[GOOBJOOG] A U.S. Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... on an al-Shabaab ...... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them... meeting in the Lower Juba region on Friday killed 43 holy warriors, sources said.
State news agency, SONNA reported Monday that the airstrike that targeted a meeting of al-Shabaab members in Jamaame eliminated a senior al-Shabaab figure identified as Aden Abdirahman Aden and his Deputy Idiris Abdirahim Nur.
SONNA, which quoted an SNA officer added that the Death Eaters were planning to attack Barsanguni military base which hosts Somali National Army and Jubaland State Forces.
Neither has the U.S Africa Command, AFRICOM and Somali government commented on the development.
The last US airstrike was on June 1 in the outskirts of Kismayo ...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (always assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region.... which AFRICOM said killed three holy warriors.

[AFRICANEWS] New festivities between farming and herding communities have left at least 13 people dead in central Nigeria since Friday, according to community leaders and local authorities.
In recent weeks, the central state of Plateau has seen a resurgence in tensions and deadly conflicts between herder and farmer communities, who are fighting over the use of land and resources.
On Friday, five herders on their way to a market to sell their animals "were arrested and killed" in the community of Rawuru by alleged "Berom youths", a farming community, explained local Fulani ... a peculiarly brutal tribe of Moslem herdsmen infesting Mali, Niger, Nigeria, and probably other places that are light on law and order and heavy on tribal identity... herders' representative Nuru Abdullahi.
Subsequently, in what appears to have been a retaliatory attack, eight Berom farmers were killed in the same Rawuru community by alleged "Fulani herders", Berom youth representative Pius Dalyop Pam added.
Local police front man Alfred Alagbo confirmed the latest attack and its toll. He said it followed the killing of herders, but could not confirm the exact toll of the first attack.
The north-western and central regions of Nigeria are regularly the scene of tensions and deadly conflicts over the use of land and water resources between farming and herding communities, exacerbated in recent years by demographic pressure and climate change.
The spate of murders followed by acts of reprisal has given rise to a wider range of criminality in the region, with gangs carrying out targeted raids on villages, killing villagers by the dozen, looting and kidnapping for ransom.
Since mid-May, more than 120 people have been killed in deadly festivities between communities in the same state of Plateau. More than 3,000 people have been displaced by the violence.
The local authorities, fearing that the violence could flare up again, have deployed mobile police forces in several districts of Plateau state in order to "restore peace", according to Mr. Alagbo.
The spate of killings followed by acts of retaliation has given rise to wider criminality in the region, with gangs carrying out targeted raids on villages, mass kidnappings and looting.
Nigeria's new president, Bola Tinubu, who was sworn in at the end of May as head of Africa's most populous country and the continent's largest economy, faces a host of security challenges.
Like his predecessors, he has promised to make the fight against insecurity "his top priority".

[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Tribesmen stopped on Sunday all its works in the most important oil fields in Shabwah province, which is under the control of the UAE-backed factions in eastern Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... .
Tribal sources confirmed that people from the "Thahba" area of the "Balharith" tribes in Usilan district have stopped all internal work in Oil Block No. 5 of "PetroMasila" company due to the companies’ failure to supply electricity to the people of the area since 2009.
The rustics called on the oil company operating the Oil Block 5 to implement the agreements signed with the former operator, the American "Hunt" firm, during the past period and with it during the current stage.
This comes after written warnings issued by the people of the area to the operating company yesterday, Saturday, to stop all its operations.

Although it failed to build a major pipeline from its find in eastern Yemen, in 2000 Hunt (USA) was still granted a five-year extension at its Ras Issa base. By then a more durable storage facility was clearly needed other than the offshore storage vessel Hunt used. (The ship would be used for thirty years.) Eventually, Hunt was denied permission to continue in Yemen, and in 2005 a Yemen govt contractor began administering the Hunt original pipeline and its storage ship. In 2012 a consortium led by Dubai's ChemieTech started building an onshore terminal which apparently has yet to be completed. To date, all petroleum operations in Yemen have been dogged by corruption, and Hunt considered itself well quit of the place.

[NPASYRIA] The eastern countryside of Daraa Governorate, southern Syria, witnessed three killing cases of three people, including a woman, by unknown assailants, resulting in festivities and unrest.
A local source told North Press that Anas Muhammad al-Hamed al-Zoebi, his brother Qosay and his wife were rubbed out by unknown assailants in the village of Neimiyeh in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
The source added, "Anas and Qosay, who hail from the town of al-Taebah in Daraa eastern countryside, operated within the ranks of the Eight Brigade of the Military Intelligence of the government forces."
The Eighth Brigade was established on the ruins of the Shabaab al-Sunna faction headed by Ahmad al-Awda of the Syrian opposition during its control of southern Syria.
The Eighth Brigade has been assigned by Russia for several missions over the past years, the first of which was in Yarmouk Basin area and hunting down the remnants of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS).
The source noted that accusation finger is addressed to Fayez al-Radi group, a drug ring of the government Military Security Branch.
The two killed brother are said to be behind the killing of al-Radi in al-Taebah on March 8.
The assailants, after killing the two brothers and the lady, celebrated the killing by firing into the air in the village of Nasib.
Later, gunnies affiliated to the Eight Brigade raided headquarters of the government Military Security Branch in Nasib, resulting in festivities between the two parties.
The festivities, which lasted over an hour, were carried out on the back of killing Anas and his brother Qosay.
So far, North Press has not obtained information about casualties as local sources said that tension was still ongoing.
Since the government forces re-captured Daraa in 2018, the governorate has been living in a state of insecurity, with daily liquidations targeting soldiers and officers of the government forces, as well as the spread of thefts.
In July 2018, the opposition armed factions and government forces reached a cease-fire agreement mediated by Russia in the opposition-held areas of Daraa Governorate. Under the deal, the opposition factions agreed to hand over their weapons in exchange for staying in Daraa. Those who opposed the agreement were sent to Idlib, which is under the control of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... (HTS, formerly al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... Front).

[NPASYRIA] A military source from the Syrian government forces told North Press on Monday that "the 58th Battalion of the 105th Elite Republican Guard Brigade headed from Damascus towards north of the M4 Highway in the de-escalation zone in northwestern Syria.
The government forces’ convoys headed to the contact lines with Ottoman Turkish-backed opposition factions, also known as the Syrian National Army (SNA), who recently have been threatening to breach de-escalation agreements and escalate in parts of western Aleppo.
Social media accounts close to the Syrian government shared video footage of military convoys, which included tanks, armored vehicles, troop carriers, and engineering units, heading from the west of Damascus towards northwest Syria.
The reinforcements coincide with the preparations for the 20th round of Astana talks, which will be held on June 20-21 in the Kazakh capital. In recent days, Russia announced that its draft roadmap for developing relations between Syria and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... is ready.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shouting match, the spittle had reached unprecedented levels... Ottoman Turkish forces have intensified their shelling of northern Syria and government positions in northwestern Syria before the start of the Astana talks.
