Reprehensible upper-crust rapes
And unworthy barbarians' japes
Notwithstanding, I say,
Let's thank Bacchus today
For the birth of the mirth of the grapes!
[ShabelleMedia] Central Somalia’s Galgaduud region was the scene of renewed Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s early today, targeting al-Shabaab ... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... turbans in an escalation of the government’s offensive against the Islamist group. The areas struck included Barag Sheikh Amir and Hussein Cagey, recognized havens for al-Shabaab. Air strikes by whom?
These airstrikes follow closely on the heels of similar actions in Eeldheer, a district previously reclaimed from al-Shabaab’s control, emphasizing the Somali administration’s commitment, possibly with international assistance [from whom?]
, to undermine al-Shabaab’s network.
Details concerning the casualties or damage caused by today’s operations are not yet disclosed, leaving the local and international community in suspense over the strikes’ broader impact. Ah'm on the edge of my seat!
The strategic Galgaduud region remains on high alert, with the local population apprehensive about further military engagements by whom?
The persistence of such strikes indicates a concerted effort to dislodge al-Shabaab from Somalia, although the risk of civilian harm in densely populated urban areas poses significant operational challenges.
Although not officially confirmed, the role of foreign entities, such as the U.S., known for drone operations in the region, suggests a collaborative approach to counter-terrorism that intertwines Somalia’s domestic issues with global security concerns. [Who's?]
The imperative for clear reporting[?] on civilian casualties becomes increasingly critical, both for evaluating the tactical successes of these missions and for preserving public support, which is fundamental for sustainable peace. Does some public NOT want peace? Somali Military Operation Kills 47 Al-Shabaab Fighters in Galgudud Region
[ShabelleMedia] The Somali government announced Saturday that a decisive military operation [by whom?]
in the central Galgudud region resulted in the deaths of 47 Al-Shabaab militants.
This operation, which unfolded in the forested areas between the villages of Bidde Issa and Gerile near El-Dheer town, marked a significant engagement against the insurgent group. [ah'm tired of asking]
The operation involved not only the Somali National Army (SNA) but also national intelligence agents, and local militia, and was supported by international partners [?]
, according to an official statement released by the government.
The engagement began as a response to intelligence indicating an impending attack by Al-Shabaab militants on El-Dheer district. Well-prepared SNA and local forces confronted the militants on the outskirts of the town, leading to initial clashes where nine militants were killed.
The offensive then evolved into a broader pursuit. Following the initial skirmish, local forces, in conjunction with the SNA, targeted retreating militants in subsequent operations, which included airstrikes [Somali Army?]
in the Ali Yabaal area aimed at dispersing and neutralizing the remaining fighters.
The aftermath of the battle left the bodies of Al-Shabaab militants scattered across the battlefield, [cry HAVOC, and loose the pigs of war!]
a grim testament to the operation’s intensity and the defeat inflicted upon the insurgents. However, the operation was not without a loss for the government forces; five brave members of the SNA and local forces were martyred [so they were still Muslim?]
in the line of duty, showcasing the sacrifices made in the fight against terrorism.
Reinforcements from Masagaway further bolstered the operation, ambushing and inflicting additional casualties on the Al-Shabaab fighters as they attempted to escape, as confirmed by government sources and the Ministry of Defense. This strategic move [airborne miniguns?]
by the reinforcements played a critical role in the overall success of the operation. Wireless claymores dropped behind the FEBA would be a strategy Somali Forces Retake Key Village from Al-Shabaab in Galgaduud
[ShabelleMedia] The Somali National Army announced on Thursday that it has liberated the village of Ali Yabal, located 18 kilometers from Eeldheer in the Galgaduud region, as part of an intensified military campaign against the militant group al-Shabaab.

In memory of "Griz" of SFOD-D and other US ARMY personnel that died, to free Somalia. Only to have it revert back to the same 3rd world tribal $hit hole it was.

Skidmark: the airstrikes are probably the work of the US Air Force courtesy of AFRICOM. The other force providing international assistance is the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS), which seems to be a regional force along the lines of the UN blue helmets, so I imagine they aren’t shooting things with airplanes.
Turkey has a military base nearish to Mogadishu, where they are doing their bit to improve the professionalism of the Somali National Army, both enlisted and officers, turning them into Gorgor infantry battalions, as well as adding to the training of the Danab Brigade commandos, which started out as an AFRICOM project. But the impression I have is that the Turks don’t go hunting in the field.
You understand that I don’t actually understand what I’m talking about here, but I suspect you will. ;-)
[ShabelleMedia] The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said it has thwarted an al-Shabaab ... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... operation in the Somali capital, detaining five suspects and seizing a cache of weapons and bombs, the spy agency said on Tuesday.
