[Breitbart] Declaring “far-right hatred” the immediate challenge for the United Kingdom, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer announced a rollout of facial recognition technology on Thursday night, sparking warnings by civil liberty advocates Big Brother Watch about the encroaching surveillance state.
The UK has seen a series of protests and riots in several towns across England this week, with authorities bracing for what they suspect could be more on Friday night. These indicents of violence follow the mass stabbing of children at a summer holiday activity club on Monday.

was arrested and subsequently charged with murder and attempted murder, and having appeared before a judge on Thursday will now not be seen again until October with his next court date.
Speaking on Thursday night in a speech addressing the riots in the country — if not so much the deadly attack that sparked them — Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer listed his responses to the unrest, including a crackdown with a new cross-border police command. Of the tools to be rolled out to stifle dissent, Sir Keir named: “wider deployment of facial recognition technology, and preventative action: criminal behaviour orders to restrict their movement, before they can even board a train”.
[IsraelTimes] Israel’s National Cyber Directorate has successfully taken down a social media campaign that threatened members of the Israeli delegation to the 2024 Paris Olympics, according to Hebrew media reports.
The video that was taken down reportedly showed a “price list” for the kidnapping and murder of Israeli athletes, with a reward of 40,000 euros for an assassination.
According to the Maariv newspaper, the social media clip was made to look like a news item, with a narration in broken English and images from the Olympics in Munich in 1972 during which a cell of Black September terrorists broke into the Olympic village and took Israeli athletes hostage, eventually killing 11 and a German police officer.
It featured photos of Israeli taekwondo practitioner Avishag Semberg and soccer players Dor Turgeman and Daniel Peretz, the latter of whom is not part of the Paris delegation having injured himself in the weeks before the Olympics.
The campaign was reportedly connected to a far-right French organization.
Last week, Channel 12 reported that a group of anti-Israel hackers calling themselves “Zeus” had published personal information about Israeli athletes and pictures from their military service. That campaign was reportedly promoted using social media profiles impersonating a French organization called GUD, a far-right students’ union.
[IsraelTimes] Newspapers delete mention of Amit Nakesh after learning fictitious Mossad agent’s name a homophone with ‘the assassin’ in Hebrew
Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran on Wednesday by a shadowy Mossad agent by the name of Amit Nakesh, which sounds suspiciously like the Hebrew word hamitnakesh, or “the assassin” — at least according to Turkish media reports.
Israel has neither confirmed nor denied responsibility for the attack, which has lit a fuse under regional tensions. Soon after the strike, however, Israeli social media users fell back on a familiar practice: writing prank posts about the amazing exploits of made-up Israeli soldiers and Mossad agents and giving them punny names to match.
“After his military service, Nakesh joined the Mossad and has participated in high-profile operations,” wrote the Antalya-based Akdeniz Gerçek Gazetesi, apparently picking up joke Israeli social media posts as news. “An expert in assassinations and recruiting intelligence sources, Nakesh took part in several operations against elements whom Israel considers hostile.”
The newspaper speculated that Nakesh is a Jew of Indian origin given his first name, Amit, which it said is popular in India.
Though they were slow to catch on to the prank, Turkish outlets eventually scrubbed all mentions of Nakesh — but not before they caught the attention of Israelis on social media.
By Thursday morning, an X account attributed to Nakesh popped up.
“Hi friends, Mossad agent Amit Nakesh here — a friend of the pilot Eli Copter,” the account posted, sharing a picture of Turkish reports about the agent.

Hey friends, this is Mossad agent Amit Naksh, a friend of the pilot Eli Kopter.
I see that in Turkey they blamed me for killing the terrorist Ismail Haniyeh.

Mossad agent Eli Copter (“helicopter”) was behind the May 19 chopper crash that killed Iran’s president Ebrahim Raisi and foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian — at least according to Israeli social media quipsters.
The French-Israeli news channel i24 had to issue an apology after falling for that joke.
[NY Post] The two illegal Jordanian migrants who are charged with trying to breach Marine Corps Base Quantico in May posted thousands of dollars in bail and were allowed to leave federal custody, The Post can exclusively reveal.
