Store clerk Suraj can be seen trying to wrestle with 38-year-old Kendall Burton, who is homeless
The footage shows Suraj's head consumed by flames as a co-worker tried to help
The attack took place at the Appian Food and Liquor in El Sobrante in Oakland
Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office told CBS News that the 38-year-old is facing charges including assault with a deadly weapon, battery, arson and robbery and is being held without bail.
The county's district attorney is Diana Becton - a progressive whose 2022 election campaign was funded by George Soros to the tune of $1 million. Crime has surged in the county, with burglaries rising by a third, while car thefts jumped by a fifth and rapes soared by 7.5 percent the same year.
Neighboring Alameda County - which includes Oakland - has seen huge spikes in crime, with an effort to recall progressive DA Pamela Price underway.
It is a similar story across the Bay Bridge in San Francisco, where ultra-progressive DA Chesa Boudin was booted from office last year by voters unhappy with his track record on tackling crime.
Meanwhile, Suraj's wife Sabeena said that there's still a long road to recovery for her husband and is raising funds for his physical and mental care after the ordeal.
Sabeena started a fundraiser hoping for $100,000 in donations but despite hundreds hoping to help out is still a long way from that goal.
In a post to the GoFundMe she outlined the 'horrific work place incident' that landed her husband Suraj in the care of San Francisco's Saint Francis Memorial Hospital.

And now nobody will risk anything to stop the crime, more businesses will shut down, and the last people with money will leave.
At that point big money liberals that are in on the plan will buy up all the vacant super-cheap land, Lock up the criminals and oust the homeless and restore San Francisco.
Security footage reveals the fearlessness of gangs targeting the state's retailers
Comes as 12 counties launch a last-ditch bid to prevent pandemic era zero-bail policy being reintroduced warning it is a 'threat to public safety'
But Democrat Governor Gavin Newsome insists the policy will 'root out racial inequity and structural bias'
Police said the four are thought to be a part of an organized retail crime group which has stolen around $11,000 in previous raids on Nike stores in Irvine, Carlsbad and San Clemente
Video shows Tanner Cook harassing delivery driver Alan Colie at Virginia mall
Colie can be seen pulling out a gun and shooting the YouTuber in lower chest
But last week, Colie, who has a license to carry a concealed weapon, was found not guilty of aggravated malicious wounding in the shooting after he said he was acting in self defense.
He was found guilty on a lesser charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling but a judge will hear arguments to set aside this conviction at a hearing next month after his lawyer appealed against it. If found guilty of this lesser firearms count, he faces up to ten years in prison.
One of Colie's defense attorneys Adam Pouilliard said that his client felt menaced by the 6 foot 4 inches tall Cook during the confrontation, which was designed to provoke a reaction and to draw viewers to his YouTube channel.
He spoke from his hospital bed at the time of the incident and said he was just playing a joke on Colie.
'I was playing a prank and a simple practical joke, and this guy didn't take it very well,' he told WUSA9.
Cook also insisted the incident will not deter him from continuing to make videos and has posted three videos since.
At a preliminary hearing, sheriff's deputies testified that they were well aware of Cook and have received calls about previous stunts.
Cook acknowledged during cross-examination on Tuesday that mall security had tossed him out the day prior to the shooting as he tried to record pranks, and that he was trying to avoid security the day he targeted Colie.
Cook said he continues to make the videos, from which he earns $2,000 to $3,000 a month.

Wonder if Alphabet(Google, YouTube) can be held liable for hosting of possible violent events?
It's the same rationale that they use to silence conservative speech for possible violence.

Cook is why we no longer have nice things. That isn't a prank, that is harassing people past a point of comfort by relying on manners and the law to keep his doughy ass from getting kicked. Bet you a jar of bacon grease all of his targets are not intimidating physically. "Let's go get that stoner looking guy." when he is really runs door dash to sketchy neighborhoods.
And yes, two dudes following me around within arms reach making unhinged retard face gets a promo on The FAFO Show.

Sue Cook for not getting a model release signed. Sue YouTube, TikTok, etc. for letting people profit off videos like this where they didn't get a model release signed.

Organs? I heard Pakistan is having a sale.

The vic was a delivery driver. Maybe carrying cash, maybe robbed before. Maybe with the street smarts to recognize when something is going down, something you don't want any part of.
It may be microscopic, but I feel the Universe is more in balance.

Just thinking out loud... "Idiots Getting Themselves Killed" could make for a pretty popular Youtube channel. Suggested catchphrase: "And that's how he done kilt his fool self"
Probably violates the Terms of Service or something.
[Post Millenial] Josh Kruger, a leftist journalist and activist who was based in Philadelphia, was shot and killed inside his home on Monday. Kruger had a long history of downplaying violent crime in the city, often openly mocking those who expressed concerns about homicides in Philadelphia.
The 39-year-old Kruger was shot seven times at a residence in the 2300 block of Watkins Street around 1:30 am Monday, reports 6 ABC.
No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
Kruger was known for being openly far-left in his views, as was vehemently against political views that did not align with his own.
"I'm f*ckin done with it, straight people," Kruger complained. "They should have never given you people the right to marry."
Kruger had a history of being against the police; the leftist journalist brought up Philadelphia's shootings unit and homicide detectives in the context of if one "want[s] to talk about doing nothing."
He was also viciously against former President Donald Trump. Kruger claimed that "racism" is the only reason Trump had ever become president, and that it is "the only through line in the frenetic ideology of Trumpism."
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner described Kruger as an "openly queer writer who wrote about his own journey surviving substance use disorder and homelessness."
He was also recognized by the LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee, who called him a "comrade" who "never stopped advocating for queer Philadelphians living on the margins of society."
"His struggles mirrored so many of ours - from community rejection, to homelessness, to addiction, to living with HIV, to poverty - and his recovery, survival, and successes showed what's possible when politicians and elected leaders reject bigotry and work affirmatively to uplift all people," the Committee said of Kruger.

