[FOX] MCDONOUGH, Ga. - Police are searching for seven women who police say left a McDonough restaurant without paying.
It happened on July 20 at the Miller's Ale House located at 1490 Georgia Highway 20. McDonough police released an image of the individuals on Thursday.
Investigators say they wore scrub tops that have an insignia that is believed to be associated with a local dental assistance program.
Anyone who recognizes them is asked to call the McDonough Police Department.
[FoxNews] Crimes Stoppers of Houston said the reading of more than 600 names of murder victims across Harris County over the past year 'would take hours'
On Sunday, crime victim advocates and murder victims' loved ones will gather in Houston for Crime Stoppers' annual "Day of Remembrance" as violence continues to grip cities around the country. This year's ceremony, however, will be different from years past.
Officials with Crime Stoppers of Houston said they expect a large crowd to gather in Houston's Midtown neighborhood to pay homage to those murdered in Harris County from August 2021 to August 2022. Unlike in past years, when organizers would read off each homicide victim's name, this year those names will scroll across a screen instead.
Organizers say there are simply too many names to read aloud.
"Three or four years ago, we used to read off the names and ages of the homicide victims for that year," Andy Kahan, director of victims services for Crime Stoppers told Fox News Digital. "We can't do that anymore because it would take hours."
Kahan estimates there are more than 600 names that will be scrolling on a ticker instead. In Harris County, at the mid-way point of 2022, homicides were down, but violent crime was up overall compared to 2020, according to data compiled by Crime Stoppers.
As of Thursday morning, Texas' largest city and the fourth largest in the United States, reported 323 murders, the Houston Police Department told Fox News Digital. A department spokesperson noted the numbers were unofficial and had not yet been formalized. The number is a slight decline from the 327 homicides the city reported in 2021 as of Sept. 22, 2021. For all of 2021, Houston experienced 473 killings, officials said, up from 261 murders in 2020.
As 2022 arrived, Houston and the county experienced multiple killings involving children. Many were fatally shot unintentionally, such as Arlene Alvarez, who was killed while riding with her family to get dinner.
Like many municipalities, Harris County has seen an uptick in violent crime in recent years amid calls to "defund the police."
The crime problem is the result of a combination of issues, including the backlog of cases and the release of criminal defendants out on bond, he said.
Crime Stoppers Houston has been tracking such cases for several years.

