[FoxNews] Bui Van Phu, a convicted sex offender, was originally charged with attempted murder.
The New York City sex offender who was initially accused of attempted murder for sucker-punching — and critically injuring — a stranger was allowed to walk free on Thursday after his charges were downgraded, according to a report.
Bui Van Phu, a 55-year-old homeless man, was released without bail during a Thursday court appearance, after his attempted murder charge was replaced with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment, according to the Daily Mail. Phu’s charges were downgraded because he "'intentionally (caused) physical injury and with intent to harass, annoy or alarm another person," according to the report.
The parolee and previously convicted sex offender was reportedly placed on supervised release.
The New York Police Department captured footage of Phu’s alleged Aug. 12 assault. According to police, the victim was with a group of people in front of 163 E 188 St in the Bronx around 10:45 p.m. when the suspect attacked.
Video showed the man, who wore gloves, approaching the stranger from behind and sucker-punching him in the head, causing the victim to fall to the pavement. Police said the attack was unprovoked and the victim and his assailant are not believed to have known each other.
The victim suffered a broken skull, a broken cheek bone and a brain bleed, police said. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition.
Phu reportedly has an extensive criminal history, according to multiple local reports.
"Phu reportedly has an extensive criminal history, ..." Yet is allowed to walk free and remain on the streets posing a continued threat to Honest NYC Citizens, who no longer have the right to protect themselves.
[Breitbart] President Joe Biden is planning on hosting a “unity summit” to bring together Republicans and Democrats at the White House after the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced Biden’s plan to host the summit in a statement on Friday, noting the president wanted to “counter the corrosive effects of hate-fueled violence on our democracy and public safety.”
“The United We Stand Summit will bring together heroes from across America who are leading historic work in their communities to build bridges and address hate and division, including survivors of hate-fueled violence,” she wrote.
The White House stressed they wanted both Democrat and Republican public officials to attend, as well as civil rights organizations, faith and community leaders, technology and business leaders, and law enforcement officials. It is unclear which Republicans will be invited to attend or speak.
Biden has a deep appreciation for summits, as he hosted a “virtual leaders summit” on climate change at the White House last April and a “Summit for Democracy” last December. The announcement of the “unity” summit comes as a growing number of Republicans are outraged over the FBI raid on Trump’s home Mar-a-Lago home.
The former president has expressed concern about the growing anger in the country since the raid, even offering to assist the nation in lowering the political temperature.
The White House cited the 2017 Charlottesville riots as a motivating factor for the summit, in addition to the multiple mass shootings that took place during Biden’s administration.
The priorities of the unity summit were outlined by Biden’s domestic policy adviser, Susan Rice, in a blog post on the White House website.

“Hate must have no safe harbor in America,” she wrote, noting the summit would “counter the corrosive effects of hate-fueled violence on our democracy and public safety.”
Biden will deliver the keynote speech of the summit, according to Rice, and the summit will also include roundtable discussions and panels on preventing radicalization and violence.
“Even as our nation has endured a disturbing series of hate-fueled attacks, Americans of all beliefs and political affiliations remain overwhelmingly united in their opposition to such violence,” she wrote.
She urged Americans to email UnitedWeStand@who.eop.gov to nominate “an extraordinary Uniter” so that the White House could recognize him or her.
“As President Biden said in Buffalo after the horrific mass shooting earlier this year, in the battle for the soul of our nation ‘we must all enlist in this great cause of America,'” she stated, concluding, “The United We Stand Summit will present an important opportunity for Americans of all walks of life to take up that cause—together.”

A 'Summit'. Where great minds get together, talk a LOT, do nothing and then retire to the 'rubber chicken' catered dinner (Soy Wings for Vegans!).

Unity Summit, a photo op for Jojo, platitudes and stories from the Uncle Joe in his repertoire of telepromter reading characters. it will be virtual, scripted and near toilet and medication facilities.
To keep him on script I wonder if there are pudding cups in a tray under the camera?

