Three Soldiers Killed, Three Injured in Somaliland Mine Explosion
[ShabelleMedia] A roadside mine explosion in Somalia’s Dayniile district overnight claimed the lives of at least three soldiers and left three others maimed, according to local sources.

The incident took place as government forces inspected the aftermath of the blast.

The target of the attack was identified as the vehicle of Abdi Bile, being driven by soldiers from the 77th brigade who were engaged in training exercises at a local camp. The bomb, strategically placed, detonated when the vehicle passed by.

While no group has officially grabbed credit for the attack, suspicion falls on al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
, an Islamist bully boy group known for orchestrating such incidents.

This attack marks a return to violence in the capital area, which had recently seen a period of reduced explosive incidents.

Somali security forces have been actively conducting operations in the region, attempting to stabilize the area and prevent further attacks by krazed killers.

Two Al-Shabab Suspects Arrested for Mogadishu Businessmen Killings, Third Still Sought
[ShabelleMedia] The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said it has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of three businessmen in Mogadishu’s Darusalam neighborhood last month.

Following a meticulous operation, NISA confirmed the arrest of two individuals suspected of being operatives for the al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
, who are believed to have orchestrated the deadly attack on October 28, 2024.

The arrests were announced during a press briefing by NISA, where officials detailed how intelligence and community cooperation led to the apprehension. The suspects, Ali Hilowle Ibrahim and Ahmed Samatar were captured in a joint operation involving various security forces in the capital.

NISA’s statement also revealed that a manhunt is currently underway for a third suspect involved in the killings, indicating that the agency has not let up in its efforts to dismantle terrorist networks. "Our forces are diligently working to ensure the apprehension of all individuals linked to this heinous act," stated a NISA statement.

Arabia
Five dead and wounded during infighting in occupied Shabwah
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Violent festivities broke out on Wednesday with various types of medium and heavy weapons, leaving nearly five dead and maimed in Shabwah provinces, which are under the control of UAE-backed factions in eastern Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
Informed sources said, ''Clashes renewed between bully boyz of the Al Dahmar and Al al-Bahri tribes in the city of al-Alia Bayhan following confrontations between them last week.''

The confrontations broke out between tribal bully boyz in the al-Runa region, leaving two people from the Dahmar tribe dead and another from the Al al-Bahri, amid appeals to stop the bloodshed among the rustics.

Today's confrontations came after festivities broke out between tribal bully boyz last week in front of the Bayhan security directorate gate, which left two people dead and two others injured.

The Shabwah districts are witnessing unprecedented security chaos due to the absence of state authorities and the encouragement of conflict between rustics by the leaders of the factions brought in by the UAE from the west coast.

Europe
France: Pro-Palestinian French fans attack Israeli fans, game ends in 0-0 tie
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

After physical altercations in stands at Paris match, Israel holds France to 0-0 tie

[IsraelTimes] Guards quickly separate sides; crowd size of 16,611 marks lowest turnout for French national team since the Stade de France opened, with many staying away due to security fears

Security personnel intervened after physical altercations broke out at the Israel-La Belle France Nations League game at the Stade de La Belle France on Thursday night, with some French fans booing the Israeli national anthem before the start of the match.

After the scuffles broke out, security created a buffer zone separating two sections, one of which had a number of Israel supporters waving blue and white flags. The incident was over within minutes.

The game ended in a 0-0 draw — a highly impressive achievement for Israel, which earned its first point in the competition. La Belle France, who secured a place in the quarterfinals with the tie, were the defeated finalists in the 2022 World Cup.

French authorities stepped up security ahead in Gay Paree ahead of the match, hoping to avoid a repeat of the violence a week earlier in Amsterdam, where assaults on Maccabi fans sparked outrage and were widely condemned as antisemitic.

Around 4,000 police and members of the security forces patrolled inside and outside the Stade de La Belle France and on public transport. A further 1,600 civilian security personnel were also on duty.

Some 100 Israel fans defied a warning from their government against traveling for sports events, sitting in a corner of the 80,000-capacity stadium which was barely a fifth full as many stayed away due to security fears. The 16,611 attendance was the lowest for Les Bleus at the Stade de La Belle France since it opened in 1998.

Around 600 members of the Jewish community in La Belle France were also among those at the game, traveling to the stadium in buses with a police escort.

French-Jewish fans Menachem Cohen, 18, and Dov Ber Cerf, 21, said the booing heard each time Israel charged with the ball went far beyond the usual levels of home team support.

"We came because we wanted to show that we support Israel, that we are not afraid of anyone, and we won’t be intimidated by anyone. There’s a God [to protect us], and all will be okay, God willing," they said.

