Just so happens, I was in the grocery checkout line (filling out my loan application for eggs) and saw this on the magazine rack. She has her own publication, with her face on the cover, so there's that...

TALIBAN SECURITY OPERATIONS UPDATE – The Taliban have approximately 300 personnel involved in the search effort across Kabul. An additional 8 security checkpoints have been set up across the city. The searches over the past twenty-four hours seem to have included several arrests. Early reports indicated that several Panjshiri youth were detained in sweeps across PD 2. Their status/disposition is currently unknown. The following Police Districts had confirmed search activity (some locations were searched previously):
PD 7 - Gozar Gah, Wassel Abad, Chihil Sutun, South Aqa Ali Shams, Deh Dana
PAKISTAN PESHAWAR POLICE SEARCHES – As a part of counter-terror operations, Pakistani Police went through many of the city’s hostels yesterday and were verifying documentation of those foreigners lodged there. Passports and visas were inspected. It was not clear if any arrests had been made by the end of the day.
PAKISTAN POLICE MOSQUE BOMBING INVESTIGATORS SAY THE PLOT WAS PLANNED IN AFGHANISTAN, SUPPORTED BY FOREIGNERS – Investigators interviewed by two prominent news organizations say they have identified the bomber through his DNA as Mohammed Ayaz (37) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 17 people have been arrested by police during the investigation and investigators say they have details related to the planning that indicate it took place in Afghanistan. They went on to say that a ‘foreign intelligence agency’ funded the attack but did not go into details on exactly who they thought was responsible. A delegation of government and religious officials from Pakistan was said to be meeting with the Taliban’s Supreme Leader soon but there is some confusion about where and when the meeting may take place. Pakistan is expected to ask Akhundzada to disavow the TTP and assist Pakistan in neutralizing the terror group. Our analysis suggests the request may fall on deaf ears as the TTP have approximately 5,000 members actively serving in the Taliban’s security forces and could pose a significant threat in Afghanistan should a deal be made between Pakistan and the Taliban. Ultimately, we expect an announcement about cooperation and/or facilitation of dialogue but Pakistan should expect the status quo to remain in effect.
TALIBAN IMPOSES LIMITS ON FOREIGN CURRENCIES AT BORDERS/AIRPORTS – The Taliban announced new limits on the amounts of foreign currencies travelers would be allowed to take/bring with them when they travel (US dollars were specifically mentioned). While several bans have been tried in the past, they were not particularly well enforced. The move was urged by leaders of the central bank who are concerned about the devaluation of the Afghani.
PUBLIC FLOGGINGS IN GHOR – The punishments were doled out yesterday in Firozkoh to 7 people (1 woman among them). The people had been condemned over a variety of infractions ranging from alcohol consumption to infidelity. The condemned faced between 15-39 lashes, depending on the crimes they were accused of.
NEXT 24 HOURS
SEARCHES AND SECURITY OPERATIONS TO CONTINUE – We have no indications that security operations will halt. We do not have information about which neighborhoods will be searched today.
RESULTS OF PAKISTAN INVESTIGATION COULD MEAN CROSS-BORDER COUNTER-TERROR OPERATIONS – While Pakistan is dealing with significant domestic issues, the announcement of Afghanistan’s use as a base to launch the bombing of the Mosque in Peshawar could precipitate Pakistani strikes or raids across the border.

Kithure Kindiki, who is the Interior Cabinet Secretary, said the ongoing crackdown against al-Shabaab could trigger them to cross over to the country and probably cause mayhem. Somalia has been pursuing the bully boyz in all fronts for the last seven months, killing hundreds in the process.
The Interior CS stated that they have stepped up our border patrols to prevent the proliferation of illicit arms, illicit drugs.
"Our security agencies are alert to ensure that these bully boyz do not cross into our territory to keep them at bay now that this terror group is its weakest," he said.
The minister, who visited Mandera County and other surrounding areas, noted that intelligence services are cooperating well in the fight against the turbans. He said Kenya is ready to work closely with Somalia to defeat the turbans.
"We are always aware that forces of Evil only need one lucky break to hurt our Country and inflict us with pain. We must always strike first and fast to neutralise them and obliterate their nefarious networks," he said.
Kindiki said security teams have managed to neutralize many terror attacks in northeastern Kenya, adding that several weapons have also been destroyed in the process. He also said since William Ruto took over, crime rates in the country has reduced by 13.5 percent.