Hasan Yousef Hamdan, 32, and Mohammad Khair Dabous, 28, were released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention despite their immigration status — Hamdan had crossed into the country illegally in April and Dabous had overstayed his student visa and is subject to removal proceedings, law enforcement sources told The Post.
They were arrested on May 3 for trespassing onto the military installation and handed over to ICE officers because of their immigration statuses.
It’s still unknown why the men allegedly tried to get onto the base.
The site is home to the FBI Academy and FBI Laboratory, as well as a Defense Intelligence Agency facility and several major US Marine Corps commands — including the unit that flies the Marine One presidential helicopter.
"Big-time intel failure, security failure," a federal law enforcement source told The Post.
"If it wasn’t an act of terrorism, why aren’t the government officials releasing the details of this? What was the intent?"
The men both posted bond in their ICE cases — with Hamdan’s set at $15,000 and Dabous’ set at $10,000 — and were released in early June, according to federal law enforcement sources.
Hamdan and Dabous were charged with misdemeanor trespassing on military property and appeared before a judge for the first time on July 22, when they were ordered released on the conditions that they show up to court for their immigration proceedings and stay away from Quantico or other military bases, according to the court documents, which were first reported by Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies.
Federal prosecutors supported their releases on those conditions, according to the court documents.
Hamdan entered the US illegally via the southern border in San Diego in April, when he was released due to a lack of detention space, federal law enforcement sources told The Post.
Dabous was in the US illegally after overstaying his student visa, sources said.
…But instead of, you know, deporting them or at least keeping them locked up, the Biden-run ICE agency allowed both men to post bail and reenter society as free men in early June, according to the New York Post.
They later returned to court on July 22nd to face misdemeanor trespassing charges and were again ordered released on the condition that they continue to show up to court and that they stay away from U.S. military bases.
Learning just THIS much has been a major hassle, according to Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS).
“The Department of Justice, Department of Defense, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the FBI all circled wagons to guard even the identities of the two Jordanians against five written congressional inquiries, a sixth by Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin seeking government briefings about the incident, and most recently a subpoena by the Republican-led House Homeland Security Committee of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas,” he noted for CIS.
“Government lawyers went so far as to refuse a Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) Freedom of Information Act request on grounds that releasing their names was a ‘clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy’ and of ‘minimal public interest’ despite the congressional and media inquiries that reached a May 16 White House press briefing where President Biden’s spokesperson refused to answer,” he added.
In other words, the Biden administration jumped through hoops to protect the poor ol’ criminal aliens.
The two men are among a group of at least 16 suspected terrorists who’ve made it into the U.S. via America’s porous border before being caught and apprehended.
“If I am in law enforcement, I am looking at this and saying there are way too many numbers for it to be a one-off,” terrorism expert Seamus Hughes recently told the New York Post. “Alarm bells are ringing and it is a significant concern for law enforcement.”
Below are some of the suspected terrorists:
Carlos Obed Yepez-Bedoya
Yepez-Bedoya, a Columbian suspected of being part of a terrorist group, was caught in Texas this past February.
Tajik nationals
A sting in June led to the arrests of eight terrorist suspects all from Tajikistan.
“They had all been apprehended after illegally crossing the border into the United States near San Diego, some six months before being taken down in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles,” the Post noted.
The eight were reportedly talking about bombs before their arrests.
Basel Bassel Ebbadi
When questioned by a Border Patrol agent after trying to cross into the U.S. in March, Basel Bassel Ebbadi, 21, readily admitted, “I’m going to try to make a bomb.”
After being arrested, he admitted to being a member of Hezbollah.
“The only reason we caught this guy is because he’s a moron,” a Border Patrol source claimed. “If he never said anything, he would have gotten through.”
And then only God knows what would have happened…
Somali extremist
A suspected terrorist from Somalia was allowed to enter the U.S. through California in March of 2023 despite being listed on a watchlist as a “confirmed member of al Shabaab.” Due to a “mismatch,” his status on the watchlist was ignored.
“He somehow flew to Minnesota and was arrested thereafter federal authorities realized that the mismatch decision was a mistake. As to what drew him to Minnesota, that remains unclear,” according to the Post.
[IsraelTimes] Since October, Ankara has thwarted all collaboration with Israel, which holds partner status in military alliance, sources say, adding Turkey will maintain stance until war ends.
