[SUDANTRIBUNE] The Sudanese army announced on Sunday it was tightening its siege on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) inside the national Radio and Television Corporation headquarters in Omdurman, the twin city of Khartoum.
Fierce fighting has erupted between the two sides for ten months over control of strategic sites in the city. During, recent weeks, the army changed its tactic as its troops now attack the RFS seeking to defeat them and retake their positions in Khartoum state particularly.
The RSF, a paramilitary force that previously was part of the army, has been stationed at the corporation’s headquarters for security purposes. However, following the outbreak of conflict in April 2023, they seized control of several strategic sites, including the official Radio TV buildings in Omdurman.
In a brief statement Sunday, the army claimed that the Rapid Support Forces had engaged in a “mass escape” near the radio station, possibly indicating the imminent collapse of their defences.
The army also published drone footage showing its troops close to the corporation’s headquarters.
Military sources reported the deployment of special forces in recent days to neighbourhoods surrounding the Radio and Television buildings, including Abu Ruf, Bayt al-Mal, and Al-Mulazmeen.
On Sunday, Colonel Ibrahim Al-Houri, a military spokesperson, stated on Facebook that the army had encircled the RSF forces stationed within the site, offering them the option to surrender or face further confrontation.
The army’s strategy prioritizes besieging the RSF stationed at the radio and television headquarters. This approach aims to minimize casualties on both sides, as the headquarters house a significant number of regular army prisoners held by the RSF, and also contain irreplaceable historical archives of the national broadcasting stations.
The capture of Omdurman could significantly impact the RSF’s ability to maintain control in other parts of Khartoum and Al-Jazirah states where military operations are taking place.
In related developments, the Sudanese army released videos showing its troops, for the first time, making new advances in the Ombada suburb, located in western Omdurman.
Separate military reports detail airstrikes destroying 56 vehicles in the far north, allegedly carrying weapons and ammunition from Libya.

Separately in Mudug region, the allied forces conducted another operation in Farah-Adan in Harardhere district of Mudug region. An unconfirmed number of forces of Evil were also killed.
[AFRICANEWS] A Tunisian court on Saturday sentenced opposition figure Jawher Ben Mbarek to six months in prison after being convicted of conspiring against state security.
The news of Mbarek's sentencing was confirmed by his lawyer and sister.
Mbarek is a fierce critic of President Kais Saied. He was arrested in 2023 after he criticized the 2022 parliamentary election.
His lawyer criticized the sentencing saying Mbarek was not given a chance to defend himself.
A lawyer himself, Mbarek founded the 'Citizens Against the Coup' movement in 2021 following a power grab by President Saied.
Eected in October 2019 for a five-year mandate, Saied suspended parlaiment in July 2021, effectively giving himself absolute powers.
He defended his actions as necessary to fight corruption and to end a political impasse gripping the north African country then caught in the middle of the deadly coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. Saied has since grown more authoritarian, jailing activists, opposition figures, businessmen and judges.
Nigerian Port Terminal Operator, Dock Worker Arrested Over Ammunition, 1,044kg Cocaine, ‘Colorado’ In Containers Imported From South Africa | Sahara Reporters https://t.co/DumbbvQvXspic.twitter.com/xByJC9W7Xr
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has begun to unmask members of an organized criminal network behind the recent importation of two containers laden with illicit drugs as well as a pistol and ammunition from Durban, South Africa to the Tincan seaport in Lagos.
A statement signed by Femi Babafemi, NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, said, "Among those already arrested as members of the syndicate are: a clearing and notify party of the two containers, Falowo Samuel Kayode; a dock worker, Anjorin Idowu and Uzairu Ahmed Iguda who is in charge of the Five Star terminal at the port.
"Another dock worker at the terminal, Mohammed Muktar Sule (alias organizer) who is equally linked to the syndicate is currently on the lam.
"Based on credible intelligence, the Agency had requested for a 100 percent joint examination of two containers marked MSCU 4581770 and TRHU 7968071 from South Africa. As a result, the exercise was conducted with other stakeholders on 18th and 19th of January, 2024 during which 56.39kg cocaine and 795kg Colorado, a synthetic strong strain of cannabis
…I wondered what Colorado meant in this context Now we all know.…
among other illegal items were recovered from the containers.
"Following a tasking order by the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (Retd) to a combined team of specialized units of the agency to unravel those behind the importation of the large consignments of the illicit drugs, ongoing investigations have led to the discovery of more bags of Colorado weighing 192.7kg, a pistol, and rounds of ammunition removed from the container, MSCU 4581770 and hidden in an empty container before the 100 percent joint examination at the Five Star terminal.
"As a result, two suspects: Uzairu Ahmed Iguda who is in charge of the terminal’s container positioning and stacking, and Anjorin Idowu who is a dock worker in the terminal have been arrested.
"Another suspect, Mohammed Muktar Sule (alias organizer) now on the lam, is also a dock worker in the terminal. Investigations reveal that the three suspects conspired with the agent and notify party, Falowo Samuel Kayode to remove the 192.7kg Colorado, pistol and rounds of ammunition from the container to an empty container in the terminal.
"The latest seizure brings the total recovered from the two containers to 56.39kg of cocaine and 987.9kg of Colorado with a combined weight of 1,044.29kg. Investigations have also revealed three kingpins believed to be based in South Africa and connected with the importation of the containers. They include: Odeyemi Taiwo Emmanuel; Akinyemi Olayinka and Adebayo Adewole Emmanuel who are now on the Agency’s wanted list."

