[GEOTV] Israeli airstrikes on Yemen's Hodeidah port last month appeared to be an indiscriminate or disproportionate attack on civilians which may amount to a war crime, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said on Monday.
Sorry guys. Absolutely no one cares. Though for information: it was a very discriminate attack on military targets, which makes it ok.
Israel said on July 20 its warplanes struck Houthi military targets near Hodeidah.
The attack targeted oil facilities and a power station and HRW said it killed at least six people and wounded at least 80.

[ARABNEWS] The Iran-backed Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... militia has recruited as many as 10,000 children since the start of the conflict in Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... in 2014, say human rights ...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions... groups.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor and SAM Organization for Rights and Freedoms, a civil rights organization in Yemen, the recruitment took place between 2014 and 2021.
A report by Human Rights Watch said the majority of recruits were between 13 and 25 years old, including hundreds — possibly thousands — below the age of 18.
Media releases from the Houthis' official news outlet, SabaNet, about the militias' recent recruitment show people who appear to be children. The UN has investigated at least 1,851 individual cases of child recruitment or use by the Houthis since 2010, the report added.
Since 2011, the Houthis have featured on the UN secretary-general's annual list of groups responsible for grave violations against children in armed conflicts.
Initially listed for their recruitment and use of child soldiers, since 2016 it has also been included for killing and maiming children and for attacks against schools and hospitals.

The authority reaffirmed that it would ensure the safety of individuals who chose to collaborate with its anti-corruption investigations.
[GEOTV] A Bangladeshi war crimes tribunal set up by ousted premier Sheikh Hasina has launched three "mass murder" probes into its founder over the unrest that forced her to flee the country, its investigator said Monday.
More than 450 people were killed — many due to police fire — during a month of student-led protests against Hasina's 15-year autocratic rule, before she quit as prime minister and fled to India on August 5.
"We are collecting preliminary evidence at this stage," said Ataur Rahman, deputy director of the tribunal's investigation cell, adding the cases were related to "mass murder".
"After this, we will go to the site of the crimes," Rahman told AFP.
All three cases were brought by private individuals, and several of Hasina's former top aides have also been named in the cases, he said.
The cases relate to violence in suburbs or nearby districts of the capital Dhaka, in Mirpur, Munshiganj and Savar.
In addition, local police units across the country have filed at least 15 cases against Hasina, according to local media reports.
Some relate to cases that predate the recent unrest, and charges include murder and "crimes against humanity".
Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) was set up by Hasina in 2010 to probe atrocities during the country's liberation war.
Under Hasina, the ICT sentenced more than 100 people to death, including several of her political opponents.
The court was often criticised by rights groups for not following international conventions.

[ARABNEWS] US Secretary of State Antony Blinken ...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm... said Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured him of support for a US proposal to bridge gaps on reaching a Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... ceasefire, and pressed Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... to agree.
Following three hours of talks with the prime minister in Jerusalem, Blinken said that Netanyahu promised Israel would send a team to talks scheduled to resume this week, mediated by Egypt and Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... ''In a very constructive meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu today, he confirmed to me that Israel accepts the bridging proposal. He supports it. It's now incumbent on Hamas to do the same,'' Blinken told news hounds later in Tel Aviv.
''What I would say to Hamas and to its leadership is, if it genuinely cares about the Paleostinian people that it purports to somehow represent, then it will say 'yes' to this agreement, and it will work on clear understandings about how to implement it,'' Blinken said, a day after Hamas accused Netanyahu of obstructing the mediation efforts.
Hamas had called on mediators to implement a framework outlined in late May by US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. This Is A Man That Does Not Seem Demented... . The movement said the bridging proposal ''responds to Netanyahu's conditions'' and leaves him ''fully responsible for thwarting the efforts of the mediators.''
But Blinken said: ''The single quickest, best, most effective way to relieve the terrible suffering of the Paleostinians that was instigated by Hamas's attack on October 7 and the war that ensued is to complete this agreement.''
Blinken said he would travel Tuesday to both Egypt and Qatar and meet with the leaders of the two Arab nations, which have worked with the United States on a ceasefire plan.
He said he hoped to hear from the Arab partners the latest on Hamas's position and he played down the bully boys' criticism of the bridging proposal.
''We've seen public statements before where they don't fully reflect where Hamas is,'' Blinken said.