Of course he stands with his fellow Muslim Brotherhooders against those uppity juices, who refuse to stand still to be slaughtered as they ought.
Turkey has blocked cooperation between NATO and Israel since October because of its war against the Hamas terror group in Gaza and said the alliance should not engage with Israel as a partner until there is an end to the conflict, sources familiar with the process said.
Israel carries the status of NATO partner and has fostered close relations with the military alliance and some of its members, notably its biggest ally the United States.
Before Israel’s offensive in Gaza — prompted by Hamas’s thousands-strong October 7 rampage through southern Israel that left 1,200 people dead and saw 251 kidnapped — NATO member Turkey had been working to mend its long-strained ties with Israel.
Since then, Ankara has been fiercely critical of Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, which it claims amounts to a genocide, and has halted all bilateral trade. It has also slammed many Western allies for their support of Israel.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the sources said Turkey had vetoed all NATO engagement with Israel since October, including joint meetings and exercises, saying it viewed Israel’s “massacre” of Palestinians in Gaza as a violation of NATO’s founding principles.
The sources said Turkey would maintain the block on Israel and not allow it to continue or advance its interaction with NATO until there was an end to the conflict, as it believes Israel’s actions in Gaza violate international law and universal human rights.
After a NATO summit in Washington in July, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said it was not possible for NATO to continue its partnership with the Israeli administration.
Earlier this week, Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz urged the alliance to expel Turkey after Erdogan appeared to threaten to intervene militarily in Israel, as it had in Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh in the past.

Remind me again who thought having Turkey join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was a good idea.
[IsraelTimes] Bracing for the threatened response by Iran and Hezbollah to the killings of Ismail Haniyeh and Fuad Shukr, Israel is reportedly working to finalize the coordination of a regional and international coalition in order to thwart potential attacks, as was the case when Iran fired hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel on April 13-14.
According to Channel 12, this joint effort will be at the heart of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expected conversation shortly with US President Joe Biden.
To that end, Britain’s defense secretary John Healey is expected to fly to Israel tomorrow, the report says.
Yesterday, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin publicly said the US would “help defend Israel” if it is attacked in the wake of the Haniyeh killing. Israel has not claimed responsibility for the Hamas leader’s death in Tehran.
As of this writing, Israel’s Home Front Command has not issued new instructions to civilians regarding threats of revenge by Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas.
An unsourced Channel 12 report also says Israel has conveyed a message via Arab and other regional third parties to Hezbollah that, whereas the Lebanese terror group killed 12 children in Majdal Shams on Saturday night, Israel responded by hitting a military target, Shukr. If Hezbollah responds, the Israeli message is quoted as saying, it will be a case of “army against army. But if you start to hit civilian targets, this will be a broad war against Hezbollah, and Israel will see itself as unconstrained.”
What this means, the TV report suggests, is not that Israel would target civilians, but that it could target Lebanese infrastructure, including in Beirut. The goal of the message, the report says, is to constrain Hezbollah.
Channel 12 also quotes an unnamed senior Israeli source saying the current high state of military preparation for a potential attack could last for several days. While Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah “could attempt to respond quickly,” the source says, it could take the Iranians longer to decide “how and when they want to respond.”
The report also says that Biden, in his call with Netanyahu, is expected to press Netanyahu to utilize Israel’s latest achievements and show flexibility in efforts to conclude a ceasefire-hostage deal with Hamas in Gaza.
However, Netanyahu, the report says, is convinced that only military pressure has yielded Hamas flexibility to date, and that now is not the time to take the foot off the gas.
[IsraelTimes] The Biden administration believes Iran is going to attack Israel in the coming days as revenge for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran earlier this week, according to senior US officials quoted by Hebrew media.
The officials quoted by the Walla news site add that Washington is prepared to help Israel stop a potential attack from Iran and its proxies in the region, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Palestinian Hamas terror group.
The US assessment is that the reprisal will be similar to Iran’s attack on April 13-14 when it launched a barrage of missiles and drones at Israel in retaliation for a deadly strike on Revolutionary Guard generals in Damascus on April 1. Almost all of some 300 projectiles in the barrage were shot down.