So howzabout reading the names of the people who were *not* murdered. Nah, that's probably a lot. Hopefully, anyway. OK, let's read the names of the people who were not murdered but *should* have been. That's gotta be shorter, and this way, they get a heads-up. Win-Win!
[News9] LOS ANGELES - Louise Fletcher, a late-blooming star whose riveting performance as the cruel and calculating Nurse Ratched in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” set a new standard for screen villains and won her an Academy Award, has died at age 88.
Fletcher died in her sleep surrounded by family at her home in Montdurausse, France, her agent David Shaul told The Associated Press on Friday. No cause was given.
After putting her career on hold for years to raise her children, Fletcher was in her early 40s and little known when chosen for the role opposite Jack Nicholson in the 1975 film by director Milos Forman, who had admired her work the year before in director Robert Altman’s “Thieves Like Us.” At the time, she didn’t know that many other prominent stars, including Anne Bancroft, Ellen Burstyn and Angela Lansbury, had turned it down.
Eric Adams revealed plans to open two refugee-style camps for the thousands of incoming migrants
One of the sites will be in Orchard Beach, in The Bronx, but the location of the second hasn't been confirmed
Residents of the area around Orchard Beach told DailyMail.com they are outraged by the plans
Many accused Adams of being a hypocrite for not housing the migrants in his own neighborhood
A local pastor said: 'The Bronx has very little space. We have Van Cortland Park but there is no place like Orchard Beach... This is unfair to the people that utilize the beach'
Adams has claimed the plan is a moral triumph over Texas and Florida, which he claims turned their backs on the issue
The vast majority of the migrants say they want to come to New York, a sanctuary city where their chances of being turned in to ICE are slimmer
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas' Greg Abbott sent them duly north - to the outrage of Adams and others
Republicans say it calls the bluff of the rich liberal elite who claim to be pro-immigration without living through the true scale of the crisis
[Breitbart] Teachers in Ohio’s Hilliard City School District
...Hilliard is outside the ring around the state capitol, Columbus...
are allowed to wear “safe space” badges with a QR code that leads to how-to guides on extreme sexual content.
The badges are being promoted and provided by the National Education Association, a major teachers’ union in the United States.
One guide book, Queering Sex Ed, is a program of Planned Parenthood Toronto and styles itself a “recipe book designed to give you more information about some of the sex acts that we don’t think get enough play.”
Other resources include gender activism groups Scarleteen, Sex, Etc., Gender Spectrum, The Trevor Project, and Teen Health Source.
According to ABC 6 News, the school district contends that the message of the badges is one of “safety and inclusion for all students.”
In a statement, superintendent Dave Stewart said, “The QR code on the back of the badge is not there to be shared with students; rather, it is provided to adults by the NEA should they be interested in learning more about LGTBQ+ issues and supporting LGBTQ+ students.”
“Any teacher who chose to wear one of the badges clearly understood that the resources at the link were intended for adults, not students,” he continued.
Despite that, the Ohio Press Network (OPN) reported Thursday that at a school board meeting last week, students were seen speaking and holding up the badges that were apparently intended only for adults.
When asked by the network how a student could have obtained the badge, Hilliard City Schools communications director Stacie Raterman said, “That student is the child of a staff member. I was told the child was given the badge to hold while speaking.”
Raterman further told the outlet that no other students had access to the badges, but that there was no way of knowing if a student accessed the guides using the QR code.
While Raterman in an email said that the content provided by the badges is to be used for teacher “growth and personal development,” she could not articulate what that might look like or what teachers can gain from the sexually explicit material.
Parents have threatened the district with a lawsuit, according to OPN, saying, they are “concerned the district is allowing manipulations of students to manifest gender dysphoria symptoms at school and encouraging them to transition to a sex opposite their biological birth.”
The parents seek prior knowledge of sexual content or education before their children are exposed to it.
Stewart continues to allow teachers to wear the badge.
"In fact it's gone full imperial with the end of the citizen soldier and the rise of what is for all intents and purposes a mercenary professional military that has been with the country for decades now."
The comments are also well-thought out and worth reading. "As an Army vet, never have I been so offended by something I absolutely agree with."

"In fact it's gone full imperial with the end of the citizen soldier and the rise of what is for all intents and purposes a mercenary professional military that has been with the country for decades now."
Someone doesn't study real history. The American army was always a small often underfunded, undermanned professional army. See -
Francis Prucha's "The Sword of the Republic", Robert Utley's "Frontiersmen in Blue"and "Frontier Regulars" and Edward Coffman's "The Old Army".*
For most of over its first 150 years expanded only at time of major war and then demobilized shortly there after. I'm sure our Native Americans would point out that what occurred in that period may well be described as 'imperialism'.
We demobilized after WW2. It wasn't till 1948 after a series of successful and unsuccessful coups in Eastern and Southern Europe coupled with the Berlin Blockade, that the first long 'peacetime' draft was instituted. That is when Washington decided to become the world's policeman. Suddenly it had a big hammer and everything looked like a nail. That undermined the structures of the old republic beginning the long slide to authoritarian rule.
* interesting factoid - in the post Civil War army the largest single expense was hauling supplies to the many and distant outposts in the West.
A female suspect, believed to have been involved in a road rage incident, was pulled over by police in Platteville, Colorado
Officers stopped their patrol on railroad tracks and handcuffed 20-year-old Yareni Rios-Gonzalez and placed her in the back
A train smashed in the police SUV sending it hurtling down the tracks with Rios-Gonzalez still inside
Incredibly, the mother-of-one survived despite suffering nine broken ribs, a broken arm, a fractured sternum and losing several teeth in the accident
Police officer who parked the car on the tracks has been placed on leave And so he should have been. That was really dumb. Hopefully the mother-of-1 learnt a lesson about the cost of road rage
Hell, execute the son of a bitch for murder 1. It only looks like attempted murder because he was a glorious combination of stupid and unlucky. It still requires other people to conduct their blessed unholy Look Away from the Train the same as if he'd shot her. FOrtunately for him the modern US is full of ambulatory dogshit people who read about the civilian populace in Gemany Looking Away from their trains with their cattle cars and wished they could have been there to done it then.
Yeah, Road Rage is bad. But really? Go to fucking hell.

[FoxNews] Authorities have identified four people who were killed in an eastern Idaho crash between a potato truck and passenger car Wednesday evening.
The Bannock County Coroner's Office said Delight Moemberg, 44; Deborah Pabawena, 63; Philip Ponzo, 28; and Faedem Fidim, 37, were killed in the collision near Chubbuck. All four were Fort Hall residents, officials with The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes said.
Someone called to report the collision to Idaho State Police around 6:45 p.m., and Bannock County Sheriff's deputies and Fort Hall police officers also responded. The passenger vehicle was headed east and the potato truck was headed north when the vehicles collided near an intersection, and the passenger vehicle caught fire. The four people in the passenger vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the potato truck, Guadalupe Camargo-Rangel, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Camaro-Rangel's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, authorities said.
[Liberty] LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA (Sept. 21, 2022) — Today, a federal judge in Louisiana ruled that the federal government cannot require Head Start program teachers, staff and volunteers be vaccinated against COVID-19, nor can they require that adults and students wear masks. In December 2021, teacher Sandy Brick filed a lawsuit in federal court Louisiana to stop the mandate and are represented by the national law firm Liberty Justice Center and the Louisiana-based Pelican Institute for Public Policy.
"Although President Biden recently declared that the ’pandemic is over,’ the fight to restore Americans’ individual liberties is not," said Daniel Suhr, managing attorney at the Liberty Justice Center. "We will continue to fight for teachers like Sandy and the low-income students they serve until every illegal and unjustified mandate is wiped from the books. Today’s decision is a significant step toward undoing the injustice perpetrated against everyday Americans throughout the COVID-19 crisis."
Sarah Harbison, general counsel at the Pelican Institute for Public Policy added, "Louisiana teacher Sandy Brick has been serving her students through adversity and uncertainty the last two years. Today, this decision vindicates her right to teach without sacrificing her freedom."
A well-known pro-life author, sidewalk counselor, and father of seven was the latest victim of a U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored SWAT raid and arrest — for supposed “FACE Act” violations — at his rural home as his children looked on “screaming.”
Mark Houck is the founder and president of The King’s Men, which promotes healing for victims of pornography addiction and promotes Christian virtues among men in the United States and Europe…
…Ryan-Marie, who is a homeschool mother, explained the SWAT team of 25 to 30 FBI agents swarmed their property with around 15 vehicles at 7:05 a.m. this morning. Having quickly surrounded the house with rifles in firing position, “they started pounding on the door and yelling for us to open it.”
Before opening the door, she explained, her husband tried to calm them, saying, “‘Please, I’m going to open the door, but, please, my children are in the home. I have seven babies in the house.’ But they just kept pounding and screaming,” she said.
When he opened the door, “they had big, huge rifles pointed at Mark and pointed at me and kind of pointed throughout the house,” Ryan-Marie described…
The FBI was there because of Mark’s work against abortion. Recently an abortion advocate and escort reportedly harassed his son at an abortion clinic and when Houck protected his son he was accused of harassing the escort.
…On several occasions when Mark went to sidewalk counsel last year, he took his eldest son, who was only 12 at the time, she explained. For “weeks and weeks,” a “pro-abortion protester” would speak to the boy saying “crude … inappropriate and disgusting things,” such as “you’re dad’s a fag,” and other statements that were too vulgar for her to convey.
Repeatedly, Mark would tell this pro-abortion man that he did not have permission to speak to his son and please refrain from doing so. And “he kept doing it and kind of came into [the son’s] personal space” obscenely ridiculing his father. At this point, “Mark shoved him away from his child, and the guy fell back.”
“He didn’t have any injuries or anything, but he tried to sue Mark,” and the case was thrown out of court in the early summer.

A whole platoon huh? Afraid there might be Legos on the floor or something? Catch the biscuits and gravy right off the stove? Dude go all fucking Raiden on the Neo-Phelps agitator so that ringing the doorbell was a safety risk?
No, I'm curious. A whole platoon. Did you remember during the briefing to distinguish the sounds of a baby rattle and an M240? Points for not forty-miking flash bangs through the windows I guess.
The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act was signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1994. FACE specifically prohibits “the use of force or threat of force or physical obstruction” to intentionally injure, intimidate, or interfere with someone seeking to enter a facility that provides abortions. FACE also prohibits the same actions at places of religious worship, considered by some legal analysts as a bid by the law’s drafters not to appear to be singling out pro-life activity.
The penalty for a first non-violent violation of FACE is up to one year in prison, and a fine of up to $10,000, in addition to civil penalties of $10,000 or more. Subsequent non-violent convictions carry a punishment of up to 18 months in prison and a fine of up to $25,000, in addition to civil penalties. These penalties are far more severe than the penalties already imposed by state law for the acts prohibited by FACE.
A SWAT raid does not seem to match the approach of the bill’s authors.

Sadly, these young camo-clad, 'Police State' wanna-bees are going to meet their match one early morning with a front door kinetic response from hell. It's not going to be pretty.
[ALARABIYA] Kidnappers who snatched three young chimpanzees from an African sanctuary have sent ’proof of life’ videos to support their six-figure ransom demand in what is believed to be the first-ever hostage situation involving apes.
Videos circulated on social media showed one of the young chimps, a five-year-old named Monga, with her arms tied above her head in a barren room, The Times newspaper in the UK reported on Friday. The other two young chimps - named Hussein and César - could be seen scampering to hide from their captors.
The three chimps — aged between two and five — were snatched in the middle of the night from the JACK Primate Rehabilitation Center sanctuary in the Democratic Republic of the Congo ...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material... earlier this month. The gang has repeatedly sent messages demanding a six-figure ransom and is threatening to kill them unless a ransom is paid.
The gang says that they will decapitate the animals and send their heads back to the sanctuary if they do not get the money.
"It is a nightmare... it was such a disaster," the center’s founder Franck Chantereau told the environmental outlet Mongabay. "We have faced a lot of challenges for 18 years now. But we have never experienced anything like this: the kidnapping of apes."
JACK is one of three ape sanctuaries in the Central African country.
It is home to around 40 chimpanzees and other primates, such as the endangered golden-bellied mangabey. The organization is working with law enforcement agencies to rescue the chimps.
Adams Cassinga, from ConservCongo, a Congolese NGO that investigates wildlife crimes, told news hounds that it might be the first kidnapping of an ape in the world.
"This is very rare, this is the first time, not just in Africa but the world, that I am hearing of this. We have heard [of] people using wildlife as a shield or as a political or social agenda. This is the first time I have heard of people literally kidnapping animals so that they can ask for money," he said.