Acting on preemptive intelligence, NISA conducted a series of coordinated raids across multiple residences in Mogadishu overnight.
According to officials, the operation was part of an ongoing effort to disrupt al-Shabaab networks within the city, aiming to prevent potential attacks and destabilization efforts by the group. The detained individuals are believed to be affiliated with known terrorist organizations operating in the region.
The raid resulted in the confiscation of significant quantities of arms, including firearms and materials used for constructing bombs, which officials say were intended for attacks targeting civilian and military installations.
This operation marks a significant blow to al-Shabaab infrastructure in Mogadishu, showcasing NISA’s capability to act on intelligence and execute complex operations to safeguard national security. The detained suspects are currently under interrogation, and further details are expected to be disclosed as investigations progress.

[IsraelTimes] Zaid Mohammed Mahdawi, 26, faces one count of destruction of federal property amid raucous protests that featured antisemitic messaging.
A Virginia man was arrested Friday on a charge that he spray-painted graffiti on a monument in the nation’s capital during protests against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress in July.
Zaid Mohammed Mahdawi, 26, of Richmond, Virginia, was charged in a complaint with one count of destruction of federal property. He was among thousands of protesters who gathered in Washington, DC, on July 24 to condemn Netanyahu’s visit.
Some demonstrators who gathered outside Union Station that day removed American flags and hoisted Paleostinian ones in their place. Others burned flags and sprayed graffiti on structures in Columbus Circle, in front of Union Station.
Videos posted on social media showed Mahdawi climbing the statue of Christopher Columbus in the middle of Columbus Circle and using red spray paint to write "HAMAS IS COMIN" on the monument, according to an FBI agent’s affidavit. He also spray-painted an inverted red triangle above the slogan, the affidavit says, a symbol of support for Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... attacks.
The FBI later received a tip from a witness who knew Mahdawi from a Richmond gym and recognized his image in a police bulletin.
A group of protesters had a permit to demonstrate in front of Union Station, but the US Park Police said it revoked the permit after it couldn’t reach protest organizers that afternoon. The National Park Service estimated that it cost more than $11,000 to clean up and fix damage at the site.
"Politically motivated destruction or defacing of federal property is not protected speech, it is a crime," Matthew Graves, US Attorney for the District of Columbia, said in a statement.
Mahdawi was expected to make his initial court appearance in Virginia on Friday.
A Maryland woman was arrested last month on a related charge. Isabella Giordano, 20, of Towson, is accused of using red spray paint to write "Gazoo

It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... " on a fountain in front of Union Station and spray-painting the base of two of the flagpoles in Columbus Circle.
Eight out of the 23 people arrested in the protest of thousands face federal crime charges.
Three people were charged with attempting to carry a dangerous weapon, three with attempted theft, one with two counts of assault on a police officer, and one with threats related to the protest, Fox reported.
The protest featured antisemitic and pro-Hamas slogans and signs, the vandalism of property, the torching of an effigy of Netanyahu, and the burning of an American flag.
Several protesters waved Hamas flags and wore the inverted red triangle Hamas uses to identify targets for its violence. One man waved a placard, "Allah is gathering all the Zionists for the ’Final Solution,’" a reference to the Holocaust.
The pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel demonstrators filled several blocks as they weaved through the streets of the nation’s capital carrying Paleostinian flags, pro-Hamas flags and placards, and signs with messages such as "Arrest Netanyahu" and "End all US aid to Israel."
[IsraelTimes] An anti-Israel protester has attempted to set himself on fire during a rally near the White House in Washington, DC.
Almost two hours after the protest began, with over 1,000 demonstrators in attendance, a man — named online as Samuel Mena — approached the demonstration site and attempted to set himself on fire, AFP journalists have seen.
He succeeds in lighting his left arm ablaze before bystanders and police rush to his aid, dousing him with water and extinguishing the flames using their keffiyehs, traditional Paleostinian scarves.
Pathetic.
"I’m a journalist and we neglect it, we spread the misinformation," he shouts, in between screams of pain as the fire on his arm is put out.
Police say the man is being treated for "non-life threatening injuries."
[GEO.TV] A lieutenant colonel was among six soldiers who embraced martyrdom during a shootout with forces of Evil in North Wazoo's Spinwam area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
In a statement, the military's media wing said that the exchange of fire between the two sides took place on the night between October 4-5, during which "six Khwarij" were also killed.
"Lt Col Muhammad Ali Shaukat was leading the operation against the khwarij when he and five soldiers were martyred as a result of intense exchange of fire," the ISPR stated.
The martyred soldiers were identified as Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah, Lance Naik Yusaf Ali, Lance Naik Shahid Ullah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman and Sepoy Jameel Ahmed.
