[IsraelTimes] Sierra Club offers new tours of Jewish state, after nixing program amid ’greenwashing’ accusations earlier this year, then apologizing.
Push back twice as hard. All that posturing is great fun until there is a real price to be paid.
Five months after canceling its planned trips to Israel, and then — following outrage from Jewish organizations — apologizing days later and saying the trips would be reinstated, the Sierra Club has quietly posted a new excursion to Israel for next year.
Called "Natural and Historical Highlights of Israel," the two-week trip in March 2023 will include many of the same activities the Sierra Club offered before activist muppets convinced the environmental nonprofit to cancel two Israel outings. The trip will feature snorkeling, bird watching, nights on a kibbutz and a visit to Tel Aviv.
[KHAAMAPRESS] Top Taliban ...Arabic for students... officials and about 3,000 members of "religious scholars, politicians, and different sections of the society" are participating in the gathering, "akin to" the Loya Jirga, that commenced on Thursday, August 18, in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar.
The Taliban’s director of the Information and Culture Department in Kandahar province, Hafiz Noor Ahmad Saeed, stated that this is a one-day gathering, convened to assess the current situation in Afghanistan, and support the Taliban.
Three thousand religious scholars are reportedly present at this all-male meeting, according to the Taliban-control Afghanistan National Television.
The conference is said to be attended by Taliban high-ranking officials, including the group’s supreme leader, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada.
Women were not allowed to attend an earlier grand assembly of Taliban religious scholars and tribal elders, which was convened at Kabul’s Loya Jirga Hall, for three days.
Taliban’s all-male grand assembly that excluded women incited outrage among women, civil society activist muppets, and public figures, even challenging the legitimacy of the gathering.
An 11-point resolution endorsing the Taliban and urging the international community to recognize the Taliban-led government of Afghanistan was adopted at the end of a three-day great assembly of Islamic holy mans and tribal elders in Kabul.
At a time when Afghanistan is going through the "worst" humanitarian crisis in the world and no country has recognized the Taliban rule in Afghanistan, the Taliban have gathered in the province of Kandahar.

[KHAAMAPRESS] The United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... Security Council is reportedly "deadlocked" over whether to renew the travel ban waivers for the Taliban ...Arabic for students... officials in Afghanistan, whose travel exemptions are due to expire on Friday, August 19.
Russia and China suggested renewing the travel exemption of 13 Taliban officials for another 90 days, but this proposal was rejected by Britannia, La Belle France, Albania, and Ireland, according to Amanda Price of Al Jazeera, who cited Security Council diplomats.
Ireland has also resisted a 30-day rollover, Price tweeted on late Wednesday.

The two of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and Russia however, suggested that all 13 Taliban officials have their travel privileges restricted to China, Russia, and other regional countries.
According to rights groups, the measures should be reinstated due to the Taliban’s oppression of Afghan women since assuming control last year, as a waiver that exempts senior Taliban officials from a long-standing UN travel ban and accompanying penalties is scheduled to expire on Friday.
Two Taliban education officials had their travel privileges canceled because the Taliban restricted women’s and girls’ access to education, even though 13 others had their travel ban waivers renewed earlier for at least two months, to expire on August 19.

[Jpost] Foreign recruits are being offered financial incentives, as well as Russian citizenship, if they enlist in the Russian Armed Forces.
Russia’s military is running enlistment campaigns in Central Asian countries Uzbekistan,

as the number of Russians willing to fight in Ukraine decreases, Ukraine's intelligence service (GUR) claimed.
So it might be true.
Foreign recruits are being offered financial incentives, as well as Russian citizenship if they enlist in the Russian Armed Forces.
Additionally, GUR purports that young men from rural areas in Chechnya,

Russia are being kidnapped by Ramzan Kadyrov's Chechen forces and forced to fight in service of Russia’s war efforts in Ukraine – causing discontent among Chechen citizens, who GUR says are outraged by the fact that Kadyrov is sending Muslims to participate and die in a "foreign" war.
Russia has reportedly been using mercenaries from Libya and Syria in their initiatives in Ukraine, according to the US Defense Department. The transcript quotes a senior defense official saying that the Wagner Group militia "has been operating in the Donbas and that they have recruited from places like Syria and Libya and that they use Syrian and Libyan fighters."
GUR also reported in March that Syrian President Bashar Assad has promised to provide up to 40,000 militants to the Russian Federation for the war in Ukraine.

Russia refreshing troops day by day requires large numbers. Skilled directing. Ukraine however hasn't got the depth so best fielding are lost. The untrained will suffer heavy losses. Especially on open ground. Russia controls the air and artillery with massive shelling. Russian attention is on NIKOPOL(if memory serves me correctly) main source of shelling by Ukraine on Nuclear site. Today's the day they say for Shelling of Nuclear plant.

Assuming this is true, when the Ukraine situation is over, the surviving new Russian citizens will want to return to their new nation ... with all their old habits, none of which involve Christianity. Still, if rumours about President Putin’s really poor health are also true, that future won’t be his problem to solve.
[JustThe News] Party chairman Matt Rinaldi is calling on Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, and on all Texas counties to do the same.
Nine counties and one mayor already have declared an invasion, with more expected to follow in Texas’ 254 counties.
Two judges who declared an invasion, life-long Democrats and Hispanic women, are now running for reelection as Republicans in November.
“Arizona will declare an invasion in January, Texas should today,” Rinaldi wrote in a column published by Newsweek. He’s referring to Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who after she won her party’s nomination vowed to declare an invasion. Rinaldi, who thinks Lake will be elected as Arizona’s next governor, has called on Abbott to declare an invasion.
Abbott has issued numerous executive orders to expand the state’s response to what he calls “Biden’s border crisis” but has stopped short of calling it an invasion. Instead, Abbott most recently directed state law enforcement to apprehend illegal border crossers and deliver them to ports of entry.
