[Gateway] Prior to the 2020 election, The Gateway Pundit released sordid details from the Hunter Biden laptop. The mainstream media and regime lapdogs refused to report on the criminal conduct of Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and the Biden Crime Family, in order to protect them days before the 2020 election.
The Gateway Pundit reported in October 2020 on Hunter Biden’s Russian orgies, his many nights with Russian hookers, his father wiring him money for his prostitutes, and his fears of being blackmailed by the Putin regime.
Now there is more evidence that it was not just Hunter Biden who was linked to the Russian prostitutues. According to Marjorie Taylor Greene, the House Oversight Committee has evidence the entire Biden Crime Family was involved in human trafficking that involves prostitutes from Russia, Ukraine and the US.

And what's going to be done about it? Not holding my breath.

I watched the Bobolinski interviews back a couple of years ago. Everyone with a computer saw Hunter’s statements and emails from his laptop. This bomb is like someone trying to tell me about an exciting new store called Walmart.

[Epoch Times] A former government official who claims he is nonbinary has been ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation after avoiding jail time for a series of luggage thefts.
Samuel Brinton, until recently a deputy assistant secretary in the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, was able to enter an adult diversion program for the theft he carried out at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in 2022 while still being employed by the government.
Brinton must undergo a mental health evaluation as well as fulfill other requirements, including writing a letter of apology to the person who owned the luggage that was stolen. Only THEN can he go back to work for Brandon.
Brinton departed the Department of Energy by the end of 2022, the agency told news outlets. It remains unclear whether Brinton was terminated or resigned. Brinton was placed on administrative leave when initially facing charges. According to a document obtained by Townhall, Brinton was paid his six-figure salary while on administrative leave.
The document shows that Brinton’s access to government buildings was revoked and that Brinton’s government email and phone were suspended while on leave.

I'd strap him into a restraint chair, but he'd probably enjoy it...
[RS] An IRS watchdog has turned whistleblower and is alleging that federal prosecutors engaged in "preferential treatment and politics" in their treatment of President Joe Biden’s son Hunter—and even tried to block criminal tax charges against him.
In a letter to the chairs of investigative committees in the House and Senate, attorney Mark D. Lytle wrote that he represents a career IRS Criminal Supervisory Special Agent "who has been overseeing the ongoing and sensitive investigation of a high-profile, controversial subject since early 2020 and would like to make protected whistleblower disclosures to Congress."
CBS News’ Catherine Herridge shared the letter on Twitter:

Interesting article in American Thinker that points out that "the the Wall Street Journal ran an exclusive story about an IRS whistleblower who said that their probe is being mishandled. This is potentially explosive news. But instead of receiving the Laptop from Hell treatment, the exclusive story was widely picked up by corporate media"...
Significant coverage by CBS, WaPo, CNN, Newsweek.
"...stories are aimed at persuading Jill Biden that the price of pressing forward with re-election plans will be high for all members of the family.
Meanwhile, watch for Susan Rice to become more visible as a real power in the White House"
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Jim Hoft previously reported 51 former intelligence officials in October 2020 signed and published a letter that baselessly decried the contents of Hunter’s ‘laptop from hell’ had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
The deep state stooges claimed the laptop looked like Russian disinformation without citing any actual evidence to back up the claim. Rather, the officials based their fallacious statements on their so-called experience.
Reporters led by Natasha Bertrand, who wrote the original Politico article citing the intelligence officials, knew the officials’ claims were completely false yet they chose to gaslight the public anyway.

Republicans in the House of Representatives control the purse strings. Now would be a good time to use that control for good...if they only have the guts.

#2 Abu Uluque has it right.
I think that the House's conditions for raising the debt ceiling are a very good start. Though the requirement to roll back total spending to 2022 levels will be a bloodbath, given the 8.7% increase in Social Security this year and the almost $1B cost of servicing the existing debt at current higher levels.