"Security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism. Sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our determination," the military's media wing added.

[GEO.TV] Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have bumped off a terrorist involved in a recent attack on a convoy escorting foreign dignitaries in Swat, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
A statement released by the ISPR said that the terrorist was killed during a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Charbagh area of District Swat ...a valley and an administrative district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistain, located 99 mi from Islamabad. It is inhabited mostly by Pashto speakers. The place has gone steadily downhill since the days when Babe Ruth was the Sultan of Swat... on the night between October 4-5.
The attack on a convoy of foreign diplomats took place on September 22. Terrorists had used a roadside kaboom, which resulted in the martyrdom of a police officer, who was part of the security detail, while four others suffered injuries.
The diplomats, who remained safe, were visiting the Swat Valley area at the invitation of the local chamber of commerce to showcase it as a potential tourist destination. Hahahahaha Mission not accomplished
The bomb had went kaboom! as the convoy was en route to the Malam Jabba hill station.
In its statement today, the military's media wing said that two hard boyz — including "Kharji ring leader Atta Ullah [aka] Mehran — were killed after an intense exchange of fire, while another terrorist was apprehended.
Atta Ullah, the ISPR revealed, remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area, including the attack on the convoy of foreign dignitaries.
The military's media wing said that sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other "Kharji" found in the area.
"[...] security forces in coordination with law enforcement agencies are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country," the statement added.
Today and Monday should prove interesting all around.
[IsraelTimes] 15 arrested in London amid scuffles and banners declaring support for Hezbollah; marches held in France, Italy, South Africa, India, Philippines; pro-Israel rallies also planned
Thousands of pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel protesters marched in London and other cities on Saturday calling for an end to Israel’s military operations against terror groups in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... , as the war between Israel and terror groups Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... and Hezbollah neared the one-year mark.
At the start of a planned wave of protests worldwide, pro-Paleostinian supporters gathered in cities in the UK, La Belle France, South Africa, Ireland, and Switzerland ...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell... to demand an end to the conflict and denounce Israel.
Dozens of protests and commemorations are set to take place ahead of the anniversary Monday of Paleostinian terror group Hamas’s devastating October 7 cross-border attack on Israel which killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, triggering the ongoing war. The thousands of Lions of Islam who burst into the south of the country from the Gaza Strip also kidnapped 251 people who were taken as hostages to the Paleostinian coastal enclave.
Israel responded with a military offensive to destroy Hamas in Gaza and save the hostages.
Hamas is well on its way to being destroyed, but there are still almost a hundred hostages in Palestinian hands, some of them still alive.
The day after the Hamas assault, Lebanon’s Hezbollah began attacking along Israel’s northern border. Near-daily rocket and drone attacks were countered with Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s. Over the past two weeks, Israel massively intensified its campaign, eliminating most of Hezbollah’s leadership and destroying large amounts of the group’s weapons stockpiles.
This week Israel began what it said was a limited ground operation in southern Lebanon aimed at destroying infrastructure built for attacks on northern Israel and pushing Hezbollah away from the border.
Hezbollah will be destroyed, too, while those who hate Jews march and riot around the world, ineffectual to prevent it.
At the "National March for Paleostine" in London, attended by tens of thousands, familiar chants — "Ceasefire now," "Stop bombing hospitals, stop bombing civilians" and "From the river to the sea, will be free" — were joined by cries of "hands off Lebanon."
In addition, among the banners displayed at the march were ones reading "Hezbollah are not terrorists" and "I love Hezbollah," the UK’s Telegraph newspaper reported.
Jew-murdering terrorists openly and gleefully being cheered by Jew-hating terrorists who want the murder without having to get their hands bloody.
Supporters of Israel have questioned the intent of the mass rallies, which appear timed to mark the one-year mark of the Oct. 7 atrocities themselves, rather than the massive Israeli response in Gaza — which only started weeks later.
Yeah — about that…
London’s Metropolitan Police had said Friday it would not allow shows of support for Hamas or Hezbollah, both of which the UK has proscribed as terror groups, according to the newspaper.
And then their lips fell off, followed by both ears and an eyebrow.
Police said they were working to identify those who displayed support for banned ...the word banned seems to have a different meaning in Pakistain than it does in most other places. Or maybe it simply lacks any meaning at all...
organizations, the report said.
CCTV will show all. But perhaps spraying the crowd with ultraviolet dye mixed in Israel’s famous skunkwater would have helped identify the miscreants, were the Metropolitan Police inclined to bestir itself instead of tracking down people who express opinions on social media.
"These images have been passed to officers, including those monitoring our camera systems. We are urgently trying to identify those involved so that action can be taken," police said.
