Former sheriff who defied the Biden team faces 10 years in jail over trumped-up 'corruption' charges
[LawEnforcementToday] Sheriff Jenkins is a constitutionalist who has put his career and his liberty on the line by unabashedly supporting the Second Amendment. As payback, Jenkins was apparently targeted by the Biden administration and is now facing 10 years in prison for what can only be described as a government-orchestrated hit job, something President Trump is intimately familiar with.

For background, Sheriff Chuck Jenkins was a committed and outspoken 287g sheriff, meaning he had dedicated his agency to assisting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with illegal aliens. That no doubt caught the attention of the Department of Justice, which was run at the time by radical Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The ATF and other DC-Swamp/Biden resources were used, like they were used against several other Sheriff Departments that did not follow the Biden Regime Agenda.

Anti-Trump ‘Resistance' Leader's Campaign Bankrolled By Dem Power Broker Tied To Chinese Intel Agency
[DailyCaller] Boston Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu’s 2021 campaign received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a fundraiser who is listed by a Chinese intelligence agency as an official, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered.

Gary Yu, the founder of Boston International Media Consulting, helped raise over $300,000 for Wu with the help of a Chinese civic association he leads. However, Yu — whose Chinese name is Yu Guoliang — is listed as an official by an agency of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence and intelligence service called the United Front Work Department (UFWD), and also operates as a recruiter for the Chinese government, according to reports from the CCP, Chinese state media and civic associations led by Yu.

"The Communist Party’s UFWD never rests," author and China expert Gordon Chang told the DCNF. "There is no ethnic Chinese official in America who is not targeted. It’s time for law enforcement to investigate the CCP’s ties to Gary Yu and Yu’s ties to Mayor Michelle Wu."

Wu has risen to national prominence as a central figure in the Democratic resistance to Trump’s border and deportation policies. Wu recently defended her city’s refusal to cooperate with immigration officials during her March 19, 2025 "State of the City" address, during which she criticized "presidents who think they are kings," prompting the White House to fire back the next day with a press release labeling Wu a "radical mayor" who "puts violent criminal illegal aliens first."

"Wu’s ultra-leftism makes her the perfect candidate for CCP recruitment and capture," Chang said. "Or do we have it backward? Is her ultra-leftism the result of CCP recruitment and capture? More than just the people of Boston would like to know."

Wu’s office, Yu, and Boston International Media Consulting did not respond to multiple requests for comment. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Pentagon, Energy Dept. Nuclear Research Projects Tapped Sanctioned Chinese Communist Party Supercomputers)

’OVERSEAS CHINESE’
Yu has repeatedly met with high-ranking CCP intelligence leaders in China and is listed as an official by two regional branches of a UFWD arm, according to Chinese government announcements, state media reports and records from Chinese civic associations led by Yu.

The UFWD’s operations are a "unique blend of engagement, influence activities, and intelligence operations that the [CCP] uses to shape its political environment, including to influence other countries’ policy toward the [People’s Republic of China] and to gain access to advanced foreign technology," according to the House Select Committee on the CCP.

Yu is identified as an "overseas committee member" by the Hangzhou municipal All-China Federation Of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC) branch in Zhejiang province and has met with their officials in China multiple times, according to the website of the North American Hangzhou Association (NAHAUS), where Yu serves as chairman.

ACFROC is a UFWD agency specializing in overseas influence operations, including allegedly directing Chinese community leaders to illegally establish a secret Chinese police station in New York City.

"China’s strategy to influence state and local policymakers is executed, in part, through hundreds of ostensibly ’civil society’ organizations that are actually affiliated with the CCP’s UFWD," Michael Lucci, CEO of State Armor, a nonprofit focused on countering the CCP, told the DCNF. "Xi Jinping considers United Front work a critical tool to undermine democracies. It involves influence peddling, intelligence collection, and intellectual property theft, all for the end goal of aligning U.S. subnational governments with China’s foreign policy and exploiting weaknesses they find."