Anjem Choudary, the race-hate cleric responsible for radicalising a generation of young Muslim men, was jailed in 2016 for inviting support for Islamic State.
His ban from public speaking, along with restrictions imposed on his use of the internet and mobile phone following his release on licence four years ago, has recently been lifted and he is free to preach again.
His current rallying cry, to his thousands of followers on WhatsApp, is disturbing in the circumstances. It’s entitled Leicester: The Islamic Perspective.
It was issued from his home in East London in the wake of repeated clashes between angry mobs of young men. One, involving up to 200 masked protesters last weekend, resulted in riot police being pelted with bottles as they tried to keep the two sides apart.
Choudary is calling for ‘Muslim patrols’ to be organised in Leicester. ‘If anyone attacks you, retaliate,’ he declared, quoting Allah.
Fred’s auto-translator says about Mr. Choudary:
...self-proclaimed holy man who used to work for Omar Mohammed Bakdri as spokesman for al-Muhajiroun. Anjem is a loathesome little attention prostitute who is to be heard cheering for the home team anytime anybody with a turban manages to slaughter a group of unarmed infidels. Anjem was born in the UK in 1967 and is, as you would expect, of Pakistaini descent. The Ghost of Dante is of the opinion that when he goes to hell his knees will be broken once a month. He was in jug for awhile for supporting the Islamic State...

[SUMMIT] In the name of promoting "diversity," ruling Greens in the German the city of Hanover plan to ban a third of native citizens from applying for government jobs so they can be given to migrants.
Yes, really.
"A green mayor makes the difference!" wrote Turkish-born Filiz Polat, managing director of the Greens parliamentary group.
Polat was referring to Hanover Mayor Belit Onay, who came to power in November 2019, and is also of Turkish heritage.
"By the end of 2026, a third of all newly advertised positions in the city should be filled by applicants with a migration background," wrote Polat.
In an effort to vastly increase the number of foreign-origin migrants in positions of local authority, a draft resolution
...still only in the draft phase?
brought by the city’s integration committee will ensure that the "target figure for all new hires is 30 percent."
As part of a program to establish Hanover’s status as an "immigration city," the government will also launch a PR campaign to "motivate young people from immigrant families to take advantage of the wide range of training and study opportunities in the state capital."
"The campaign will comprise a "Day of Diversity" at local schools, while further developing "anti-racist coaching" across authorities and public bodies. A prize will also be awarded for "migrant companies" in the local area," reports ReMix News.
Critics of the proposal assert that it is completely unconstitutional and violates anti-discrimination laws.
Well then.
Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, an FDP member of the Bundestag, said the plan was "evidently unconstitutional, if I understand our Basic Law correctly."
[HotAir] It was a little more than five years ago when two women, Jessica Reznicek
...age 40, who has a listing on the Anarchist Black Cross Federation site as one of their political prisoners...
and Ruby Montoya,
...who discovered the hard way that the free lawyer provided by the Movement considers the Movement its client, then promptly got her own lawyer and apparently started singing to the Feds...
confessed to having sabotaged the Dakota Access Pipeline and damaged construction equipment being used to complete it. Neither Reznicek nor Montoya were caught in the act but they decided to announce their own guilt to draw more attention to the effort to stop the pipeline.
That effort didn’t work as planned but it did open them both up to federal charges. As I pointed out here, 84 Members of Congress subsequently sent a letter to the DOJ asking if both Reznicek and Montoya qualified as domestic terrorists.
It took two years before the pair were finally charged and initially they agreed to a joint defense. They both pleaded guilty to one charge in exchange for the government dropping a number of other charges. But that all changed around the time Reznicek was sentenced in 2021. Montoya hired a new attorney and attempted to withdraw her guilty plea.

I moved this to Fifth Column because the ladies were full time activists for yet another tentacle of the Black Bloc anarcho-communist syndicate that includes Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
...also known as Stephan Hanna, and she remains identified as Kerry Luc Lemieux in the records of the Ontario College of Teachers, which certifies all teachers in the province...
went viral when she was pictured wearing huge prosthetic breasts in the middle of shop class
Lemieux is a tech teacher at Oakville Trafalgar High School in an upscale residential neighborhood roughly 25 miles west of Toronto
DailyMail.com can reveal that school board members voted to consider implementing a dress code on Wednesday
This could mean that Lemieux may have to ditch the fabric-stretching prosthetic breasts, which sell online for as much as $1,000
The district has defended Lemieux and said it would no longer answer questions about the issue as it is a 'personnel matter'
Students who joined the fracas said they are bound by a dress code that prohibits visible nipples or genitalia so they are left wondering why the same rules don’t apply to Lemieux.
Protesters from a faith-based group called Action 4 Canada called for the principal and school board trustees to resign for failing to protect students.