I suggest midnight raids — that’s worked so well for the Israeli police that the West Bank did not rise up either this past year or the last time Gaza tried to launch a regional war against Israel, despite the best efforts of their Iranian and Hamas paymasters.
The Campaign Against Antisemitism watchdog said in a statement reported by the Telegraph that over the past year, "those in power have allowed support for Hamas to run rampant on Britannia’s streets week in, week out."
"Now, it seems we are seeing the results of their inaction as anti-Israel protesters have apparently moved on to defending Hezbollah, a proscribed antisemitic genocidal terror group."
Oh dear. Something about a petard, was it?
It claimed that the Metropolitan Police "has enabled Jew-hatred and support for Lions of Islam to be normalized on our streets."
Some of the London march’s organizers had said they planned to target companies and institutions they claimed were "complicit in Israel’s crimes," including Barclays Bank and the British Museum.
First they came for the Jews…
Police put in place a "significant" policing operation ahead of planned protests and memorial events.
The atmosphere was tense as pro-Paleostine protesters and counter-demonstrators, some holding Israeli flags, passed each other. Scuffles broke out as coppers pushed back activists trying to get past a cordon.
While the rally in London was largely peaceful, at least 15 people were arrested, including three on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and one on suspicion of supporting a proscribed organization.
You gotcher Antifa which isn’t proscribed, and Hamas and Hezbollah, which are, and no doubt a bunch of others. But none are the dreaded Rightwing Conservative, lover of God, country, and the opposite sex, so nothing will happen to them.
Ben Jamal, director of the Paleostine Solidarity Campaign in Britannia, said he and others will keep organizing marches until action against Israel is taken.
”Let’s make every day a 10/7! I deserve some captives of my own to torment, though they needn’t be Jewish — a dear little white Christian will do nicely.”
"We need to be out on the streets in even bigger numbers to stop this carnage and stop Britannia being drawn into it," Jamal said.
In Cape Town in South Africa, hundreds walked to parliament, chanting: "Israel is a racist state" and "We are all Paleostinian." Pro-Gaza marches were also planned on Saturday in Johannesburg and Durban.
In La Belle France, hundreds of people marched in Gay Paree, Lyon, Toulouse ...lies on the banks of the River Garonne, half-way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The Toulouse metropolitan area is the fourth-largest in La Belle France... , and Strasbourg to express solidarity with the Paleostinians, AFP journalists saw.
Several thousand people came together in the Swiss city of Basel for an anti-Israel demonstration, with marchers calling for a ceasefire, economic sanctions on Israel, and an end to Swiss scientific collaboration with Israel, the Keystone-ATS news agency reported.
In Rome, several thousand demonstrators gathered in spite of a ban by local authorities who refused to authorize protests in the Italian capital, citing security concerns. Protesters chanted "Free Paleostine, Free Lebanon," waving Paleostinian flags and holding banners calling for an immediate stop to the conflict. Some protesters, dressed in black and with their faces covered, threw bottles and paper bombs at the police, who responded with tear gas and water cannons, eventually dispersing the crowd.
Italian authorities believed that the timing of Saturday’s rally in Rome risked the October 7 attack being "glorified," local media reported.
Precisely.
Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi also stressed that ahead of the key anniversary, Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... is on high alert for potential terror attacks.
"This is not a normal situation... We are already in a condition of maximum prevention," he said.
In the northern German city of Hamburg, about 950 people staged a peaceful demonstration with many waving Paleostinian and Lebanese flags or chanting "Stop the genocide," the DPA news agency reported, citing a count by police. Two smaller pro-Israeli counterdemonstrations took place without incident, it said.
Several thousand protesters gathered peacefully at Gay Paree’s Republique Plaza in a show of solidarity with the Paleostinian and Lebanese people and to condemn Israel. Many were waving Paleostinian flags while holding posters reading "Stop the genocide," "Free Paleostine," and "Hands off Lebanon."
Pro-Paleostinian demonstrators also planned to join rallies in Washington, New York’s Times Square and several other cities in the United States as well as in other parts of the world, including Denmark and India. In the Philippines, dozens of left-wing activists protested near the US Embassy in Manila, where police prevented them from getting close to the seaside compound.
Other pro-Paleostinian protests were planned over the weekend and on Monday in cities including Sydney, Buenos Aires, Madrid and Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... HIGH SECURITY ALERT
Security forces in several countries warned of heightened levels of alert in major cities, amid concerns that the escalating conflict in the Middle East could inspire new terror attacks in Europe or that the protests could turn violent mostly peaceful.
Anti-Israel protests have repeatedly taken place across Europe and around the globe over the past year and have often turned violent mostly peaceful, with confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement.
In Berlin, a march was scheduled from the Brandenburg Gate to Bebelplatz on Sunday. Local media reported that security forces have warned of a potential overload because of the scale of protests. German authorities pointed to increasing antisemitic and violent mostly peaceful incidents in recent days.