NAHAUS’s website details one meeting in China between Yu and the Hangzhou ACFROC Communist Party secretary on Nov. 29, 2018. During the meeting, Yu said NAHAUS would "work tirelessly to support the construction of Hangzhou and continue to serve the function of uniting and leading overseas Chinese," according to a Chinese social media post that includes a photo of Yu alongside the ACFROC Party secretary.

Yu is likewise listed as an "overseas committee member" by the Zhejiang ACFROC branch, and he also met with officials from that group in China in November 2018, according to NAHAUS’ website. In March 2023, Yu participated in a Zhejiang ACFROC overseas advisory committee webinar, according to Zhejiang ACFROC. During the webinar, Yu and other ACFROC officials discussed matters such as building overseas coalitions.

’TALENT RECRUITMENT’
Yu also agreed to headhunt U.S. talent for at least half a dozen Chinese regional governments, including the cities of Hangzhou and Guangzhou, according to Chinese government and ACFROC announcements.

For instance, in November 2019, the CCP announced that Yu agreed to establish an "Overseas Talent Recruitment Work Station" in North America for the party’s Organization Department in Nanning, a city located in the Guangxi Autonomous Region.

The Organization Department oversees China’s malign talent recruitment programs, like the Thousand Talents Plan, which incentivizes participants to "return to China to augment its scientific and military capabilities," according to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

Yu has also agreed to help recruit U.S. talent to support China’s high-tech development, including in the field of artificial intelligence.

Guangxi’s ACFROC branch recently announced that Yu had met with its officials on March 27, 2025. During that meeting, Yu promised to continue introducing "top-quality resources to Guangxi" after the ACFROC chairwoman told him the region’s artificial intelligence industry urgently required "overseas high-level talents."

A November 2018 article by the Chinese media outlet Sohu reported Yu had previously headhunted for the Chengdu government’s High-Tech Zone and Tianfu Software Park, which are home to multiple Chinese military companies sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Defense, including Chengdu JOUAV Automation Tech Co., Chengdu M&S Electronics Technology Co., Tencent, and Huawei.

’UNLIMITED POWER’
Meanwhile, Yu has organized the Chinese American community in Massachusetts to canvas and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to elect Democratic lawmakers like Wu.

Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF) records show Yu has personally donated $45,515 to various Massachusetts Democratic politicians since 2018, including $3,200 to Wu and $2,175 to Gov. Maura Healey.

Among other leadership roles, Yu also serves as the co-chair of the New England Chinese American Alliance (NECAA), which has "actively engaged the Chinese community in political campaigns," according to the nonprofit’s website. Toward that end, NECAA has hosted "fundraising events" for at least nine Massachusetts politicians including Wu and Healey.

NECAA’s website claims it "raised over $300,000 from the Chinese American community for Michelle Wu," and Yu’s Twitter advertised fundraising events for the future mayor in November 2020 and June 2021.

"We organized so many fundraisers and translated campaign materials into Chinese for more Chinese residents to read," Yu said about his work for Wu, according to a November 2021 Boston University News Service (BUNS) report. "We did street canvassing every week. We had unlimited power for supporting her in the past year."

By September 2021, NECAA had "expanded the fundraising scope from the Greater Boston area to more than 30 states across the country," BUNS reported.

"Public officials need to thoroughly vet any organization and individual that has ties to China’s government, and interface with state and federal law enforcement when there is any uncertainty," Lucci told the DCNF. "It is well-known that China’s government seeks to influence U.S. politics and place agents within our governance systems to further the CCP’s agenda. We need to stop letting them get away with it."

Yu also donated $3,000 to Massachusetts State Auditor Diana DiZoglio, OCPF records show.

DiZoglio added Yu to her "policies and priorities" transition team after winning her race for state auditor in June 2021, and later appointed him to serve as a commissioner on the state’s Asian American and Pacific Islanders Commission (AAPIC) in January 2024.

Yu now serves as vice chair of AAPIC, which describes itself as "the Commonwealth’s only permanent, statewide body dedicated to addressing the needs and challenges of the AAPI community."

AAPIC’s chairman, Saatvik Ahluwalia, told the DCNF by email the organization was completely "unaware" of any activity between Yu and ACFROC.

