[FoxNews] The state of Texas has taken another major step in its efforts to build a wall at its border with Mexico, acquiring a 1,400 acre ranch along the Rio Grande in a key area that officials say has seen human trafficking, as well as weapons and drug smuggling.
The Texas General Land Office (GLO) has acquired the ranch in Starr County, in Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Sector, which saw some of the highest levels of migrant traffic. The state will now use that land to build additional border wall.
Gov. Greg Abbott ... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too... announced in 2021 funding for a state project to continue construction of a wall after the Biden administration abruptly ended the Trump-era project. Abbott has also built a floating buoy barrier in the Rio Grande. His administration has linked the barriers, and a broader effort by the state, to a drop in apprehensions.

[KavkazUzel] The Mufti of Chechnya, Salah Mezhiev, called the ban on wearing hijabs in educational institutions in the Vladimir region unconstitutional, and the Coordination Center for Muslims of the North Caucasus, which he heads, called for a legislative ban on regions adopting such decrees.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus (CCMNC) spoke out against the ban on wearing religious clothing in schools. However, it had previously approved the ban on wearing the niqab. The Coordination Center reminded that it is necessary to separate the hijab and the niqab. On July 13, the center appealed to the President of Russia and the State Duma with a request not to adopt the bill of its vice-speaker Vladislav Davankov on the ban on religious clothing. The muftis of the North Caucasus stated that this decision violates the rights of believers. The government rejected the bill.
The order to ban hijabs in educational institutions of the Vladimir region violates the Constitution, said today the mufti of Chechnya, head of the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus Salakh Mezhiyev. He recalled that Russia is a multinational and multi-confessional country, and the ban "specifically and only Islamic religious clothing" is puzzling.
"Islam prescribes that Muslim women wear clothing that covers parts of the body except for the face, hands and feet. We emphasize once again that the legislation of the Russian Federation does not restrict the wearing of the hijab, moreover, it allows photographing in the hijab to obtain a passport. In this regard, there can be no talk of a ban on the hijab, and therefore no violation of the Constitution of the Russian Federation," Mezhiev emphasized.
"Calls to ban the wearing of hijabs in educational institutions are not aimed at ensuring national security. Such calls are illegal," says Mezhiyev's statement, published on October 28 on the Telegram channel of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Chechnya.
A similar statement was published on October 28 by the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus, headed by Mezhiev. Its authors called on "fighters against girls' headscarves" to direct their efforts toward the formation of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values in educational institutions of the Russian Federation, rather than engaging in "populist illegal bans on religious clothing."
The KCMSC called for "a legal assessment" of the ban on wearing hijabs and "the adoption of legislative acts at the state level that provide for the impossibility of the adoption by the authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation or other bodies of regulations regarding the possibility of banning the wearing of mandatory religious clothing in the Russian Federation," the center's Telegram channel says.
The Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Vladimir Region has supplemented the standard requirements for students' clothing with a clause banning hijabs, niqabs and other elements demonstrating the religious affiliation of students. The order of the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Vladimir Region dated October 22 was published on the legal information portal, RIA Novosti reported on October 28.
[KhaamaPress] A German media outlet has reported that several dangerous Islamist bully boyz from Afghanistan have been brought to Germany as part of the country’s evacuation program.
Following the collapse of the Afghan government and the Taliban ...the once and current oppressors of Afghanistan... ’s return to power, the German government had pledged to accept 45,000 at-risk individuals from Afghanistan. However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese... contrary to its initial commitment, a smaller number have been transferred to Germany.
The Welt newspaper reported that investigations revealed some radical Islamists, considered threats to Germany’s security, had entered the country legally.
After the threats were uncovered, the German government halted the evacuation process. Currently, thousands of individuals in neighboring countries are waiting for German visas.
These individuals were previously included in the evacuation list, but the German government has effectively suspended the process without providing them with any response.
The suspension came after an Afghan citizen in Mannheim, Germany, stabbed a police officer to death and injured several civilians. The attack sparked widespread reactions.
On Saturday, Business Insider also reported that the evacuation process was non-transparent, with people who faced no real threats being brought to Germany instead of eligible individuals.
Recently, Germany has started deporting "criminal refugees" from Afghanistan.
The situation of Afghan refugees remains dire, with many facing an uncertain future. The halt in Germany’s evacuation program has left thousands stranded in neighboring countries, with no clear path forward.
This delay adds to the existing humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, where severe poverty and lack of basic services continue to devastate lives.
Moreover, the ongoing expulsion of Afghan refugees only deepens their plight, forcing them back into a country gripped by instability and economic collapse. Urgent international intervention and transparent refugee policies are crucial to addressing this escalating crisis.
[GEO.TV] As the incumbent government strives to bring economic stability to the country, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed displeasure over the lack of trade with neighbouring countries, The News reported on Monday.
Pakistan’s nearest neighbours are Afghanistan — which is harbouring the TTP, the Pakistani Taliban — so there is a semi-war there; India, which it has been trying to conquer since before independence was declared; China, which doesn’t really need anything Pakistan has to trade, except postpubescent females; and Iran, which is Shiite, so they despise each other.
"Not trading with your neighbours does not make sense," Aurangzeb told the publication while acknowledging that any "political connotations" or "geopolitical discussions" involved were beyond his domain.
"We recently had a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) conference, we are very keen to join BRICS organization, that is because we want to join trade organizations or corridors and I think that's the right thing to do," remarked the finance czar as he noted that all intergovernmental organizations are essentially "regional corridors".
Separately, speaking at a press briefing at the conclusion of his week-long visit, attending the annual International Monetary Fund (IMF)-World Bank Fall meetings, the minister said that everyone that he met during his time in Washington acknowledged Pakistain's efforts to implement the reform agenda but had also been told to now "stay the course".
Aurangzeb further said that Islamabad opened up discussions with the IMF and World Bank on climate resilience financing as well but if it's "quantum is less than a billion dollars, it would not be meaningful".
“We’re broke. Give us more money [or our jihadis will burst out and attack the world again].”

