[Garowe] Æthiopia and Kenya have signed a major agreement that paves way for joint operations in the fight against al-Shabaab ...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... Death Eaters and the Shene terror group which operates predominantly in Æthiopia.
Both al-Shabaab and Shene groups have been designated as terror groups in Æthiopia and Somalia, where they have been linked to the deaths of innocent civilians and security officers. The groups have been fighting the respective governments.
State-owned Fana reported that the joint cooperation will improve peace and stability in the two sisterly countries. While Kenya is prone to al-Shabaab attacks, Æthiopia, despite being a neighbor to Somalia, has managed to keep the group at bay.
However, those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things... the Shene group which operates in Æthiopia has been antagonizing the administration of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who is also battling to reclaim the Tigray region having fallen out with leaders from the Tigray community.
The assertion came at a time when Æthiopian Federal Police Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael received the third Inspector General of the Kenyan National Police Service Commission, Hilary Nzioki Mutyambai at his office and held a discussion on issues of mutual concern.
According to the Æthiopian media, the two top coppers agreed to launch a joint operation against al-Shabaab and Shene groups to stop hostile activities by the two organizations. It is stated on the occasion that the two countries will sign MoU for the joint operation within a month.
He said Æthiopia and Kenya agreed to enhance cooperation in the exchange of information, adding that the MoU will enable the countries to ensure cross-border peace and security. Æthiopia and Kenya have not had serious security partnerships in the past.

[AlAhram] The European Commission has announced its humanitarian funding for North Africa for 2022, amounting to €18 million, to support some of the most vulnerable refugees in Egypt, Libya, and Algeria, the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) said on Tuesday.
The European Commission has announced that the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... will allocate €5 million to help the most vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers stranded in Egypt’s poorest neighbourhoods in urban centres. The funding will enable safe and sustainable access to quality education, protection services and basic needs, the statement added.
Egypt currently hosts 6 million migrants colonists and refugees and is keen to ensure they live decent lives, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In October, during the Egypt-Visegrad Group Summit, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi said Egypt would never allow refugees to make onward journeys to Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... for their own safety and so as not to cause problems for European countries.
According to the United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Egypt hosts more than 270,000 registered asylum-seekers and refugees from 65 countries. The majority are from Syria, followed by Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea ...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... , and Somalia.
The ECHO statement added that €4 million will be allocated for Libya to address humanitarian needs in health and education and to provide protection for people in need in urban centres and hard-to-reach locations.
Some €9 million will be allocated to Algeria to help the most urgent needs of vulnerable Sahrawi refugees, including to provide access to food, safe water, basic healthcare, and education.
"The European Union is committed to supporting people in need no matter where they are. The new funding for humanitarian organizations in Algeria, Egypt and Libya will help vulnerable people affected by conflicts, instability or displacement. As their situation became increasingly difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will help meet their basic needs and ensure they can access healthcare, education and other services," Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič said.

[IsraelTimes] Dallas man accused of selling Malik Faisal Akram pistol says the attacker sought to buy methamphetamines and ’weapon that contains large number of bullets’.
The man who took hostages at a Texas synagogue sought to buy drugs and a "machine gun" before the standoff last month that ended with the hostages escaping and the gunman’s death, an FBI ...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time... agent said in court Wednesday.
The testimony came during a detention hearing for the Dallas man accused of selling Malik Faisal Akram
...Brit-Paki known wolf, a member of jihad precurser Tablighi Jamaat and divorced father of six, who came to America specially to get the Joos to rescue Aafia Siddiqui from durance vile, but failed spectacularly, first losing his hostages and then his life. But who took him to and from Dallas International Airport to the homeless shelter that housed him, and who introduced him to the felon who sold him that gun?
the handgun he used in his attack on Congregation Beth Israel in the suburb of Colleyville.
A federal magistrate ordered the alleged seller, Henry "Michael" Williams, detained ahead of his trial on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Williams, 32, was arrested less than two weeks after the standoff ended with an FBI tactical team rushing into the synagogue and fatally shooting Akram just as the hostages made their escape.
Authorities said Williams confessed to selling Akram, a 44-year-old British national, the previously stolen pistol.
During the detention hearing, FBI agent Taylor Page testified that Williams said Akram initially reached out to him seeking to buy methamphetamines and "a machine gun or a weapon that contains a large number of bullets."
He clearly had a romantic idea of what is available to the random foreigner, even in the far West where cowboys roam with six shooters and such.
Akram explained that he wanted the gun for intimidation to help settle a debt, according to Page.
Page also said that Akram fired his gun at some point during the standoff but did not provide details. Multiple gunshots could be heard in the area around the synagogue soon after the FBI breached the building.
In court, prosecutors highlighted Williams’ past felony convictions and Page said Williams brokered 10 to 15 other gun sales. Williams’ defense lawyer argued that he could not have known what Akram actually planned to do with the gun and said her client was being blamed for another person’s actions.
Magistrate Judge Rebecca Rutherford ordered Williams be held as a potential danger to the community.
