[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Navy destroyer ship has been deployed to the southern border in an effort to bolster national security, amid President Trump's plan to 'reclaim the Panama Canal.'
The USS Gravely recently spent nine months in the thick of conflict in the Middle East, fighting off continuous assaults from Houthi rebels in the Red Sea.
But now the 509ft guided-missile destroyer is en route to the US southern border as President Trump ramps up security to fight what he describes as an 'invasion' of American territory and rampant drug cartels.
The ship, which carries dozens of Tomahawk cruise missiles, will be stationed in waters typically patrolled by the US Coast Guard. It will also operate in international waters.
According to US Northern Command General Gregory Guillot, the Gravely will help 'to protect the United States territorial integrity, sovereignty and security.'
The deployment will contribute to 'a coordinated and robust response to combating maritime related terrorism, weapons proliferation, transnational crime, piracy, environmental destruction, and illegal seaborne immigration,' Defense officials added.
Trump campaigned on a mass deportation policy and set to work cracking down on illegal immigration as soon as he returned to the White House.
He vowed to send an additional 10,000 troops to the border with Mexico to bolster security measures and reinstate his remain in Mexico policy, which requires migrants who are seeking asylum in the US to wait for their court date in the country from which they crossed.
USS Gravely left the Naval Weapons Station in Virginia on Saturday.
While few details have been made about Gravely's next mission, authorities made it clear that it was in response to Trump's executive order to secure the borders.
Upon returning to the White House, Trump declared a national emergency at the border with Mexico.
The Gravely will house a squad of US Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment - elite operators who specialize in maritime missions like fighting piracy and intercepting drug trafficking rings.
Just 13 months ago, warplanes and missiles were launched from Gravely on Houthi targets in Yemen amid the ongoing conflict in the Red Sea.
That particular mission was a high-stakes attack in response to the deaths of three US troops in Jordan.
The Houthi targets were in 13 different locations and were struck by US F/A-18 fighter jets from the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier, by British Typhoon FGR4 fighter aircraft and by the Navy destroyers USS Gravely and the USS Carney firing Tomahawk missiles from the Red Sea, according to US officials and the UK Defense Ministry.
The Defense Department said the strikes targeted sites associated with the Houthis' deeply buried weapons storage facilities, missile systems and launchers, air defense systems, radars and helicopters.
Gravely was in the region for nine months and shot down missiles and drones from Houthi rebels.
Trump's latest move comes after he allegedly ordered the US military to draw up plans to seize the Panama Canal in his bid to 'reclaim' the waterway.
The US Southern Command has developed an array of potential plans to ensure the America has full access to the Panama Canal, two military sources confirmed to Reuters.
Trump has asserted that the US needs to take back the canal because China controls it and could use the waterway to undermine American interests.
In his inaugural speech in January, Trump repeated accusations that Panama has broken the promises it made for the final transfer of the canal in 1999.

"Destroyer with Guided Missiles"
Uhh..., They all are.
73 Burkes, all have missiles. 2 Zumwalts, ditto.
(Strangely, the Tico class missile cruisers were commisioned as destroyers to begin with. They're stretched Spruance destoyers.)

The crew spent 9 months out of homeport and are now being sent some where else. They are away from their homes and families during these times. When I was on subs, a very high ranking Doctor explained that after upkeep, 90% of the crew would be married. After two patrols, only 10% would still be married. That’s why I left after 10 years of sailing. Don’t let your kids grow up to be sailors.

I'm no expert but, from what I've seen in San Diego Bay, they don't carry much in the way of guns anymore and they keep the missiles out of sight.

The inclusion of the USCG LEDet is an important point. US Navy vessels have no domestic LE enforcement powers pe se, but the USCG does. In an interesting procedure, the Captain of the destroyer places his ship under the USCG LEDet Command, and gains the ability to operate legally in enforcement matters while under their "command".