Attending the game were French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Michel Barnier, former president Nicolas Sarkozy
...23rd President of the French Republic. Sarkozy is married to singer-songwriter Carla Bruni, who has a really nice birthday suit...
, former French president Francois Hollande
...the Socialist president of La Belle France, an economic bad joke for la Belle France but seemingly a foreign policy realist...
, Israel’s Ambassador Joshua Zarka and many other French officials.

"We will not give in to antisemitism anywhere, and violence — including in the French Republic — will never prevail, nor will intimidation," Macron told BFMTV, after the government defied calls from some French politicians to postpone the match or move it to another city.

Macron called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before the game to assure him that French authorities had taken the necessary security measures for the match to pass off smoothly, the president’s office said.

An elite police unit guarded the Israeli team from the moment they arrived on French soil. Israel coach Ran Ben Simon said the security had been "extraordinary."

"We want to thank the security people for protecting us," he said in a post-match presser.

Earlier Thursday, several hundred pro-Paleostinian demonstrators attended an anti-Israel rally north of Gay Paree in Saint-Denis, where the Stade de La Belle France is located.

That came after a larger protest on Wednesday against the holding of an "Israel is Forever" gala in the French capital. Clashes broke out with police firing tear gas and some protesters damaged the window of a restaurant.

Pro Palestinians in Amsterdam started causing trouble again, 281 arrested
[X]

281 detained at pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel protest for defying Amsterdam ban

[IsraelTimes] Demonstrators chant ‘Amsterdam is saying no to genocide’ and ‘Free Palestine,’ days after Israeli soccer fans in the Dutch city were hunted down by gangs of masked assailants

Dutch police detained 281 anti-Israel, pro-Paleostinian protesters rallying in central Amsterdam on Wednesday in defiance of a ban imposed after violence against Israeli soccer fans last week.

Dozens of demonstrators, some with Paleostinian flags, chanted "Amsterdam is saying no to genocide" and "Free Paleostine."

Police in riot gear encircled the group and they were detained and put on buses.

Dutch authorities said later Thursday they were investigating reports of police violence against the protesters. Online footage seemed to show coppers beating protesters who had already been released after being taken away from the site of the protest.

Violence erupted in the Dutch capital before and after last Thursday’s soccer match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv, with Israeli fans hunted down and attacked by gangs of masked assailants.

Police with expanded stop-and-search powers in the Dutch capital have detained or removed hundreds of demonstrators since last week’s festivities under emergency measures imposed until Thursday.

"We say: Free Paleostine. Stop killing innocent people. Stop killing the children," said demonstrator Max van den Berg, 32, calling on the Netherlands to halt its support for Israel.

Gunman opens fire in front of Israeli consulate in Istanbul (VIDEO)
[RT] A lone gunman discharged his weapon near the Israeli consulate general in Istanbul on Thursday, leading to a tense confrontation with the Turkish police, local media have reported.

The suspect fired a pump-action shotgun in the air five or six times in front of the diplomatic mission, news outlets reported. Officers used an armored vehicle as a shield, footage from the scene shows.

Officers discharged several warning shots, before the armed individual agreed to surrender, according to the media. He was later identified as a 33-year-old man with the initials A.S. He was in possession of a machete, three magazines of various capacities for his firearm, and had four rounds left, the police said.

The suspect said he wanted to protest against the Israeli military operation in Gaza, which is a red-button issue in the predominantly Muslim nation. A.S. has a criminal record with seven convictions, officials said, including a gun violation and battery.
Did they arrest him or give him a medal and a parade?

Canadian teenagers arrested for plans to bomb Ottowa Jewish community
[Jpost] Two teenagers from Ottawa plotted to bomb a pro-Israel rally in Canada, before they were arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, according to Global News this week.

The boys were arrested in December and February over a terror plot targeting Ottawa's Jewish community.

“They are alleged to have formed a plan last fall to violently attack Jewish persons in Ottawa, possibly through the detonation of an explosive device at a pro-Israel rally,” Global News stated, citing the Department of Justice.

According to Global News, one of the boys was in possession of acetone, oxidizer and metal ball bearings. These are often used to construct bombs.

Global News quoted Canada's Integrated Terrorism Assessment Center as saying that the plot was linked to ISIS, but was likely "accelerated" following Hamas's massacre of October 7.

“Although radicalization of these individuals reportedly began prior to the October 2023 Hamas attack, at least one of the individuals was reportedly in contact with DAESH overseas and the arrests occurred during a period of DAESH calls to violence in response to the conflict.”

Surrey, BC, Canada ‘Go back to Europe - we are the owners of this Country’
[PUBLISH.TWITTER] Is the Sikh Khalistan movement moving entirely to Canada instead of trying to overthrow the Indian government? Pakistan will be so disappointed.

