Advance Auto Parts to Close over 700 Stores by Mid-2025
[Breitbart] Advance Auto Parts will close more than 700 locations and four distribution centers by mid-2025 after sales decreased from 2023, company officials said Thursday.

The North Carolina-based auto parts company, which had 4,781 across North America as of October 5, announced in its third quarter report that 523 corporate stores and 204 independent locations are to be shut down.

The stores scheduled to be shuttered account for more than 15 percent of all Advance Auto Parts locations across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The company’s press release also highlighted “distribution network optimization,” as executives plan to close four distribution centers as well.

Net sales from continuing operations totaled $2.1 billion in the third quarter of FY 2024 — a $100 million decrease from the same quarter in FY 2023.

On November 1, the company sold its automotive parts wholesaler and distributor company Worldpac to global investment firm Carlyle for $1.5 billion.

“We are pleased to have made progress on our strategic actions, including the completion of the sale of Worldpac and a comprehensive operational productivity review of our business,” said Advance Auto Parts president and CEO Shane O’Kelly said in a statement Thursday. “We are charting a clear path forward and introducing a new three-year financial plan, with a focus on executing core retail fundamentals to improve the productivity of all our assets and to create shareholder value.”

Shocking cost of weekly groceries in every state with some Americans spending over $300
[Daily Mail, where Amierca gets its news] The number one issue in exit polls in the election was the economy, and now a map lays bare the burden inflation has put on families across the country.

Visual Capitalist, an online publication that produces data-driven content, used Census Bureau data to map the average amount households spend on a week's worth of groceries in every state.

On average, Americans pay $270 per week on groceries, which adds up to $1,080 per month.

Since August 2020, grocery prices have increased 20 percent, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This is the steepest inflation that the US has seen since the 1970s.

The COVID-19 pandemic, conflict in the Ukraine and other economy-wide inflationary pressures such as high energy costs have contributed to grocery price increases, according to the USDA.

States where people are paying the most for groceries include Hawaii, Alaska and California. In these states, households spend between $298 and $334 on average during their weekly trip to the market.

Even the those with the lowest weekly grocery bills - Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska - are still spending more than $200 per week, with the average cost ranging from $221 to $235.

Shipping is the primary reason for grocery bills skyrocketing in Alaska and Hawaii - two non-mainland states.

That is because the states do not produces enough food locally to offset import costs, according to Visual Capitalist.

On average, Alaskan households spend $334 per week at the grocery store, and Hawaiians spend $329 per week.

Alaska residents do get a break on taxes, however. The Last Frontier does not have a state-wide sales tax, and individual income and inheritance aren't taxed either.

California is close behind with residents of the Golden State spending roughly $298 for a week of groceries.

There are some surprising states near the top of the list, too.

Despite the fact that the cost of living is relatively low in Mississippi, New Mexico and Arizona, high food prices earned these states spots in the top half of the ranking.

On average, households in Mississippi spend $291 per week on groceries, those in New Mexico spend $286, and those in Arizona spend $272.

Given, US Food companies import or purchase lots of food items in from their and various contracted farms OUTSIDE the US.

Given the US exchange rate histories with those countries, fails to justify the ##% Digit Price increases and Shrinkflation.

What caused it?
Was it US Fuel Prices caused by the Biden Admin to appease the Eco-Greene?

Was it the use of Fertilizers that Liberal Eco-Greene raised hell about and state & Fed's jumped on?

Was it the Farmers being villainized, slap & fined for growing food and meat to feed us?

The strange collection of food processing plant fires
or the collection "accidental processing issues"?

Maybe the Democrat Political Agenda goals, in conflict with even basic supply logic, played a role?.

Some blame Covid. But, it only increased purchases, and allowed these companies to empty the shelves of items and then repackage them in smaller sizes and charge more.

I'm voting GREED.

#2  The consumer (using Yankee dollars) now finds him or herself in direct competition with the consumer using government subsidized food stamps.

If the food stamp recipient recieves $1200. per month in benefits, that precisely what he will spend. Nothing will be returned to the gov't.

The food industry is keenly aware of the dollars available. Demand drives the prices. Much the same with the $65,000. F-150. If sales remain relatively strong, don't expect the price to be greatly discounted.

In the past it worked out to about $1.25/LBS

#9  About $50B was spent on non alcoholic soft drinks in the USA in 2023 (about a third of this was on Coke). Some of that was spent at sports events, etc. but about $40B was purchased from groceries.

