[Breitbart] Big Bend Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up with CBP’s Air and Marine Operations to apprehend a group of migrants attempting to use camouflage to conceal their location. The migrants attempted to conceal their location in the rocks and brush after fleeing from Border Patrol agents.
Big Bend Sector Chief Patrol Agent Sean McGoffin tweeted multiple images of migrants wearing camouflage as they attempted to avoid apprehension by Van Horn Station agents. The tweet shows a CBP Air and Marine Operations aircrew operating overhead to assist ground-based agents in finding and apprehending the migrants.
“On Dec. 27, @CBPAMO assisted Van Horn agents with the apprehension of more than 25 undocumented non-citizens attempting to conceal themselves in the brush after fleeing from the agents,” Chief McGoffin stated.
During the air and land operation, agents took 25 camouflage-wearing migrants into custody.
In many sectors, migrants being smuggled into the U.S. tend to seek apprehension and even turn themselves in to the first law enforcement official they find after crossing the border. In the Big Bend Sector, migrants frequently wear camouflage and utilize other tactics to avoid apprehension.
So far this year, Big Bend Sector agents apprehended 6,872 migrants according to the most recent report available from CBP officials. Of that, all but 524 were classified as single adults. Included in the total are 292 unaccompanied alien children (an increase of 76 percent over the same period in FY21) and 232 family unit aliens (a 201 percent increase). The Big Bend Sector ranks ninth out of the nine southwest border sectors.

My guess is most of them were not returned to wherever they came from. This will produce 10,000,000 more illegal aliens here by the end of the first term Virtually all of them on full public assistance and healthcare. Unsustainable and catastrophic impact.
[DENVER.CBSLOCAL] A Lakewood police agent who was shot in the line of duty during a deadly shooting spree has been identified by police officials as Agent Ashley Ferris. She underwent another surgery on Wednesday.
Lakewood police officials say Ferris shot and killed the gunman, Lyndon McLeod, who ultimately killed five people on Dec. 27.
They say he encountered Ferris at Alaska and Vance Streets in the Belmar shopping center. Ferris ordered him to drop his weapon as he walked toward her. He then shot her in the abdomen.
While on the ground, Ferris shot McLeod, killing him.
"All of us at the Lakewood Police Department are incredibly proud of Agent Ferris and the bravery shown by her and her fellow law enforcement officers during this active shooter situation. The entire Lakewood Police family will be here to support Agent Ferris and her family as she embarks on this recovery process." says Lakewood Police Chief Dan McCasky, "Our hearts are incredibly heavy with the loss of life and injuries suffered by others during this rampage. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cardenas, Gunn-Maldonado, Scofield, Steck and Swinyard families, as well as the families of those injured."
Lakewood police say they first received a call about shots fired at Colfax Ave. and Kipling St. at around 6 p.m. One person died at that scene. Police had a section of a parking lot in front of a liquor store, tattoo parlor and Thai restaurant taped off.
Officers found that suspect vehicle in the Belmar area, and when they tried to approach the suspect, they shot at officers who shot back at the suspect. The suspect was able to get away on foot.
There was also heavy police presence at Alaska Drive and Vance Street. Police say the suspect committed “felony menacing” at one store while armed.
Then the suspect went inside the Hyatt House hotel on Alaska Drive. The suspect allegedly shot one person inside the hotel, and that victim was taken to the hospital.
Officers then confronted the suspect again outside of the hotel, and the suspect reportedly shot at them, hitting one officer. The officer is in surgery in unknown condition.
The suspect died at that scene.

This guy was "known" to the authorities, had been "investigated," (when, for what, they're not saying). I'd imagine he fit the profile of a crank who at least some people knew was going to come to no good end. But in the Peoples' Democratic Republic of Denver, none of the people he came for thought to take any sort of precautions. Or at least, if any of them did, we are not hearing about it.

Most big city police chiefs and lots of country sheriffs wear 4 stars on their lapels. They have Superintendents, Commandants and High Sheriffs. They pretty much make up their organizational charts any way they please, nomenclature included.

Police agent sounds like they don’t want to use that gendered term, policewoman.
The Zamfara State Police Command has rescued 21 Islamiyya school children from Rini town under Bakura Local Government Area of the state kidnapped by bandidos on Friday.
The police also confirmed that the Islamiyya school teacher, Mallam Lawali Ibrahim, and one driver were still with the abductors.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Shehu Mohammed, said the victims were rescued by security operatives after a gun duel with the bandidos.
According to him, the Islamiyya school children and their teacher were travelling to Dandume in Katsina State when the armed bandidos blocked the highway and kidnapped many commuters along the road.
He said, "On 31st December, 2021 at about 11:00 p.m., a distress call was received from Kucheri Village via Tsafe Local Government Area that armed bandidos in their large number blocked Gusau-Funtua Highway at Kucheri axis and kidnapped unspecified number of commuters in five different vehicles.
"Police tactical operatives in conjunction with the military promptly responded to the distress call and moved to the scene where they engaged the bandidos in a shootout.
"The police operatives succeeded in rescuing 21 kidnapped children including two females who were coming from Rini Village in Bakura Local Government Area to Katsina State along with their teacher named Lawali Ibrahim."
A total of 874 cars have been set alight during New Years Eve celebrations in La Belle France, police say.
However, the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits... the interior ministry said the number was much lower than in 2019. Authorities also reported a rise in the number of people stopped and detained.
A curfew to tackle COVID-19 meant no significant disruption took place this time last year.
Car burning has effectively become an annual event in French suburbs since riots in 2005 in several cities.
Some 95,000 police and gendarmes were mobilised during recent New Year's celebrations, French media report - including 32,000 firefighters and security personnel.
In Gay Paree, where face masks have been made compulsory again, 779 people were fined for not wearing a mask.
While restrictions have been partially lifted in La Belle France, more rules will come into place this month due to concerns for the Omicron variant.
From 3 January, public gatherings will be limited to 2,000 people for indoor events, and remote working will become compulsory for those who are able to.
La Belle France saw a drop in the number of cars set alight this New Year's Eve due to the COVID pandemic. There were 874 cars burned at the end of 2021 compared to 1,316 on New Year's Eve 2019, the Interior Ministry said.
Last year, La Belle France's coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... lockdown meant there were no statistics available for 2020.
The French practice of setting cars on fire at the start of the new year dates back to the 1990s in the region around Strasbourg in the eastern part of the country.
Youths in primarily lower-income neighborhoods began the practice in earnest in the 90s, where it then spread as a sign of protests.
During protests in housing projects across La Belle France in the fall of 2005, police said nearly 9,000 vehicles were torched during political unrest.
A variety of reasons are given for car burnings in La Belle France, from rebellious youths, to a desire to cover up criminal acts, as well as false insurance claims.
Hurrah. The sultan has found a new scapegoat to exploit for fun and profit.
[Rudaw] An indictment recently prepared by the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office targets dozens of Kurdish mullahs for using their mother tongue’s terms which have allegedly been adopted by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), claiming that these words are not used by Kurds in the country.
As part of recent investigations against the opposition-held Istanbul municipality for allegedly recruiting people affiliated to terrorist organizations, the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office prepared an indictment against Religious Scholars Mutual Aid and Solidarity Association (DIAYDER) which is consisted of Kurdish mullah who preach during Friday congregational prayers and funerals.
The 335-page indictment, a copy of which has been obtained by Rudaw English, claims that DIAYDER is affiliated to the PKK and allegedly follows instructions of the gang’s locked away Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit! leader Abdullah Ocalan. The PKK, which struggles for increased cultural and political rights of Kurds in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... , is considered a terrorist group by Ankara.
Kurdish common words like civak (community), parastin (protection), jiyan (life), asiti (peace), taybet (special), ol (religion), bersiv (answer), and rojhilat (east) are among terms the indictment claims "are not used by people" but "used and adopted" by the PKK.
Kurdish language is banned in formal settings in Turkey and usage of certain words like "Kurdistan" may put someone in jail for years. Kurdish music is sometimes targeted as well for allegedly propagating for the PKK.
"Unfortunately, your ignorance and hatred towards the Kurdish language and Kurds has reached the highest point," Kurdish Language and Culture Network said in a tweet, attaching part of the indictment about Kurdish terms. "If they can, they will write our grammar as well."
Mehmet Emin Ekmen, deputy leader of the Ottoman Turkish opposition Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA), tweeted in Kurdish, using the terms which the indictment claims are affiliated to the PKK.
The trial of 23 people affiliated to the Kurdish religious association will begin on February 18. Nine of them have been detained, reported state media on December 24. The indictment seeks the sentencing of each of the mullahs to up to 15 years for "being a member of an armed terrorist organization" and "knowingly and willingly aiding an armed terrorist organization."
The indictment claims that Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, held by the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), employed these clergymen as imam who also bathed the dear departed as per Islamic tradition. It adds that DIAYDER aided the families affiliated to the PKK.
Ottoman Turkish interior ministry said on December 26 that it is investigating the recruitment of hundreds of "terrorists" by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipalitym including 455 affiliated to the PKK.

