[Gateway] Prison for the wealthy elite is a lot different than prison for the average citizen.
The Daily Mail has reported that convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell will receive a vegan Thanksgiving meal by request.
Maxwell will be giving a Tofurky which is a turkey made out of tofu.
Other items on the menu will include cornbread, collard greens, rolls, mac and cheese, cranberry sauce, soda, sweet potato pie, fruit, and a slew of desserts.
Besides being catered to her tastebuds, the low-security prison where she is staying will also host Thanksgiving activities such as a kickball and volleyball game.
After having their grand meal Maxwell and other inmates at FCI Tallahassee will be able to indulge in holiday movies after their Thanksgiving meal is finished.
Life at FCI hasn’t been too much of a punishment for someone who was found guilty of child sex trafficking.
A normal day at FCI Tallahassee consists of various activities such as yoga, pilates, flag football, softball, and cosmetology class.
[Daily Wire] Disney’s latest agenda-pushing project is off to a brutal start at the box office.
"Strange World," an animated film featuring a gay teen romance, opened Wednesday with a poor $4.2 million in ticket sales and is projected to bring in as little as $21 million over what should be a strong holiday weekend, according to Bloomberg. The film, which pushes sexual orientation and climate agendas, is on track to be Disney’s latest over-woke nightmare.
"That’s a terrible result for the $180 million-budgeted animated adventure," wrote Variety’s Brent Lang, noting that last Thanksgiving’s Disney animated film, "Encanto," was deemed a disappointment after taking in $40.3 million over the long weekend.
Disney alienated many fans earlier this year when it featured a lesbian kiss in "Lightyear," the latest installment in its "Toy Story" franchise. The company also didn’t feature conservative actor Tim Allen as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the film, which bombed at the box office.
"Strange World" tells the story of gay teen Ethan, voiced by Jaboukie Young-White, who has the support of his loving, biracial parents, Searcher (Jake Gyllenhaal), and Meridian (Gabrielle Union). The family rejects its fabled heritage as explorers to farm, but ends up pulled back into the family business to hunt for Searcher’s father, Jaeger (Dennis Quaid), who went missing when he was a child. Their search, aided by their disabled dog, takes them to Avalonia, a strange world with a fragile ecosystem. Ethan struggles to get past his shyness around his love interest, a boy named Diazo.
Seattle Times critic Soren Andersen wrote that the film features an "uneasy marriage of clunky psychodrama and overwrought special effects" that made it "a chore to sit through."
In addition to flopping at the box office, "Strange World" is not upholding Disney’s tradition of animated success. It earned a CinemaScore rating of B, the lowest rating ever for a Disney animated feature. Every Disney animated film since "Beauty and the Beast" has received some form of an A, from A+ to A-. The film also had very mediocre scores from audiences, including 59% on Rotten Tomatoes.

....Industry sources are saying that Strange World will be on Disney + before Christmas.
And apparently, Disney + is sinking...
Disney chose to ride the tiger.

Nah, they are going to fk all the classics two ways in their flailing about. Lord of the Rings and Willow, for examples. Watch, they'll even manage to ruin their own Infinity War Storyline - see Falcon and the Snowman Winter Soldier.
[BNSOMALIA] A passenger who was missing from a cruise ship, passing through the Gulf of Mexico, was rescued after more than 15 hours at sea, according to US Coast Guard.
The 28-year-old man was in a bar on Wednesday night at Carnival Valor, along with his sister.
But he didn't come back, after he left, to reach the bathroom.
Several rescue crews, patrolled the water near the ship, and the man was last seen Thursday evening, 20 miles (30km ) off the coast of Louisiana.
It is said that his condition is now good.

Wild West?
People had been carrying for years. With or without carry laws.
I suspect the number reported is much higher as many who carry will not disclose it.
"When seconds count, police are minutes away."
Police response times in my area run around 15 to 20 mins, and most of us do own or carry for self-protection.
But! Looking at this in a slightly different manner.
Couldn't this mean, with the LSD's agenda goal of "Defunding Local Police", coupled with the LSD's trying to ban private firearm ownership. That they want the criminal element to succeed in doing us in harm for a greater goal?
Do I hear distant cries for a Nationally (DC controlled) Police force in the makings?

Here in the Houston area there's 1-2 defensive shootings a week. Even the Harris County prosecutors won't dare to charge them because the grand juries will no bill it.

Here in Newsomland, we don't let Supreme Court decisions get in the way. Nothing has changed. Just try to get a Concealed Carry permit. We don't need no stinking Constitution telling us what to do!

I worked in Riyadh for 2 years back in the 90s. Back then they did not allow tourism. They do now, but for the life of me, I can't imagine why anyone would want to vacation there.

The impact is strictly disparate
If jurists are picked upon merit,
Good judgment, or morals.
Exams must be orals!
When prostitutes win, grin and bear it.
I removed the double quotation marks around the URL, and we’re good to go, Frank. Sometimes that turns out to be the problem… though other times the quotes are fine.
In Shanghai, China's most populous city and financial hub, protests broke out on Saturday night at the city's Wulumuqi Road
'Lift lockdown for Urumqi, lift lockdown for Xinjiang, lift lockdown for all of China!' the crowds in Shanghai shouted, according to a video on social media
At one point a large group began shouting, 'Down with the Chinese Communist Party, down with Xi Jinping, free Urumqi!', according to witnesses and videos in a rare public protest against the Chinese leadership
A large group of police looked on and sometimes tried to break up the crowd
China is battling a surge in infections that prompted lockdowns and restrictions in cities across the country
Beijing is attempting stick to a zero-COVID policy even as much of the world tries to coexist with the virus
Public fury forced authorities in Xinjiang to open up parts of the capital Urumqi which has been subject to a punishing 'zero-Covid' lockdown for over 3 months
The protests were triggered in-part by deaths of at least ten people in a fire at an apartment block who were unable to escape because their doors had been locked due to the virus

It is impossible to know just exactly what's going on in a totalitarian country like China. But this will end either with nothing at all or with some major changes.
The old adage applies to Xi and the leadership: You are bulletproof until you aren't.

The Times of Israel provides background and statistics to this story from yesterday.
[IsraelTimes] Before 2019, those American Jews who were even aware of the once-obscure Black Hebrew Israelite spiritual movement likely associated it with the loud but non-violent mostly peaceful street preachers who would harangue pedestrians in city centers. In December of that year, however, turbans professing Israelite beliefs attacked a kosher grocery store in Jersey City, New Jersey and a Hanukkah party in Monsey, New York. Two Jews were killed in Jersey City, and a 72-year-old rabbi who was stabbed in the head in Monsey died from his injuries three months later.
Rabbi Mordechai Lightstone of Crown Heights observed on Twitter that the Israelites who regularly preach near his home on Shabbat have been "particularly aggressive" of late, heaping verbal abuse on both him and his children. On Sunday afternoon, Lightstone posted a video of IUIC members assembling for their march and rehearsing their chants in Grand Army Plaza.
The recent IUIC rallies give the impression that the radical wing of the Hebrew Israelite movement is large and riled up. Meanwhile,

[Jpost] Human genomes have undergone drastic, hitherto unknown genetic changes in response to environmental pressures, according to a new study.
A new study has revealed groundbreaking details on human evolution by studying 45,000-year-old human DNA, finding that human genomes have undergone drastic, hitherto unknown genetic changes in response to environmental pressures.
The research, published on October 31 in the peer-reviewed journal Nature Ecology & Evolution, led researchers to find that the previously understood mode of selection in natural populations may be inaccurate, bringing the potential to help us better understand human evolution and genetics over time.
An international team of scientists, led by University of Adelaide in Australia, examined DNA from more than 1,000 ancient genomes, the oldest of which was around 45,000 years old, to see if certain types of genetic adaptation had been more common in human history than studies of modern genomes had suggested.
“It was widely believed the genetics of our human ancestors didn’t change due to environmental pressures as much as other animals, due to our enhanced communication skills and ability to make and use tools," study co-leader Dr. Yassine Souilmi explained.
CHALLENGING THE PREVAILING VIEW OF HUMAN ADAPTATION
“However, by comparing modern genomes with ancient DNA, we discovered more than 50 cases of an initially rare beneficial genetic variant becoming prevalent across all members of ancient human groups," he said.
“In contrast to many other species, evidence for this type of adaptive genetic change has been inconsistent in humans. This discovery consequently challenges the prevailing view of human adaptation, and gives us a new and exciting insight into how humans have adapted to the novel environmental pressures they encountered as we spread across the planet.”