Earlier this week in La Belle France, Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau warned the country’s regional prefects, expressing concern about possible tensions and saying that the terrorist threat was high.
COMMEMORATIONS FOR OCTOBER 7 VICTIMS
Commemorations for victims of the October 7 attack are also scheduled internationally, including ceremonies in London, Washington, Gay Paree, Geneva, Athens and Berlin.
Several pro-Israeli demonstrations were expected to be held on Sunday.
An official anniversary ceremony will be held in Jerusalem on Monday.
President Isaac Herzog will lead a memorial service at Sderot, one of the cities hit hard during the onslaught by Paleostinian terrorists.

Anon1, I know you mean well, but PLEASE, PLEASE STOP suggesting that Israel take the kids and raise them as Jews. The suggestion is evil.
First of all, look at Australia’s history of putting Aborigine kids in boarding schools to civilize them — how did that work out?
Second, Israel does not do forced conversion. That’s a Moslem thing and, back in history, a Christian one. For the past 2,000 years Jews have actively discouraged conversion, so the person has to really, really want it before the rabbis will let them start studying, and another 18 month to three years before they’ll agree the person has mastered the material enough to make a reasoned decision.
Finally, there are Jews still alive who had to deal with the reality of being forced to convert — I have an Egyptian-Jewish friend who was cross-adopted at birth, the standard practice then because back in the 1950s it was the law in Egypt that fatherless orphans of non-Moslem families were forcibly converted and given to Moslem families to raise, forever separated from the Jewish community, Not just Jews — Egyptian Christians are still dealing today with their sons and daughters being kidnapped off the streets in the villages, forcibly converted, then the boys put to slave labour and the girls taken in marriage.
[Rudaw] The Iraqi army announced on Saturday that over a hundred members of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) have been killed since the beginning of the year, describing Baghdad’s progress in the fight against terrorism as "great," state media reported.
"The number of hard boyz killed so far has exceeded 100 terrorists, most of whom are dangerous leaders, and work is continuing to strike terrorism wherever it is found," state media said, citing a statement by Major General Tahseen al-Khafaji, spokesperson for Iraq’s Joint Operations Command.
Describing the army’s efforts as "great and wonderful," Khafaji attributed the increase in efficiency in operations against ISIS to better cooperation between the army and other relevant security agencies.
ISIS seized control of large swathes of Iraqi territory in 2014. The group was declared territorially defeated in 2017 but continues to carry out bombings, hit-and-run attacks, and abductions across several provinces.
The holy warriors have taken shelter in a security vacuum in areas disputed between Erbil and Baghdad, stretching across several provinces including Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... Salahaddin, Nineveh, and Diyala.
Iraqi security forces have intensified their operations against ISIS cells in recent months, particularly in the disputed areas.
On Saturday, Iraqi Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s targeted a tunnel containing suspected ISIS members in western Nineveh province, after the jihadists opened fire on an Iraqi army battalion.
Last month, the US and Iraq announced that they had struck a deal to end the military mission of the anti-ISIS global coalition within a year. American troops will continue to maintain a military presence in Iraq until 2026 to support the coalition mission in Syria, which will end in two years.

Times of Israel — useful information, not worth a separate post tomorrow:
The IDF and Shin Bet said Saturday they had identified at least 12 terror operatives among the dead in Thursday night’s fighter jet strike in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, amid an international outcry over the high number of casualties in the attack.
The strike targeted a senior Hamas commander, Zahi Yaser Abd al-Razeq Oufi, who was planning a major terror attack on the anniversary of the October 7 massacres, according to the military.
The Palestinian Authority health ministry reported 18 dead in the strike, including eight and seven-year-old siblings Karam and Sham Abu Zahra.
According to the IDF, at least 12 of those killed in the strike were confirmed as members of the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror groups. The two terror groups also announced the deaths of several operatives in the strike.
Since October 7, the IDF has carried out more than 70 airstrikes in the West Bank, using drones, attack helicopters, and fighter jets. Troops have arrested some 5,250 wanted Palestinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,050 affiliated with Hamas, since the beginning of the war.
According to the PA health ministry, more than 716 West Bank Palestinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were gunmen killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops, or terrorists carrying out attacks.
During the same period, 40 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another six members of the security forces were killed in clashes with terror operatives in the West Bank.
The IDF says the division’s 401st and 460th armored brigades encircled Jabaliya overnight, and troops are currently operating in the area.
The operation comes after the IDF says it has intelligence of Hamas operatives and infrastructure in the Jabaliya area, alongside efforts by the terror group to reestablish itself there.
