I, as well. Any ISI/Pak good intentions are belied by trying to get India to spend $ there, since the Talibs have been supporting Anti-Paki efforts on the frontier.

[SUDANTRIBUNE] The Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) are calling for a cessation of military escalation in Sudan, warning that war means the return of the former regime to rule Sudan again.
After a meeting on Thursday evening, the pro-democracy coalition issued a statement in the early hours of Friday saying the current military tension in the country has been planned by the remnants of the former regime with the aim of destroying the ongoing political process to restoring a civilian transitional government.
In a statement delivered at the end of the meeting early on Friday, al-Wathiq al-Bireir, a prominent member of the coalition, called for the exposure of the dissolved National Congress Party and the resistance against its plans.
“We urge everyone to stand up against the war and the resurgence of the remnants of the former regime,” he said.
Moreover, al-Bireir disclosed that they held a meeting four days before the escalation on April 8, attended by the armed forces commander-in-chief and the Rapid Support Forces commander.
He added they agreed on several issues during the meeting, but none of them was implemented.
He emphasized that “the resolution of the current crisis requires the completion of the political process.”
In a related development, three leaders of the Juba peace agreement signatory groups, Malik Agar, Minni Minnawi, and Gibril Ibrahim issued a joint statement saying they made good offices with the two rivals to defuse the crisis.
[KhaamaPress] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... deported 9,000 Afghan refugees to Afghanistan since the beginning of 2023, Human Rights Watch in Turkey said.
According to Ali Hekmat, the head of the Association for the Support of Afghan Refugees in Turkey, the country has expelled 29,000 refugees between January 1 and the first week of April, with which 8,780 Afghan and 1,581 Pak nationals making up the majority of those deported.
Deporting refugees from Turkiye has accelerated, mainly Afghan refugees, on the eve of the country’s presidential elections.
More than 18,000 refugees have been detained on Turkey’s border and are ready to be deported, of which over 5,000 are Afghan nationals.
According to a report, Turkey deports up to a thousand Afghan refugees to Afghanistan every week.
Organisations that promote asylum seekers’ rights assert that President Erdogan is trying to get voters’ attention by making the fight against illegal immigration the main topic of his election campaign.
Since the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... takeover of the country, the number of refugee seekers has increased. Most Afghans flee the country due to prosecution, security threats, economic purposes and lack of occupation.
Clearly a good many Democratic politicians are not ready to go on record with their real animus toward Israel in the face of the traditional American support of the Jewish state, or there actually is a pro-Israel silent majority in the Democratic party despite the loud noises made by a small number of of their membership.
[IsraelTimes] No’ votes more than double those against 2021 bill for Iron Dome funding; J Street protests resolution’s omission of backing for two-state solution but didn’t call to oppose it.
The US House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to pass a resolution marking Israel’s 75th anniversary, heralding the importance of the US-Israel relationship and urging the expansion of the Abraham Accords.
H.Res.311 passed 401-19, with 18 progressive Democrats opposing the measure amid growing comfort within the party to take such public stances against the Jewish state, along with protests raised by the dovish J Street lobby group over the initiative’s lack of inclusion of support for a two-state solution.
Previous resolutions introduced every five years to mark Israeli Independence Day have included mentions of the two-state solution or peace with the Paleostinians. The Haaretz daily reported that Democratic congressional leadership sought to add such language but were rebuffed by Republicans, who have increasingly moved away from openly backing two states.
The 19 politicians who voted "no" were more than double the number of representatives who voted against a September 2021 bill to provide Israel with $1 billion for its Iron Dome missile defense system. That resolution passed 420-9.
While Tuesday’s resolution was far more symbolic than the 2021 initiative, both were seen as barometers of Congressional support for Israel, with the results on the latest bill indicating that backing has slightly waned.
Voting against Tuesday’s pro-Israel resolution were eight of the nine politicians who opposed the Iron Dome funding in 2021 — Democratic Representatives Cori Bush, Andre Carson, Chuy Garcia, Raul Grijalva, Ilhan Omar ...Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She was apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw on her mother's side... , Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib and Republican Rep. Thomas Massie. (The ninth politician, Democratic representative Marie Newman, lost her reelection bid last year.)
Joining them were Democratic Representatives Jamaal Bowman, Mark Desaulnier, Jared Huffman, Pramila Jayapal, Hank Johnson, Summer Lee, Betty McCollum, Ilhan Omar, Mark Pocan, Alexandria Boom Boom Ocasio-Cortez Dem Congressgirl from da Bronx in Noo Yawk and leader of the Mean Girl Caucus in Congress. One of the Great Minds of the 21st Century, she is known as much for her innaleck as for her dance moves. She is all in favor of socialism, even though she's fuzzy on the details. She was the inventor of the Green New Deal, though she doesn't talk about it much anymore... , Delia Ramirez and Nydia Velazquez.
The legislation was co-sponsored by Republican Representatives Ann Wagner and Michael McCaul along with Democratic Representatives Kathy Manning and Brad Schneider, demonstrating sustained bipartisan support for Israel in an ever-polarized political climate in Washington.
Both Manning and Schneider made a point of stressing their support for the two-state solution in the floor debate ahead of the vote.
The text’s mention of support for the Abraham Accords avoided using the Biden administration talking point about the importance of leveraging Israel’s new relations with Arab states in order to advance peace with the Paleostinians.
The resolution "encourag[es] the expansion and strengthening of the Abraham Accords to urge other nations to normalize relations with Israel and ensure that existing agreements reap tangible security and economic benefits for the citizens of those countries and all peoples in the region."
J Street did not specifically urge politicians to vote against the bill but did share its concerns with members.
"We regret that the House resolution introduced to mark Israel’s landmark 75th anniversary omits key commitments and aspirations that have been central to the US-Israel relationship for decades," the group’s spokesperson Logan Bayroff told Jewish Insider.
"This anniversary should be a time — as has been the case with prior resolutions marking milestone anniversaries for Israel — when long-standing bipartisan consensus positions on Israel are reinforced, rather than excised to accommodate the Republican party’s growing rejection of them," Bayroff added.
AIPAC, on the other hand, lobbied in favor of the bill and hailed its passing.

