[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Six people were killed and 22 others injured, as reported by the besieged in the Chaman district of Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. The protesters object to the requirement of a passport and visa to cross the Chaman-Spin Boldak border.
One of the protesters in Chaman, Chausullah, told media outlets that the Pak security force (FC) launched an armed attack on the protesters, as a result of which 6 protesters were killed and 22 others were maimed, as reported by Afghanistan International.
He added that Pak security forces, after firing on the protesters, also set fire to their besieged tents.

The Pak government has required a passport and visa to cross the Chaman-Spin Boldak border since 29 May, last year. Thousands of residents of Chaman district in Balochistan province, Pakistain, have resorted to besieging and demanding the repeal of this law.
Previously, residents on both sides of the border could travel back and forth with an Afghan ID card and Pak passport.
After about seven months of protest and besieging, the Pak government has not yet positively responded to the demands of the protesters, and they demand the lifting of this siege.

A 12-person jury in San Diego County has convicted two So Cal Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... members after hearing evidence over the course of a four week trial. The two men from Los Angeles were revealed to have conspired as part of So Cal Antifa to confront beach-goers at Pacific Beach more than three years ago. This legal case could provide a blueprint on how prosecutors can unmask and break up criminal Antifa cells.
Defendants Jeremy Jonathan White, 41, and Brian Cortez Lightfoot Jr., 27, both of Los Angeles, were accused of assaulting supporters of former President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... and others on a beach boardwalk, but the jury deadlocked on the six assault charges against Lightfoot. This case was the first time Antifa suspects were charged with conspiracy in the US. Ten of their comrades were already convicted in plea deals, including Luis Francisco Mora, 32, who took a last-minute plea deal at the start of the trial.
The jury found White guilty of felony conspiracy to riot, the most serious charge, and acquitted him of felony assault of a man on a bicycle who was documenting the Antifa rioters with his cell phone. Lightfoot, accused of being one of the "ringleaders" of the riot, was found guilty of conspiracy to riot and five felony unlawful uses of teargas.
BACKGROUND
On Jan. 9, 2021, cars full of black-clad So Cal Antifa members traveled more than a hundred miles to Pacific Beach armed with weapons and protective gear to confront Trump supporters who had organized a rally. The "direct action" quickly devolved into a riot as the masked Antifa members bear-maced and assaulted their targets, including those just walking by on the boardwalk. A dog wearing a "service dog" vest and his walker were among those attacked. Prosecutors identified 18 victims including a woman and teenage schoolboys.
The verdict on Friday, May 3, brings the total to 12 for 12 charged So Cal Antifa members who were convicted of violent mostly peaceful felonies.
Eleven suspects, about half from Los Angeles County, were indicted in 2022 by a secret grand jury on dozens of felonies including conspiracy to riot, assault and other violent mostly peaceful crimes. Alexander Akridge-Jacobs, 33, Jesse Merel Cannon, 33, Joseph Austin Gaskins, 23, Christian Martinez, 25, Samuel Howard Ogden, 26, Bryan Rivera, 22, Faraz Martin Talab, 29, Erich Yach, 40, and Luis Francisco Mora, 32, have all pleaded guilty.
A 12th co-conspirator, Jonah Abraham Bigel, pleaded guilty in 2021 to assault with a deadly weapon after having used a baseball bat in the riot. He was given a suspended prison sentence, which is sometimes offered for cooperation in an investigation. Within six months, into the following year, his comrades were indicted by a secret grand jury. Most of the co-defendants who accepted plea deals still await sentencing; they are expected to be sentenced to prison. Two defendants, trans activist Erich "Nikki" Yach and Jesse Merel Cannon were already sentenced to around five years in prison each; their sentences were compounded by other violent mostly peaceful felony crimes committed in unrelated cases.