"The Naval Forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces conducted a military operation targeting the American oil tanker Torm Thor in the Gulf of Aden with several appropriate naval missiles," stated Armed Forces Spokesman Yahya Sare’e in an early Sunday statement.
"Additionally, the Air Force targeted a number of American warships in the Red Sea with several drones," Sare’e added.
He emphasized that the strikes were a response to the "plight of the Paleostinian people."
The operations were also intended "as part of the response to the US-British aggression on our country," Sare’e stated, referring to the violent mostly peaceful and often deadly attacks carried out by the United States and the UK against various targets across Yemen in reaction to the pro-Paleostinian strikes.
The Yemeni forces have vowed to continue their operations as long as the regime persists in the war and the accompanying siege imposed on Gaza.

Under NO circumstances shoukd Japan allow muslim migration or any migration
The last first world hold-outs are a beacon for how lovely a place is to live, how unique, without being overrun by other people
Japan’s high-trust and gentle society would be uniquely hurt by the muslim colonists

Japan has a very vigorous prison system. They also still hang people and condemned prisoners do NOT know their execution date. They simply come get you, take you to the room and on goes the rope.
I suspect the invaders will find new places they'd rather be.

An anarchist group has grabbed credit for last week’s attempted kaboom against a senior judge in Greece, raising fears of a resurgence of violence by radical holy warriors.
Explosives experts defused the parcel bomb that was placed at a courthouse in the northern city of Thessaloniki and addressed to the judge.
In an online post, a previously unheard of group, called Armed Response, grabbed credit for the attempted attack. It named the judge it had targeted and vowed to step up attacks against the judiciary in solidarity with jugged Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try! fellow holy warriors.
"Just as easily as the parcel bomb reached her office, our bullets can find their target," the statement said.