Curious how those people are members of Congress and represent enormous power granted to them by the people. Were America a real, white supremacist, racist country, they'd be folding laundry and pushing brooms. Instead, they use their actual, inherent bias against those of us who believe in the system that let them rise to such prominence, including the Judaeo-Christian alliance that made America the beacon of freedom in the world.
[OneIndia] The controversial issue of Moslem girls wearing 'hijab' in educational institutions, which had hit national headlines last year with a government pre-university college in Udupi banning it inside classrooms, does not appear to be a serious campaign issue for the May 10 elections to the Karnataka Assembly.
The BJP government in the state had in an order last year banned wearing of hijab inside campuses after the controversy broke out, saying 'any clothing that would disturb equality, integrity and public law and order' will not be allowed. Students were directed to wear only the uniforms prescribed for them in schools and PU colleges. The order was apassed after several hijab-wearing girls in the state were denied entry into educational institutions wearing hijab.
The move had led to widespread protests across the country. The Karnataka High Court upheld the government order after a few Moslem girl students moved the court. The judgement was then challenged before the Supreme Court, which subsequently delivered a split verdict in October. The matter will be later heard by a larger bench. BJP's poster boy of the hijab row, Yashpal Suvarna, is now the party's candidate for the Udupi Assembly constituency.

[GEO.TV] Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree... said Tuesday that on the next foundation day of his party, it would be in power — as he campaigns for the upcoming elections in Punjab.
Punjab's polls have been marred by controversy as the government has rejected Supreme Court's order — issued on PTI's petition — to hold the elections on May 14, while the date for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's elections is yet to be announced.
The Pakistain Democratic Movement, which is in power in the centre, has stressed that elections to the national and provincial assemblies should be held simultaneously.
In this regard, the top court is still hearing a petition and has asked all political parties to decide a date for the elections. The government will meet tomorrow and inform the court about the decision the next day.
"On the 28th anniversary of Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf, you will be in power," Khan said during his address via video link to the workers on the party's 27th foundation day.
Khan founded the PTI on April 25, 1996, in Lahore. The party won its first seat during the 2002 elections when the deposed prime minister won the National Assembly seat of Mianwali.
In the address, Khan asked his workers to work for "real freedom", noting that prosperity comes through justice, democracy, and freedom.
"If there is any political force that can fix all the woes of the country, it is PTI," Khan — who was ousted as the prime minister in April last year through a no-confidence motion — said.
The PTI chief stressed that whoever wins elections, wins them through fair means — a response to his political opponents who have said that even if the polls are held earlier than scheduled, Khan won't accept the results.
"We will come into power through public mandate. I hope that our country comes out of the quagmire it is in next year," the former prime minister said.
Khan said when his party came into power in the centre in 2018, the then-opposition called PTI "selected". But now, he said: "I want to tell them: come to the battleground; the establishment is also backing you."