Again, if they have the guts. Meanwhile, keep giving Ukraine hundreds of millions. About those purse strings....
[NYPOST] A federal judge on Wednesday shot down Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg ...Soros-financed, -owned, and -operated woke Manhattan DA. A prosecutorial loose cannon who feels entitled to pick and choose which laws to enforce and can't be bothered to respond civilly to Congressional inquiries unless they're from Dems... ’s attempt to block a former prosecutor in his office from testifying before the House Judiciary Committee about the criminal case against Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... The committee and its chairman, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), had subpoenaed ex-assistant district attorney Mark Pomerantz to give testimony about the DA’s investigation into Trump, 76, that culminated in the former president’s indictment in March.
Bragg filed suit against Jordan and the Judiciary Committee, claiming the subpoena was an overreach by the GOP-led House and an attempt to influence a state criminal proceeding.
But Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil found the subpoena was issued with a "valid legislative purpose" and that it was not the role of the federal judiciary to dictate how Congress operates.
"Mr. Pomerantz must appear for the congressional deposition. No one is above the law," Vyskocil wrote in an opinion issued after a Manhattan federal court hearing. "Even a Democrat"
Pomerantz is scheduled to give the deposition Thursday morning — unless Bragg’s office secures a delay from a federal appeals court. Both the DA’s office and Pomerantz appealed the ruling later Wednesday.
Jordan issued the subpoena ostensibly to investigate if and how federal funds were used in the investigation into Trump by Bragg’s office.

Reading the leftist Democrats comments it's clear they have no idea of how to file a stay. This judge laid it out in minute detail what was wrong with Bragg's bid. Mark Pomerantz wrote a book detailing his complaints with Bragg so there is no DA privelege .

[PJMedia] It’s official now: on Wednesday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that he was challenging Old Joe Biden for the 2024 Democratic nomination for president. It was a momentous occasion not just because a member of the famous family was once again running for president, but because RFK Jr.’s candidacy represents the first time in recent memory that the choice between Democrat presidential contenders wasn’t a choice between Socialist and Socialister. Whatever else he is, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is an independent thinker, and such people are in extremely short supply these days.
Kennedy, CNN reported with an unmistakable tone of disapproval, “used his campaign launch speech to lambast school and business closures during the coronavirus pandemic and to insist that government and media ‘lie to us.’”
[PJMEDIA] Senator John Fetterman ...the brain-damaged Dem U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania... (D-Pa.) has finally returned to Capitol Hill, having spent most of his tenure as a U.S. senator at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center being treated for clinical depression. Fetterman was discharged on March 31. While it’s good that he’s progressed with mental health issues, we haven’t forgotten about the lingering cognitive impairments that became a major issue of the campaign, as it was clear to anyone that this man wasn’t fit to serve in the U.S. Senate.
His May 2022 stroke left him incapacitated for weeks, and he was lucky to survive. Despite this, he chose to continue campaigning, which could have potentially led to permanent brain damage, according to those close to him. Despite his prolonged period away from the Senate, it doesn’t appear that he’s experienced any improvement in his recovery from his stroke, and that was abundantly clear from watching him chair the Senate Subcommittee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry.
Even the Washington Post couldn’t deny the obvious. "Though his voice stumbled at times while reading from prepared notes, Fetterman appeared in good spirits as he gaveled in a hearing focused on the benefits of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP," the paper reported. "Republicans have proposed increasing the number of people who must meet work requirements to qualify for SNAP."
Video from the hearing is difficult to watch. We all know much of these hearings are scripted, but Fetterman sounds like he’s reading from his prepared remarks for the first time and doesn’t seem to understand what he’s saying. I’d feel bad for him if it wasn’t his fault he was in this position in the first place.

[NYPOST] Word out of Albany is that Gov. Kathy Hochul has yet to get the Legislature’s leaders to go along with allowing 100 or so more charter schools to open in New York City, but at best around a dozen.
That’s a loss for the city’s kids — but far worse is another new wrinkle, a deadly threat to the city’s existing charters.
Rumor has it that politicians are pushing to rescind or water down the state law that guarantees the Department of Education provide space for charter schools, or help cover rent if nothing’s available. This is utter poison.
Charter schools are public schools, but run outside the local bureaucracy.
Their students have as much right to public space as those in the regular system.
And room shouldn’t be an issue in the city or most of the state, where standard-public-school enrollments have plummeted in recent years.
Even pre-COVID, the DOE had more than 100,000 empty seats in its school buildings.
The United Federation of Teachers and allied unions, which detest charters because they succeed where UFT-controlled schools fail, have spent more than a decade warring on charter "co-locations" — that is, a charter sharing a school building with a district school.
In a series of fear-mongering campaigns, they’ve gotten rules imposed that set the bar far higher for a charter to share than for multiple district schools to do so.

We don't need no education. We don't need no thought control.
A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