Perhaps that nonsense has something to do with this — I can’t find any other connection:
India Renews 2023 Extradition Request To Canada For Khalistani Leader Arsh Dalla

[OneIndia] India has announced plans to renew a 2023 extradition request to Canada for Arsh Singh Gill, also known as Arsh Dalla, a Khalistani radical and designated terrorist who is among over two dozen criminals and turbans sought by India.

Reports indicate that Dalla was recently apprehended in Canada, prompting India to push once again for his extradition.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed the move, referencing reports from November 10 regarding Dalla's arrest and the Ontario court's decision to schedule a hearing. "Given Arsh Dalla's criminal history in India and his involvement in illegal activities in Canada, it is anticipated that he will be extradited to face justice in India," Jaiswal stated.

Dalla has a criminal record involving more than 50 cases of murder, attempted murder, extortion, and terrorism, including financing terror activities. In May 2022, Interpol issued a Red Notice against him, and in July 2023, India formally requested Canada for his provisional arrest, which Canada initially declined. Later, India supplied further documentation to support the extradition request.

In an effort to verify Dalla's residency in Canada and his financial links with India, a separate request was submitted under the bilateral Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty in January 2023. Canada's Department of Justice later asked for additional details, which were promptly provided in March 2024.

Arsh Dalla, who reportedly fled to Canada, allegedly collaborated with Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar-then chief of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF)-to recruit youth and establish terror networks for extortion purposes. Nijjar was killed in June 2023 in Surrey, British Columbia. In January 2023, India's Ministry of Home Affairs officially labeled Dalla an "individual terrorist" under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

Originally from Dala village in Moga district, Punjab
...1. Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2. A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3. A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots
...
.
, Dalla is believed to operate out of British Columbia and remains wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Punjab Police. The NIA has placed a bounty of ₹10 lakh on his capture, as India intensifies efforts to bring him back to face charges.

FBI Says They Thwarted A '9/11-Style' Terror Attack Plot on US Soil
This looks more like another small fry wannabe talking big to impress his new best friend than a well-planned, multiple jihadi 9/11-style attack. As Europe reels under multi-city riots with Jew hunts, we in America have much to be grateful for.
[Townhall] The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) foiled a "9/11-style" terror attack plot that was meant to unfold on U.S. soil.

Anas Said, 28, of Houston, Texas, is accused of plotting a terrorist attack in the city and trying to provide material support to ISIS.

FBI Houston says the now-thwarted plot was part of Said's plans to commit various violent mostly peaceful acts on behalf of ISIS.

According to authorities, Said admitted to researching how to conduct an attack on local military recruiting centers, offering up his home as a safe sanctuary to ISIS operatives, bragging about carrying out a "9/11-style" attack if he had the resources, and attempting to produce ISIS propaganda.

Said was taken into custody on Nov. 8 at his Houston apartment complex, the location where he allegedly devised the scheme.

FBI officials announced Said's arrest at a news conference Thursday morning.

"Today is a great day. We've taken a suspected terrorist off the streets of Houston," FBI Houston special agent in charge Douglas Williams told news hounds.

U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani explained that Said was born in Houston but moved to Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, his family's home country, and spent "a good part of his childhood" there.

Hamdani said when agents confronted Said, he threw his cell phone against the ground in an attempt to smash it.

A search of Said's devices revealed pro-ISIS images and messages, including communications with the official media outlet for ISIS, according to Hamdani. Said allegedly created at least five videos and two images that he sent to an ISIS social media and web designer for distribution.

Said's laptop allegedly contained files of instructions on how to prepare C4 explosives, use a remote detonator, and prepare other various explosives.

Said has been on the FBI Houston Joint Terrorist Task Force's radar since 2017. Authorities noticed Said because he ordered two stickers with pro-ISIS messaging: one displaying the ISIS flag and another showing a silhouette of a man holding a rifle with the caption, "Winning the Islamic Nation."

"Our early investigation determined Said frequently viewed ISIS literature and other online propaganda," Williams said.

When the FBI questioned Said in 2018, he claimed that he did not support ISIS killings. However,
denial ain't just a river in Egypt...
he admitted to visiting ISIS media websites and said the terrorist organization was "waking people up." Said was questioned four times by the FBI that year in relation to the pro-ISIS sticker purchases.

Then, the October 7 Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
attack on Israel spurred Said toward violence, Williams said, and he was accordingly pushed to the top of the FBI's priority list of national security threats.

Said allegedly also wanted to target a Jewish group in Houston that supports Israel by impersonating a donor to meet with the organization's director and assaulting them if they didn't acquiesce.

Williams said Said confessed to wanting to use explosives to commit a mass killing in the Houston area. His strategy involved joining the U.S. military just so he could carry out violence once inside their ranks, Williams stated.