THE TRIAL
Since April 2, prosecutors have presented evidence against defendants White and Lightfoot; this included hours of riot video, recovered encrypted Signal messages, private texts, aerial video from a police helicopter, photographs, and testimony from victims and law enforcement witnesses.
"I hadn't seen a group that coordinated," San Diego Police detective Emily Clark testified in the first week of trial.
Honorable Judge Daniel B. Goldstein heard the trial. At times, the judge admonished defense attorneys for repeatedly trying to bring politics into the case, especially in trying to explore the political beliefs of the alleged assault victims. But the jury deadlocked, they could not come to a unanimous decision on the assault charges, so it was declared "mis-trial" on those counts.
Lead prosecutor Makenzie Harvey showed jurors the armored black costume and mask worn by White at the riot, even though he claimed to be a volunteer "medic." White was armed with bear mace, a knife and a taser. White was known by several monikers online where he called himself "the Antifa Soldier," and "ACABman"; his co-defendant Lightfoot used "Antifa commander" as one of his aliases.
White and Lightfoot were represented pro-bono by Bay-area leftist activist attorneys Curtis Briggs and John Hamas ...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... aki, respectively. Throughout the trial, defense attorneys suggested to jurors that assault victims provoked violence by appearing to be "right-wing turbans" to their attackers, because of the way the victims were dressed, e.g., in khaki pants or by wearing American flag apparel, and therefore their clients' actions were lawful self-defense.
White said he has been a leftist activist for nearly a decade, going back to Bernie Sanders ...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being an Independent socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around... ' presidential primary campaign in 2015. He said he then became involved with Black Lives Matter in Los Angeles, and he participated in protests "probably" twice a week from 2019.
Under questioning by prosecutor Harvey, White said he began his involvement with "Antifa" in Los Angeles in late September 2020, when many cities in the country were experiencing deadly and violent mostly peaceful riots after Saint George Floyd ...The patron saint of Minneapolis... 's death. However, Switzerland makes more than cheese... he added: "There is no joining [Antifa], it is just a mindset of your personal relationship to fascism ...a political system developed in Italy, symbolized by the Roman fasces -- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. Its distinguishing philosophical feature is the Corporate State. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of people who have no idea what they're talking about... ." White said that opponents of Antifa are "fascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... s." On former President Trump, he said that "support for Trump is textbook fascism."
WHAT IS ANTIFA?
Defense often argued throughout the trial that Antifa is not organized. However, Switzerland makes more than cheese... Antifa organizes around an ideology of anarchist communism and it can manifest as radicalized individuals taking direct action or groups of people who form a cell, sometimes with formalized membership, such as Rose City Antifa in Portland, Ore. So Cal Antifa is the regional cluster of multiple Antifa groups from Los Angeles, Long Beach and San Diego.
"I was going down there to attend a First Amendment protest in support of BLM," White said, regarding his role in the riot in January 2021. "BLM and Antifa share a lot of common ideologies and movement spaces," he explained. He said he was driven from Los Angeles with comrade Lightfoot by "Chip Nooo," the alias of Portland Antifa member Robert Sneed. White admitted he handed out yellow walkie-talkies to both Sneed and Lightfoot, and White kept one, so they could all communicate and coordinate during the action at the beach.
White claimed he didn't know Lightfoot's real name and had seen him "possibly four or five" times at previous direct actions. Antifa members are known to one another by aliases, a tactic to prevent them from learning the true identities of members.

