[SUDANTRIBUNE] The Coordination of Civilian Democratic Forces "Tagadum" has declined to participate in the initial phase of political dialogue organised by the African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... (AU) in Addis Ababa, scheduled from 10 to 15 July.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the coalition’s General Secretariat cited concerns over a lack of transparency in the meeting’s design. It stated that information received had confirmed these concerns over the participation of the Islamists of the banned National Congress Party.
The statement went on to say that the meeting is dominated by elements of the former regime, its associates, and what it termed "forces of war." This "marginalises the forces for peace and civil democratic transformation, weakening their role".
The coalition believes this situation will only legitimise the war and its proponents, rather than achieving peace in Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... The African Union has been sticking to its idea of an " all-inclusive Sudan political dialogue process" referring to the participation of the Sudanese Islamists who reject the idea of a secular state in Sudan and actively undermined the civilian-led transitional government of Abdallah Hamdok.
On 10 June, the coalition received an invitation from Mohammed Ibn Chambas, head of the AU High-Level Implementation Panel for Sudan, to attend the dialogue.
The coalition’s statement affirmed that it had carefully considered the invitation, as ending the war and establishing lasting peace in Sudan is its top priority.
"The invitation lacked details regarding the involved parties and the methodology used to design the process," the statement underscored. "Consequently, we requested a meeting with the mechanism to address our queries, which was held virtually on 25 June 2024. Unfortunately, we did not receive the necessary information, as the mechanism declined to inform us of the meeting’s participants and refused to consult on the matter."
[NEWARAB] Foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet in Washington on Wednesday for a fresh round of US-mediated talks, Yerevan's foreign ministry said, as the arch-foe neighbours negotiate a peace agreement.
The Caucasus rivals fought two wars -- in the 1990s and in 2020 -- over control of Azerbaijan's breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region, which had been predominantly populated by ethnic Armenians.
Last autumn, Baku recaptured the mountainous enclave in a lightning one-day offensive that led to the exodus of its entire Armenian population -- more than 100,000 people.
Years of internationally mediated peace talks between Baku and Yerevan have failed to produce a breakthrough, but the two countries' leaders have said recently that a comprehensive peace deal is within reach.
"A trilateral meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken ...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm... will be held on July 10," Armenian foreign ministry spokeswoman Ani Badalyan said.

[NINANEWS] Ottoman Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler announced that his country is determined to establish a security corridor 30-40 kilometers deep along the borders with Iraq and Syria and cleanse the region of Kurdistan Workers' Party holy warriors.
In a statement today, Wednesday, the Ottoman Turkish Ministry of Defense quoted Minister Guler in an interview with Politico magazine as saying: "We are determined to establish a security corridor 30 to 40 kilometers deep along our borders with Iraq and Syria and completely cleanse the region of terrorists. We will continue operations until the last terrorist is neutralized ".
Regarding NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Originally it was a mutual defense pact directed against an expansionist Soviet Union. In later years it evolved into a mechanism for picking the American pocket while criticizing the cut of the American pants... , Guler said: "We completely reject the claim that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... is untrustworthy; there is no such thing. It is unreasonable for us to have the same views on every issue in an environment where 32 allies come together."
He added: "There are countries trying to create such a perception, and so far Turkey has been the only country that has been able to bring together the two sides of the war (Russia and Ukraine) in high-level talks. We will not allow the Black Sea to turn into a strategic battlefield."
The minister noted that Turkey aims to "create a completely independent defense industry based on local and national production, thus strengthening the country's economy and contributing to Turkey's independence."
He said: "The mentioned military technologies are different, starting with land, sea and air, drones, helicopters, weapons, smart munitions, missiles, air defense systems and electronic warfare."
He stated that Turkey has exported much of this technology to other countries.

An anti-terrorism brief was held on Fort Liberty (Bragg) today where they listed several Pro-Life organizations as “terrorist organizations.”
The slide you see here followed right after a slide about ISIS, a terror group in the Middle East.
The organizations labeled by the army as terror organizations include National Right to Life and Operation Rescue.
They also included a screenshot of a license plate with “IM4IT,” which is a plate many Pro-Life citizens put on their car which implies normal citizens are terrorists if they display this plate.
The slide goes on to mention activities which these organizations participate in which include being Pro-Life, opposing Row v Wade, demonstrating and protesting (a 1st Amendment protected right), “Truth Displays,” and picketing.
They also falsely attribute the bombing of abortion clinics to National Right to Life.
Keep in mind they’re not labeling them as extremist organizations (which would still be crazy), but as terrorist organizations.
The military and Dept of Defense are insanely out of control. Service-members are being indoctrinated to view Pro-Life groups as the enemy.

[NAHARNET] U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein is seeking an agreement through which both the Lebanese and Israeli sides can "appear victorious," an informed source said in remarks to Kuwait’s al-Anbaa newspaper, quoting Western diplomats.
"One of the exits that he is looking for would be a balanced, mutual retreat from both sides of the border by Hezbollah’s fighters and the Israeli army with U.S. guarantees and an active role for the U.N. forces," the daily said.
Hezbollah since October has traded almost daily cross-border fire from Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... with the Israeli army in support of Paleostinian ally Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... The cross-border violence since October 8 has killed nearly 500 people in Lebanon, mostly fighters but also including 95 civilians, according to an AFP tally.
On the Israeli side, at least 29 people have been killed, the majority of them soldiers, according to Israeli authorities.

[NEWARAB] Hezbollah chief Sayyed ...Arabic term meaning your/his lordship. Groveling in His Exalted Presence is encouraged... His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...> said Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... was conducting Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... ceasefire talks with Israel on behalf of the entire "Axis of Resistance®" and, if a deal was reached, Hezbollah would stop its operations with no need for separate talks.
At the same time, Nasrallah warned that Hezbollah was ready for and did not fear a war and pointed to the ever-larger salvos of rockets and drones the group has fired at Israel as evidence.
The Axis of Resistance® is an alliance built up over years of Iranian support against Israel and US influence in the Middle East. It includes the Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... 's Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... s and Shi'ite gangs in Iraq.
"Hamas is negotiating on its own behalf and on behalf of the Paleostinian factions, and also on behalf of the entire Axis of Resistance®. What Hamas accepts, we all accept," Nasrallah said, speaking in a televised address to mourn the recent killing of a senior Hezbollah commander.
Hezbollah began firing at Israeli targets on the border in support of Paleostinians after its ally Hamas launched the 7 October attack on Israel that precipitated the war in Gaza.
It has repeatedly labelled its attacks as a "support front" aimed at drawing Israeli military resources away from Gaza and supporting Paleostinians.
Tens of thousands of Israelis and Lebanese have been forced to evacuate from the area around the border between the two countries and international observers have warned in recent weeks of the growing risk of a wider conflict.