[NYPOST] US Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s ''took out'' multiple leaders of the Iran-backed Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... rebel group on Saturday, White House National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said.
The strikes, which are expected to continue as part of the US military's largest operation so far under President Trump's second term, are meant to serve as a direct warning to Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. ''These were not kind of pinprick, back and forth — what ultimately proved to be feckless attacks,'' Waltz told ABC's ''This Week'' on Sunday morning — a swipe at previous strikes by the Biden administration.
''This was an overwhelming response that actually targeted multiple Houthi leaders and took them out,'' he added. ''And the difference here is: one, going after the Houthi leadership, and two, holding Iran responsible.''
Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the large-scale military bombardment across Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... on Saturday using the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier group.

A senior defense official told Fox News of the developments on Sunday.
The drones were aimed at the US Navy's Truman Carrier Strike Group, and were shot down ''well before'' they posed a serious threat, the official added.
The latest military action came after nearly a year and a half of attacks from Houthis, both on commercial merchant vessels and US military ships.
In a Truth Social post on Saturday, Trump wrote that he had ''ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen.''
''It has been over a year since a US-flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden,'' Trump continued. ''The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times.''
Death toll from US strikes on Yemen rises to 53
March 17, 2025
[HodhodYemenNews] The death toll from the US aggression on the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, and other Yemeni provinces has risen to 53 martyrs, the Health Ministry in Sana’a said.
The number of injured has risen to 98, including nine children and nine women, the ministry said.
The Ministry reiterated its condemnation of the US aggression and its targeting of civilian structures in Sana’a and several provinces, describing the attack on civilians and civilian infrastructure as war crimes, further adding to the US’s criminal record.
The aggression came a few days after the Yemeni Armed Forces resumed their maritime operation against Israeli-linked ships in the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea over the Tel Aviv regime’s blockade on Gaza.
Iran-backed Houthis claim second attack on US ships in 24 hours
March 17, 2025 4:41 a.m. Israel Time
[IsraelTimes] Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels claim responsibility for a second attack on an American aircraft carrier group in 24 hours, calling it retaliation for US strikes.
A spokesperson for the group says that “for the second time in 24 hours,” Houthi fighters launched missiles and drones at the USS Harry S. Truman and several of its warships in the northern Red Sea.
The statement also vows to keep targeting Israeli vessels until the “siege” on Gaza is lifted.
According to the statement, the airstrikes targeted several areas in the provinces of Sanaa, Saada, al-Bayda, Hajjah, Dhamar, Marib, and al-Jawf.
The front man of Yemen’s armed forces, Yahya Sare’e, stated that the attacks resulted in numerous casualties, with dozens killed and injured in an initial toll, accusing the US of committing massacres against Yemeni civilians.
In response, the Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed they had targeted the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and its accompanying warships in the northern Red Sea.
The attack involved 18 ballistic and cruise missiles, along with drones.
He stressed that the Yemeni armed forces will not hesitate to target all American warships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea in response to the aggression against our country.
"The armed forces will continue to impose the naval siege on the "Israeli" enemy and enforce restrictions on its ships in the designated operation zone until humanitarian aid and essential supplies enter the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip," he underlined
The Yemeni military spokesperson reiterated that this American aggression will only increase dear Yemen and its steadfast, faithful, and fighting people in firmness, faith, and steadfastness.
Earlier Sunday from Hodhod Yemen News:
31 Yemeni civilians killed in US-British airstrikes across Yemen
The Ministry of Health announced that the death toll of the American-British aggression on civilians in the capital, Sana’a, and the provinces of Saada and Al-Bayda has risen to 132 martyrs and injured, most of whom are women and children.
In a statement, the ministry clarified that 31 civilians were martyred and 101 others were injured, most of them women and children, in an initial toll of the American aggression’s airstrikes.
He says there is no talk of US ground raids in Yemen, adding: “I don’t think there’s a necessity for it right now.”