Mullah Richard, a Summit where great minds blowhards get together after burning tons of fossil fuels on air travel, air conditioning and catered food ....while telling us about Gerbil Werming™ and the Plight of the Poor™. Or is it racism, Racism, RACISM?
The FBI division overseeing the investigation of former President Trump's handling of classified material at his Mar-a-Lago residence is also a focus of Special Counsel John Durham's investigation of the bureau's alleged abuses of power and political bias during its years-long Russiagate probe of Trump.
The FBI's nine-hour, 30-agent raid of the former president's Florida estate is part of a counterintelligence case run out of Washington -- not Miami, as has been widely reported -- according to FBI case documents and sources with knowledge of the matter. The bureau's counterintelligence division led the 2016-2017 Russia "collusion" investigation of Trump, codenamed "Crossfire Hurricane."
Although the former head of Crossfire Hurricane, Peter Strzok, was fired after the disclosure of his vitriolic anti-Trump tweets, several members of his team remain working in the counterintelligence unit, the sources say, even though they are under active investigation by both Durham and the bureau's disciplinary arm, the Office of Professional Responsibility. The FBI declined to respond to questions about any role they may be taking in the Mar-a-Lago case.
In addition, a key member of the Crossfire team -- Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten -- has continued to be involved in politically sensitive investigations, including the ongoing federal probe of potentially incriminating content found on the abandoned laptop of President Biden's son Hunter Biden, according to recent correspondence between the Senate Judiciary Committee and FBI Director Christopher Wray. FBI whistleblowers have alleged that Auten tried to falsely discredit derogatory evidence against Hunter Biden during the 2020 campaign by labeling it Russian "disinformation," an assessment that caused investigative activity to cease.
Auten has been allowed to work on sensitive cases even though he has been under internal investigation since 2019, when Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz referred him for disciplinary review for his role in vetting a Hillary Clinton campaign-funded dossier used by the FBI to obtain a series of wiretap warrants to spy on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Horowitz singled out Auten for cutting a number of corners in the verification process and even allowing information he knew to be incorrect slip into warrant affidavits and mislead the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court.
In congressional testimony this month, Wray confirmed that "a number of" former Crossfire Hurricane team members are still employed at the bureau while undergoing disciplinary review. In the meantime, Wray has walled off the former Russiagate investigators only from participating in FISA wiretap applications, according to the sources.
[NYPOST] It is curious that the biggest fans of the FBI today are liberals. You hear them on MSNBC, singing from the same song sheet as former disgraced CIA and FBI operatives who have been transformed into esteemed and well-paid TV experts, shilling for whatever unseen forces motivate them, or creating confusing narratives to cover their tracks.
At the same time, a majority of Americans, 53%, view the FBI as "Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. S I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass.... ’s personal Gestapo," according to a new Rasmussen poll out Thursday.
The agency’s standing is at rock bottom among Republicans and conservatives, and not too healthy with independents and moderates.
The poll, conducted on Monday and Tuesday, one week after the extraordinary FBI raid on former President Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... ’s Florida mansion, shows just 50% of all voters hold a favorable view of the federal law-enforcement agency, down from 60% in May 2020.
But while just 30% of Republicans and 45% of independents feel positive about the FBI, 75% of Democrats and 81% of liberals are big fans.
Since the Mar-a-Lago raid, 70% of Republicans say they have less trust in the FBI than they used to, while 50% of Democrats trust it more.
’POLITICIZED THUGS’
Among Republicans, a staggering 76% agree with the Roger Stone quote that there is "a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI who are using the FBI . . . as Joe Biden’s personal Gestapo." About half (49%) of independents and a sizable 37% of Democrats also view the FBI as Biden’s Gestapo, while 72% of liberals disagree.
Liberals are happy because a politicized agency is coming after their ideological enemies, particularly their bête noire, Trump. It’s a stark turnaround from the days of decrying the FBI’s efforts to target Martin Luther King. The left has discarded any pretense of caring about civil liberties or injustice and instead sneers at conservatives who they claim are the ones who have jettisoned their core principles and now are "anti-cop."

There was an attempt at a Muddle, saying a person cannot be both pro-law and against the FBI.
It is a Muddle, because it asserts that the FBI is the law. It is not.
In reality, if the FBI is acting outside of the law, it is indeed obligatory for those supporting law to have issues with the FBI.
The real issue here is the Defund the Police movement, whose charter is local police were acting outside of the law and should be disbanded, are now pro-FBI, who are themselves acting outside of the law. It is they who are breaking the logic train.

I like how they have spent some 3 years intensely punching down on the law and order people, and some wacko with a nail gun knocks on their door and they are like, "Help Help we're being victimized!"
Not sure what is going on there rank and file, but leadership and marketing are absolute garbage, and the ones playing their game seem dangerously incompetent.
And its all going to get good people hurt, or worse, while executive sessions between the two groups try to figure how to out-do the latest IRS Video like count.

Liberals are the biggest fans of the FBI and CIA. It figures, they have the Federal police at their beckon call and they get a pass for their own crimes. Similarly, they have their own spook agency.
[JustTheNews] Former Pennsylvania judges Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan must pay a total of $206 million to roughly 300 people following a "cash-for-kids" scandal in which the pair sent children to for-profit prisons in exchange for financial compensation.
The victims received an award of $106 million in compensatory damages and another $100 million in punitive damages, per the News Agency that Dare Not be Named. U.S. District Judge Christopher Conner called the affair "a scandal of epic proportions."
"Ciavarella and Conahan abandoned their oath and breached the public trust," Conner wrote. "Their cruel and despicable actions victimized a vulnerable population of young people, many of whom were suffering from emotional issues and mental health concerns."
Children as young as 8 went to prison as part of the pair's efforts. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court threw out the convictions of over 2,300 children following the scheme, per the outlet.
Both men were sentenced to prison in 2011. Apart from the civil suit's damages, Ciavarella received 28 years in prison while Conahan got 17 years but was released in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and confined to house arrest.

I think the kids sent to prison should be given the option:
(1) Full payout
(2) Half payout and corrupt judge does the same prison time you did.
I suspect they'd grab (1) but I'm curious.

I'd say confined them 2x for every year served by the 2,300 children they screwed over the civil rights of.
BTW: Since likely a significant portion of these were Black-American kids, why is the MSM, BLM, the REV's, SCLC and NAACP low key quite on this?
Is it because the judges ran and were elected on the Democratic ticket.

I like the concept of those who create the harm are personally on the hook for damages and serving time. Hildabeest would still be in the slammer for Benghazi and destroying records and having an illegal server. and Slick for Waco and Ruby Ridge.
[BREITBART] On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s "Evening Edit," Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) said that the Inflation Reduction Act reconciliation bill not only increases costs for oil and gas, which will lead to an increase in people’s energy bills, but the legislation also serves as a "huge disincentive" for people to move away from fossil fuels because the majority of electric and plug-in hybrids that are currently eligible for tax credits would actually lose them under the legislation.
Green stated, "If you look at actually, how the bill is structured, 70% of the people who currently get a tax credit aren’t going to get a tax credit. So, this whole notion of trying to incentivize people to move from fossil fuels to electric is just — now, it’s a huge disincentive. So, I don’t get it."
He added, "I mean, I’m making fun of this IRA, supposed Inflation Reduction Act because it’s a joke. I mean, they’re actually taxing oil. They’re taxing natural gas. People’s gas — natural gas bill for their power to heat and cool — heat their homes and cook their food is going to increase 17%. And they’re talking about decreasing inflation? It’s a joke." Plus a tax increase and 87,000 armed IRS auditors.

I am for a Constitutional Amendment to limit Income Taxes to a single one time 12% Flat Tax for everyone. A clause that eliminates the current practice of income being taxed multiple times ranging from City level, state level, and Federal Revenue Agencies.
Because the more we spend on items, services and products and less directly paid to Government.
Every $1 spent in the economy generates an additional 84 cents in added Tax revenues.
[NYPOST] Ho hum. Another month, another "emergency" in Kathy Hochul’s New York.
On Monday, with zero fanfare, the governor renewed her pandemic emergency declaration for 30 more days, through Sept. 12, even though the Omicron wave that initially inspired the order was largely over by March.
Because it focused on technical rules for state purchasing rather than mask mandates or business closures, the decision made few waves with the public. But declaring emergencies that don’t exist is a dangerous abuse of gubernatorial power — and it’s sadly becoming a pattern.
In recent weeks, Hochul has quietly extended three other emergency declarations that originated in 2021. One focuses on shortages of hospital and nursing-home staff, another on deteriorating conditions at Rikers Island. The oldest, addressing gun violence, was first issued by ex-Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo more than a year ago, shortly before he resigned to avoid impeachment.

[NYPOST] Never mind that, in a Trumpless world, these same outfits would be calling her Satan and a Nazi, as they did with her dad and even the likes of John Maverick McCain ... the Senator-for-Life from Arizona, former presidential candidate and even more former foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution. As an ordinary citizen he greased the infamous hookers peeing on the Obamabed in Moscow dossier in an attempt to smear President Trump... and Willard Mitt Romney, aka Pierre Delecto ...former governor of Massachussetts, the Publican nominee for president in 2012, now Senator from Utah. He is the son of the former governor of Michigan, George Romney, who himself ran for president after saving American Motors from failure, though not permanently. Romney has a record as a successful businessman, heading Bain Capital, and he rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from the midst of bribery and mismanagement scandals. He is currently a trans Republican and a member in good standing of the Never Trump Party, attempting to assume the mantle of the late John McCain... . In their eyes, the only "good Republican" is one who’s causing trouble for the bulk of the GOP.
Yes, Trump’s lies about the 2020 election are a continued horror, and his Jan. 6 behavior was despicable. But going monomaniacal on it doesn’t turn Liz Cheney into Abraham Lincoln, as she vaingloriously claimed.
Sure, she’s built a huge national fund-raising machine while abandoning her constituents’ concerns (and not just on Trump) and going silent on core conservative issues. That would let her collect a pile of cash from the same clueless millionaires and Lincoln Project types, and could even fund a third-party run for the White House.
It won’t buy her a win, though. So her choice is either to fertilize the national economy as she tries, or to fertilize her personal savings account when she takes herself out of the running. Either way, fools and their money are soon parted, and this way they won’t spend it on something more effective in the anti-Trump line,
Because she won’t go anywhere in any Republican or Democratic primaries: Every other candidate would bring more to the table than "I hate Trump." And as an independent in the general, she’d mainly hurt the Democrat by drawing moderates looking for a bit of sanity, à la John Anderson in 1980.
Your new media fans aren’t your friends, Liz: They only love you for the clickbait.

Yes, she's going to 'run' for president and by that I mean collect very large donations to her campaign chest which will slowly make it's way to her bank account. She knows she will not win, like Beta, she just wants the campaign money.

Judging from the rhetoric in this article, the NY Post got the message, when their Twitter was locked during the 2020 election. Not many, if any, right-leaning newspapers left.

I don't really care about her soaking the rubes for cash, it's the staying in the news and having to hear that she bloviated something out her rear end about Trump that irks me.
Remember the RINO Creed:
"Be a nice Republican. Conform. Be quiet. Admit you are inadequate."

She will receive massive donations from K Street. She will disburse millions to Rove and his ilk. She could pay her sister and "campaign manager." It would be more of a laundering operation than one seeking election. I think that is what Beto O'Rourke does in all his campaigns.

[DonSurber] The FBI had DC Mayor Marion Barry trapped. They had him on tape having an affair with a woman who was not his bride and using coke. That was enough to indict him.
But when the case came to trial, his lawyers demanded the FBI show jurors the whole tape. And for 83 minutes, the court saw Barry's ex-girlfriend, Hazel Diane “Rasheeda” Moore, try to get Barry to do drugs.
When he finally did, the FBI quickly arrested him. He uttered those infamous words: "Bitch set me up."
She had. The FBI had. And the jury rightly acquitted him.
The videotape exonerated him.
Guess who else has videotape. The Donald.
Now guess who is sweating. The FBI.
CNN reported, "Some allies of former President Donald Trump are urging him to publicly release surveillance footage of FBI agents executing a search warrant on his Mar-a-Lago residence, a proposal that has drawn mixed reaction inside his orbit, CNN has learned.

If the CCTV video shows inappropriate evidence collection practices, it invalidates the collected evidence process and the evidence itself.
If this be the case, then I's seek a NEUTRAL federal court. Where I'd slap the DOJ, with a motion to suppress, invalidate, and return ALL collected items immediately.
I play the PR Stage and even mention the DC Swamp rumored possibility that the FED's stole Melania undergarments in the filing also.
Either way, this is looking more and more like a Political Raid, used to collect damaging data that TRUMP had against the DC Swamp and special political team of dark-ops Agents.
Data, which will have them facing perjury, sedition, and possible Treason charges regarding their actions during the now know Politically Staged Impeachment processes.

Why? We know nothing will happen. We've already seen the playbook. No Federal prosecutor will even try to charge any member of the FBI for anything related to it. Hell, THEY SPIED ON A PRESIDENT and got away with it. What makes you think that is about to change. We've seen multiple times where the FBI and their allies in the intel community not just BREAK the law but FLOUT IT openly knowing nothing will happen.