[Rudaw] The Iraqi government on Monday announced it has submitted a letter of protest to the UN Security Council over Israel's "flagrant violation" of Iraq's illusory sovereignty by using its airspace to attack Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... two days prior.
"The Iraqi government affirms its firm commitment to Iraq’s illusory sovereignty, independence, and sanctity of its lands, and is working at various levels to confront these aggressions, and stressed that it will not allow the use of Iraqi airspace or lands to attack other countries, especially neighboring ones that have respect and common interests with Iraq," government spokesperson Basem al-Awadi said in a statement.
Iraqi Shiite militia groups and politicians are voicing anger after Tehran accused Washington of allowing Israel to use Iraqi airspace to attack the country. On Saturday, the Iranian army said that Israel used US-provided airspace in Iraq to attack Iran.
Iraq has in turn submitted a protest letter to the UN "which included condemnation of the flagrant violation committed by the Zionist entity by its aggressor aircraft violating Iraqi airspace and illusory sovereignty," according to Awadi.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... i has also directed the foreign ministry to present Iraq’s stance to Washington, Awadi added.
Four Iranian soldiers were killed in the attack which Israel said was in response to Tehran’s attacks on Israel.
Iran has directly attacked Israel twice. The first time was in April when Iran fired hundreds of missiles and drones in retaliation for a deadly strike on its embassy that Tehran blamed on Israel. The second time was on October 1 in retaliation for Israel’s killing of Hezbollah leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...> , Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... leader Ismail Haniyeh ...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank... , and an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander.
On Sunday, prominent Iraqi Shiite politician Hadi al-Amiri said the US will be held "fully responsible" for violating Iraq’s airspace, accusing Washington of "giving Israel everything it needs to carry out attacks in the region."
"The need has become more urgent than ever to end the American military presence in Iraq in all its forms," Amiri stressed.
US forces are located in several bases around Iraq at the invitation of Baghdad, as part of the global coalition to combat the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS). The mission is scheduled to wrap up in September 2025.
Last month, the US and Iraq announced that they had struck a deal to end the military mission of the anti-ISIS global coalition within a year. American troops will continue to maintain a military presence in Iraq until 2026 to support the coalition mission in Syria, which will end in two years.
On Sunday, pro-Tehran Iraqi militia group Kataib Hezbollah said that the US must face consequences for misusing Iraqi airspace.
[IsraelTimes] South Africa filed with the International Court of Justice its full submission, or Memorial, on Monday, alleging that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza during its ongoing military operation against terror group Hamas, and claiming that Israel has failed to abide by numerous clauses of the genocide convention and its international obligations.
Although Pretoria has already filed several motions requesting interim measures against Israel with the ICJ — the UN’s top court, which adjudicates disputes between nations — it was obligated to file its comprehensive arguments for a final ruling.
Israel rejects allegations of genocide in the war that began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas led a devastating cross-border assault, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.
The South African Department of International Relations & Cooperation said that the 750-page document it filed, together with 4,000 pages of “exhibits and annexes,” provides “evidence” that Israel has violated the genocide convention by “promoting the destruction of Palestinians living in Gaza,” killing them, depriving them of access to humanitarian assistance, and “causing conditions of life which are aimed at their physical destruction.”
It also alleged that Israel has had genocidal intent in its actions in Gaza, a key component of a genocide charge, has failed to prevent incitement to genocide, and has failed to punish those who have allegedly incited to genocide and committed alleged acts of genocide.