It is not a 'personnel matter'.
It is a teacher with a serious Mental Illness & perversion.
A mentally ill teacher that is still allowed private one on one interactions with kids, while displaying and enjoying its perversion.
FACTS:
Legal System data shows Transgender Males acting Female have the highest rate of sex predator related arrests and convictions in even the LGBT?
CDC Study - three times more likely to acquire HIV
In Canada (2012 study) 43% of Transgenders committed or try to commit suicide. Therefore, pose a safety threat to others around them. For comparison, only 5% of straight male teens and 10% of straight female teens reported even thinking about suicide. So transgenders are talking 400 to 800% more likely.
And we have a touchy-feely school board supporting this?
Question:
Is IT also using the Girl's & Women Teacher Restrooms also?

[SAHARAREPORTERS] Olubukola Ajayi, daughter of Justice Olutoyin Ipaye of Lagos State, has lost custody of her three children in Canada six years after her marriage despite her lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA) claim.
LGBTQIA pertains collectively to people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (or those questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation), intersex, and asexual (or their allies).
A Canadian court ordered that the three children be returned to Nigeria after concluding they were wrongfully retained by their mother. If you're asexual, how'd you come to have three kids? The toilet seat?
Peoples Gazette quoted part of the court judgment delivered by Justice Engelking as saying, "I find that this court does not have jurisdiction to make a parenting order with respect to these children. I find that they were wrongfully removed from their habitual residence in Nigeria and that they were wrongfully retained in Ontario thereafter."
It was reported that Olubukola who cited domestic violence in her marriage and affinity with the LGBTQIA, had prayed the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to grant her sole custody of her three children whom she had taken from Nigeria without the consent of their father, Eyitope Ajayi.
It was gathered that in 2016, Eyitope and Olubukola, who both possess Canadian and Nigerian citizenship got married in Nigeria and therein built their family. But their marital woes started after the wife developed issues regarding her sexual identity, with claims of being asexual.
Upon her return to Nigeria from birthing their last child in Canada, Olubukola asked her husband for separation. However, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... while Eyitope was on a business trip, she flew all three children to Canada without his knowledge and consent on November 19, 2021.
In the application for sole custody of her children, Olubukola claimed that the children would suffer "psychological harm" if they were "removed from her care" and returned to Nigeria.
She claimed she would be denied custody of the children by Nigerian courts, whose laws do not favour persons of dissenting sexual orientations, "based on her to her affinity to or linkage with the LGBTQIIA+ community." She referenced the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act (SSMPA) enacted in 2013 to buttress her claim.
She also expressed fear that "returning to Nigeria because of domestic violence perpetrated on her by Eyitope," citing their eldest child witnessed an incident when his father was abusive.
Justice Engelking in his ruling dismissed Olubukola’s claims, reminding her that she left her two older children in Eyitope’s care for six months when she travelled to Canada to birth their last child in the company of her mother-in-law.
According to him, if Eyitope was as abusive as she claimed, she would not have entrusted them to his care.
On sexual stigmatisation, Justice Engelking held that the Same Sex Prohibition Act does not apply to her since she claimed to be asexual, a sexual identity that does not involve an amorous relationship with the same sex. He also allayed her fears that "no prosecution under that Act has ever occurred in the over eight years it has been in existence."