[DM] Surveillance footage captured the moment a gunman wielding an automatic weapon unleashed a hail of bullets on a blacked-out BMW in suburban Vancouver.
The early morning shooting occurred at around 12:25 am PT on Thursday in Metro Vancouver's White Rock, and left four men hospitalized in serious condition.
The video, obtained by Radio Punjab, provides a glimpse into the chaotic events that transpired as a gunman on foot opens fire at a driver seemingly attempting to exit a parking lot, leaving the SUV riddled with bullets on the driver's side.
The incident appears to be targeted, though the authorities are yet to identify the suspects, according to White Rock RCMP Constable Chantal Sears.
'There were definitely multiple rounds fired but we don't know if there was one shooter or multiple shooters at this time,' Sears told CBC.
Multiple witnesses alerted the authorities when they heard the sound of gunfire and a subsequent vehicle collision near the intersection of Roper Avenue and Lee Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement found the four injured men alongside a black BMW SUV, riddled with bullets, which had collided with a fence and hedge.
Shortly after the shooting, a potential suspect vehicle was found engulfed in flames in neighboring Surrey, B.C, however, Sears noted that a definitive link has not yet been established.
The four injured victims are expected to survive, Sears told the outlet.
Various law enforcement agencies are assisting in the ongoing investigation - including White Rock RCMP, the Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Services, the Integrated Forensic Identification Services, Surrey RCMP, and the Surrey Police Service.
This comes as as authorities in British Columbia announced the dismantling of a major criminal organization involved in the manufacturing and distribution of fentanyl-laced counterfeit pharmaceuticals - in a separate development.
Eight men with ties to organized crime were arrested in Metro Vancouver communities such as Surrey, Richmond, and Delta, one of which was later connected to a gang-related murder plot.
Last year, the province of British Columbia— which includes Vancouver — announced the start of a three-year experiment to decriminalize all hard drugs.
And they were so surprised when the result was exactly what the sensible would have predicted.
Health officials have said it was meant to break down the ‘barriers and stigma’ of drug addiction and reduce the rising number of fatal overdoses by ensuring that drug users can access ‘pure’ supplies safely manufactured by pharmaceutical companies.
Health officials there are clearly the kind of idiots that require advanced degrees to become.
Some 14,000 people have died from fatal overdoses in British Columbia — currently an average of five a day — since the province, which has a population of 5.3 million, declared a public health emergency in 2016.
In 2021, fentanyl — which dealers mix into other drugs because it is cheap and incredibly strong — was involved in 87 per cent of these deaths. In Vancouver alone, at least 2,200 addicts live in tents.
Unfortunately, it’s evolution in action in response to China deploying drug addition as a weapon against America/North America.
[Jpost] Forces of Division 162, along with the Nahal Brigade's combat team and engineering forces, unearthed an underground tunnel network that connects the north and south of the Gaza Strip, the military announced on Monday.
The underground routes run for some 10 km and pass under a hospital and a university.
After gaining operational control of the network, IDF soldiers examined it and destroyed large portions of it.
The underground routes connected the Turkish hospital bordering the camps in the center of the Strip to the Israa University building in the south of Gaza City, reaching as far as the area of Zeitoun.

Amid the operation at the medical center in Khan Younis, the IDF found sealed boxes of medication with the names of Israeli hostages on them, as well as several weapons belonging to Hamas ...a regional Iranian catspaw,... operatives.
Of the 200 suspects who were detained, many were members of terror groups, had been involved in the October 7 onslaught, and had links to the hostages held by Hamas, according to the IDF.
Israeli hostages were previously held at the site, according to testimonies from released captives and interrogated terror suspects.
The IDF says the operation, carried out by the 98th Division, Shayetet 13 naval commando unit, and COGAT’s Coordination and Liaison Administration for Gaza, was "conducted to ensure minimal disruption to the hospital’s ongoing activities and without harming patients and medical staff."
Troops delivered a replacement generator after the hospital’s generator stopped functioning during the operation, though the IDF says "all the vital systems of the hospital continued to operate on an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) throughout the operational activity."
The IDF also says it "coordinated the entry of professional officials to examine the electricity problem in the hospital" and enabled a fuel tank to be delivered to the premises to keep the generator running.
Food, water, medical supplies, and infant formula were also delivered to Nasser Hospital with IDF coordination, it says.
Several critically ill patients were transferred out of the hospital to other medical centers, "at the request of the hospital staff and in cooperation with the international community," the IDF says.
"The IDF will continue to operate in accordance with international law against the Hamas terrorist organization, which systematically operates from hospitals and civilian infrastructure," the military adds.

[GEO.TV] World Food Programme (WFP) Director for Emergencies Samer Abdeljaber has said that there is enough food stocked up across Gaza’s borders to feed the entire population, but it cannot safely reach the war-torn population due to the violence and extensive security checks by the Israeli oppressor forces.
Abdeljaber said: “We have enough food across the borders, even from Jordan and Egypt, to be able to support 2.2 million people.”
“But we need to make sure we have the right access to Gaza from different crossings so that we can actually reach the people – whether they are in the north or the south or in the central areas.”
“Safe routes is one of our requirements to continue assistance to the north and that can only be guaranteed if that is a speedy process,” the UN official added.