There is a lot of pointing and laughing, but I'd bet the happiest people are the professionals and social contacts who spent time around him daily. Like blood pressure down 10% happy.
[Breitbart] A private law firm released a controversial video showing a top politician in northern Mexico openly talking about using government funds to buy the allegiance of state congressmen. The video is part of a private investigation by the law firm representing a former governor from Tamaulipas. The governor claims to be the target of political persecution and that the current government turned the state over to criminal organizations.
This week, representatives from the Coello, Trejo, and Associates law firm released a video showing Ricardo Gamundi, a top political operator and former politician from Tamaulipas, having dinner with an unknown woman and one of his associates as they talk about his political work. Gamundi has been investigated for his role as a close advisor to former Tamaulipas Governor Eugenio Hernandez Flores. The former governor is currently wanted by the U.S. Department of Justice on money laundering charges.
[Gateway] In recent news, Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow and a staunch supporter of President Trump and conservative politics, revealed that his company is under IRS audit for allegedly employing workers illegally.
This comes on the heels of his recent challenges, including his bank accounts closure, his factory equipment being auctioned off, networks refusing to air his commercials, multiple defamation lawsuits filed against him, and credit reductions from American Express, all because of his political beliefs rather than any genuine issues related to his business practices.
The Gateway Pundit reported last week that American Express has slashed the credit line of Mike Lindell’s MyPillow by a staggering 90%. This comes after a 15-year partnership between the two companies.
According to Lindell, American Express reduced MyPillow’s credit line from a million dollars to a mere $100,000 without any prior notice or explanation. This abrupt decision has severely impacted the company’s operations, particularly its online marketing and shipping activities.
[WashingtonExaminer] Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) has selected political strategist Laphonza Butler to replace the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein in the Senate, according to multiple sources.
Butler is the president of EMILY's List, the self-described "nation's largest resource dedicated to electing Democratic pro-choice women to office," and a longtime labor leader in the Golden State. Newsom's decision passes over Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Barbara Lee (D-CA), and Katie Porter (D-CA), the favorites to win Feinstein's seat during next year's election.
Feinstein's term was slated to end in 2024, and Newsom had long implied he was only searching for an interim replacement. However, Newsom's office confirmed to the Washington Examiner on Sunday that there will not be a "precondition" that this replacement is in the Senate only temporarily, setting Butler to potentially be a roadblock in the way of Schiff, Lee, and Porter's election prospects.
Feinstein died on Friday at the age of 90. Butler reacted to the news on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Likely "selected" months, possibly years ago. A perfect Washington fit.

I do not think a short stint as an appointed replacement will overcome the "name recognition" problem in this case.

At least it wasn't Oprah or Meghan, who reportedly were both waving their hands and going 'Me! Me!"

She only moved to Maryland when she became president of EMILY’s List two years ago, according to Besoeker’s link. Before that she’d lived in California since 2009, where she was president of her local SEIU local, then a regent of the University of California — apparently the obvious next career step.

Anyone still think Gavin isn't all-in for the Presidency? This delivers serious campaign money and nation-wide organization, locks in professional union organizers (SEIU), abortion fanatics, significant black votes, cements the queer base even deeper and makes Kamala less paranoid at a Newsome VP choice.
As for California residency and Laphonia's interest in it, meaningless, it will vote Marxist no matter who is on the ticket.

It’s no secret, but one thing many people might not know is that EMILY’s List is not named after a woman; EMILY is an acronym for “Early Money Is Like Yeast” — it “makes the dough rise.” Laphonza Butler was the president of Emilys list, a very pro abortion organization.

So maybe she will spend a lot of time out of the senate with a yeast infection, much like Feinstein did with her notorious case of "shingles."

[GEO.TV] Caretaker Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has revealed the arrest of an eight-member gang including its leader — a doctor — involved in illegal organ transplants in the province.
Addressing a presser in the CM's House in Lahore on Sunday, Naqvi said that the doctor, who also has a history of prior arrest, was leading the gang involved in the illicit activity.
The caretaker provincial chief executive revealed that the gang used to charge between Rs2.8 million to Rs10m for a kidney transplant and the person who used to assist in the surgery was in fact a "motor mechanic".
Most of the illegal illegal organ transplants used to be carried out in Azad Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... , and the group was also active in Taxila Naqvi said.
The police worked day and night to apprehend the gang, he added while lauding their performance.
Reassuring that the controllers and abettors of the accused will also be arrested and that the government will try to present a "strong challan" of the case, the chief minister said that the case might be sent to the case to the Federal Investigation Agence (FIA) if needed.

[Gateway] In a shocking revelation, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has recently brought to light a deeply concerning issue that should alarm every American citizen. The U.S. government is currently funding research into "transgenic edible vaccines," a term that sounds like it’s straight out of a dystopian science fiction novel. Yet, it is very much a reality, and it’s happening right under our noses.
The Gateway Pundit reported in 2021 that scientists at the University of California, Riverside, have been experimenting with turning edible plants like lettuce and spinach into mRNA vaccine factories. Water? No, I think it was something in my arugula pesto.
According to the press release published by the University of California, the project aims to utilize mRNA technology, similar to that used in COVID-19 vaccines, to turn edible plants into vaccine factories.
The research is funded by a $500,000 grant from the National Science Foundation and has three primary goals:
