"Say, was you ever bit by a bee,
A dead one, as happened to me?"
"I may have, I may not...
But last night I got shot
Getting head from a dead bear," said she.
[Garowe] For the first time in as many months, suspected al-Shabaab ...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa... bandidoshard boyz raided a remote village in coastal Kenya on Monday morning, in an incident that comes at the time Somalia is undergoing political turmoil.
Police said the suspected Death Eaters whose number is yet to be established, killed at least six people in the bizarre incident, which comes at the time Kenya is working with International partners to lock the Death Eaters out of the country.
The incident took place at Widhu Majembeni village in Lamu County, a few miles from Boni Forest where a multi-agency team led by Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] have been conducting operations to flush out the krazed killers.
During the incident, police said, the Death Eaters torched several houses in the village while shooting randomly. It's not clear if security officers were at the site when the Death Eaters attacked the village at dawn.
While confirming the attack, Lamu County Commissioner Irungu Macharia said of the victims, one was rubbed out while another one was hacked to death. The remaining four were burnt to death in their houses.
Macharia said investigations into the incursion have commenced. Although the motive is not yet known, the Death Eaters often target security forces, civil servants, and innocent in their cowardly attacks.
Curiously, the incident comes two years after the attack which targeted the United States army at Manda Bay in Lamu County. The Jan 5, 2020 incident left three Americans dead triggering surveillance in the camp, which is strategic for the US in East Africa.
Bello Turji, a notorious bandidos’ leader in Zamfara State, on Monday, released 52 people who had been under captivity for a long time, Daily Trust reports.
"The freed captives are currently being moved from the forest to an agreed spot where they will be ferried to Shinkafi town.
"Buses have been lined up and have been directed to start moving towards Maberiya, an area just 5km east of Shinkafi town," a resident who craved anonymity said.
Turji is the arrowhead of killings and kidnappings around Shinkafi — Sabon Birni and Isah local government areas of Zamfara and Sokoto states.
Last month, Turji wrote Shinkafi Emirate Council, stressing his willingness to lay down his arms and embrace peace.
Sources said it was part of the dialogue with Turji that led to the release of the kidnapped victims.
Security sources had in 2021 told SaharaReporters that Turji was trained by Buharin Daji, a notorious bandit that was killed by security operatives about three years ago.
Turji took charge of the Shinkafi armed wing of the group after the demise of Daji.

[Garowe] A notorious Eritrea ...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age... n-Dutch human trafficker was arrested in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, International Police [INTERPOL] has confirmed, days after his apprehension, ending the long search for his whereabouts.
John Habeta alias Obama, who holds citizenship in the Netherlands, but who owns a property in Leeds, and who for a price of $20,000 or more per head has been organizing travel of people from Sudan to Singapore and the Philippines.
John Habeta, 53, has been linked to a series of human trafficking cases within East Africa and around the world, with his preferred destination being Europe. His victims are mostly children and women, various police reports confirmed.
Interpol said John Hobeta was taken into custody at Schiphol International airport in Amsterdam on 25 December after his arrest in Kenya. His arrest, Interpol confirmed in a statement, came after years of failed police traps around the world.
Kenyan Police arrested John Habeta in Nairobi on 16 December as part of a sting operation coordinated between authorities in the Netherlands and Kenya with the support of INTERPOL’s General Secretariat headquarters, the statement further read.
Acting on globally sourced INTERPOL intelligence leads, the INTERPOL National Central Bureau [NCB] in The Hague alerted the Kenyan NCB to the runaway’s presence in Nairobi on 10 December.
An INTERPOL Red Notice — or international runaway alert — was published the same day for people smuggling and use of fake identity documents to carry out transcontinental smuggling operations, triggering the suspect’s surveillance and arrest on the outskirts of the Kenyan capital.
The Dutch national remains in jug in The Netherlands until trial where, if convicted, he faces a sentence of up to eight years in prison. Habeta was allegedly involved in at least four different operations to smuggle groups of Eritrean nationals into Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... using routes from Asia.
INTERPOL’s specialized unit on migrant smuggling and human trafficking identified Habeta as a high priority target in October 2020 when member countries alerted INTERPOL to new leads about the runaway’s global smuggling activities, which were immediately shared with the NCB in The Hague.
People smuggling syndicates are run like businesses with high-profit margins and links to a wide range of serious and often violent mostly peaceful crimes including illicit money flows, corruption, terrorism, trafficking in illicit goods, and human trafficking, the statement added.
International police cooperation Criminal groups behind human trafficking and migrant smuggling were already hit last July when INTERPOL’s operation Liberterra saw 286 suspects arrested worldwide.
In April, Operation Weka mobilized 24 source, transit, and destination countries enabling authorities in Africa and Europe to rescue nearly 500 victims of human trafficking and identify some 760 irregular migrants colonists.
Both operations boosted regional law enforcement cooperation into people smuggling and triggered associated police investigations in all continents into targets like Habeta.
"John Habeta alias Obama, who holds citizenship in the Netherlands, but who owns a property in Leeds, and who for a price of $20,000 or more per head has been organizing travel of people from Sudan to Singapore and the Philippines.
After smuggling them, his clients are then abandoned without any money or passports who often end up in prisons for years, some of his victims are still in Indonesian prisons and the women who gave birth in Indonesian prisons are raising their children in prison till this day.

Army on Monday claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid by a group of forces of Evil in Hamirpur area of Bhimber Gali Brigade in J&K's Rajouri.
Official sources told Greater Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... that Army soldiers posted in the BG Brigade, the area also referred as 'forward Balakote sector' "noticed an infiltration attempt by a group of infiltrators".
"The infiltrators were challenged with a kaboom triggered on the spot to foil this attempt," a source said.
Soon after the incident, the entire area along the Line of Control was cordoned by the Army and searches started to nab the infiltrators, he added.
As per sources today's could have been a BAT attack attempt as was attempted in north Kashmir's Kupwara on Saturday. The Army on Sunday said it foiled a "BAT action" in Keran sector of frontier district Kupwara by killing a bully boy the preceding day.
There has been a security high alert along the LoC already with intelligence agencies having an apprehension that multiple infiltration attempts could be made in coming days with bully boy outfits "attempting to push in as many forces of Evil as they can in near future".