[Free Beacon] Wisconsin’s Democratic governor Tony Evers said he considers illegal immigrants to be "Wisconsinites" just as much as lawful residents, according to newly unearthed video from 2019.
During a speech to the Voces de la Frontera’s Migration is Beautiful Masquerade Gala in 2019, Evers said he does not differentiate between illegal immigrants and lawful residents of Wisconsin.
"No matter your immigration status, if you call Wisconsin home, you’re a Wisconsinite," Evers told the group.
Evers’s previously unreported comments give broader insight into his positions on immigration and are likely to draw scrutiny as a national debate heats up over border security issues. Evers, who is facing a tight reelection race against Republican challenger Tim Michels,
...Trump-endorsed native Wisconsin, retired Army major (infantry), he returned home after serving to grow the family business into the largest building company in the state. He’s been running for various political offices since 1998, so hopefully this time’s the charm...
led an effort to provide drivers’ licenses to illegal immigrants three years ago. He also in 2017 supported sanctuary cities in Wisconsin.
The governor said this was the primary reason he supported drivers’ licenses for illegal immigrants, in addition to keeping "roads safer" and creating "opportunities for families."
"We need to make sure that everybody has the opportunity, in this state, to get a drivers’ license to go from Point A to Point B," he said at the 2019 gala.
[KhaamaPress] NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has sent back its first image of Neptune and it’s the clearest view of the ice giant in more than 30 years.
Webb’s image managed to reveal the distant planet’s delicate rings.
The last time astronomers had such a clear view of the farthest planet from the sun was when NASA’s Voyager 2 became the first and only space probe to fly past the ice giant for just a few hours in 1989.
Now Webb’s unprecedented infrared imaging capabilities has provided a new glimpse into Neptune’s atmosphere, said Mark McCaughrean, a senior advisor for science and exploration at the European Space Agency.
The telescope "takes all that glare and background away" so that "we can start to tease out the atmospheric composition" of the planet, McCaughrean, who has worked on the Webb project for more than 20 years, told AFP.
Neptune appears as deep blue in previous images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope due to methane in its atmosphere. However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... the near-infrared wavelengths captured by Webb’s primary imager NIRCam shows the planet as a greyish white, with icy clouds streaking the surface.
"The rings are more reflective in the infrared," McCaughrean said, "so they’re much easier to see."
The image also shows an "intriguing brightness" near the top of Neptune, NASA said in a statement. Because the planet is tilted away from Earth and takes 164 years to orbit the Sun, astronomers have not yet had a good look at its north pole.
Webb also spotted seven of Neptune’s 14 known moons.

Mating a wolf to a dog (usually a malamute or such, artificial insemination) is done, pups are available occasionally.
They're mules, i.e. hybrids, and can't reproduce their own line.

Can't a wolf mate with a doggie and get the same result?
That gets you half-dog/half-wolf.
What they did here was take a doggie egg, remove the nucleus which contains the DNA, and replace it with a nucleus from a wolf cell. This embryo was then implanted in a beagle.
The two-dollar name for this is somatic cell nuclear transfer.
[JustTheNews] 15 worked in the section of Los Alamos that designs nuclear weapons.
More than 160
...that’s technically described as a lot...
former researchers with the Los Alamos nuclear laboratory in New Mexico have joined Chinese advanced weapons programs over the past several decades, according to a recent study from the private security firm Strider Technologies.
Between 1987 and 2021, the communist government in Beijing enticed 162 scientists who at some point worked at the New Mexico lab to work on a range of nuclear and weapons research programs, Bill Gertz of the Washington Times reported. Of these, 15 worked in the section of Los Alamos that designs nuclear weapons.
"Former Los Alamos scientists have made, and continue to make, considerable contributions to the PRC hypersonic, missile and submarine programs that present an array of security risks for the United States and the entire free world," Strider asserted in its report.
Strider CEO Greg Levesque warned that Beijing would gain a significant technological edge should it continue poaching American scientists.
"Our research shows [China] has seen a significant return on their investment with advances in critical military technologies," he said. "Now, more than ever, it is a national security imperative for the U.S. and our allies to identify and protect leading talent in both the public and private sectors."
The report comes amid Chinese saber-rattling over its claims to sovereignty over Taiwan. President Joe Biden suggested the U.S. would intervene militarily if China attempted to take the island, though the White House this week walked back those comments.