Rubio also says that there is “no way” the Houthis would have the ability to attack global shipping without support from Iran.

Houthis Attack US Aircraft Carrier USS Harry Truman With Drones, Missiles
[Regnum] On the night of March 16, the US Air Force carried out 47 strikes on Yemen, in particular on the country's capital Sana'a. Houthi Health Ministry spokesman Anis al-Asbahi reported that the US strikes left more than 30 dead and more than 100 people injured.
“American F-16 and F-18 fighter jets shot down a total of 11 drones launched by Yemen’s Houthis on March 16… The drones did not come close to the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman, which played a key role in U.S. President Donald Trump’s strikes in Yemen,” the authors wrote.
US military strikes Galaxy Leader vessel seized by Houthis
[Regnum] US fighter jets carried out airstrikes on the Galaxy Leader ship captured by the Ansar Allah (Houthis) movement in 2023. This was reported by the Yemeni Al-Masirah TV channel.
The Bahamian-flagged cargo ship was hijacked by the Houthis in November 2023 while en route from Turkey to India. The Houthis believe that the real owner of the ship is Abraham Ungar, a major Israeli businessman. According to the channel, two raids were aimed at the captain's cabin of an Israeli ship near the coast of Hodeida.
As reported by Regnum news agency, from November 19 to January 18, the Houthis carried out at least 31 attacks on civilian vessels in the Red Sea using anti-ship ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. More from Regnum:
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on March 15, American troops launched a large-scale operation against the Houthis. The US Armed Forces struck targets of the Ansar Allah movement in western Yemen. The outskirts of the city of Dhamar in the province of the same name were shelled. In addition, strikes were carried out on targets in the Ans district.
According to a US official speaking on condition of anonymity, the Houthis did fire drones and at least one missile in its first claimed attack. The official said that beginning at about midnight Saturday-Sunday local time in Yemen, the Houthis fired 11 drones and at least one missile over about 12 hours. Ten of the drones were intercepted by US Air Force fighter jets and one was intercepted by a Navy F/A-18 fighter jet. The missile fell into the water far from the ship, and nothing came close to hitting either the carrier or the warships in its strike group.
Washington has vowed to keep striking Yemen until the rebels stop attacking Red Sea shipping, with US President Donald Trump warning he will use “overwhelming lethal force.”
Houthi media reported more explosions on Sunday night, accusing the Americans of targeting a cotton ginning factory in the western region of Hodeida as well as the command cabin of the Galaxy Leader, an Israel-linked ship captured in November 2023. The Bahamas-flagged, Japanese-operated Galaxy Leader is owned by a British company, which in turn is partially owned by Israeli tycoon Abraham “Rami” Ungar. The Houthis freed its crew in January 2025.

[NYPOST] An ''extermination'' site where human remains and ovens have been found is being probed by police in Mexico, leaving families searching for missing loved ones bracing for the worst.
Mexican officials flocked to the Izaguirre Ranch in the western state of Jalisco last week after volunteers flagged the findings at the site, operated by the New Generation Jalisco Cartel.
Past the estate's iron gates, officials found cremation ovens, bone fragments, hundreds of pairs of shoes, clothing, and even children's toys, raising fears that the cartel group might have carried out mass killings at the ranch.
Officials have found around 700 personal items at the site, but it remains unclear how many bodies were cremated there.
Police said they have found nearly 100 shell casings so far.
''The number of the victims that presumably could have been buried there is enormous,'' Eduardo Guerrero, a security analyst in Mexico City, told The New York Times
...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... . ''And it resurfaced the nightmarish reminder that Mexico is plagued with mass graves.''

Dark Stuff
CJNG is the worst of the cartels. Their power base is no joke, they control the Jalisco Region of MX, home to Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara - the area has a booming economy with manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism (beach capital). Violence and death is CJNG 's calling card. This death field is not a surprise. CJNG is the leading cause of political violence in MX. Everything they are involved in is usually not very pleasant. Jalisco is one of the two major players in the fentanyl trade. They also have ties to Venezuala/Colombia's ELN. Brookings and other thinktanks have also mapped their ties with Chinese Triads which are the source for CJNG's Fentanyl Precursors.