"[T]his is the first time we have heard of ACFROC, and we’ve had no contact, affiliation, or engagement with either the organization or the Chinese Government," Ahluwalia said. "We absolutely intend to investigate what you outlined in your questions, including talking directly to Mr. Yu."

NECAA, Healey, and DiZoglio did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Government Corruption
Trump White House to PBS & NPR: ''You're Cut Off!''—Slashes $1.1B, Cites Big Time Bias — Twitchy
[TWITCHY] It appears President Trump is ready to follow through with pulling funds from public broadcasting. It's about time. It's become a cesspool of Leftist dorks.

WASHINGTON — The White House has begun to notify Congress of its request to eliminate ''all'' public broadcasting funding and codify foreign aid cuts identified by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, The Post has learned.

Major proposed clawbacks in the so-called ''rescissions'' plan include $1.1 billion appropriated for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which provides funds to PBS and National Public Radio, and $8.3 billion from USAID.

A memo drafted by White House budget director Russ Vought — and requested by GOP congressional leaders — accuses CPB of a ''lengthy history of anti-conservative bias'' and cites ''waste, fraud, and abuse'' at USAID.

Formal transmission of the plan to lawmakers will start a 45-day clock for the Republican-held House and Senate to either adopt or reject the blueprint, which the White House believes will pass — unlike President Trump's 2018 rescission plan, which failed by one vote in the Senate.

Here''s Why Maine's Governor Threw a Hissy Fit Over Donald Trump
[TOWNHALL] On Monday, Maine Governor Janet Mills lashed out at President Donald Trump
...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party...
for freezing funding for education in the state after state officials asserted they would not comply with federal Title IX policies barring men from women's sports.

To recap, Townhall previously covered how President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning so-called ''transgender women'' from women's sports. Despite this, Maine openly defied this order. Trump confronted Mills about this to her face, telling her that she'll lose funding if her state doesn't comply with the order.

Trump kept his word, pausing all education funding to the state last week.

In an interview with MSNBC, Mills said that Trump's decision was ''not rational.''

''I support Title IX. I have spent my career, the better part of my career, defending and protecting the rights of women and girls—and I'm appalled at his [Trump's] interpretation that he can just reinvent the law,'' Mills said, not mentioning the fact that the Biden administration initially ''reinterpreted'' Title IX to allow the basis of sex to include the concept of ''gender identity.''

'Mississippi Musk': State auditor's MOGE report finds $400M in government waste
[FoxNews] 'I promise you, your state governments around the country are likely even less efficient' than federal government, state auditor tells Fox News Digital

On Monday, Mississippi state auditor Shad White will release a compilation of audits conducted by his office that tabulated a collective $400 million in waste over the course of his tenure.

"In the last few weeks, we’ve jokingly started calling ourselves MOGE, the Mississippi Office of Government Efficiency, like Elon Musk’s DOGE," White told Fox News Digital, referring to Musk's Department of Government Efficiency under the Trump administration.

"We approach our work with the same attention to every penny as DOGE, and I’m happy to be Mississippi’s Musk," White said.

While the auditor’s office cannot cut any of the wasteful spending, it alerts state lawmakers to what it discovers.

"We've been working on this project really for the last couple of years. And what's encouraging right now is that President Trump and Elon Musk are doing DOGE, which has raised public awareness about the amount of fraud, waste and abuse in government," White said in his exclusive interview.

"So, people are starting to look closely at what we've uncovered. In our time in the state auditor's office, my team and I have uncovered about $400 million worth of waste."

That figure will be broken down in an 800-page report, which White will make public later Monday.

He said that Medicaid is a major issue, in that tens of millions of dollars in subsidies are going to income-ineligible Mississippians.

One state agency was spending nearly $6,000 each on televisions, which the similarly bloated feds pay about $2,000 for similar tech, he said.

"So, if you think the federal government is inefficient, I promise you, your state governments around the country are likely even less efficient," he said.
"We lose money on every transaction we do, but make up for it in volume"
Asked about slashing wasteful spending in DEI and elsewhere, White said that even in a red state like the Magnolia State, there is a lot to be discovered and trimmed down.