As troops entered the area, the IDF says, it carried out a wave of airstrikes and artillery shelling, targeting dozens of Hamas sites in Jabaliya, including weapon depots, tunnels, cells of operatives, and other infrastructure.
“The operation will continue as long as necessary, while systematically striking and thoroughly destroying the terror infrastructure in the area,” the IDF says.
The 162nd Division was withdrawn from Rafah and the Philadelphi Corridor — the Egypt-Gaza border area — after five months, and it has handed over responsibility for the area to the IDF’s Gaza Division.
The zone, where the vast majority of the Gazan population currently resides, has multiple field hospitals and most humanitarian aid is being delivered there.
The IDF says it has published maps for Palestinian civilians “highlighting potential evacuation areas in northern Gaza, including ‘block zones’ that correspond to neighborhoods and regions.”
The military says it is also opening up two evacuation routes for Palestinians, along the Salah a-Din road and the coastal road.
Some 200,000 Palestinians have been estimated to remain in northern Gaza, after early in the war the IDF called for the entire region to evacuate to the Strip’s south.
Additionally, the IDF says another pinpoint airstrike targeted a second Hamas control center in Deir al-Balah, located in the former site of the Shuhada al-Aqsa mosque — where Hamas medical officials have claimed 5 were killed and 20 injured.
The command centers were used by Hamas to plan and carry out terror attacks against IDF forces and the State of Israel, the army says.
According to a military statement, Hamas used the facility to plan and launch attacks against Israel and Israeli forces in Gaza. The statement says the IDF took some measures to reduce civilian casualties.

[Rudaw] Iran-backed groups in Syria used rockets and drones to attack a gas field in eastern Deir ez-Zor province late Friday, a war monitor reported, adding the facility houses US forces.
The militia groups fired rockets and drones at the Conoco gas field in the al-Ezba area resulting in "violent mostly peaceful explosions," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based war monitor reported.
SOHR added that US troops based at the field intercepted some rockets.
"This was followed by a response by the forces inside the base targeting the source of the attack," reported SOHR, which relies on a network of sources within Syria.

I suppose it means troop and arms movements and offensive anti-aircraft fire for anything flying.

"Since the beginning of the (ground) maneuver, forces have eliminated some 440 bully boyz from the ground and from the air, including 30 commanders of various ranks," military front man Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a televised briefing.
"This week we will mark the anniversary of the war and October 7. We are prepared with increased forces in anticipation for this day. They will try to carry out attacks on the home front," said the military front man.
[IsraelTimes] Army strikes Hezbollah command room embedded in mosque within hospital compound as troops continue raids in south Lebanon; 3 lightly injured by Hezbollah rocket
The Israel Defense Forces continued its campaign to degrade Hezbollah in Lebanon on Saturday as it targeted command centers, weapons caches, tunnels and more, and as the military said it believed it had killed at least 440 Hezbollah operatives since the start of ground operations on Monday.
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said in a statement that Israel “must continue exerting pressure on Hezbollah and creating additional and lasting damage to the enemy. Without relief and without allowing a respite for the organization.”
The army said on Saturday said it had struck Hezbollah operatives overnight in a command center embedded in a mosque in southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil, located within the Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital compound. According to the military, the operatives were using the command room “to plan and carry out acts of terror against IDF troops and the State of Israel.” The IDF said the drone strike was “precise” and based on intelligence.
Before carrying out the strike, the IDF said it sent text messages to residents and called up officials in the nearby villages “demanding that all acts of terror carried out at the hospital cease immediately.”
Meanwhile, three people were lightly injured as a result of a Hezbollah rocket impact in the northern Arab village of Deir al-Asad, police and medics said. They were taken to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. The Magen David Adom emergency service said it had treated 10 people for acute anxiety after the rocket hit Deir al-Asad.
Police said officers operated at several scenes of rocket impacts in Karmiel, where a rocket damaged an apartment building, and Deir al-Asad, where three people were lightly injured.
Earlier, two rockets were launched from Lebanon at the Haifa Bay area. The IDF said one of the rockets was intercepted, while the second struck an open area. There were no reports of injuries or major damage in the attack.
Around noon, the IDF said it had shot down a suspected drone launched from Lebanon over the northern community of Adamit. Sirens had sounded in the area amid the incident.
A barrage of five rockets was also launched in the morning from Lebanon at northern Israel, setting off sirens in many towns in the Jezreel Valley and Wadi Ara area, including Nazareth. The IDF said some of the rockets were intercepted by air defenses while the rest impacted open areas. There were no reports of injuries.
