[NYPOST] The man accused of fatally stabbing an ex-con who punched his girlfriend on a J train this week was released without bail Thursday after his arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
Assistant District Attorney David Ingle had asked Judge Sherveal Mimes to impose $100,000 cash bail on Jordan Williams, the 20-year-old from Hollis, Queens, who allegedly knifed Devictor Ouedraogo on Tuesday during a subway struggle.
But Mimes refused, instead electing to cut Williams loose.
"I really do not believe that you pose a flight risk — I just don’t," Mimes told Williams. "I think that your whole life is ahead of you. I think that you have every reason to fight this case with the support of your family."
Jason Goldman, Williams’ attorney, said in court that his client works at FedEx to help pay the family bills and has never been in legal trouble.
"He’s a gentle soul in the community," Goldman said. "This situation escalated and it was by no fault of his own."
His client was in the "precarious position where are you either sit there and get assaulted and let all the people get assaulted — or you eventually stand up for yourself and you get arrested."
Williams’ family was elated by the judge’s decision.
"Thank you, Jesus!" his godmother exclaimed in court, while Williams’ mother — who had compared her son to Daniel Penny as a good Samaritan who was trying to protect people — smiled.
Outside the court, Williams’ mom, April, said she was ecstatic when her son walked out of court.
"He’s the baby boy, he’s treated like the baby ... We love him to death," she said. "The judge had only good things to say about him."

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Matthew DeSavio, 33, was threatening a mass shooting at the Stanley Cup Finals
Photo at the link — he’s got those crazy eyes.
Police said that DeSavio had posted threatening messages about game online
He referenced recreating the horror Mandalay Bay massacre from six years ago
Just before noon on Tuesday, police were called to a Las Vegas business by a person who told officers DeSavio had stalked them for about a decade, officers said. DeSavio, 33, later arrived at the business where cops arrested him, according to documents obtained by Nexstar's KLAS Wednesday.
Police said that DeSavio had been adjudicated for prior stalking and harassment cases. They did not reveal whether the 33-year-old actually had access to weapons, although after his arrest, police said they were aware of the threat.
DeSavio was ordered to complete a competence evaluation by a judge in November and awaited treatment for 78 days - something his public defender said violated his due process rights.
Judge Christy Craig concluded in March that the state failed to transport DeSavio to to behavioral health treatment in a timely manner.
After then being remanded in custody for eight days, the judge dismissed the charges and he was released in April.
He faces charges of stalking, making a false threat regarding an act of terrorism, aggravated stalking and violating a temporary protection order for the threats made Tuesday.

...Not that I know of - my fave theory though is that he was a CI for the Feds, and more than one agency at that. No terrorist, no Fiendish Plan (TM), just a nut who could have been stopped.

I think the motive of the original shooter was insanity after loosing millions gambling but then it was quickly dropped without question so who knows.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] An Illinois man is facing two felony firearms charges after accidentally shooting himself in his sleep while dreaming about a home invasion.
Mark Dicara, 62, mistakenly believed a burglar was breaking into his home after he dozed off on the night of April 10.
While dreaming he was fending off a criminal, he grabbed his .357 Magnum revolver and fired a shot into the darkness, only to wake himself up after inadvertently shooting himself in the leg.
Dicara was rushed to hospital when police found him losing a 'significant amount of blood', and investigators would later discover he used the revolver without a state-mandated Firearm Owners Identification Card.
No one else was harmed, and authorities quickly established that no home invasion had ever occurred in the home.
It was concluded that Dicara violated Illinois state firearms law as while he previously owned an identification card, it had been revoked.
Officials have not confirmed the reasons his license was revoked, or when it occurred.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Dicara is a semi-retired attorney licensed to practice law in Illinois and Wisconsin.
[Daily Mail, where America get its news] An opinion poll released this week found that 8 percent of trans adults have already left their neighborhood or state due to the new rules affecting them, and another 43 percent are thinking about making a move.
That would amount to some 104,000 trans adults moving home, and another 559,000 considering it, based on an estimate that there are 1.3 million trans adults in the US. a bullshit number
The survey comes as trans people post online videos about leaving Red states like Florida, Texas, and Missouri, which have passed laws against children and even some adults from accessing sex-altering drugs.

Some of them are exaggerating and lying. Others think they will have more friends in the Castro district. In the end, the only statistically significant movement of people in our country is the invasion.

So non-essential workers.
Unlike Dust Bowl Okies (and many others), whose treatment in California has not been forgotten.

Fine. It is, after all, a free country. You can live wherever you would like. But you might heed the ancient advice "Caelum non animum mutat qui trans mare currit." Very loose translation: You can move to a different geographical location, but you will still have the same psychological problems there as you do here.

Baloney. The exodus of traditional Americans from California far exceeds that number. Typical ghey-lobby hyperbole!