The Israeli parliament has taken a significant step by passing a law to ban the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) from operating within the country's borders.
This decision, it was reported, aims to prohibit UNRWA's activities and instructs the Israeli police to enforce the ban.
The reasoning, behind the move, stems from allegations that UNRWA has been involved in harmful activities, including murder, rape, and kidnapping of Israelis, as well as facilitating the conveyance of weapons.
Critics argue that instead of providing a solution to the Palestinian refugee crisis, UNRWA has perpetuated the issue since its establishment in 1949.
It's essential to note that this law has passed the preliminary reading, and its implications will likely be far-reaching.
The ban underscores the complex and sensitive nature of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the role of international organisations within it.
and this seen:
Israel 🇮🇱 Parliament overwhelming voted in favor of the law declaring @UNRWA
🇺🇳 an illegal entity in Israel.
All UNRWA activities and presence in Israel will cease immediately.
Despite widespread international opposition, politicians voted overwhelming on Monday evening to approve two bills essentially barring the UN agency for Paleostinian refugees and their descendants from operating in Israel, and severely curtailing its activities in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... and the West Bank.
During the opening plenum session of the Knesset’s winter legislative session, MKs voted 92 to 10 to approve a law barring UNRWA from operating in Israeli territory, and 87-9 in favor of another measure curtailing UNRWA’s activities in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank by banning state authorities from having any contact with the agency.
Without coordination with Israel, it will be almost impossible for UNRWA to work in Gaza or the West Bank, since Jerusalem would no longer be issuing entrance permits to those territories or allowing coordination with the IDF. Israel also currently controls access to Gaza from Egypt, with Israeli forces deployed along the border between them.
UNRWA — short for the United Nations ...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense... Relief and Works Agency for Paleostine Refugees in the Near East — provides education, health care and aid to millions of Paleostinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... and Syria.
According to the Ynet news site, the Foreign Ministry had warned of the dangers of passing the UNRWA legislation, stating that Israel could be found in violation of the UN charter and be expelled.
In a seeming response to the international criticism, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Israel was prepared to work with international partners, both in the 90 days before the legislation takes effect and afterward, to ensure that humanitarian aid would still reach Gazook civilians.
"UNRWA workers involved in terrorist activities against Israel must be held accountable. Since avoiding a humanitarian crisis is also essential, sustained humanitarian aid must remain available in Gaza now and in the future," the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement issued in English.
"In the 90 days before this legislation takes effect — and after — we stand ready to work with our international partners to ensure Israel continues to facilitate humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza in a way that does not threaten Israel’s security," Netanyahu’s office said.
While Israel has worked to gradually limit UNRWA’s role in the delivery of humanitarian aid, in favor of the World Food Program, UNICEF and other agencies, UNRWA is still heavily involved in the Strip’s humanitarian operation, running shelters, clinics and warehouses.
The Knesset’s approval of the two bills in their second and third (final) readings came only days after UNRWA confirmed that a Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... Nukbha commander killed in an Israeli strike, who led the killing and kidnapping of Israelis from a roadside kaboom shelter near Kibbutz Re’im on October 7 last year, had been employed by the agency since July 2022.
Israel alleges that more than 10 percent of UNRWA’s staff in Gaza have ties to terrorist factions, and that educational facilities under the organization’s auspices consistently incite hatred of Israel and glorify terror.
In February, the IDF revealed the existence of a subterranean Hamas data center directly beneath UNRWA’s Gaza Strip headquarters. The IDF has also repeatedly targeted Hamas command centers and button men hiding out in UNRWA schools.
Israel had been extremely critical of UNRWA long before the Hamas invasion and slaughter in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, saying that its near uniqueness in the world — granting refugee status not just to the first generation of refugees but to their descendants — perpetuated the conflict and a culture of dependence among Paleostinians.