Istanbul police have arrested 15 suspects connected to the Islamic State terror group, who were allegedly plotting to target synagogues and churches there, Ottoman Turkish media reported on Sunday.
"15 people were detained on the grounds that the so-called Khorasan Province leadership of ISIS [IS] ordered an action against the Swedish and Dutch consulate generals and places of worship belonging to our Christian and Jewish citizens in Istanbul," Istanbul police said in a statement according to the Ottoman Turkish daily, Hurriyet.
Last month, the US state department issued a warning to US citizens residing in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... that terror attacks could be imminent against diplomatic institutions and places Westerners are known to congregate, specifically naming churches and synagogues.
The potential attacks were believed to be retaliation for the public burning of a Koran by a far-right Danish politician outside of the Ottoman Turkish embassy in Stockholm, Sweden, in late January. The Koran burning ...One of the basic tenets of Islam is that once a Koran has been printed it is expected to last for all time, no matter how old, ratty, and smelly other, lesser holy books may become. Should it actually become necessary to put a Koran out of its misery there is a ritual that includes extensive charivari, featuring long drawn-wailing and head bonking, ritual wife beating, and the sacrifice of dozens of women's noses and pubic lips. When the actual disposal has been completed there is a prescribed period of celebratory gun sex with the expectation of a minimum of two hundred casualties. Should actual infidels dispose of a Koran, Islamic custom calls for three weeks of rioting and a minimum of three dozen dead, which is a holdover from the days of Moloch worship.... sparked an outcry in Turkey and across the Islamic world, and a Moslem man threatened to burn a Torah scroll outside of Stockholm’s Israeli embassy.
Sweden’s Jewish community condemned the Koran burning.
Ottoman Turkish Jewish institutions have been targeted before by holy warriors responding to geopolitical issues. In 2003, al-Qaeda orchestrated a wave of bombings in Istanbul, hitting symbolic Western targets, such as the British consulate and local headquarters of the British HSBC bank. They also bombed two Ottoman Turkish synagogues, killing 28 people and injuring hundreds.
The suspects arrested Sunday were allegedly affiliated with the "Khorasan" wing of the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS-K, who have warred with the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... in Afghanistan. They are focused on Khorasan, a region that historically covered the eastern frontier of the ancient Persian Empire.

A security source affiliated with the Peshmerga forces told Shafaq News agency that the bandidosfaceless myrmidons kidnapped a 19-year-old man north of Tuz Khurmato at the borders of Kifri district.
ISIS sent a text message to the kidnapped's family demanding a large sum of money. He said.
It is worth noting that the region between the borders of Saladin and Iraqi Kurdistan witnessed many kidnapped cases due to the security vacuums, where ISIS seeks to infiltrate the inhabited areas, abducting shepherds and farmers to obtain funds.

A Paleostinian teenager was killed in armed festivities with Israeli troops early Tuesday in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, the military and Paleostinian health officials said.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, a Paleostinian gunman shot up troops operating in Nablus. The forces returned fire and the suspect was hit, the IDF said.
According to the Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry, 17-year-old Hamza Amjad al-Ashqar was fatally shot in the head.
Images circulating online showed al-Ashqar brandishing an assault rifle, indicating his possible affiliation with a local gang.
The Nablus-based Lion’s Den terror group in a statement claimed to have shot up Israeli forces in the city.
The IDF said bombs, Molotov cocktails and stones were also hurled at troops operating in Nablus.
Separately in other areas of the West Bank, troops detained nine wanted Paleostinians in overnight raids, and seized several weapons, the IDF said.
In the village of Burqin near Jenin, the IDF said troops came under "massive gunfire" by Paleostinian button men, and bombs hurled at forces damaged several army vehicles. Four wanted Paleostinians were detained in the village, the IDF said.
No Israeli soldiers were hurt during the festivities and overnight raids, the military said.
