[ZERO] "It’s as bad as we thought... Since we’ve last spoken we have bank records in hand. We have individuals who are working with our committee," Committee chair James Comer (R-KY) told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures."
"In the last two weeks we’ve met with either these individuals personally or with their attorneys. And that would be four individuals who had ties in with the Biden family in their various schemes around the world. So now we have in hand documents We have in hand documents in hand that show just how the Biden family was getting money from the Chinese Communist Party."

The fatal flaw in our governmental system is once the executive branch civil-service was salted, layers deep, with career, immune political partisans (Obama/Biden), and the key federal law enforcement entities concerned with enforcement of federal crimes (DoJ/FBI) are corrupted and cowed, there is no tool to remove the cancer, or to prevent the systemic destruction that is now underway. Absent a military seizure of government, we are witnessing the creation of a self-sustaining, Imperial Executive, with theatrical window-dressing of purported checks-and-balances, but no actual, serious impediments. When they steal the next election cycle it will cement the power of the transformational "change you can believe in".
The annual Gridiron Dinner, where select news people and politicians try hard to be funny.
[IsraelTimes] Ex-US vice president, who hasn’t yet declared 2024 candidacy, issues sharp condemnation of former boss, whom he jokes wouldn’t have known about classified docs found in Bible
Former US vice president Mike Pence on Saturday harshly criticized former US President Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... for his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol, widening the rift between the two men as they prepare to battle over the Republican nomination in next year’s election.
"President Trump was wrong," Pence said during remarks at the annual white-tie Gridiron Dinner attended by politicians and journalists. "I had no right to overturn the election. And his reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day, and I know history will hold Donald Trump accountable."
Pence’s remarks were the sharpest condemnation yet from the once-loyal lieutenant who has often shied away from confronting his former boss. Trump has already declared his candidacy. Pence has not, but he’s been laying the groundwork to run.
In the days leading up to Jan. 6, 2021, Trump pressured Pence to overturn US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The guy who lost Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle... ’s election victory as he presided over the ceremonial certification of the results.
Pence refused, and when rioters stormed the Capitol, some chanted that they wanted to "hang Mike Pence."
The House committee that investigated the attack said in its final report that "the President of the United States had riled up a mob that hunted his own Vice President."
With his remarks, Pence solidified his place in a broader debate within the Republican Party over how to view the attack. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... , for example, recently provided Tucker Carlson with an archive of security camera footage from Jan. 6, which the Fox News host has used to downplay the day’s events and promote conspiracy theories.
"Make no mistake about it, what happened that day was a disgrace," Pence said in his Gridiron Dinner remarks. "And it mocks decency to portray it any other way."
Trump, meanwhile, has continued to spread lies about his election loss. He’s even spoken in support of the rioters and said he would consider pardoning them if he were reelected.
Speeches at the Gridiron Dinner are usually humorous affairs, where politicians poke fun at each other, and Pence did plenty of that as well.
He joked that Trump’s ego was so fragile, he wanted his vice president to sing "Wind Beneath My Wings" — one of the lines is "did you ever know that you’re my hero?" — during their weekly lunches.
He took another shot at Trump over classified documents.
"I read that some of those classified documents they found at Mar-a-Lago were actually stuck in the president’s Bible," Pence said. "Which proves he had absolutely no idea they were there."
Even before the dinner was over, Pence was facing criticism for his jokes about Transportation Secretary Buttigieg, the first openly gay Cabinet member in US history.
Pence mentioned that, despite travel problems that were plaguing Americans, Buttigieg took "maternity leave" after he and his husband adopted newborn twins.
"Pete is the only person in human history to have a child and everyone else gets post-partum depression," Pence said.

Pence was part of the D.C. establishment. Another hiring mistake by the Donald, unless Pence was forced upon him. The John Bolton deal still give me fits.

Too many newbies like Trump get elected and start to realize they don't have the knowledge of or control over the way the Swamp and its creatures work.
So you get Rinos proliferating due to their "expertse" in gaming the system. And the firebrand of the newbie movement is doused by the Swamps fire hose of uni-party $#!T.
#10
Had Pence moved to overturn the election he would have an even chance of winning in 2024. Instead he elected to save his skin and will go down in history as another scumbag politician.

Too many newbies like Trump get elected and start to realize they don't have the knowledge of or control over the way the Swamp and its creatures work.
Another part of that is this - essentially the problem is it's Trump vs. 2 million Federal employees. Granted someome with knowledge of the Swamp would've done better, but I don't know how much better that would have been. I think the solution is to get Trumps (i.e., someone in genuine opposition to the Democrat Party) at all levels of the Swamp / hackerama, but there's some in the House now, and good freakin' luck with that in the Senate.
#12
Pency baby. Enjoy your retirement. Maybe ghost write a book for $millions that no one will buy. You'll never be elected to another office or be taken seriously on the affairs of this nation ever again.

For those who believe that the VP has the right to overturn the election (and Trump has publicly said he wanted Pence to do this):
Would you please quote the relevant text in the Constitution?
And do you believe that Kamala Harris also has this right?

If the VP didn't have the right (and the duty!) to _contest_ the election (not overturn it) then why does the constitution have a role for him at all? Why not just say "the secretaries of state will forward their decision and that's final?"
#19
I have done it. The 12A is very clear about the role of the VP. But I repeat my question: If you think Pence had the right, do you think Harris also has it?
"why does the constitution have a role for him at all?"
Because those who wrote the 12A wanted it this way?

Since we were asking for a look at the _evidence_ and not for the immediate execution of the malefactors, I would presume that Harris would have the right to _present evidence that the process had become corrupt_. Which is all that Pence had said he would himself in the preceeding week.
(I keep trying to post the damn video, but it keeps getting rejected).
#23
If Pence hadn’t authenticated the electors votes congress would not have been able to certify the vote. Some say those inactions would have created some kind of crisis. Others say the vote goes to the Supreme Court.
#24
"For those who believe that the VP has the right to overturn the election... Would you please quote the relevant text in the Constitution?"
I'll play.
The Constitution assigns crafting laws to the Congress. And it follows the Electoral Count Act of 1887 is downstream from this assignment of making laws by the Constitution.
So with that out of the away...
"Would you please quote the relevant text in the Constitution?"
See above.
Is certifying the election in alignment with the Electoral Count Act of 1887, is this 'certification' process largely a ceremonial act?
Is the certification process a binary choice?
Or is the certification process just to give govt the appearance of legitimacy?
Can you legally object to the Electoral Count Act of 1887?
Colloquially, we all have our own definitions of Democracy and a Republic. Which for these legalese word games, it ultimately fails. You can change definitions and hide behind word firewalls, but in the end it ultimately fails because even dogs and monkeys understand when they are cheated.

I think what everyone is getting at, is that by whatever means and ultimate processes, if they had tried:
1)we would now know what that process is (or was and could tweak it)
2)would not looked like rollovers and early folders when the other players at the table are playing for keeps, and led to easy shoulder shrugging during the Georgia special and in many locations, these last midterms.
Looking at the past 2 years, "But it would shut down the government!" would have been an overwhelmingly positive development. There is no decency in that room to mock.

I am shocked. I had no idea Germany gave up using Fräulein for unmarried females as being sexist because there is no equivalent for unmarried men — banned by the West Germany Ministry of the Interior in 1972, while I was still actively studying the language. Nor do I recall my Berlitz tutor mentioning it when we were preparing to move there in 1990.

What we have now is politicians saying "Bürgerinnen und Bürger" in every sentence, teachers "Schülerinnen und Schüler" in every other one.
In state TV, it's worse. The "glottisschlag" (glottal stop) unknown in the German language until now, is spreading like a fever. So now it's "Bürger:innen" (with : or a * marking a stop).
It can easily get absurd: What's the plural form of "mayor" (of a city)? Bürger:innenmeister:innen?
This is just the beginning. A new law says you can simply chose your gender officially (to be written in your passport) by declaring it to the authorities. No need to do anything else.

We document only a few of the examples of gender bending here in the U.S., Xyz. The core culture is solid, but the ruling class is doing its best to pervert things in all possible ways.
The core culture in Europe is fairly solid, too, but they as a group they are slower to disbelieve and challenge what they are assured is the way of the future — though much quicker to strike, march, and riot when they do.
[NYPOST] Hedge-fund manager Bill Ackman predicted that an "economic meltdown" was looming on Monday following Friday’s collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
In a rambling, 649-word, one-paragraph tweet Saturday, the billionaire predicted that uninsured bank customers would rush to withdraw cash Monday unless the government steps in to guarantee their funds and "fix a-soon-to-be-irreversible mistake."
The 16th largest bank in the US, which provided financing for a large chunk of the country’s venture backed tech and health companies, was taken over by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Friday as its stock plummeted due to liquidity concerns tied to rising interest rates.
It marked the largest bank collapse since the 2008 financial crisis, and it stranded billions of dollars belonging to companies and investors, whose deposits in excess of $250,000 are not covered by the FDIC.

There have been several auctions today of short term US Treasury paper, interest rates have fallen a bit compared to results of the preceding 4 weeks or so. This could be expected since (I imagine) those who can have put money into Treasury Direct programs, etc. after removing it from their bank deposits. I bought a 26 week bill in today's auction, my interest rate will be about 4.8%, down from 5.2% last week. 4.8% is still better than I can make at most banks I know of. This interest rate results from the auction and was not set by the federal regulators.

^^^ #8 Joe Biden's speech he just gave may cause bank stocks to crash even more.

I made that prediction before the markets opened, immediately after Biden's speech because he made the most stupidest, ignorant, flippant, careless, irresponsible, "class clown" remark that did not need to be made at this time of the crisis regarding bank stocks that really spooked investors big time, obviously.

^^^ That could be because investors were moving money from crashing bank stocks to other types of stocks to other stable stocks causing those to increase in value.
Also, Charles Swab is the only financial firm that released a positive statement before the opening bell and that immediately turned their stock values around.
Very surreal as to how words made huge impacts all around early this morning.
[Townhall] With Republicans' takeover of the House, they have officially cracked down on holding Democrats accountable for everything wreaking havoc on the U.S., including the origins of Covid19.
Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla) is accusing President Joe Biden of "dragging his feet" on legislation that would "open Pandora's Box" on how the Chinese virus was leaked. He's dragging his feet til the CCP ups the bribe to veto it
"I think that the writing is on the wall for the Biden administration," Cammack said during an interview." When you have Republicans and Democrats unanimously voting to declassify these intel reports, that's pretty telling."
Both the House and Senate voted to pass the Covid Origins Act, which would force the Biden administration to declassify all information it has on where the virus originated from.
The act now heads to Biden's desk. However, he has yet to sign it.
"When you think about his reasons for dragging his feet, maybe it has to do with the fact that it really would force them to act. They would have to take action against China. They would have to take action on all the funding sources for the W.H.O. for N.I.H., C.D.C., F.D.A.," Cammack continued.
The Republican said the legislation would expose the "deeply rooted collusion" of how social media companies and the Biden White House worked together to suppress and censor opinions on Covid-19.
"This really is the worst thing that could happen for the Biden Administration because it flies in the face of the narrative they've been pushing for years," Cammack said. "And I would say follow the money."
Cammack's remarks come after Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) sent a letter to communist dictator Xi Jinping on Friday, telling him to "come clean" about the origins of the coronavirus as the act waits on Biden to sign it.