Would have been much simpler and more effective to ban the entire United Nations and all its activities. I'd also like to see such a law in the United States. The United Nations has outlived any usefulness it ever had.

[GEO.TV] Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the latest meetings in Doha regarding a possible Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal focused on a new outline that takes into account previous proposals and regional developments.
"In the coming days discussions will continue between the mediators and Hamas to examine the feasibility of talks and a continued attempt to advance a deal," Netanyahu's office said in a statement.

[Jpost] The Defense Ministry announced on Monday that it signed an agreement with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Elbit Systems valued at around NIS two billion ($534 million) to significantly expand its acquisition of Iron Beam laser interception systems.
Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Elbit Systems are Israeli defense technology companies.
The agreement was signed the day after the Defense Ministry’s Director-General Eyal Zamir signed an order to broaden the laser system’s production, the ministry said.
"Since the outbreak of the war, the Defense Ministry has signed hundreds of orders worth tens of billions of shekels" to strengthen the country’s independence by manufacturing products in Israel and "to build up the IDF’s capabilities," Zamir said. "Our primary goal is to reduce reliance on external sources and to bolster the Israeli industry," he further added.
A wise approach, given how many countries suddenly decided that virtue signalling to their Moslem colonists is more important than fulfilling arms contracts with Israel.
On its website, Rafael described the Iron Beam as a "100kW class, high energy laser weapon system" that is anticipated to be the first such system in its class.

The pricing of successful shootdowns shows a beam costs about $3.50 a successful shot, followed by CRAM at about $8250.00 then it jumps to the multi-hundred thousand then mid-10s of millions then tops out around 99 million per shot so this is a good choice

true the marginal cost of each shot is pretty low
however I think there will need to be a pretty dense network of beam stations along the border and/or protecting interior assets so the capital cost may end up pretty high, surely far above the 2B NIS
sometime in the future, a beam device mounted on a UAV could make the entire missile capacity of Iran uselss

In the late 70s an expensive beam weapon was proposed. No idea if it was ever tested.
It was a long tunnel with a mirror on one end and the other a 45 degree beam splitter. A nuclear bomb in the middle. The 45 degree aimed up with a tower with an aiming mirror. The idea was that it would make a laser beam that could be made when the bomb exploded and have about %0.1 of the bombs power in the beam...
[IsraelTimes] Norwegian investor Storebrand Asset Management has divested its holding in Palantir Technologies, citing concern that the AI data firm’s involvement in providing services to the Israeli military and security forces would violate international humanitarian law and human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... Qassem was born in 1953 in southern Lebanon. He served as a Shiite cleric and educator until the late 1970s, when he joined the Amal terror group and political party during the Lebanese civil war.
When a number of Amal members split from the party to found Hezbollah in 1982, Qassem followed and was appointed deputy leader in 1991 under founding leader Abbas al-Musawi, who was killed by an Israeli helicopter attack the following year.
Qassem remained in his role when Nasrallah became leader in 1992, and served as his deputy until Nasrallah’s death.
Qassem has long been one of Hezbollah’s leading spokesmen, but he is considered by many in Lebanon to lack the charisma and gravitas of Nasrallah.
Since Nasrallah’s killing, Qassem has given three televised addresses, including one on September 30, days after Nasrallah was killed, where he appeared to be sweating profusely while reading prepared remarks.
“Despite the losses of its commanders, the attacks against civilians throughout Lebanon, and great sacrifices, we will not budge from our position,” Qassem said in that speech from an undisclosed location in Beirut. “We will continue to support Gaza and to defend Lebanon.”
According to a report by UAE-based Erem News, after the deaths of Nasrallah and Safieddine, Qassem fled Lebanon on an Iranian plane in early October and is currently residing in Tehran.
[IsraelTimes] Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported Monday that 38 people were killed and 124 wounded over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll from a year of conflict between Hezbollah and Israel to 2,710 killed.
The figures do not differentiate between civilians and combatants, but say that of the dead, 532 are women and and 157 are children.
The IDF estimates that more than 2,000 Hezbollah operatives have been killed in the conflict. Around 100 members of other terror groups have also been reported killed in Lebanon.
Hezbollah has named 516 members who have been killed by Israel during the fighting, mostly in Lebanon, but some also in Syria. These numbers have not been consistently updated since Israel began a new offensive against Hezbollah in September.
