[NYPOST] At a downtown Tempe, Ariz., "Pride Party" earlier this month, a drag queen encouraged the crowd to register to vote so that they may "turn the tide on all the hate and anti-gay nonsense in the statehouse . . . in Florida, in the United States."
The "all ages" event also featured speeches by Democratic officials and a gay rapper who performed a song about a sex act. Video shows plenty of small children were present.
That same weekend, at West Hollywood, Calif.’s "family friendly" Pride celebration, video circulated of two men performing a public sex act in broad daylight on a float in the parade. The next day, a drag performer dedicated to mocking and disparaging Christians was honored at the state Capitol in Sacramento.
Shocking as it continues to be, none of this seems especially uncharacteristic for June in the US, where Pride events have become increasingly demented, offensive, and tied to wacky, far-left politics inspired by "critical queer theory," critical race theory’s genderless stepchild.
The media has been more than happy to take up the cause, breathlessly repeating lines about Republican legislatures passing recent "anti-gay" laws — 417 to be exact. It’s gotten so bad, this month the Human Rights Campaign even declared a "state of emergency" for the "LGBTQ+ community." But each of those laws deals with the sexualization of, and medical experimentation on, children. If that’s what defines being gay, count me out. And I’m not the only one who thinks so.

[NYPOST] Target shareholders took a beating again on Friday, with the big-box retailer’s stock falling 3.26%.
The backlash from the Pride controversy coincides with the stock losing over $15 billion in market value since mid-May.
Shares plummeted to $126.99 when the market closed after eclipsing $161 just last month after a third Wall Street firm downgraded the shares on concerns over slowing sales.
Since the controversy began, Target’s market cap has fallen $15 billion to $58.61 billion as of Friday’s closing price.
Target’s market value was over $74 billion before the polarizing Pride displays made national news, as tracked by Dow Jones Market Data Group.
Target initially irked conservatives with Pride displays that featured items such as "tuck-friendly" women’s swimsuits, but the LGBTQ community became outraged when the displays were dialed back ahead of Pride Month.
The retailer recently suffered nine straight days of losses on the heels of backlash from both sides of the issue and finished the week with another losing streak.
Entering Friday, Target’s stock value had fallen roughly 3.1% in the last five days, after plummeting about 18.5% the last month. Already near a three-year low, Target shares have been hit with a series of downgrades amid the controversy over Pride products.
The company’s latest snub from Citi analyst Paul Lejuez lowers the stock to neutral from buy and pits the troubled retailer against rival Walmart, which Lejuez said in a note on Friday would begin gobbling up market share.

Well, I was gladly wrong about the Bud Light/AB thing, thinking that it would have blown over already (like the Target toilet tumult), but Target will be different. Bud Light is just one brand whereas Target offers countless brands and has a different customer base.
I hope I'm wrong in a way, but I may think about buying TGT stock once I feel it has bottomed.
OT - I read an article yesterday about how "shrinkage" is really hitting the bottom line of department stores. And I'm not sure who in their right mind would want to try and run a business in California right now. Maybe if a few shops in Beverly Hills or Sacramento get robbed blind will they reconsider.

A guy on Gutfeld the other night who is a regular on Shark Tank, said that "shrinkage", meaning retail theft losses, usually runs about 2% for most businesses, and that it was an impact on the usual roughly 15% margin most businesses expect to make. He commented that in San Francisco, the CVS was running about 12% shrinkage and rising, this making the closure decision pretty mandatory.

Shrinkage is closer to 50% after a dip in the pool.

The coming solution will be ruinous the idea of in-person shopping and produce choice/handling. Security infrastructure and massive product handling systems will increase the cost of everything we take for granted at the retail end of food and consumer goods, at least in urban areas.
You either pre-select items and pay before arrival at a distribution site where you pickup your packages/groceries, or you go through tedious pointing at product behind glass partitions and the order is assembled remotely while you wait and after you pay. In effect stop and grab becomes impossible because you never handle things until you have paid for them.
We destroy the quality of life in America because we are too weak-willed to arrest people because it might seem racist, homophobic, or just mean.

The left is in a win-win situation and the corporations should realize this. If the company goes woke it may go broke or it is in control of the leftists as a woke company. The left does not care that Target or Am-Bev lost 10’s of billions. They only like Capitalism that they control or benefit them.