Groceries include pet food, paper plates, dish washing detergent and other items not normally thought of when you hear the word 'groceries'.

#10  I see California is among the hardest hit. I'd speculate that a big part of the inflation here is caused by Newsom's war against fossil fuel. High prices for gasoline and diesel mean high prices for everything that must be transported by trucks.

Nancy Pelosi Files Campaign Paperwork for 2026 Reelection
[Breitbart] Even a tick knows when to disengage from its victim
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has filed to run for reelection in 2026 even as she is reportedly doing “terrible” after President-elect Donald Trump’s massive victory and Republicans taking the Senate and retaining the House majority.

The 84-year-old career politician, whose district covers San Francisco, has been in the House since 1987 and remains so after winning a 20th term last week.

She made her thoughts clear on the election outcome by saying Democrats might have fared better if President Joe Biden had exited the race sooner and gone before the party turned on him.

Pelosi told the New York Times that “had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race.”

She was speaker of the House twice: from 2007 to 2011 and from 2019 to 2023 and now she plans to stay at the very highest level of government by filing for a 2026 return, according to the Federal Election Commission.

#1  Really, it's pretty sad that she can't think of anything better to do than waste her few remaining years in Washington DC just like Diane Feinstein and Ruth Bader Ginsberg did. She'll never have anywhere near the power she had when she was Speaker of the House. How do you follow an accomplishment like that? You don't. All of her accomplishments were for evil anyway. She should step aside and let younger people have a chance. Miserable old hag. Yes, it's sad but she deserves it.

DHS inspector general [suddenly] highlights four 'management and performance' challenges facing department
[JustTheNews] The department's responsibilities and missions include protecting the United States' borders, securing cyberspace and infrastructure, and countering terrorism.

The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of the Inspector General on Wednesday released a report that highlighted four major "management and performance" challenges facing the agency.

The 85-page report
…written in white hot passion, a distillation of all that has frustrated them for at least the last four years, if not considerably longer…
found that the four challenges; transparency, accountability, efficiency, and sustainability, reflect vulnerability in the department's "programs, operations, and responsibilities."

The department's responsibilities and missions include protecting American borders, securing cyberspace and infrastructure, and countering terrorism.

"These challenges may hinder its ability to advance essential missions and protect the Nation and its citizens," the inspector general's office wrote.
“We can be useful. Please don’t fire us!”
The report also highlighted the actions the department has already taken to respond to the challenges, as well as the actions it should take or is taking to address the concerns.
“Very, very useful! But even if you do fire us, at least you’ll know all, O Trump transition team.”
"These challenges are not wholly representative of all vulnerabilities confronting the Department," the office added.
“… at least you’ll know all most much…”

Newsom storms DC seeking federal emissions waivers before Trump takes office
[JustTheNews] California’s emissions standards have been adopted by states covering nearly half of America’s new light-duty vehicles and over a quarter of new heavy-duty vehicles, meaning the waivers – or their denial – could have a major impact on national transportation.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is in the nation’s capital seeking federal waivers for eight of California’s emissions policies. Without the Republican-opposed waivers, California could be unable to enforce its multi-state emissions policies that are more strict than the federal standard.

The United States Clean Air Act authorizes California to set and enforce emissions standards more strict than the federal standard, so long as the Environmental Protection Agency grants the state a waiver for each new standard. The first Trump administration attempted to revoke California’s EPA waivers, a move that was held up in court and never definitively ruled on.

“There is no Clean Air Act process for revoking a waiver – which makes sense because governments and industry rely on waivers for years after they are granted to deliver clean vehicles and develop clean air plans,” argued the California Air Resources Board, the state’s emissions regulator, at the time. “This system works, and there is no ‘off switch.’”

California’s emissions standards have been adopted by states covering nearly half of America’s new light-duty vehicles and over a quarter of new heavy-duty vehicles, meaning the waivers – or their denial – could have a major impact on national transportation.

“California’s zero-emissions truck mandate is a draconian policy that will disrupt supply chains, increase prices, and put our economy at risk,” said Congressman Jay Obernolte, R-California, on X. “The EPA should reject this waiver to protect jobs and ensure practical solutions”

Due to California serving as the main port of entry for sea-borne Pacific trade and as a major thoroughfare for trade between the United States and Mexico, California heavy-duty transportation standards would have a significant effect on the entire American supply chain.

States covering 40% of new light-duty vehicles and 26% of new heavy duty vehicles have voluntarily adopted California’s emission standards. Most of the multi-state standards fall under policies that have not yet been granted an EPA waiver, leaving their futures in jeopardy.