[GEO.TV] In his maiden presser after assuming the post of Director-General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry Tuesday reiterated the army’s stance that it does not have a leaning towards any political party or ideology as the Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... (PTI) calls on the establishment for intervening in politics.
"The Pakistain Army is a national army. All political parties are respectable for us [...] but we do not lean towards any political party or ideology," the ISPR DG said while addressing the presser at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The army's spokespersons have repeatedly denied that the military is leaning towards anyone as political parties blame each other for having the establishment's backing.
"If any army was used to further a specific political ideology anywhere in the world, it led to anarchy," the ISPR DG said and called upon Pakistain's politicianship to support the military's professional thinking.
The ISPR DG added that the government and the military have constitutional and non-political ties — a stance that the army has long stood by. "This non-political relationship should not be given a political colour."
With several retired army men supporting PTI, the ISPR DG said that the veterans' organizations should not become political as their purpose was to ensure veterans' welfare and highlight their issues.
INDIAN PROPAGANDA During his presser, Major General Chaudhry said India's propaganda still continues against Pakistain as he slammed the neighbouring nation for ceasefire violations.
The ISPR DG said that India had committed several ceasefire violations along the LoC this year and Pakistain had also taken down six Indian spy quadcopters.
He noted that Pakistain had taken United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... observers to the Line of Control (LoC) several times, while India had not done the same.
"India's aggressive designs and baseless allegations cannot change history. India cannot change the historical status of Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... . If India plans any adventure, Pak forces will give a strong response."
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir visited the LoC on his first tour after becoming army chief, he recalled.
"Pakistain has fought the war against terrorism for two decades. Every Pak soldier is devoted to faith and piety."
Referring to Operation Swift Retort in 2019 — in which Pakistain Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian aircraft inside Pak airspace and arrested an Indian pilot on the ground — the military spokesperson said that Pakistain could defend its territory.
Pakistain's situation holds importance in India's internal matters, he said, adding that the Indian government talks about Pakistain's politics also to divert attention from its own problems.
India has been conducting false flag operations and propaganda against Pakistain, he iterated. "Some local elements advance India's agenda knowingly or

[IsraelTimes] As official event held in Jerusalem, demonstrators protest against judicial overhaul, declare Israeli democracy under attack
The sub rosa war of the Biden administration against Bibi Netanyahu continues, determined as they are to get their money’s worth from their payments to far left Israeli “activists”, Movement for Quality Government (MQG). MQG is the current name of Antifa’s branch in Israel for driving Bibi Netanyahu and his supporters out of politics.
Tens of thousands of people held a protest against the government on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv to coincide with the official Independence Day ceremony in Jerusalem that was attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior ministers and officials.
The Tel Aviv rally was organized by screeching muppets who have led opposition to the government’s planned far-reaching changes to the judiciary, which critics say would weaken the country’s democratic foundations.
Organizers described it as an "independence party," and it included music, performances by high-profile singers, and speeches from protest leaders.
Leading figures from the anti-government movement read out sections from Israel’s Declaration of Independence, among them former defense minister and IDF chief of staff Moshe Ya’alon, fellow former Israeli Air Forces commander Dan Halutz and award-winning actress Hanna Azoulay Hasfari.
"Israel is marking 75 years since its founding while under a relentless attack on Israeli democracy that is tearing the people apart," organizers said in a statement.
"Facing the attackers are millions of Israelis who love the country, who will not give up even an iota of democracy and equality."
The protesters gathered at the Azrieli Junction and then blocked Kaplan Street and other roads in the area.
As they paraded, some unfurled a huge "Torch of Democracy" banner.
Police issued an alert to drivers of likely heavy congestion across Tel Aviv as a result.
Also Tuesday evening, about a thousand people attended a protest rally in Jerusalem, held close to the location of the official Independence Day ceremony at Mount Herzl.
As a pre-recorded video message from Netanayhau was screened at the official event, the demonstrators sang the national anthem.
The prime minister did not deliver a live speech at the ceremony, which was held under tight security amid fears screeching muppets would attempt a publicity stunt or disrupt the event.
Smaller protests were held in other locations including Raanana, Yehud, and Zichron Yaakov.
Though the overhaul legislation has been put on hold while the government conducts negotiations for an agreement with opposition parties, mass weekly protests have continued, spearheaded by gatherings on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv.