I would support military action against CJNG. Just not a blanket Cartel War.
[IsraelTimes] Advisory committee affirms May 2024 decision by UvA President Verbeek, who negotiated with masked rioters that demanded school divest from Israeli institutions
The University of Amsterdam has come under heavy criticism for its decision Thursday to end bilateral relations with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Following the university’s announcement, Dutch politicians have accused the board of the UvA of giving in to the demands of the violent mostly peaceful anti-Israel protesters who brought the campus to a standstill in May 2024.
On Thursday, the board of UvA put out a statement in which it announced it would follow the recommendations of an advisory commission on collaboration with foreign universities. Three projects with partners in Israel, China and Hungary will not be continued or renewed in their current form, the university said.
UvA will end its current relationship with the Hebrew University, and future renewed cooperation will only take place after a positive recommendation from the same advisory commission. In the case of China, however, UvA "has no objections to continuing cooperation, but advises risk-mitigating measures."
Critics of the UvA decision were quick to point out that China, with its abysmal human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... record, is treated with more leniency than Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. According to human rights organizations, the Chinese government has incarcerated up to a million members of its Moslem minority — known as Uyghurs — in labor and reeducation camps.
"The University of Amsterdam collaborates with no fewer than six Chinese universities, apparently unbothered by China’s concentration camps for the Uyghur population," Annabel Nanninga, a senator in the First Chamber of the Dutch parliament for the pro-Israel, right-wing JA21-party, told The Times of Israel on Friday.
Nanninga has joined a chorus of politicians to accuse the University of Amsterdam of giving into the demands of violent mostly peaceful protesters who, in May 2024, occupied and vandalized campus buildings on Roeterseiland and at the Binnengasthuisterrein in the center of the Dutch capital.
During the riots, a mob of masked protesters blocked entrances and emergency exits and caused serious damage to one building. Protesters, atop makeshift barriers of desks, bricks and wooden pallets, used fire extinguishers to push back the police, as viewed by The Times of Israel.
Since the Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... massacre of 1,200 people in southern Israel and the 251 hostages taken to Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... on October 7, 2023, pro-Paleostinian protesters have fought pitched battles with riot police on campus and were responsible for over 4 million euros ($4.4 million) in damage. One of the rioters’ demands was the breaking off of cooperation with Israeli universities.
At the height of the violent mostly peaceful campus protests, UvA President Peter-Paul Verbeek came under fire from pro-Israel political parties and his staff and students for exposing his university’s relationship with Israeli universities. During the protests, Verbeek negotiated in English with masked activists whose identity remains unknown and of whom it is not known if they are actual UvA students.
Verbeek also immediately halted cooperation with the Hebrew University, which had existed since the 1980s, while awaiting recommendations from the advisory commission.
’CHILLING ECHOES’
Senator Nanninga called Verbeek’s decision to halt cooperation "a chilling echo of a dark past" and "a dangerous precedent."
"What if the rioters demand the burning of books by Israeli or Jewish authors in the schoolyard? Will UvA follow those orders too?" she asked.
Pointing out that UvA is a publicly funded university, Nanninga stated her intention to ask Education Minister Eppo Bruins about financial consequences for "educational institutions that cannot or will not guarantee the safety and dignity of Jews and Israelis" during the upcoming budget debate.
So far, the center-right government in The Hague has refused to take significant steps to curb growing antisemitism on Dutch campuses, despite many reports of rising fear among Jewish students and their pro-Israel allies since October 7, 2023.