An undercover FBI agent allegedly asked Said if he would make and use an boom belt.

"If I did, it would be very easy. I would shave my beard and hair, put on a military uniform for camouflage, and go inside and push the button. Everything will turn into grilled meat," Said allegedly said.

Court documents show Said is also connected to a separate plot to harm former President George W. Bush, according to Austin-based TV station KVUE. Said allegedly told the undercover FBI agent he had offered to house men who "attempted to enter Texas to kill 'Bush,' but that plot was not successful."

Said also allegedly said Bush and President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
were "too old" to kill and that "it would be wasteful to use a bullet on them."

Said has a detention hearing on Thursday afternoon in federal court.
Fox News adds:
Despite Said's alleged crimes, he doesn't have any negative feelings about the U.S., said Zuniga.

"I would not say that at all," he said. "I think that he is certainly passionate about protecting his Islamic religion. I don't think he has any particular animosity toward the United States itself."

In a 2019 FBI interview, Said claimed "he no longer consumed radical Islamic propaganda and only used the internet for schoolwork and for watching sports," according to the memo.

The Department of Justice seals is seen during a news conference at the DOJ office in Washington, May 16, 2023. (AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana)
That wasn't true, according to the DOJ.

"On or about October 18, 2023, pursuant to legal process, FBI received information from Meta Platforms, Inc. ('Meta') regarding 11 Facebook accounts used by the Defendant that showed he continued to support ISIS and the violent attacks carried out in its name," according to the DOJ.

His family members "expressed their concerns" in FBI interviews, and "subsequent analysis of the Defendant’s electronic devices revealed multiple encrypted messaging applications containing records of his efforts to create and disseminate propaganda that glorified ISIS’s ongoing violence, the evidence underlying the material support offense charged in the indictment," the department alleged.

Said allegedly refused to comply with FBI agents who executed a search warrant against him last Friday, and he smashed his cellphone.

Maybe I've become tainted and skeptical of FBI since Obama's shake up of its core.

Because, I remember the days. When I read,

THE FBI STOPS TERROR ATTACK,

and I was immediately cheering the agency for keeping America Safe?

Now I find myself peeking behind the curtain, wondering if it's Deflection, PR Hype, or a Rewrite of the actual events.

Maybe Trump will be able to flush out DC and every _ _ _ agency of the problem, subversive, anti-norm elements that have set up shop inside our Federal government?

Somali pirate from Minnesota sentenced for holding US journalist hostage
[Fox9] A Somali pirate from Minneapolis has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in holding an American journalist hostage.

A Somali pirate from Minnesota has been sentenced to federal prison for his role in holding an American journalist hostage for nearly three years.

WHAT WE KNOW
In a blurb on Tuesday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Abdi Yusuf Hassan, of Minneapolis, and Mohammed Tahlil Mohammed, of Somalia, received a 30-year prison sentence for hostage taking, terrorism and firearm offenses related to the 977-day captivity of American freelance journalist Michael Scott Moore.
Mr. Moore is a German journalist with dual American citizenship who went to Somali to research a book on piracy. No doubt by the time his ransom was paid he knew a great deal more on the subject than he’d intended.
Officials said Hassan and Mohammed played "significant roles in Moore’s captivity" and abused their positions within the Somali government. Hassan served as the Minister of Interior Galmudug
...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth...
providence in Somalia, where he was responsible for police and security forces.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his other shoulder......
Mohammed was a serving officer in the Somali army.

WHAT HAPPENED?
In January 2012, Moore was taken from his vehicle while traveling in Somalia to research piracy and the economy. Officials say Moore was held in various locations during his time in captivity, including a hijacked ship with 28 other crew members from Vietnam, China, the Philippines, and Taiwan. His captors would move him between safehouses, keep him under armed guard, and chain him at night to prevent escape.

The captors made several proof-of-life videos requesting large ransom payments, and Moore was eventually released in September 2014 after it was paid, according to the DOJ.

The blurb says Hassan was directly involved in the ransom negotiations and directed the production of the videos. He also "served as an overall leader of the pirates" and used his home as a base of operations.

In February 2023, Hassan and Mohammed underwent a three-week trial, and a federal jury found them guilty.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
"For nearly three years, Michael Scott Moore was held hostage in Somalia by pirates. He was beaten, chained to the floor, and threatened with assault rifles and machine guns. Hassan and Mohammed were key players in that hostage-taking. Both abused their positions in Somalia’s government—Hassan, as a security bigshot, and Mohammed as an army officer—by keeping a U.S. citizen captive to satisfy their own greed. Today’s sentences demonstrate our resolve to hold those who take Americans hostage accountable for their crimes," said U.S. Attorney Damian Williams.
Shabelle Media adds:
Mohamed, 43, is from Mogadishu, Somalia. Hassan, 56, is a naturalized U.S. citizen of Minneapolis, Minn., who served as Somalia’s Minister of the Interior. They kept Moore for 977 days. In addition to a prison term, both were sentenced to one day of supervised release.