Confused school childrens' self-identification aside, there are not that many of those freaks in the USA.

Millions of Americans support bans on gender-affirming care, as it is known, and object to trans male-to-female athletes competing in sports against women and girls.
What they're objecting to is their inability to chemically mutilate children (and groom them), so good fucking riddance.

"A kid can consent to my knife,"
Said the doctor. "I'm saving its life
By changing its sex,"
She explained to us zeks,
"So why can't it-- oh, look, here's my wife!"

I am sure some of this is true. I have never been convinced by the folks that spew stuff about UN forces operating in our national forests. I just can’t see a UN force operating anywhere without evidence of sexual assault.

If you think that 25-35 year-old Chinese men in good physical shape can easily come up with that kind of money in China, you must think it's time to consider SF commercial real-estate!
This sure looks like Chinese military Special Forces infiltration!
(San Diego) Criminal defense attorney Marc Carlos said Chinese migrants are paying human traffickers significantly more to cross the border.
“I’ve been doing this a long time,” Carlos said. “And I have not seen the prices that high for crossing the border.” "Carlos said prices of smuggling Chinese migrants have skyrocketed, with average payments ranging from $40,000 to $60,000."
[Information Liberation] Starbucks has been ordered by a jury to pay over $25 million in damages to a former regional manager they fired for being white as a sacrificial offering to the Black Lives Matter movement.
From The New York Times, "White Starbucks Manager Fired Amid Furor Over Racism Wins $25 Million":
In April 2018, two Black men entered a Starbucks shop in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Philadelphia for a business meeting with a white man who had not yet arrived. While they waited, and before ordering, one of the two asked to use the bathroom. He was refused. Eventually, they were asked to leave. When they did not, an employee called the police.
The subsequent arrests, captured in videos viewed millions of times online, prompted accusations of racism, protests and boycott threats. The company's chief executive apologized publicly, describing the way the men had been treated as "reprehensible." Starbucks took the extraordinary step of temporarily closing 8,000 stores to teach workers about racial bias.
Starbucks employees said they were forced to watch "video after video" of white cops attacking blacks as part of said "racial bias" training.
On Monday, in a surprising twist, a federal jury in New Jersey ordered Starbucks to pay $25.6 million to a former regional manager after determining that the company had fired her amid the fallout from the Rittenhouse Square episode because she was white.
The jury found that Starbucks had violated the federal civil rights of the former manager, Shannon Phillips, as well as a New Jersey law that prohibits discrimination based on race, awarding her $600,000 in compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages.
Laura Carlin Mattiacci, a lawyer for Ms. Phillips, said she and her client were "very pleased" with the unanimous verdict, adding that "she proved by ’clear and convincing evidence' that punitive damages were warranted" under the New Jersey law.

I think I will stick with Dunkin Donuts. Getting a latte from Starbucks has become too complex with regard to Juris Prudence. Eventually all the waivers will back up the drive through.

[ZERO] (Tr)anheuser-Busch InBev's Bud Light brand has lost its spot as the number one selling beer in America. The historic, unprecedented self-sabotage at the beermaker by an underqualified, woke, virtue-signaling idiot marketing executive has sparked ten weeks of crashing demand as beer drinkers ditch Bud for Mexican lager Modelo Especial.
According to NielsenIQ data from consulting firm Bump Williams, Constellation Brands' Modelo represented 8.4% of US retail-store beer sales in the four weeks that ended June 3, compared with 7.3% for Bud Light. The Wall Street Journal first reported these findings.

AB InBev had to divest itself of the Modelo brand in the US in 2013 to comply with anti-trust regulators when it acquired interests in the Mexican company that previously owned it.

I like that one too Steve. Just think of it as saying "Black" in Spanish. Plus, if someone gives you a hard time about it, you have a nice glass bottle to konk them on the head with.

The subject of Art isn't light,
Whose spectrum's entirely too white,
But rather its lack,
Inarticulate black
["Look, a rainbow!"]
That fights for the night.
Mind you, I like night, having spent a good chunk of me life wandering around dark cities in the depths of it, and mostly topless if not for black t-shirts, begorrah... but enough is enough.
[NPR] The German government will pay more than $1.4 billion next year to Holocaust survivors, in the latest compensation for atrocities and persecution inflicted by the Nazis.
Nearly $890 million will go toward home care services — an increasingly vital aspect of the reparation effort, as the Nazis' victims advance in age, nearly 80 years after the Holocaust ended.
The payments stem from annual negotiations between Germany's Federal Ministry of Finance and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, an organization representing Jewish Holocaust survivors also known as the Claims Conference. The funds are meant to help survivors live in dignity, decades after they were persecuted and lost loved ones and property.
"Every year these negotiations become more and more critical as this last generation of Holocaust survivors age and their needs increase," Greg Schneider, the Claims Conference's executive vice president, said in a news release about the deal.