ARMY HITS HEZBOLLAH CACHES, SEALS TUNNEL
Troops of the IDF’s Commando Brigade and elite Yahalom Unit demolished several Hezbollah tunnel shafts that were used by operatives to get close to the Israeli border in southern Lebanon, the military said. In an evening press conference, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari showed a video of a 250-meter-long Hezbollah tunnel that had been discovered by troops around some 300 meters from Israel’s border.
“These compounds were to be used by Hezbollah terrorists in a [potential] attack on the Galilee communities… yesterday we destroyed this tunnel,” he says.
The soldiers also located and demolished underground caches of weapons, observation posts, and rocket launching sites in villages in southern Lebanon. Dozens of Hezbollah operatives were killed in airstrikes directed by the commandos, the military added.
Separately, the IDF released footage of Hezbollah weapons captured by troops from the Golani Brigade in southern Lebanon. The brigade, operating under the 36th Division, has been working to clear southern Lebanese villages of Hezbollah infrastructure and weapons. The IDF said troops located caches of weapons and tunnel shafts and killed several Hezbollah gunmen during the operations. Some of the weapon caches, which were later destroyed, were located inside civilian homes, according to the military.
Hezbollah said Saturday that it was engaged in ongoing clashes with Israeli troops in the border area after earlier claiming it had forced Israeli soldiers to retreat there.
“Israeli enemy soldiers renewed an attempt to advance towards the vicinity of the municipality in the village of Odaisseh” and Hezbollah fighters confronted the attempt “and clashes are continuing,” the terror group said in a statement.
The group also said it had targeted troops in the Yaroun area and in two points across the border with rockets. There were no reports of Israeli injuries.
OVER 400 HEZBOLLAH GUNMEN KILLED
The IDF assessed Saturday that it had killed more than 440 Hezbollah operatives during ground operations in southern Lebanon, which began on Monday. The operatives, including some 30 field commanders, were killed both in airstrikes and in fighting with IDF troops, according to the military. The field commanders include officers in charge of various regional units and villages in southern Lebanon, the IDF said.
“We are pushing Hezbollah north. Some of the terrorists fled, and some are being defeated by our troops in close-quarters battles,” Hagari said in his Saturday night press conference.
The Israeli ground operations in southern Lebanon have been described by the IDF as “limited, localized, and targeted raids,” with the goal of demolishing Hezbollah’s infrastructure in the border area, especially in the villages adjacent to Israel, to enable residents of the north to return home. The raids are focusing on Hezbollah’s “centers of gravity” in southern Lebanon villages, where troops have so far found massive amounts of weapons. Israel says Hezbollah was planning a large-scale October 7-style attack on northern communities to massacre and kidnap Israeli civilians.
So glad the IDF has spiked their guns.
The IDF has said the operations in southern Lebanon will expand as needed, but that it still intends for the operations to end as quickly as possible — within a few weeks.
What is intended may not be what comes to pass, should there be need for an extended hunt, yes? Though first contact with the enemy reportedly occurred almost a year ago…
Amid the raids on Hezbollah’s smuggling routes, an Iranian aircraft suspected of ferrying weapons to the Iran-backed terror group made a U-turn in midair after IDF warnings.
”Run away! It’s the dread Pirate Roberts Soldiers Israeli! RUN AWAY!!!”
Data from flight tracking websites showed that the Qeshm Fars Air flight from Tehran, heading for Lebanon or Syria, went back on its tracks over Iraqi airspace on Saturday. The flight was allegedly carrying weapons for Hezbollah.
The IDF has said that its “military blockade” on weapons transfers to Lebanon will likely continue for a long time.
”Might as well shut down Tehran Airport, boys. We won’t be heading back there anytime soon.”
As part of the blockade, aimed at preventing Iranian arms from being delivered to Hezbollah, the IDF has struck all of the “military” crossings between Lebanon and Syria — including a major tunnel — and also hit a civilian crossing after accusing Hezbollah of using it to smuggle arms.
The IDF has also warned it would foil any attempts by Iran to transfer weapons to Hezbollah via Beirut’s civilian airport.
Separately, the IDF has allegedly struck several warehouses in Syria in recent days that were believed by the military to have been used to store Iranian weapons intended for Hezbollah.
Betcha there were great secondaries.
Meanwhile, the potential successor to slain Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been out of contact since Friday, a Lebanese security source said on Saturday, after an Israeli airstrike that is reported to have targeted him. In its campaign against the Iran-backed Lebanese terror group, Israel carried out a large strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs late on Thursday, which, according to Israeli officials cited by Axios, targeted Hashem Safieddine in an underground bunker.
Channel 12 reported Friday night that security officials were increasingly confident he had been killed. The IDF said on Friday it was still assessing the Thursday night airstrikes, which it said targeted Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters.
Israel killed Nasrallah on September 28 amid a series of strikes that decimated the terror group’s top command.