An Afrikan background encumbers
Her men with no gay in their slumbers,
Not counting the gangs
In which everyone bangs
One another for safety in numbers.
Apologies for disagreeable "her" but "Black" seemed a bit sweeping and broad-brushed even to my sumi-e with mop self. No idea whether the "information" at the link is true or representative.
"If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" - could that be Bud Light's latest genius marketing move?
The beer brand, still under intense fire and a suffering a sales collapse that came as a result of its embrace of 'trans' influencer Dylan Mulvaney, is (or was) reportedly co-sponsoring an "all ages drag show party", according to a report from Fox News.
In what appears to be a full embrace of its new target audience, Bud Light may have co-sponsored an "all-ages Pride event" in Flagstaff, Arizona, Fox News writes. The event is called "Pride in the Pines" and includes drag queens.
Bud Light was previously listed as co-sponsor for the event on posters, which is also being described as a "family festival event" and a family-friendly, "safe space". Old Navy, Toyota and Coca-Cola USA are also sponsoring the event, Fox News reported.
Flagstaff Pride's Twitter account wrote this week that Bud Light was not a sponsor, despite appearing on a poster for the event: "We put out an incorrect promotional poster which included Bud Light as a sponsor."
Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch commented that "Bud Light is not a sponsor of this event. The event organizers have issued a corrected version of the poster." But while Anheuser-Busch appears to be contesting that it is involved in the event, Flagstaff Pride's website still prominently displayed "Bud Light" as a sponsor as of Sunday morning.
[Breitbart] The FBI holds two more informant files on the Biden family’s business ventures, triggering the House Oversight Committee on Friday to subpoena two more banks, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) exclusively told Breitbart News.
Greene, a member of the House Oversight Committee, said the FBI holds at least two more FD-1023 forms referenced in the FBI informant document reviewed by the Committee Thursday. Greene expects the Committee will work to review those forms next week.
On Thursday the committee viewed an FBI informant file that revealed the alleged existence of two pieces of evidence showing President Joe Biden received $5 million from Ukrainian energy company Burisma, Committee Republicans told reporters.
"He requested it, he and Hunter Biden requested $5 million each," Greene said. "’Pay me $5 million, pay my father $5 million, and we will take care of your problems for you,'" Greene described the alleged request the Bidens made of Burisma.
In 2015, Burisma was under suspicion of money laundering and public corruption. Prosecutor Victor Shokin investigated the case before his termination due to pressure applied by then-Vice President Joe Biden, who threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid from Ukraine if the Ukrainian government did not fire the prosecutor investigating Burisma.

Boebert and MTG don’t really get along. Boebert stayed with Gaetz and the resistance. MTG stuck with McCarthy thinking that the larger numbers of the middle of the road Republicans would support her impeachment initiatives if she was a player in the main apparatus. Unsurprisingly they have disappointed her. Elise Stefanik is saying the right stuff and is a possibility to replace McCarthy. Nancy Mace has surprised me recently. I had written her off long ago.

[Gateway] Rudy Giuliani joined Rita Cosby on Newsmax on Saturday morning to discuss the latest Congressional investigations into the Biden Family Crimes.
During the interview Rudy Giuliani DROPPED A BOMB!
Mr. Giuliani has made promises like that before, but not always kept them.
Rudy, who warned the American public about the Biden Family’s international pay for play scandals years ago, told Rita Cosby that he has a witness who is the former chief accountant at Burisma who is willing to testify on the Biden crimes. She even has the Biden bank account transactions. She has the receipts!
Rudy Giuliani: It’s extraordinary. I gave them one witness that any investigator would jump through hoops to go to. Gave them a witness who is a woman who was the chief accountant at this crooked company, Burisma. She was the wife of the former owner who died under suspicious circumstances. And, she was willing to give up all of the offshore bank accounts, including the Bidens’ accounts. She supervised the transfer of a lot more cash to the Bidens and other crooked politicians for Burisma.
Rita Cosby: Are you confident that now the House Committee is going to get to the bottom of that? Because that is stunning.
Rudy Giuliani: The reality is that we gave it to them in January of 2020, and the Pittsburgh US attorney was very interested. And then in a very strange move, Barr took it away from him, gave it to the US attorney in Delaware. He didn’t do a damn thing about it. And the woman was under threat of death. So we tried to put pressure on them to do something. Look, suppose she was lying. You would find out in a minute she wouldn’t have the accounts. She either has the goods or she doesn’t. And it’s absurd not to interview her. She claims she had bank accounts and that the Biden’s got a lot more money under the table than already. We had $8 million on the table that we could prove, which they could prove tomorrow if they wanted to they could have proved it three years ago, Rita. They could have indicted him before he ran for president and obviated this problem. We could have found out if he was innocent or guilty in January of 2020. All the witnesses were there, and I have him on tape like Schokin. Schokin was willing to come and testify.

[PJMedia] A leaked video shows that at least one Washington, D.C., cop—and likely more—acted on January 6 as apparent agent provocateurs, dressing as protesters outside the Capitol Building and urging protesters toward the iconic building. See the video below. Congressman Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) says the authenticated GoPro video raises the question of why coppers, who were identified as intelligence officers, were working to stir up the crowd of protesters instead of working to stop an assault on the Capitol.
At one point in the video, the unidentified police officer equipped with the camera said to another that he thought the idea was to get people inside the Capitol Building and trap them inside. The observation by the undercover officer leads one to conclude that there was intelligence about a plan to attack the Capitol, and the apparent response by the police was to let them do it and take pictures.
When another officer on the video saw people climbing the scaffolding, he told the officer with the GoPro, "That’s dangerous. Somebody’s going to get shot." A third officer said, "They’re not going to shoot anybody." Yet, they encouraged and participated in the dangerous activity.