According to the Justice Department, Hassan and Mohamed were “key players” who played “significant roles” in the hostage-taking.

Hassan, a senior government official and Mohamed, an ex-Army officer, kept Moore in order to “satisfy their own greed,” says Williams.o

The U.S. government contends Hassan’s government role as Interior Minister made him responsible for police and security forces in Somalia’s Galmudug province where Moore was allegedly being held in captivity.

Moore, then a 45-year-old U.S.-German dual citizen was kidnapped by an unspecified armed group in January 2012 while conducting research on piracy for a book on a grant from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting.

He is the author of Sweetness and Blood, a 2010 about the history of surfing, and The Desert and the Sea, his 2018 memoir about his captivity in Somalia.

He was driving in the Galkayo vicinity when his vehicle was “suddenly surrounded by a group of heavily armed men carrying assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers,” officials say.

Hassan, the federal government claimed, served as “overall leader” of the group of Somali pirates to extort ransom money from Moore’s elderly mother. He also directed production of “proof-of-life” videos that Moore was forced to take part in to prove he was still alive.

Moore reportedly got pulled from his vehicle, beaten with weapons, and drove away in another vehicle to a secluded area where he was held with two Seychellois fishermen abducted in October 2011 off the Somali coast.

Meanwhile, Mohamed was a Somali Army officer and a supervisor of the group of pirates holding Moore who moved their hostage multiple times around the plagued nation on the East African continent. He was held in various locations in the vicinity of Hobyo, Somalia for roughly three months

He was held along with 26 Asian sailors later freed and returned home to their native Vietnam, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, China and the Philippines.

Moore was forced to witness things such as torture and had been under constant threat of bodily injury. The kidnappers provided Moore with next to no information. His only access to the outside world was limited to just a radio.

But in court proceedings, Moore reportedly requested the court be lenient when in Mohamed’s sentencing. “‘Gentle” was a word Moore supposedly used to descrilbe Mohamed, according to Mohamed’s lawyer.

“Mr. Moore confirmed that Mr. Mohamed was kind to him throughout his ordeal,” Susan Kellman, an attorney for Mohamed, told The Hill in an email.

Following a ransom payment, Moore’s Somali captors did release him in September 2014. The effort to obtain Williams’ release was an interagency government effort between the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI and its various branches.

IAF hit secret Iranian nuclear research facility during October operation - report
[Jpost] The Israel Air Force allegedly struck one of Iran's secret nuclear research facilities as part of an operation that took place at the end of October, according to a Friday Axios report that cited former and current US and Israeli officials.

According to the report, the attack caused significant damage to the site in the Parchin military complex, about 20 kilometers southeast of Tehran.

The strike dealt a severe blow to Iran’s nuclear development efforts, the officials cited in the report claimed.

The facility was allegedly part of the Iranian Amad nuclear weapons program until 2003. It was then used for testing explosives needed to set off a nuclear device, the report added, citing the Institute for Science and International Security.

IRAN DECLINES TO COMMENT
Axios also noted that a former Israeli official briefed on the strike said Israel destroyed sophisticated equipment that was required and necessary for the nuclear devices.

Additionally, the report said that Iran has allegedly denied using nuclear weapons. It also mentioned that the Iranian mission to the UN declined to comment on the Axios report.
"One former Israeli official briefed on the strike said it destroyed sophisticated equipment used to design the plastic explosives that surround uranium in a nuclear device and are needed to detonate it."

Iran claims to have brought its military nuclear program to a halt in 2003, and yet the Taleghan 2 building at Parchin "was used for testing explosives needed to set off a nuclear device, according to the Institute for Science and International Security."

"They conducted scientific activity that could lay the ground for the production of a nuclear weapon. It was a top-secret thing. A small part of the Iranian government knew about this, but most of the Iranian government didn't," a U.S. official told Axios.

What's interesting is that Israel knew about a nuclear weapons research facility that most of the Iranian government did not.

There's also the small matter of Iran's missile production, which was hobbled in the same October air raid that destroyed Iran's Parchin Military Complex. Three weeks ago, "multiple reports citing Israeli, American and Iranian officials," plus satellite imagery, revealed that Israel's Oct. 26 air raid "crippled Iran’s ability to produce long-range ballistic missiles."

"The Axios news site cited Israeli sources and a US official as saying Iran can’t produce the mixers [for solid rocket fuel] on its own and must acquire them from China, which may take more than a year," and that it would "take two years to repair the factory."

Whatever missiles Iran has on hand now is about all they'll have for a while.

Israel Air Force kills terrorist from PIJ Gaza City Brigade during strike
[Jpost] Anbar was eliminated alongside other Islamic Jihad terrorists who reportedly fired rockets toward Israel and its military troops.

Israel's military killed terrorist Alkaman Abed Elslam Khalil Anbar, who held a significant role in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's Gaza City Brigade, the IDF announced on Friday morning.

According to the IDF, Anbar's position in the Islamic Jihad's Gaza City Brigade placed him responsible for the terror group's fire array that directed rockets toward Israeli territory.

It also noted that Anbar was a significant figure in the group's weapon manufacturing processes.

Anbar's elimination occurred through the intelligence direction of the Israeli Security Agency, the IDF said. He was hit during an Israel Air Force strike.

The IDF also added that Anbar was eliminated alongside other Islamic Jihad terrorists who reportedly fired rockets toward Israel and its military troops.

IDF CONTINUES GAZA STRIP OPERATIONS
The IDF said that since Thursday, it has been continuing its operational activity in several areas of the Gaza Strip, including Jabalya, Beit Lahia, and Rafah.

During these operations, it reportedly directed aerial strikes and located large quantities of weaponry, including explosive devices, machine guns, and additional terrorist equipment.

Jaffa light rail attacker to be charged with murder, terror acts
[IsraelTimes] Second Palestinian terrorist was shot to death at scene of Oct. 1 attack in which 7 were killed; 3 West Bank residents previously indicted for aiding the terrorists

An indictment is set to be filed against one of the two Paleostinian men suspected of perpetrating a Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
terror attack in Jaffa on October 1 that left seven people dead and 16 maimed, Israel Police and the Shin Ben security agency announced on Thursday.

According to the joint statement, the State Attorney’s Office will charge Ahmed Himouni, 25, from Hebron in the West Bank, with acts of terrorism and murder.

During the attack, the two terrorists, one armed with a rifle and the other with a knife, attacked civilians on the Tel Aviv light rail, then got off and continued their rampage on foot along Jerusalem Street in Jaffa.

The second attacker, Mohammad Mesek, 19, also from Hebron, was killed at the scene by a municipal security officer and armed civilians who shot the two terrorists. Himouni was maimed.

The owner of a taxi company and two taxi drivers were indicted earlier this month for driving the two into Israel.

The three indicted individuals were accused of driving the terrorists, whom they knew didn’t have entry permits into Israel, to Tel Aviv. Those indictments were on charges of causing death by negligence and causing death by recklessness.

The investigation found that the gunnies had been transported from Hebron to Bethlehem and then to East Jerusalem by a network of Paleostinian drivers, according to the Ynet news site, some of whom were charged earlier this month.

Ynet added that the gun used in the rampage was purchased in Hebron with the intention of carrying out attacks in Israel.

According to the earlier indictment, the gunnies had originally planned to carry out their attack at a crowded venue, such as a sports stadium. While passing by the Bloomfield stadium, one of the gunnies asked the driver if there was a game on that evening, ostensibly to see if he could carry out a mass terror attack at the venue. There was no game being played that night.

Before carrying out the attack, the gunnies entered Jaffa’s al-Nuzha Mosque, stashed their bags in the mosque’s bathroom, and warned worshipers not to leave.

Ynet reported on Thursday that new footage mentioned in the indictment showed the two leaving the mosque, throwing ammunition over the fence, and exiting to the street in search of victims.

In another piece of footage, the gunnies could reportedly be seen running toward the light rail, where they boarded a train and attacked passengers, then getting off and continuing to shoot and stab people on the street in Jaffa.

The seven civilians murdered in the attack were Victor Shimshon Green, 33; Revital Bronstein, 24; Shahar Goldman, 30; Inbar Segev Vigder, 33; Nadia Sokolenco, 40; Ilia Nozadze, 42, a Georgian citizen; and Jonas Chrosis, 26, a Greek citizen.

IDF says it hit 30 Hezbollah sites in Beirut, Palestinian terror targets in Damascus
[IsraelTimes] Strike in Syria said to kill 15 people; military issues evacuation orders to residents in targeted parts of Lebanese capital; over 140 rocket launchers destroyed in past week

Israeli warplanes on Thursday hit Hezbollah sites in Beirut after the military issued warnings to residents in targeted areas to evacuate their homes, saying they were located near assets belonging to the terror group. , and its operatives have also been involved in launching attacks on Israel from Lebanon, alongside Hezbollah.

In Lebanon, the IDF said strikes targeting Hezbollah command centers, weapon depots and other infrastructure were carried out overnight and in the morning.

It said over 30 Hezbollah sites in the Dahiyeh suburb had been targeted over the past two days.

The sites were located "in the heart of a civilian population," the IDF said, accusing the terror group of using innocents as human shields.

The IDF also issued new evacuation orders for Lebanese civilians in the vicinity of two buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Thursday afternoon, ahead of airstrikes against Hezbollah assets. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man, published maps alongside the announcement, which called on civilians to distance themselves at least 500 meters from the sites.

The IDF said Thursday that in the past week, airstrikes had destroyed more than 140 Hezbollah rocket launchers.

Among the launchers hit were some used to fire barrages at northern and central Israel on Wednesday.

Five people were killed in strikes on the towns of Bazourieh and Jumayjimah, Lebanese media reported.

On the ground in south Lebanon, IDF commandos located a multiple-rocket launcher belonging to Hezbollah, the military said. The Commando Brigade, operating under the 91st Division, has been operating in recent days at several "new targets" in southern Lebanon.

The IDF said the commandos found and destroyed a rocket launcher with 32 barrels aimed at Israel, along with other weapons. It also said an airstrike killed two senior commanders in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan unit who were responsible for anti-tank units and operations in the coastal area.

Separately, it said some 200 Hezbollah operatives were killed over the past week during the fighting in southern Lebanon and in airstrikes.

The IDF published footage of some of the strikes.

Additionally, the army said troops from the 188th Brigade operating in southern Lebanon had uncovered major weapons depots belonging to the Radwan unit.

Among the arms discovered were anti-tank weapons, sniper rifles and rocket launchers primed to fire at communities in northern Israel. All the arms were destroyed.

A barrage of five rockets was launched from Lebanon at Haifa on Thursday afternoon. The IDF said most of the projectiles were intercepted, while the rest struck open areas. There were no reports of injuries or major damage.

The previous night, the IDF said it shot down a drone "from the east," usually a reference to Iraq, as it headed toward Israel, hours after downing a UAV over Syrian skies.

In both incidents, the military stressed the drones never entered Israeli airspace and were intercepted over Syria.

Channel 12 reported Thursday that a response from Beirut to a Lebanon ceasefire proposal from the US could come within the next 24 hours.

Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer was in Washington this week to meet with Biden administration officials on the finishing touches to the proposal, including written guarantees that Israel has freedom of action against Hezbollah threats in Lebanon.

Amid intense fighting, The Washington Post reported Wednesday that Israel was pushing ahead with efforts to forge a ceasefire there, as a foreign policy "gift" for the incoming Trump administration.

"There is an understanding that Israel would gift something to Trump ... that in January there will be an understanding about Lebanon," an Israeli official told the Post, speaking on condition of anonymity

Ali Hassan Khalil, the political aide to Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Knobby Berri

...perennial Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians...
, on Wednesday said Lebanese negotiators had reached a preliminary understanding with US envoy Amos Hochstein on a framework for a ceasefire.

In an interview with the broadcaster Al Jazeera on Wednesday evening, Khalil said that this proposal was conveyed to the Israeli side through Hochstein, though Lebanon had yet to receive any response or any suggested amendments from Israel.

He said any potential deal must be firmly based on UN Resolution 1701, adopted in 2006, to help the Lebanese army keep its southern border area with Israel free of weapons or armed personnel other than those of the Lebanese state.

Khalil said Lebanon had no objection to US or French participation in overseeing ceasefire compliance.

Israel has vowed to push Hezbollah away from the border and restore security to its communities near the boundary after over a year of deadly rocket and drone fire from the Iran-backed terror group that forced the evacuation of some 60,000 residents from the north of the country.

US hands ceasefire proposal to Beirut as IDF officer killed in southern Lebanon

on Thursday, the military announced, as a Hezbollah drone maimed two soldiers in northern Israel. The casualties came as Israel continued to pound Hezbollah targets in Lebanon — as well as in Syria — while the sides continued to look toward a possible ceasefire.

Lt. Ivri Dickshtein, 21, from Eli, was killed during an exchange of fire with Hezbollah operatives on Thursday, the army said. Dickshtein, a platoon commander in the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion, had led his platoon in an offensive in a village in southern Lebanon. Amid the operation, the troops entered a building where they encountered at least five Hezbollah gunmen. The platoon commander was killed and another officer was seriously wounded during the gun battle. Another soldier was also moderately hurt in the incident. According to the probe, all five Hezbollah operatives were killed in the exchange.