The IDF and Shin Bet security agency also said in a joint statement Saturday that two senior Hamas commanders were killed in Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon. The first strike, which took place overnight in the Beddawi Palestinian camp near the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli targeted and killed Saeed Atallah Ali. According to the IDF and Shin Bet, Ali advanced terror attacks against Israel and worked to recruit more members to Hamas in Lebanon. Hamas confirmed Ali’s death, calling him a field commander.
The second strike, which took place near the Beqaa Valley town of Saadnayel, targeted and killed Mohammed Hussein al-Lawis. The IDF and Shin Bet described al-Lawis as Hamas’s “executive authority in Lebanon” and said he directed terror attacks in the West Bank. The statement added that al-Lawis was also responsible for “Hamas’s entrenchment inside Lebanon, using it to supply weapons for rocket attacks against Israel and in attempts to manufacture advanced weaponry.”
Hamas also confirmed al-Lawis’s death in a statement.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"
[LI] At the same time, The IDF confirmed 30 projectiles from Lebanon landed in Israeli territory.
The IDF is calling on Lebanese civilians near three buildings in the southern suburb of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold known as Dahiyeh, to evacuate immediately ahead of airstrikes.
Every night, and sometimes every few hours, the IAF personally informs the populace of which buildings to clear out of. Sadly, I suspect only those with telephones or cell phones get the message.

[MilitaryWatchMagazine] The Russian Armed Forces have reportedly shot down 13 Israeli missiles over Syrian airspace, after the Israeli Air Force attempted to launch an attack on the city of Tartus in Western Syria on the Mediterranean coast. The report came from a number of Russian sources, but has yet to be confirmed. The Russian military presence in Syria is heavily concentrated in the Western province of Latakia, primarily around Khmeimim Airbase and a naval facility in the city of Tartus. Both facilities have gained growing strategic importance for Russia in recent years, with the former having been expanded to accommodate strategic bombers able to deploy nuclear capable missiles against NATO’s southern flank. Although Russia has refrained from deploying its air defence systems to intercept Israeli, Turkish and Western missile attacks in the past, the sensitivity of the city of Tartus and surrounding areas makes it highly plausible that the country’s air defence systems would be used to intervene.
Russian air defence systems deployed at Khmeimim Airbase include the long range S-400 and S-300V4, the medium range BuK-M2 and the short range Pantsir-S, as well as various electronic warfare assets. Patnsir systems have been used extensively in the past to intercept attacks from Islamist insurgent groups. Such groups have been supported extensively by Turkey, Israel and countries across the Western world. While Israeli cruise missile attacks on Syria have consistently used subsonic missiles, the S-400 and S-300V4 have proven capable of intercepting targets travelling at hypersonic speeds of over Mach 8. Both can have engagement ranges of up to 400 kilometres, depending on the missiles they are equipped with, allowing them to engage targets across Israeli airspace and beyond. If either of the systems did fire on Israeli missiles, it would likely be their first ever kinetic use in the Syria theatre. Russia depends very heavily on ground based air defence systems due to its lack of significant numbers of modern fifth generation fighters, the relatively small size of its fourth generation fighter fleet, and in Syria in particular the limited number of fighters it deploys in the theatre opposing the much larger fleets of the Western Bloc states, Israel and Turkey.
Although Russian air defences have not fired on Israeli, Turkish and Western aircraft and missiles violating Syrian airspace in the past, targeting data from their sensors has been used extensively by Syrian air defences to shoot down incoming missiles. Supplies of modern BuK-M2 medium range air defence systems to Syria has further increased interoperability. The Russian Air Force has notably on multiple occasions also deployed Su-34 and Su-35 fighters from Khmeimim Airbase to intercept Western, Turkish and Israeli aircraft over Syrian territory. One such incident occurred on August 26, 2019, when two Su-35S intercepted Israeli fighters over the Mediterranean Sea which were preparing for attacks on Syrian targets, forcing them to retreat. On September 10 that year Su-35s intercepted several Israeli aircraft over the Southern Syria and prevented them from launching airstrikes. Nine days later a pair of Su-35s prevented Israeli aircraft from attacking the suburbs of the Syrian capital Damascus. On November 12 Su-35s again intercepted an Israeli fighter to prevent airstrikes on Damascus, and on December 7 several Israeli aircraft were intercepted by Su-35s and forced to retreat during an attempt to bomb the Syrian Air Force’s primarily operational facility Tiyas Air Base. Incidents of interceptions after the 2010s in most cases remain unconfirmed.

Thirteen out of how many? It’s the ones that get through to hit the target that matter — the Syrians manage to shoot down some, too, but never enough to protect the target from destruction.
Contrariwise, Israel’s systems completely ignore incoming that’s aimed for empty dirt or the Mediterranean.