However, the officials say the response will likely be larger in scope, as it will likely involve Hezbollah, according to the Walla report.
The report adds that senior Biden administration officials are concerned that this could make pulling together a regional and international coalition to thwart potential attacks, as was the case when Iran fired hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel in April, more difficult.
The US, Britain, Jordan and France all helped to intercept the massive barrage, while several Gulf States, among them Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, reportedly passed on intelligence about Tehran’s plans to attack Israel, providing vital information that was key to the success of the air defense measures.
[IsraelTimes] Palestinian media says Wasim Abu Shaaban, killed alongside Hamas leader, was part of elite unit before being appointed to protect politburo chief
Now we know.
Palestinian media outlets reported Thursday that the bodyguard of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed with him in Tehran the day before,
…at two in the morning in Mr. Haniyeh’s bedroom, which could be all kinds of interesting, but probably isn’t..
was part of a terror squad that penetrated into Israel through a tunnel in July 2014 and fired an anti-tank missile at IDF forces in Nahal Oz, killing five soldiers.
An aside: an interesting point made in yesterday’s article is that Israel has killed over sixty of Mr. Haniyeh’s nearest and dearest, a high price to pay for that seriously overstuffed offshore bank account.
According to Sama News and the Palestinian Media Center, Wasim Abu Shaaban was a member of the cell that carried out the attack during that year’s Gaza war, known as Operation Protective Edge.
Abu Shaaban was reportedly born in Gaza in 1988, studied sharia law at Gaza’s Islamic University, and was married with four children.
He is said to have begun his career in the terror group as an aide to former Hamas senior member and Palestinian interior minister Said Seyam, killed by Israel in 2009.
He was also reportedly a fighter in Hamas’s military wing, the Izz a-Din al-Qassam Brigades, where he rose to become deputy commander of a company in the Nukhba (elite unit) of Tel al-Hawa, in the southern part of Gaza City.
Abu Shaaban was later appointed to become a permanent member of the delegation accompanying Haniyeh as his bodyguard, after Haniyeh left the Gaza Strip in 2019, the Palestinian outlets said.
A funeral procession for Haniyeh and Abu Shaaban was held in the Iranian capital Tehran on Thursday, attended by the Islamic Republic’s upper echelons. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei led prayers, having earlier threatened a “harsh punishment” for the Hamas leader’s killing.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps chief General Hossein Salami were also present. Haniyeh had been visiting Tehran for Pezeshkian’s inauguration ceremony on Tuesday.
Senior Hamas figure Khalil al-Hayya, the movement’s foreign relations chief, vowed during the ceremony that “Ismail Haniyeh’s slogan, ‘We will not recognize Israel,’ will remain an immortal slogan” and “we will pursue Israel until it is uprooted from the land of Palestine.”
Iran’s conservative parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran “will certainly carry out the supreme leader’s order” to avenge Haniyeh by carrying out a direct strike on Israel.
“It is our duty to respond at the right time and in the right place,” he said in a speech with crowds chanting “Death to Israel, Death to America!”
The caskets, painted on top with the colors of the Palestinian flag and decorated on the sides with a black-and-white pattern resembling a Palestinian keffiyeh scarf, were borne on a flower-bedecked truck through leafy streets where cooling water mists sprayed the flag-waving crowds.
After the procession, the two bodies are expected to be transferred to Qatar. In Doha, another ceremony is to be held after Friday’s Islamic prayers shortly after noon in the country’s largest mosque.
Haniyeh and Abu Shaaban will then be buried in Lusail, north of the capital Doha, in the same cemetery where the founder of the State of Qatar, Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, is interred.
While Iran has blamed the attack on its arch-foe, Israel has declined to comment on Haniyeh’s death.
[IsraelTimes] Military says Ismail Al-Ghoul was member of Hamas’s elite Nukhba force, directed terrorists on how to film, distribute videos of attacks on Israeli troops
The IDF confirmed carrying out a strike in Gaza City on Wednesday that killed Al Jazeera reporter Ismail Al-Ghoul, and said he was a member of Hamas’s elite Nukhba force who participated in the October 7 onslaught.
