onslaught.
In another strike, the IDF says it killed several Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives who were involved in rocket fire and sniper attacks.
It says that the launcher had been primed to fire several more rockets at Israel before it was destroyed.
Elsewhere in Gaza, the IDF says troops of the 36th Division are continuing to operate in Khan Younis, in the south of the enclave, where they “destroyed underground infrastructure and eliminated terror cells that posed a threat to the forces.”
Additional forces in southern Gaza located and destroyed several tunnel shafts in the past 24 hours, the IDF adds.
At the same time, it says the 282nd Artillery Regiment destroyed a weapons depot, and the 990th Reserve Artillery Regiment hit buildings that posed a threat to troops in the Shejaiya and Zeitoun neighborhoods of Gaza City.

[Rudaw] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northeast Syria said they "successfully thwarted an attack" on their force in Deir ez-Zor province on Friday.
"Our forces successfully thwarted an attack on one of our positions in al-Jazrat, Deir Ezzor's countryside. An gang attempted to infiltrate via the Euphrates and fired an RPG. Our forces responded immediately - festivities broke out briefly before the attackers fled," the SDF said in a statement, adding "no casualties reported among our forces."
The SDF did not identify the group that carried out the attack.
The US-backed force has been engaged in a series of festivities this month with both Damascus-aligned forces and the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) in separate events.
On Wednesday, two SDF members were killed in an ISIS attack in Deir ez-Zor province.
On Monday, the SDF accused factions affiliated with Damascus of launching an attack on their positions in Syria’s northern Aleppo province. A day earlier, the SDF and Damascus traded blame for an assault in the city of Manbij, also in the north of the country.
The flare-up between the SDF and Damascus is straining an integration deal signed in March by Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa and SDF commander Mazloum Abdi. The agreement aims to fold the SDF into the Syrian state military structure, recognize the Kurds as an integral part of Syria, implement a nationwide ceasefire, and enable the return of displaced Syrians to their hometowns.
Talks on implementing the agreement have stalled for several reasons, including the SDF insisting on integrating into the Syrian army as a unit while Damascus wants them to do so as individuals.