The two main multi-state rules are the Advanced Clean Cars II and Advanced Clean Fleets rules, which each require rapid adoption of zero-emissions vehicles for passenger and heavy duty on-road transportation.

Additional California rules under EPA waiver consideration are a ban on gas-powered yard equipment and a requirement that ships in California ports use emissions filters the Coast Guard said it would not enforce due to their propensity to ignite major fires. Other rules include separate phase-outs of diesel-powered trains, diesel-powered refrigeration in cargo trucks, some diesel-powered agricultural and construction equipment, and new heavy duty vehicle standards.

If the Biden administration approves the waivers, Congress still has the authority to review the waivers within 60 legislative days. With Republicans set to retake the Senate and maintain control of the House, Newsom may have already waited too long to aggressively push for the EPA waivers.

#4  so long as the Environmental Protection Agency grants the state a waiver

Does the EPA have statutory authority to do so? SCOTUS has been really specific on that recently.

Four Counties In MI Find Over 26K Votes Days After The Election—Several Seats Flip From Democrat To Republican, Including One MI House Seat
[GatewayPundit] On Friday, the state of Michigan, which arguably has the most untrustworthy Secretary of State in America, added 26,662 unreported votes to its unofficial vote total from four counties after canvassers reportedly discovered the stunning discrepancies.

Kent County, formerly a red county, discovered a whopping 13,795 unreported votes. Kalamazoo County, home to Western MI University and Kalamazoo College, discovered 6,691 previously unreported votes. Calhoun County blamed their discovery of 4,602 votes on a "software glitch." When northern Michigan’s Leelanau County’s results were first revealed, it looked like Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
had won almost every race, which would solidify the belief that Democrats were able to turn the popular vacation community solidly blue. But not so fast—days after the Nov. 5 election, 1,574 unreported votes were discovered that had not added to the original count, flipping almost every race thought to have been won by a Democrat to a Republican candidate.

In Leelanau County, several key races, like the three Leelanau County board of commissioners spots, showed Democrats sweeping Republicans at the polls. The important local drain commissioner, which previously showed the Democrat winning by a landslide, was flipped to give the Republican candidate a resounding victory.

We spoke with the newly elected drain commissioner, Tim O’Non, whose race flipped from Democrat Faith Hoekstra to Republican. Although Leelanau County claims they discovered 1,574 unreported votes, Timothy O’Non somehow picked up 1,736 new votes for a total of 8,736 votes over his Democratic opponent Faith Hoekstra, whose vote count currently sits at 8,093.

On Friday, Tim O’Non spoke with the Leelanau County Clerk, Michelle Crocker, who informed him that instead of losing his race, he was now winning by a small margin. Tim’s wife, Republican Trustee candidate Kerry O’Non, has now also been declared the winner of her race by ten votes, with 452 votes being awarded to Republican Jolyn Arins, whose new vote total is 458.

Michelle Crocker, the Leelanau County Clerk for decades, told Mr. O’Non that the tabulator had a "software glitch" and that the votes that would typically be uploaded into the final count didn’t happen. "She didn’t see any issues with their procedures," Tim O’Non told us, adding that he respects the county clerk who has served for three decades.

Leelanau Enterprise was first to report on the over 1,500 ballots that were not recorded in the initial Nov. 5 general election, stating that the new vote discovery could change the outcome of three Leelanau County board of commissioners races and may show that the Republican Party reclaimed the board majority.

Republican candidates Mark Walter, Will Bunek, and Alan Campbell now appear to be the winners of the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th districts. Previously, their Democrat opponents – Scott Perry, Lois Bahle, and incumbent commissioner Kama Ross – were the unofficial winners of these races.

Moreover, these results suggest some township races may have different outcomes than previously reported. And Faith Hoekstra, the Democrat who appeared to be winning the race for county drain commissioner, is now behind Republican candidate Tim O’Non in the unofficial results, with O’Non at 8,736 votes to Hoekstra’s 8,093 votes.

Leelanau County’s unofficial election results page was updated Friday evening at about 7 p.m. to include over a thousand ballots that were not recorded, according to county Clerk Michelle Crocker. The total number of ballots cast increased from 16,253 to 17,827, which was enough to shift the scales in several elections.

Voters in Centerville Township were asked to choose two trustees from a field of four candidates. The candidates with the most votes initially appeared to be Democrats Paul Winston and Rolf von Walthausen. But with the early in-person votes, the winners are Republicans Jolyn Arens and Kerry O’Non, with 458 votes and 452 votes respectively, according to the unofficial results from Friday.

Leland Township also voted for two trustees. Wednesday morning’s unofficial results showed that Republican Steve Scales and Democrat Kathryn Dawkins received the two most votes. But as of Friday evening, another Republican, Mariann Kirch, surged past Dawkins for the second most votes, with Kirch receiving 799 votes to Dawkins’s 775 votes.

#1  Democrat commissioners in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, voted on Thursday to allow undated and misdated ballots to be counted as defeated Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey gears up for a recount in the race he lost to Republican Senator-elect Dave McCormick.
Bucks County Commissioners Diane Ellis-Marseglia and Robert Harvie moved to allow for undated or misdated ballots to be counted in the crucial swing county, despite a Nov. 1 state supreme court ruling that undated or misdated ballots cannot be counted. The commissioners voted to do so as the Casey-McCormick Senate race heads to a recount, with McCormick leading by about 25,000 votes, according to The Associated Press. More lawfare in the works. The Democrats truly don't care what the law says.

Rand Paul Introduces Healthcare Freedom Legislation
[Breitbart] Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced legislation Thursday aimed at increasing healthcare access and giving Americans more alternatives to Obamacare and employer-sponsored health insurance.

“As Americans’ health care costs continue to rise, my plan puts more power in the people’s hands, getting rid of unnecessary restrictions, expanding access, and trusting Americans to make the decisions that are best for them,” Paul, an ophthalmologist, said in a written statement.

DOD 'Scrambling,' Wiping Evidence of DEI as Trump Readies to Cut Woke Generals
[Breitbart] Bye CQ!
The Pentagon is in “absolute disarray” with “generals scrambling” due to the incoming Trump administration’s plans to fire woke senior military leaders who prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) over combat readiness, according to sources.

One source compared it to a hornet’s nest being kicked over and that “DEI pages are starting to disappear off the main websites.”

“They’re being archived as we speak. They are full-bore focused on cleaning up anything DEI-related,” the source said.

Another source said people are trying to find out if they are on the list to be cut. “They are in panic mode,” the source said.

The scramble to hide evidence comes as President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team has begun gathering names of senior officers who pushed DEI.

One source familiar with the plan told Breitbart News that an executive order has been drafted to create a panel to recommend those senior officers for elimination and that the EO is “definitely” going to Trump’s desk.

“This is for real. This [EO] has made the cut,” the source said, adding that it is possible that it is still being revised and consulted with incoming leaders at the Pentagon.

Indeed, a member of the Trump transition team has already begun reaching out to troop advocates for names, including Army whistleblower retired Green Beret Lt. Col. Pete “Doc” Chambers. Chambers served for 39 years in the Army and retired after he was told not to give his troops informed consent for the COVID vaccine.

Also working on gathering names is another Army whistleblower, retired Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Samuel Shoemate, who was investigated by woke officers for running a whistleblower website and his advocacy for troops who did not want the COVID vaccine, as previously exclusively reported by Breitbart News.

Sources said, however, the EO is focused on DEI — not COVID — and that its purpose is to “reorient the U.S. military away from the woke ideology and priorities that has been foisted upon it” as far back as the Obama administration.

“The purpose of the EO is to restore the military leadership focus on keeping the country safe and when necessary, fighting the country’s wars…not these extraneous factors [such as] “white rage” and gender identity…just this full range of left-wing woke priorities that have impacted recruitment in the military and retention in the military and a person’s prospects of promotion in the military” the source familiar with the plan said.

The source said the people who worked on the EO have “stellar military policy credentials” both on the policy and legal side. “It was people who know what they’re talking about.”

Shoemate, who is soliciting names of senior military officers from his vast network of service members and veterans, said in a phone interview with Breitbart News, “They are interested full speed on DEI.”

“They want to lop off the head of the Marxist snake. And so that’s the primary criteria that I’m trying to focus on,” he said.

Shoemate said he is differentiating between officers who have promoted DEI to the detriment of the force, and those who simply have gone along with it.

“We’re looking for those who have aggressively pursued DEI policies, and then potentially been the worst about retaliation against troops for the COVID mandate and stuff like that.”

Among those names are officers who are listed in the Declaration of Military Accountability, drafted by a mixture of currently serving and former members of the military.

Shoemate said so far, there are more than a dozen names from the Navy alone, and they are still working through the Air Force and the Army.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Charles “CQ” Brown will also be on the list, for his advocacy for DEI.

“Trump’s taking out the chairman. That’s gonna happen,” Shoemate said.

13 more Soros DAs out; of 75 identified, 50 now gone
[X]

… San Francisco's tough-on-crime DA crushed her progressive opponent two-to-one.

California's Prop 36, restoring tough penalties for drugs and theft, passed with historic 70% support.

The voter revolt crossed party lines - more than half of Harris voters backed tougher crime measures, rejecting policies championed by Soros-funded prosecutors.

The shift is dramatic: Of roughly 75 Soros-linked DAs identified in 2022, over 30 have left office and 20 have been replaced by traditional prosecutors, from Virginia to Florida.

As one winning campaign put it:

"Don't Philadelphia My Pittsburgh!"

Many Pennsylvanias Now – This Revolution Has Only Just Begun
[AND Magazine] Trump won. He is filling out his Cabinet. For those in the America First movement, this is all very good news. Still, we should not delude ourselves as to the scope of the task ahead not just in Washington, DC but around the country. This has only just begun.

Republicans of all stripes have been very happy to stand on stage next to Donald Trump wearing MAGA hats and talking about "draining the swamp". That does not mean they really believe any of what they said. The swamp remains deep not just in DC but in state capitals around the country. Many of the creatures that inhabit it are Republicans.

Let’s take Pennsylvania, the state that stopped Kamala’s campaign dead in its tracks for example. Harris was defeated by the power of a grassroots movement that has been spreading across the Commonwealth for years and long since transcended traditional political boundaries. This was a true guerilla war in which mass mobilization won the day.

The turnout in rural largely white counties was in many places close to 100% and overwhelmingly those people voted for Trump. Trump’s victory, though, was not a matter of white backlash. Take a look at places like Hazleton, an old coal town that is now two-thirds Hispanic. Every precinct in Hazleton went for Trump with 60-70% of these voters voting for Trump’s America First agenda. Take a look at Philadelphia where unprecedented numbers of black Americans lined up in support of that same platform.

Why did these people vote for Trump? It boils down to what it always does in politics — ’kitchen table" issues. The voters in Hazleton and all across Pennsylvania voted for lower taxes, smaller government, lower prices, safer streets, and border security. They voted against the "woke agenda", transgender madness and government censorship.

These people also understand the magnitude of the struggle they are in. Trump’s victory was a significant milestone in the fight by Pennsylvanians and all Americans to retake control of their country. It was not the end of anything, however. When the battle of Trenton was over, and the Hessians had surrendered Washington told his generals to get the troops ready to march immediately. They protested that they and their soldiers were tired and needed rest. His response is legendary. “What can you be thinking? That we have won the war?”

We just won a battle. The war is a long way from over.

Pennsylvania’s elections are a mess. Mail-in voting and Supreme Court decreed drop boxes have combined to create a bizarre overly complex system that no one fully understands and is impossible to police. This time we managed to have a reasonably secure election but only by using a system held together by the equivalent of bailing wire and chewing gum. That system needs fixed urgently.

In Harrisburg, the Republicans who claim to be supporters of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement passed the bill that created the current mad system. In the aftermath of the 2020 election, they did exactly nothing to rectify their mistake and, in fact, ridiculed those who criticized the system as conspiracy theorists and election deniers. Even today they sit passively and watch the electoral chaos with detachment.

This is not about one election or any one state. This is about many Pennsylvania’s now. This revolution has only just begun.

This article is written by retired CIA Case Officer and author, Charles Faddis. Worth reading whatever your political leanings.

There is a video at the link too:

We know NOW just how desperate Kamala was in Pennsylvania.

HOLY EFF! Lancaster, Pennsylvania officials BUSTED a large-scale voter registration scam with thousands of applications with the same handwriting, fake signatures, false addresses, etc

They discovered the same scheme in other Pennsylvania counties.

District Attorney Heather Adams revealed that the applications came from canvassers who were paid to obtain voter registrations, adding that "The majority of the applications were from residents in the city of Lancaster... The canvases themselves took place at various shopping centers, parking lots of grocery stores and businesses, sidewalks and parks."

"We are aware of at least two other counties that receive similar applications that are currently being investigated."

If you listen closely, the DA said the Clerk received the applications at or near the deadline to register to vote. That means the bad actors waited till the last minute so no one would notice. They would've used the fraudulent applications to commit mail-in ballot fraud without getting caught.

We better check the entire state of Pennsylvania, and we better see arrests NOW.