James Parra, a fifth-grade paraprofessional at Brooklyn Arbor in Williamsburg who called Israel a "racist" and "terrorist" state, shared his ouster on social media Wednesday.
"After 8 years of dedicated service and after 6 months of doxxing and harassment and Zionist parents making themselves the victims, my superintendent just a few moments ago terminated me from my position," Parra, 27, wrote on Instagram. The heart bleeds.
"F—k these Zionists and f—k these administrators who are complicit and sympathizers with Zionism and genocide," he added with a photo of himself wearing a keffiyeh while a child hugs him. [Burp!]
Parra received a summons on April 22 for refusing to move from outside the campus gates at a pro-Paleostine protest. Or maybe it's just the chili.
The former one-on-one special-ed paraprofessional attended LaGuardia Community College and Hunter College, according to LinkedIn and a GoFundMe he started to raise tuition money.

[NYPOST] One of the most violent mostly peaceful leaders of the Columbia University riots is allegedly a professional agitator and limousine liberal — the scion of millionaire ad execs who lives in a $3.4 million Brooklyn brownstone, has a model babymama and a stepmom dating John Cougar Mellencamp.
James Carlson, aka Cody Carlson, aka Cody Tarlow, is "a longtime anarchist," a high-ranking police source said.
He bought his 2,893-square-foot, three-story brownstone with four wood-burning fireplaces and a carriage house in Park Slope in 2019 for $2.3 million, according to property records and online listings.
The provocateur, who has arrests dating back to 2005, is one of three children of prominent advertising execs Richard "Dick" Tarlow and his wife, Sandy Carlson Tarlow.
Dick Tarlow, died in 2022 at age 81 with an estate worth at least $20 million, court papers show.
The Shelter Island resident was known for his work with Revlon, Ralph Lauren, Cuisinart and Pottery Barn.
He was a loyal supporter of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and helped underwrite the school’s John Jay Justice Awards.
Sandy Carlson Tarlow, who died in 2003 at age 59, was known for defining the "public face of Ralph Lauren," according to her obituary.
By the time she and her husband sold her namesake firm, Carlson & Partners, to DDB in 2001 for an undisclosed amount, the company had more than 100 employees and was doing $165 million in business.
Dick Tarlow and his second wife — Carlson’s stepmom, Kristin Kehrberg — lived together in a $15 million Fifth Avenue mansion.
The widow is now dating John Cougar Mellencamp, Page Six reported last summer.
Carlson, 40, appears to have two children, including one with a model, blonde bombshell Kim Heyrman.
The four-bedroom, four-bath townhouse Carlson owns is currently being renovated, workers told The Post Friday. The property boasts a large garden with a deck and skylights.
Estranged relatives of Carlson refused to discuss him.
"We don’t talk to him. Leave us alone. He is out of our lives for so many years," a woman who answered the phone at his sister’s home said Friday.

[GEO.TV] Security forces neutralised six forces of Evil after a shootout during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) North Wazoo district, the military's media wing said on Saturday.
The IBO was conducted on the night between May 3 and 4 by the security forces on the reported presence of forces of Evil in the area, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
During the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between the troops and the terrorists, as a result of which six forces of Evil were "sent to hell". Terrorists’ hideout was also busted during the operation, the statement read.
The killed forces of Evil remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as murders of innocent civilians in the area.
"A sanitisation operation is being conducted in the area by the security forces, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country," it concluded.
Security forces on Thursday killed forces of Evil involved in the recent abduction of district and sessions judge of South Waziristan joint IBO in KP's Tank district, the ISPR had said in a statement.
"During the conduct of the operation, after intense fire exchange, three forces of Evil were successfully neutralised and sent to hell," the statement added.
The ISPR had identified the forces of Evil as ringleader Azmat alias Azmati, ringleader Karamat alias Hanzla and Rehan. Rehan was bumped off a few days ago too. And twice in February.

These key findings were revealed in the Q1 2024 Security Report issued by Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), detailing that the country witnessed at least 432 violence-linked fatalities and 370 injuries among civilians, security personnel and outlaws resulting from as many as 245 incidents of terror attacks and counter-terror operations.
Among the 432 fatalities, 281 included that of civilians and security forces personnel.

"Yesterday (Friday), a launch that was identified crossing from the area of Khan Yunis toward Kibbutz Ein HaShlosha fell near the security fence area in the southern Gaza Strip. Shortly after, IAF fighter jets struck terror targets adjacent to a launch site in the area of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip," the Israeli military disclosed in a press release Saturday.
The IDF guided the Gaza civilians away from the target ahead of the strike, even at the cost of losing the element of surprise.
"Additionally, IAF aircraft struck a loaded mortar launcher ready to fire toward IDF troops in the central Gaza Strip. Furthermore, in the southern Gaza Strip, after the IDF confirmed the evacuation of civilians located near the area, IAF fighter jets struck rocket launchers aimed to launch toward Israel in the southern Gaza Strip," the press statement added.
The incident took place in Khan Yunis, a town couple of miles from Rafah — the last remaining Hamas stronghold in Gaza. The IDF is setting up a massive tent city in the area to accommodate civilian evacuees from Rafah ahead of an impending military operation aimed at freeing the hostages and eliminating Hamas’s Gaza-based terrorist leadership.
At least 10 people were hurt in a barrage of some 14 rockets and mortars was fired at Kerem Shalom crossing between Israel and Gaza from the Rafah area on Sunday, in what is considered an unusual incident that comes after months of fighting in the Gaza Strip.