Last week, Syrian-born pro-Israeli activist Rawan Osman had to be protected by private security personnel from physical attack by masked pro-Paleostinian demonstrators as she gave lectures at the universities of Nijmegen and Maastricht. Osman announced that she would press charges against Harry Pettit, a University of Nijmegen faculty member whom she accused of leading a violent mostly peaceful protest against her.
Alexandra van Duffelen, president of the board at Nijmegen University and former politician for the anti-Israel center-left party D66, has been under fire for not removing Pettit, who has defended violence in support of the Paleostinian cause both in Israel and on Dutch university campuses.
The Jewish student organization IJAR called on the board of the University of Maastricht to come up with extra security measures ahead of the annual "Israel Apartheid Week," which starts on March 21.
IJAR has stated that, as in the case of the violent mostly peaceful protest against Osman, failure to act against protesters "has undermined academic freedom and open debate, and has affected the basic rights of our community, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly," IJAR wrote in a statement.
"Education in the Netherlands stands at a distance from politics, which is often a good thing," said Claire Martens, a member of the Dutch Second Chamber or lower house of parliament for the center-right VVD-party. "But in cases like these, when there is structural insecurity and selective treatment of Jewish and or Israeli students and staff, it’s enormously frustrating."
Martens agreed with Nanninga that it now appears that "violence and intimidation pay off."
"Stories about the lack of safety and double standards toward a group of Jewish and Israeli students are heartbreaking. Pushing off responsibility by university management or the Minister of Education is no longer an option." Martens said, adding that she will ask questions in parliament this week.
On Friday, Jewish former foreign minister Uri Rosenthal announced that he was symbolically sending back his cum laude diploma to the university.
"The cowardly board members can give it to one of their Samidoun [Paleostinian Prisoner Solidarity Network] students for services rendered," Rosenthal, who currently chairs the Free Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. Ronny Naftaniel, the founder of the Center for Information and Documentation on Israel (CIDI) and another alumnus of the University of Amsterdam, said he would follow Rosenthal’s example by sending back his cum laude diploma in economics. Dozens of University of Amsterdam alumni vowed on X to join Rosenthal and Naftaniel.
The Dutch Friends of Hebrew University (NVHU), led by human rights activist and former politician Boris Dittrich, said it was "flabbergasted" by the decision of the University of Amsterdam to end student exchanges with Hebrew University. "HU more than anyone makes great efforts toward diversity, inclusion and cooperation between Israeli and Paleostinian students," NVHU wrote in a statement.
"To achieve this, Hebrew University has set up many programs, led by Paleostinian Professor Mona Khoury, vice president of Strategy and Diversity at Hebrew University. More than 16% of a student population of 24,000 is Paleostinian, of which half stems from East Jerusalem. Every year 500 youths from East Jerusalem get the opportunity to study free of charge," wrote NVHU.
"It would speak in favor of the University of Amsterdam if it chooses the path of dialogue, something HU has called for on many occasions. That might have lifted the academic level of an entirely polarized discussion to a higher level. That is after all what universities are here for."
It is currently unclear what will happen with UvA’s cooperation with two other Israeli universities, Tel Aviv University and Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Beersheba. Its exchange program with Israel seems to be dormant at the moment because of a negative travel advisory from the Dutch foreign ministry since the beginning of the war in Gaza in October 2023.
[GEO.TV] The Trump administration has deported over 200 Venezuela

It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeded places like Honduras and El Salvador. A significant proportion of the populace refugeed to Colombia and points south... ns from the United States to a sprawling prison in El Salvador, even as a federal judge ordered their return to the US, Rooters reported.
The White House said in a statement that it wasn't defying the court but at the same time argued that it was perfectly within its rights to ignore the judge's ruling.
"A single judge in a single city cannot direct the movements of an aircraft carrier full of foreign alien holy warriors who were physically expelled from US soil," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
A federal judge in Washington, DC, had earlier blocked President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... In a Saturday evening hearing, US District Judge James Boasberg blocked the use of the law for 14 days, saying the statute refers to "hostile acts" perpetrated by another country that are "commensurate to war."