"[W]hen you dig into what they're doing with all of this staff time and all of these resources, they were doing things like holding microaggression training sessions for engineers — I don't know why we need to do that. They were handing out grants for social justice yoga for preschoolers. Just crazy stuff," he said, as $11 million in taxpayer funding has gone to DEI at colleges alone.

In the Magnolia State, 20% of people live below the poverty line, so efficient spending of federal and other public funds is paramount, White said.

Millions of misspent dollars came from welfare appropriations, including approved community gardens that were never built, or nonprofits who pledged to use funding to help the poor but instead padded executive salaries.

"We found dollars supposed to be going to poor folks going to pay for sponsorship of beauty pageants," he added.

"Really, I think the big-picture point here is, this kind of waste happens at every level of government. And now that DOJ is taking the lead and showing the country how much fraud, waste and abuse there is, it's really incumbent on every single state government to take a look at their own house and make sure that that fraud, waste, and abuse isn't happening in state government, too."

State auditor roles vary statutorily from state-to-state.

When asked whether White has worked with neighboring officials or if other Deep South states have collaborated on regional DOGE-type initiatives, White said that some states like Alabama have auditor roles with more limited statutory powers than his in Jackson.

But he said that Oklahoma auditor Cindy Byrd is working on a similar endeavor to uncover government waste in the Sooner State.

"We [state auditors] are in conversation with one another — and whether it's your state auditor or a key state legislator or the governor, really, every state needs to be starting a DOGE."

Nancy Pelosi adamantly refusing to step down — embodying the problem with Democratic leadership: sources
[NYPOST] Nancy Pelosi is adamant she won't release her grip on the Democratic Party despite their resounding defeat in 2024 and a growing chorus urging her to step down, sources tell The Post.

Ex-President Joe Biden named Pelosi one of the chief architects of the move to push him aside for Kamala Harris to run at short notice, and she was instrumental in the disastrous $1 billion campaign which followed — leading the party to lose the White House, Senate and House of Representatives.

Younger members of the party and even current House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries believe it's time for a refresh and new leadership, according to sources, but Pelosi insists on business as usual.

''As long as Nancy takes a breath, she is going to do what she wants to do,'' said Willie Brown, a former mayor of San Francisco who once regularly porked dated former Vice President Harris.

Blue state [CA] ‘prioritizing the criminals' with $239M taxpayer-funded prison project, prosecutor says
[FoxNews] California officials say project will be complete by early 2026

A prosecutor in California blasted the state's $239 million taxpayer-funded project to build a prison rehabilitation center in the Bay Area, arguing that it's another example of politicians putting criminals ahead of law-abiding citizens.
I've expressed my opinion on the subject before,
Construction is ongoing at the San Quentin State Prison, where construction crews are building a Norway-style rehabilitation center with luxury amenities such as a grocery store, library, café, farmer's market and more. $360 million was initially allocated for the project, but the final cost to build the rehabilitation center is estimated to cost taxpayers around $239 million, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said Building 38 at San Quentin State Prison was demolished to make room for the rehabilitation center. The state agency said the rehab center is part of the "California Model," which is a "holistic initiative that leverages international, data-backed best practices to improve the well-being of those who live and work at state prisons."

A construction plan for the project shows that the new San Quentin Rehabilitation Center will feature an education and vocational center, along with other amenities like a media center, library, grocery store, café and a learning center. An initial plan for the rehabilitation center states that the on-site farmer's market will ideally be run by local producers.

The plan states that the concept for the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center "embodies a humane campus atmosphere" that promotes "growth and self-empowerment, while guaranteeing safety and security."

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the project in May 2023 and said the new rehabilitation center will "make all of us safer."

"California is transforming San Quentin – our state’s most notorious prison – into the nation’s most innovative rehabilitation facility focused on building a brighter and safer future. We are literally tearing down walls to reimagine our prison system, incentivize true rehabilitation, and end cycles of violence and crime," Newsom said.

Construction on the rehabilitation center is estimated to be completed by early 2026.