[BenarNews] A judge on Wednesday ordered Thailand’s corrections system to provide two Uyghur terrorism suspects with the Halal food they have been requesting for years, as the pair appeared in court visibly emaciated and in wheelchairs. Defendants Adem Karadag
…the name on his Turkish passport — for a while Turkey took an interest in the case. He is also known as Bilal Mohammed…
and Yusufu Mieraili are accused of carrying out the Aug. 17, 2015, bombing at the Erawan Shrine
…it contains a four-faced golden statue of the Hindu god Brahma; it’s sacred to Thailand’s Buddhists, and of great interest to foreing tourists…
in central Bangkok that killed 20 people and injured scores more, just weeks after Thai authorities forcibly sent almost 100 Uyghur Moslems to China. They have been in jug since their arrests within two weeks of the attack.
Mieraili shared that "he, at 35, and Karadag, at 39, have significantly deteriorated in health, losing over 10 kg [22 pounds] due to stomach pains and chronic bloating caused by poor living conditions and inconvenient meal arrangements."
The pair — the only two inmates housed at a temporary detention center within a military zone — would skip some meals because they were not provided Halal food as per Islamic principles.
"For three years, they didn’t provide us Halal food. We told them we don’t eat pork, yet they still served it to us, claiming there was no pork. When we ate, we found minced pork and chicken blood. We can’t eat that. We wanted them to arrange proper meals for us," Mieraili told the judge.
His statement proved effective.
"The court will instruct the Department of Corrections to ensure that prisoners are provided food according to their religious rights. Religion is a delicate matter, and a letter will be sent to the prison to arrange Halal food for the defendants as they are entitled," the judge ruled.
Karadag and Mieraili made similar requests for Halal food during court appearances in January 2022 and again in August 2023 — the last time they appeared in court. They returned to the Bangkok court on Tuesday and are expected to attend hearings through Friday.
Since being taken into custody, Mieraili has become fluent in Thai and is able to communicate with his lawyer and interact with prison officials. In court, he served as an interpreter for Karadag who is less proficient in Thai.
"Karadag had to have seven teeth extracted recently and now wears dentures. He has been unable to walk for over six months due to lack of strength, experiencing dizziness upon standing. I had to undergo hernia surgery last week and have been advised by the hospital to remain for another two weeks. Currently, Adem is the only one in the temporary military prison," Mieraili told BenarNews before the court session began.
On Wednesday, defense lawyer Choochat Kanphai said the pair wanted to be transferred from the temporary detention center to the Bangkok Special Prison because they thought living conditions and food would be better, but he was told that such requests were beyond the court’s jurisdiction.
Before court, the attorney spoke to BenarNews about the slow pace of the trial.
"With 50 witnesses already examined out of a list of approximately 100, we expect the verdict could be read next year," Choochat said.
TRIAL HISTORY
Following their arrests, Karadag and Mieraili saw their trial begin in a military court only to have the case transferred to the Southern Bangkok Criminal Court. This shift occurred after Prayuth Chan-o-cha, the army general who became prime minister after leading a military coup in 2014, was formally elected into office in 2019.
The defendants, who identified as Uyghurs from Urumqi in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) in China, pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." in both the military and civilian courts. They could face execution if convicted of charges, which include premeditated killing and possession of explosives.
Chalida Tajaroensuk, director of the People’s Empowerment Foundation, has been monitoring the case over the years and said the likelihood of reaching a verdict in the near future had improved.
"The case has made progress, and it seems that the court is genuinely intent on concluding the case promptly. Orders were given for the prosecution and defense to eliminate unnecessary witnesses," Chalida said.
"The defense’s rigorous questioning aimed at proving discrepancies between actual physical evidence and passport information has raised hopes that both defendants could be acquitted. However, there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... everything ultimately depends on the court’s judgment."
She expressed her hope for increased attention from civil society and the international community regarding the future of the two if they are acquitted.
"The concern is what happens next for them if they are released. If China seeks their repatriation, it becomes problematic given their decade-long struggle," she said. "We need to collectively consider how to handle this situation, including the possibility of another country offering them asylum, which could ensure their safety."
[An Nahar] Hezbollah on Saturday said it fired two heavy-caliber Burkan rockets at a gathering of Israeli troops on the Cobra Hill in northern Israel, achieving a "direct hit."
It later said that it targeted a group of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Dhayra military post, also achieving a "direct hit."
Israeli warplanes meanwhile targeted a house in the southern border town of Blida and ambulances were scrambling to the site, TV networks said.
Israeli artillery shelling also hit the southern border town of Kfarkela.
Israeli army front man Avichay Adraee meanwhile said that Israeli warplanes had overnight struck Hezbollah "launchpads and infrastructure" in the Blat mountain area.
"An observation post belonging to the organization was also targeted in the Aita al-Shaab area, as the IDF (Israeli army) shelled targets in the Hanine and Marwahine areas to eliminate possible threats," Adraee added.
Since October, at least 276 people have been killed on the Lebanese side of the border, most of them Hezbollah fighters but also including 44 civilians. On the Israeli side, 10 soldiers and six civilians have been killed, according to the Israeli army.
The fighting has also displaced tens of thousands of residents on both sides of the border and Israel has repeatedly warned that it might use bigger force against Hezbollah to secure its residents' return.
That’s the view from Lebanon, where they must love Hezbollah, no matter their real feelings on the subject. Israel sees things a bit differently:
[IsraelTimes] Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says Israel will increase its strikes on Hezbollah in response to its daily attacks on northern Israel, including amid a potential temporary ceasefire in the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip.
"We are planning to increase the firepower against Hezbollah, which is unable to find replacements for the commanders we are eliminating," Gallant says during a visit to the IDF Northern Command headwaters in Safed.
"In the event of a temporary truce in Gaza, we will increase the fire in the north, and will continue until the full withdrawal of Hezbollah [from the border] and the return of the residents to their homes," he says, referring to some 80,000 Israelis displaced by Hezbollah’s attacks.
"The goal is simple — to push Hezbollah back to where it should be. Either by agreement, or we will do it by force," Gallant adds.
Earlier in the day, the IDF said it struck a Hezbollah cell that was spotted coming out of a building known to be used by the terror group in the south Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... town of Blida.
Another two buildings were struck by fighter jets in the same area, the IDF added.
The IDF also said that it had earlier intercepted a "suspicious aerial target" that entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon, in the Galilee panhandle.
It also shelled rocket launch sites in south Lebanon following attacks on Mount Dov, Kiryat Shmona, Menara and Malkia.
Hezbollah said that four of its bad boyz were potted in the Israeli strikes on Sunday, bringing the group’s corpse count since the beginning of the war in Gazoo to 214.