In Israel, a drone launched from Lebanon impacted near the northern town of Eliakim, some 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the northern border, wounding two soldiers. The drone had set off sirens for more than half an hour along Israel’s northern coast, including in Haifa. The two soldiers were admitted to Rambam Hospital in Haifa with shrapnel wounds. They were in moderate condition, the medical center said.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that the US ambassador to Lebanon had submitted a draft for a proposed truce in Lebanon to the country’s speaker of parliament, Nabih Berri. US ambassador Lisa Johnson met with Berri, a Hezbollah ally and the typical conduit for diplomacy with the group, on Thursday to submit Washington’s first written proposal in at least several weeks, two senior Lebanese political sources said.

“It is a draft to get observations from the Lebanese side,” one of the sources told Reuters. Neither source could provide details on the contents of the proposal.

On Thursday, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar spoke with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot, and told him that there was “progress” in attempts to reach a ceasefire in Lebanon that would allow Israelis to return to their homes safely. According to the Foreign Ministry, Sa’ar stressed that implementation of any agreement must be ensured, including keeping Hezbollah away from the border and preventing it from rearming through Syria.

Sa’ar stressed that “the international community has a role to act so that Lebanon will once again belong to the Lebanese people and not to the Iranian regime.”

Also Thursday, Energy Minister Eli Cohen said Israel was closer to reaching a ceasefire agreement than it had been since the start of the war, but that it must retain freedom to act inside Lebanon should any deal be violated. Lebanese officials told Reuters that “direct enforcement” by Israel had not been formally floated to Lebanon, but that it would be rejected by Beirut.

“The idea that Israel can enforce at any time — that is unthinkable,” one of the political sources said.
Israel tried, but it is not yet to be.
UN peacekeeping chief Jean-Pierre Lacroix said that “redeployment of the Lebanese armed forces is an absolutely central element to any durable settlement” in southern Lebanon. Lacroix, who oversees the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, said the UN intends to bolster its peacekeeping mission there to better support the Lebanese army once a truce is agreed to, but will not directly enforce a ceasefire.

“I think that has to be very clear. Implementing the [2006 UN Resolution] 1701 is the responsibility of the parties,” says Lacroix. “UNIFIL has a supportive role, and there is a lot of substance in that supporting role.”

The IDF said Thursday it had seen a decrease in the number of rockets fired by Hezbollah at Israel in the past week, down to under 100 a day on average, compared with 150-200 a day last month and in the months before that. The military believes Hezbollah is struggling to carry out major barrages, as most of its rocket stockpiles have been targeted and dozens of its commanders have been killed. Before the war, the IDF had assessed that Hezbollah would fire thousands of rockets per day in an escalation.

Lebanon’s state media reported Thursday that an Israeli airstrike killed at least nine people and wounded five others in Baalbek city in northeastern Lebanon.

Throughout the day, sporadic airstrikes targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs in a clear uptick in attacks on the area over the past two days, with the IDF issuing evacuation warnings for several locations and buildings in the suburbs Israeli fighter jets struck several Hezbollah weapons depots in the Hezbollah stronghold, following evacuation warnings, the IDF said. The sites were located “in the heart of a civilian population,” the military noted, accusing the terror group of using innocents as human shields.

The United States voiced concern on Thursday over Beirut-area fighting.

“You’ve heard us say time and time again that we do not want to see these kinds of [military] operations in Beirut, especially as it relates to densely populated areas,” said US State Department spokesman Vedant Patel when asked about the strikes.
Everybody has heard. Not that it made any difference.
Israel has struck more than 300 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in the past week, including 40 in Beirut, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said Thursday evening.

“We are striking… from Dahiyeh to Damascus,” he said in a press conference, referring to the southern suburbs of Beirut as well as the Syrian capital. The targets in Lebanon included weapons depots, commander centers and rocket launchers, according to Hagari.

The IDF spokesman noted: “We have identified that there are rockets and other weapons Hezbollah is launching at Israel that were manufactured in Syria, and were transferred to Hezbollah from Syria.”

Hagari vowed that the IDF will target “all attempts to transfer weapons from Syria to Hezbollah and strike any infrastructure we identify in Syria that is being used to manufacture weapons for Hezbollah.”

On Thursday, Syria’s state-run SANA news agency reported fresh Israeli airstrikes in the al-Qusayr area, near the border with Lebanon.

Also Thursday, UNIFIL said two or three unknown people fired approximately 30 shots in the direction of its peacekeepers on Thursday. The UNIFIL soldiers fired back and moved to safety. No one was hurt in the incident and an investigation was launched, UNIFIL said in a statement. It implied the shooters were Lebanese.

“We remind the Lebanese authorities of their responsibility to ensure the safety and security of peacekeepers who are carrying out sensitive and important work on Lebanese territory,” the UN force added. “We have requested the Lebanese authorities undertake a full and complete investigation of this incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.”