In addition to his participation in the massacres in southern Israel, Al-Ghoul also instructed other terror operatives on how to film and distribute videos of attacks on Israeli troops, according to the military.
“This activity is an integral part of the terror organization’s military action,” the army said.
“The IDF and the Shin Bet are making every effort to attack and eliminate terrorists who took part in the October 7 massacre and will continue to do so,” the statement added.
The airstrike also killed Al Jazeera cameraman Ramy El-Rify.
In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas condemned the killings as a “heinous crime” which it said was “aimed at terrorizing and silencing” Palestinian journalists as they reported “the ongoing genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip for nearly 10 months.”
Al Jazeera, which broadcasts in English and Arabic, has been the focus of months of criticism from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government.
In early May, the government banned Al Jazeera in Israel, shuttering and raiding its offices, alleging it was actively harming national security. Last month, the Tel Aviv District Court extended the ban on the network.
In January, Israel said an Al Jazeera staff journalist and a freelancer killed in an airstrike in Gaza were terror operatives.
The following month, it accused another journalist with the channel, who was wounded in a separate strike, of being a deputy company commander with Hamas.
Al Jazeera has fiercely denied Israel’s allegations and accused it of systematically targeting Al Jazeera employees in the Gaza Strip.
Thousands of terrorists broke through the border fence from Gaza on October 7, rampaging through Israel’s southern towns and murdering some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, while carrying out other atrocities like mutilation and sexual abuse.
They also took 251 hostages, 111 of whom are believed to still be held captive in Gaza, including the bodies of 39 confirmed dead by the IDF.
They are not the same.
One is an enemy combatant that stages events.
One is neutral and reports unbiased news for civilians.

[GEO.TV] Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid has condemned the government for failing to free the captives in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... while simultaneously dragging the country into an "endless" conflict, Al Jazeera reported.
"All the government offers us is more war, more war, and endless war, which will continue for years until we not only defeat them but also ourselves," wrote Lapid in a post on X.
It’s not like he has anything more important to do.
"It is our duty to remember that there is another way," he said. "It is possible to negotiate a captive exchange and bring them back home."
It would be nice, but really Hamas confirmation is not necessary. Israel is the party with the advanced science labs and computer programs and stuff.
[GEO.TV] Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... member Izzat al-Rashq said in a post on Telegram that there is no confirmation over the Israeli claim that it killed Deif last month.
"Confirming or denying the martyrdom of any of the Qassam leaders is a matter for the leadership of the Qassam Brigades and the leadership of the movement," the post said, reported Al Jazeera.
"Unless either of them announced, none of the news published in the media or by any other party can be confirmed."

It's hard to confirm what that fine red mist used to be...
[IsraelTimes] The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs lodges a complaint with the UN Security Council and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres requesting to condemn “Israel’s cyberattacks on Lebanon,” the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reports.
The complaint is based on a report by Beirut’s Ministry of Telecommunications which found that signal interference from northern Israel led to a decline in the accuracy of navigation systems in Lebanon, impacting a host of applications.
Disruptions to the Global Positioning System (GPS) in Lebanon “jeopardize the country’s civil aviation services and telecom systems at vital facilities,” NNA writes.
The Israel Defense Forces has been blocking some GPS signals amid the ongoing war with the Palestinian terror group Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and clashes with Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
Since the early days of the war, Israeli motorists using navigation apps like Waze and Google Maps would often see their locations show up completely wrong — users in Tel Aviv would be marked in Cairo, while people in Haifa would show up as in Beirut.
In March, Beirut announced that it would file an urgent complaint with the UNSC over the same issue, which it then defined as a “violation of its sovereignty” by Israel.

The Great White Father in Washington speaks with a forked tongue.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. by Leonid Tsukanov
[REGNUM] After the death of Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the movement faced the question of who would coordinate its actions in the future. The vacant post was quickly filled by "Palestinian veteran" Khaled Mashal, who has about 40 years of membership in the group behind him. Of these, 20 were spent as head of the Politburo. Despite the fact that Mashal has so far headed this body with the prefix "acting", few doubt his retention in this post. Both Palestinian and Israeli sources call Mashal nothing less than "candidate number one" - despite the fact that a string of supporters and opponents of the deceased Haniyeh is reaching for the throne.