[An Nahar] A court in Cyprus has ordered two men to remain in police custody for six days on suspicion of people smuggling. The men were identified as the drivers of two boats that brought 146 Syrian refugees and one Lebanese migrant to the east Mediterranean island nation.
Police said the suspects are Lebanese nationals aged 19 and 21.
According to police, the refugees said during questioning that they departed from the Lebanese city of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... on Thursday, Feb. 22 and each paid $2,500 for a place aboard the boats.
One boat carried 30 people, including 6 women and 11 minors. Aboard the second boat were 117 people, including 8 women and 17 minors. Police spotted both vessels Saturday afternoon off Cape Greco on the island's southeastern tip.
All the migrants colonists were escorted ashore and later taken to a migrant reception center just outside the capital Nicosia.
The President of Cyprus said earlier this month that the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... won't serve its own best interests if it doesn't consider designating some parts of Syria as safe zones so refugees and migrants colonists can return there.
President Nikos Christodoulides said Cyprus is working with like-minded EU member nations to start a discussion about that goal to help alleviate the pressure that Mediterranean countries receiving the most refugees and migrants colonists are under.
Interior Minister Constantinos Ioannou told the state broadcaster Saturday that Cypriot authorities have reached out to Europol to help patrol the Lebanese coastline to prevent migrant departures.
Although 37% fewer migrants colonists reached Cyprus last year compared to the year before, official figures show migrant arrivals by boat from Syria and Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... increased 355% — 4,259 in 2023 as compared to 937 in 2022.

[An Nahar] Hezbollah announced launching two fresh attacks on Israeli military posts on Sunday morning.
In a statement, the group said it targeted with missiles a gathering of Israeli troops near the Ramim barracks, achieving "direct hits."
In another statement, Hezbollah said it fired two Falaq-1 missiles at the Zibdine barracks in the occupied Shebaa Farms.
The Israeli army meanwhile fired artillery shells at the outskirts of the southern border town of Aita al-Shaab.
Hezbollah also mourned two more of its fighters, saying they were killed "on the road to Jerusalem," a phrase referring to fighters killed in Israeli strikes.
Media reports meanwhile said that the two fighters were likely killed in an Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... on a truck in Syria’s Qusayr.
Hezbollah had announced 10 attacks on Israeli posts on Saturday, saying they were in support of Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... and in response to attacks on Lebanese towns and civilian homes.
