British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is considering introducing measures that would ban the next generation from ever being able to buy cigarettes, The Guardian reported on Friday. A way to combat drugs - instead of drugs smuggling/dealing, criminals will make their fortunes with tobacco?

I myself am always concerned when an idiot takes the wheel. They're most likely going to run off in a ditch, but who will they run over in the mean time?

^ I think that's the idea. The dems have IDed the "gun control vote" as one that has nowhere else to go. That means they get only lip service. Kamala-lala-ding-dong's specialty.

They misspelled PROMOTION. All this will do is promote *more* 'gun violence'. Which, of course, is what they wanted all along...
[Breitbart] Wonder if he even knows...
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan announced Thursday that President Joe Biden would name Penny Pritzker, a billionaire heiress and former commerce secretary, to manage Ukraine’s economic recovery from the ongoing war.
Sullivan, a major proponent of the “Russia collusion” hoax against President Donald Trump, told reporters that Biden, meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky at the White House for the sixth time on Thursday, would “introduce a special representative for Ukraine’s economic recovery, Penny Pritzker, who will focus on engaging the private sector, partner countries, and Ukrainian counterparts to generate international investment in Ukraine and work with Ukraine to make the reforms necessary to improve Ukraine’s business climate.”
Pritzker, a close Chicago associate of former President Barack Obama and heiress to the Hyatt hotel fortune, was passed up for a cabinet post after the 2008 election due to her involvement in a subprime mortgage collapse at Superior Bank, which failed in 2001. That was considered a political liability in an administration that promised voters it would fix the mess on Wall Street that had led to a massive recession and ushered Obama into office.
Four years later, when memories of the Wall Street financial collapse had faded somewhat, Pritzker was nominated to be Secretary of Commerce.
In that role, her signature achievement was giving away American control of Internet domain names. Pritzker was also actively involved in Ukraine, where her family is originally from.
It was under her department that the infamous billion-dollar loan guarantees were announced — the money that then-Vice President Biden threatened to withdraw unless Ukraine fired a prosecutor investigating Hunter Biden’s company, Burisma.
To date, Pritzker has not been asked, at least in public, what she knew about Biden’s conflict of interest in Ukraine.
[Townhall] Because, of course he did.
As Spencer reported Friday morning, Democratic Senator Bob Menendez has been indicted on a number of federal charges for bribery and selling out the United States of America to Egypt. Menendez is the current chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
The indictment alleges Menendez accepted bribes in return for his "power and influence as a senator" to protect and enrich several Egyptian officials.
"Those bribes included cash, gold, payments toward a home mortgage, compensation for a low-or-no-show job, a luxury vehicle, and other things of value," the indictment states.
But an email included in the indictment is raising questions about former Vice President Joe Biden's connection to the players Menendez was involved with. More specifically, who Menendez staffers were contacting for favors from Biden while he was in office during the Obama administration.
🤔🤔
When an aide to Senator Robert Menendez requested that then VP-Biden host the U.S.-Spain Council's 2010 annual meeting at his official Naval Observatory residence in Washington DC, he contacted Hunter Biden's business partner rather than Joe's White House office. pic.twitter.com/ZHr6Kmvlt3
Rosemont Seneca Partners is the firm Hunter Biden ran with Devon Archer. Despite false claims President Joe Biden "never met" Hunter's partners or discussed business with his son, Archer revealed in congressional testimony that he met the elder Biden many times and said the "Biden brand" was being sold for millions around the world. Then Vice President Biden would regularly call into Hunter's business meetings and was put on speaker phone.

They have been going after Menendez for decades. He has to be the biggest knucklehead to take even a piece of chewing gum offered to him knowing the way DC works.

As others have said, New Jersey has the best senators money can buy.

[NY Post] "Know your place, peasants!"
US Education Secretary Miguel Cardona is calling out parents he says are "misbehaving in public" and then "acting like they know what’s right for kids," stating that he doesn’t respect their actions.
Cardona made the comments in an interview on the state of education in the U.S., including the recent Supreme Court decisions on race-based admissions and President Biden’s attempts to relieve student debt.
During the sitdown, Cardona was asked to expand on prior comments that public education was "under attack."
His remarks generated fury on social media, where his comments were interpreted as an insult to concerned parents who have spoken out at school board meetings across the U.S. against COVID mandates, critical race theory and books with too much sexual content.
"I’ve been in education, you know, about 25 years. Not including the time I was in higher ed as a student. I’ve never seen it where it is now," Cardona replied.
"There was civility. We could disagree. We could have healthy conversations around what’s best for kids," he said. "I respect differences of opinion. I don’t have too much respect for people that are misbehaving in public and then acting as if they know what’s right for kids."
Cardona went on to say, "Or people that have a problem when we’re trying to provide some support for those who are buried in debt complain about a 10 thousand dollar support for thousands of their constituents but are Ok taking over a million dollars in loan forgiveness themselves as an elected official."
"That hypocrisy — I want to call it out at the top of this conversation because there is a team that is fighting for kids and a team that is fighting against kids."
Parents Defending Education President Nicole Neily went on X to hit back at Cardona, saying he "openly dismissed thousands of American parents who have been speaking out at school board meetings."
Neily said Cardona’s comments indicate he does not respect differences of opinion.
"Actions speak louder than words — and they reveal that Secretary Cardona does not, in fact, respect differences of opinion," she said in a statement to Fox News.
"Look no further than the fact that in 2022, Cardona’s Education Department chose to shut down its faux ’parents council’ stacked with rubber-stamping elites rather than add any members who would provide viewpoint diversity, and was named by a board member of the NSBA [National School Boards Association] as the instigator of its now-infamous letter."