During the hearing, Boasberg said that any flights carrying migrants colonists processed under the law should return to the US His written notice hit the case docket at 7:25 pm.

US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard lands in New Delhi. On the same day when there's an annual intelligence meeting being held in the Indian capital. And hours after an incident in Pakistan where Hafiz Saeed's nephew was assassinated and there are some rumors about Saeed himself as well.
[OneIndia] Close ally to Hafiz Saeed ...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Hafiz, JuD and LeT are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Pak intel apparatus, so that amounted to squat. He is periodically placed under house arrest so it looks like the govt is doing something. Once the heat is off they let him go.... and a wanted terrorist Abu Qatal
…that’s the nom de guerre of Faisal Nadeem, nephew of 11/26 attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed…
has been killed in Pakistain. According to the reports, Abu Qatal was criminal mastermind behind orchestrating terror operations against India, and was involved in the 2017 Reasi kaboom and the 2023 bus attack on pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... Qatal's liquidation took place in Pakistain when two person or persons unknown shot him while he was traveling in his vehicle. This event concludes years of tracking by Indian authorities. Due to his active role in planning terror attacks, Qatal had been on India's most-wanted list for a long time.
ROLE IN TERROR ACTIVITIES
Qatal played a significant role in several high-profile attacks, including the 2017 Reasi kaboom targeting civilians. He was also behind the deadly attack on a bus near Shiv Khori temple on June 9, 2023, which resulted in multiple casualties. These incidents highlighted his influence in terror activities across Jammu and Kashmir.
A trusted aide of Hafiz Saeed, Qatal held the position of chief operational commander for Lashkar-e-Taiba ...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...> (LeT). Under his leadership, LeT continued executing numerous terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir. His expertise included coordinating attacks, recruiting terrorists, and conducting cross-border infiltration operations.
INVOLVEMENT IN RAJOURI AND DANGRI ATTACKS
Beyond Reasi attacks, Qatal was directly linked to other deadly operations. In January 2023, he played a pivotal role in terror strikes at Rajouri and Dangri, targeting civilians including children. These attacks resulted in numerous casualties and left the region reeling with fear.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) included Qatal's name in its charge sheet for these attacks. On January 1, 2023, the Dangri village strike resulted in seven deaths, including two children. An IED blast followed this incident, causing serious injuries to others.
RECRUITMENT AND INFILTRATION OPERATIONS
NIA investigations revealed Qatal's direct involvement with LeT's recruitment and infiltration operations. He facilitated sending snuffies from Pakistain to Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on minority communities and security personnel as targets. His actions fueled ongoing violence and unrest in Kashmir.
Operating from Khureta launch pad in District Kotli of Pakistain-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), Qatal was the self-styled commander of an important Lashkar-e-Taiba camp. Under his direction, this camp became a key epicenter for LeT's activities in Rajouri-Poonch sector.
LEADERSHIP ROLE
Qatal played a crucial role orchestrating major attacks within Rajouri-Poonch area. His involvement was confirmed after Nisar's arrest from Surankote Poonch regarding Bhatia Durian attack targeting an army vehicle in April 2023.

[IsraelTimes] Uday Mobarsham. 24, said to have consumed Hamas, ISIS content online; suspect bought rifle, began training; Shin Bet says thwarted attack could have caused ‘dangerous escalation’
Israel police and Shin Bet agents foiled a plot by an Arab Israeli to carry out a shooting terror attack in the Old City of Jerusalem during the Moslem holy month of Ramadan, it was announced Sunday.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Uday Mobarsham, a resident of the village of Makr in the north, was detained in February after he purchased a homemade rifle and began training with it.
During his interrogation, he said he planned to open fire on coppers or Jewish Israelis near the Old City’s Damascus Gate.
The Haifa District Attorney’s Office filed an indictment against Mobarsham, charging him with security offenses. He is currently in detention.
Per the indictment, the would-be attacker underwent a religious revival in 2022, in which he became engrossed with Salafist ideology and started consuming Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... and ISIS-related content online.
Mobarsham began seriously considering carrying out a terror attack after the Hamas-led onslaught on October 7, 2023, expressing his desire to do so in writing. "Ramadan is coming, brother. The war is at the door," he apparently wrote to his friend in February 2024, a year prior to his arrest.
Before police arrested him on February 11, Mobarsham passed his gun along to his brother, Adham, telling him to hide it somewhere far from their family home.
Police found the gun in Adham’s possession and arrested him also. The main suspect apparently tried to recruit several others in his terror plot, whom police also detained for questioning.
Prosecutors charged Mobarsham’s brother with possessing an illegal weapon, a criminal offense, on Friday.
"Foiling this attack was significant, given that we assess that if his plan had been carried out during Ramadan it could have undermined the quiet and led to a dangerous escalation in the Jerusalem area during a period of high security tensions," a Shin Bet source said.
Police have kept Jerusalem’s Old City under tight watch during Ramadan, especially in light of tensions surrounding the Gazoo

The site is the holiest place in Judaism, where two biblical Temples once stood, and the al-Aqsa Mosque is the third-holiest shrine in Islam, making the site a perennial flashpoint of the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict.
Ahead of Ramadan in February, the Hamas terror group called on Paleostinian Moslems in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, as well as Arab Israelis, to travel to the Temple Mount in large numbers and oppose what it said were attempts by Israel to "desecrate and control" the site using "any means."
Another day, another bomb planted by Hamas in Gaza.
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it carried out a drone strike a short while ago against a terror operative who was identified as trying to plant bombs in the ground in the Netzarim Corridor area of central Gaza, close to where Israeli troops are operating.
In recent weeks, amid the ceasefire, the IDF says it has carried out numerous strikes against Hamas operatives attempting to plant bombs.
[IsraelTimes] During an anti-terrorism operation in the northern West Bank, soldiers from the Kfir Brigade discover a weapons cache in the Nur Shams refugee camp outside of Tulkarem, according to an IDF statement.
Several bags of weapons were discovered at the scene, one of which contained a vest labeled “UNRWA,” the IDF says.
Fascinating. D’you suppose they’re attached to Hamas here, dear Reader, or more generically the PLO, ie. whichever group(s) are willing to put up money and provide training and coordination for that particular project?
Israel has long said that terrorists were using the UN agency as cover for their activities.
According to the statement, the confiscated weapons were transferred for further investigation by security forces.
The IDF states that it will continue its operations to thwart terrorism throughout the West Bank to ensure the safety of Israeli citizens.
[IsraelTimes] The IDF confirms carrying out strikes in southern Lebanon earlier this evening, saying it targeted a Hezbollah command center and other buildings used by the terror group.
The command center belonged to Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force, according to the IDF.
“The presence of these terror infrastructure sites constitutes a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The IDF will not allow this kind of activity and will act against it,” the military says, adding that “the IDF will strike armed terrorists in southern Lebanon, and will operate in order to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”
Terror group denies involvement, and Lebanese source claims the soldiers crossed the border and were shot by local gunmen in village of Qasr; Syria said to fire missiles at town
Syria’s defense ministry on Sunday accused Leb ...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade.... ’s Hezbollah terror group of abducting three Syrian soldiers to Lebanon and killing them there, state media reported, as Hezbollah denied any involvement in festivities.
A dramatic choice. One would have thought Hezbollah had enough trouble being wiped out by the IDF, without adding another active enemy to their daily activities, but clearly one would be wrong.
"A group from the Hezbollah militia kidnapped three members of the Syrian army on the Syrian-Lebanese border before taking them to Lebanese territory and eliminating them," the news agency SANA quoted the defense ministry as saying.
"The defense ministry will take all the necessary measures after this dangerous escalation from the Hezbollah militia," it added, saying the incident had occurred near the Zeita Dam, west of Homs.
I think the only answer to this deadly insult is for Hayat Tahrir al Sham the new conquerers of Syria to send a large unit into Lebanon to punish those uppity Levantine Shiite heretics with their delusions of superiority, just because they were backed by the IRGC for the past forty-something years. They need to learn their place, and only Al Nusra can teach them properly.
Meanwhile,
...back at the comedy club, Boogie was cracking himself up, but nobody else seemed to be getting the non-stop jokes... Hezbollah in a statement denied any involvement in festivities with Syrian security forces or in Syrian territory. The Iran-backed jihadist group said it "categorically denies any connection to the events taking place today on the Lebanese-Syrian border."
”Wudn’t us — really and truly, we’d never!”
It added that it "reaffirms its previous announcements that Hezbollah has no relation to any events within Syrian territory."
Significant shrinkage, that. Only a few months ago they had a section based in Syria to support the Assad government and were busily setting up along the Israeli border, preparatory to causing trouble there. Ya just never know what the future brings whether you’re truly the beloved of Allah, y’know?
Lebanon’s state news agency NNA reported that rockets fired from Syrian territory had landed in the Lebanese village of Qasr near the border.
It’s a start, I suppose. But hopefully not the finish.
"A number of rockets, fired from the Qusayr countryside inside Syrian territory, fell on the border town of Qasr," it said, without providing further details.
A Lebanese security source told AFP that "tensions began after three Syrian general security personnel crossed into Lebanese territory at the village of Qasr, where they were shot at by local button men affiliated with a family involved in smuggling."
The source said the reason they entered was unknown.
Answering the question not yet asked. Oh well — hopefully an answer will be soon revealed.
After their death, "the button men handed over their bodies to the Lebanese army which in turn handed them over to the Syrian side."
NNA also reported that the bodies of three Syrian soldiers had been handed over to Syria via the Lebanese Red Thingy.
The source said "an escalation subsequently occurred by Syrian security forces, who shelled homes in Qasr."
Hezbollah was a key backer of Syria’s former president Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Horror of Homs... before he was toppled in a lightning offensive by Islamist-led rebels in December.
Under Assad, Syria became a staging ground for the smuggling of countless Iran-linked weapons to Hezbollah, which has fought several wars with Israel and lauched tens of thousands of rockets at the Jewish state over the years, including more than a year of war sparked when the Lebanese terror group attacked unprovoked on October 8, 2023, a day after its Paleostinian ally Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... launched its murderous October 7 onslaught near Gazoo

Iran’s beloved pincer movement once again failed. Maybe after five or ten more attempts, they’ll finally start plotting something else. By definition the fact that it keeps not working is proof that Allah does not want them to succeed.
Syria’s new authorities announced last month the launch of a security campaign in the border province of Homs, aimed at shutting down routes used for arms and goods smuggling.
They accused Hezbollah of launching attacks, saying it was sponsoring cross-border smuggling gangs.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Sunday reported on the killing of "three members of the Ali ibn Abi Talib Brigade, affiliated with the Syrian Ministry of Defense, in an ambush by gunmen believed to be members of smuggling gangs loyal to Hezbollah."
"A quarrel took place between members of Lebanese tribes and members of the Ali ibn Abi Talib Brigade, which ended with the stabbing of one of the tribesmen. Following this, the brigade members were lured into Lebanese territory and killed,” the UK-based war monitor reported.

[IsraelTimes] Defense Minister Israel Katz says he has instructed the IDF to respond to today’s gunfire from Lebanon that damaged a car in the border community of Avivim.
“The claim that it was an errant bullet from the funeral of a Hezbollah operative held in a nearby village is completely unacceptable,” Katz says.
He adds that Israel will “not allow a reality of shooting on the residents of the north for any reason, and we will respond to any violation of the ceasefire.”