Rudaw English reached out to Ihsan Chalabi, mayor of nearby Sidakan sub-district, several times but he was not immediately available.
Chalabi on Saturday evening confirmed the arrest to Rudaw.
The Iraqi border guards have looked into the case, confirming that the two young men were detained by the Ottoman Turkish forces, he noted.

The IDF struck targets in the southern Gaza Strip in response to rocket fire which landed off the coast of Tel Aviv earlier.
The IDF struck targets in the Gaza Strip on Saturday night in response to two rockets which were fired earlier from Gaza and fell in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of central Israel, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced on Saturday night.
A Hamas site located west of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip was targeted by the Israel Air Force (IAF), according to Palestinian reports. IDF artillery targeted sites in the northern Gaza Strip during the strikes as well.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced that it had struck a number of targets in Hamas's rocket production complex. Additionally, IDF tanks targeted posts belonging to Hamas along the Gaza border.
"The terrorist organization Hamas is responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip and bears the consequences of terrorist acts from the Gaza Strip," said the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
Two rockets launched from the Hamas-run Gaza Strip fell in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of central Israel early on Saturday morning.
"Earlier this morning, two rocket launches were identified from the Gaza Strip toward the Mediterranean. The rockets fell off the coast of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. According to protocol, no sirens were sounded and no interception took place," the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.
The rockets were heard in the cities of Tel Aviv, Holon, Bat Yam and Rishon Lezion.
The rocket fire comes just days after a civilian working on the Gaza border fence was shot and lightly wounded near the border with the northern Gaza Strip.
Shortly after the shooting on Wednesday, the IDF responded with artillery fire towards a number of Hamas posts in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian reports claimed that at least three Gazan farmers were wounded in the retaliatory strikes.
The rocket launches come as the Israeli military said that this had been the longest period of operational quiet in relation to the four most recent operations in the coastal enclave.
The spike in tensions around the Gaza Strip comes amid a wave of terror attacks in the West Bank and Jerusalem, as well as growing tensions in Israeli prisons.
Additionally, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement has demanded the release of Hisham Abu Hawash, a Palestinian in administrative detention who has been on hunger strike for over 130 days. Hawash’s detention has reportedly been frozen in recent days, although he is continuing his hunger strike and is hospitalized.
This is a developing story.

[Rudaw] At least one person was injured in a suspected Ottoman Turkish attack in northeast Syria (Rojava), a conflict monitor reported on Saturday, days after a similar offensive took the lives of three people.
"With heavy artillery, the Ottoman Turkish forces targeted the public facilities and the municipality building" in Hasaka’s Zarkan district, injuring at least one person, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.
There are initial reports of more injuries, but are not confirmed yet, SOHR added.
The recent attack resulted in material damage as well.
Hasaka has been a recent target of Ankara.
At least three people, including a mother and a child, were killed while several others were maimed when Ottoman Turkish forces bombed Zarkan and Tel Tamer districts in Hasaka on Thursday.
Four other people died in Ottoman Turkish shelling in Zarkan district on December 21.
Rojava’s internal security forces (Asayish) have previously described The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... ’s offensives targeting northern Hasaka as "an attempt to displace the residents."
Several families have left the province as Ottoman TurkishArclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s and bombardment spark fear in its residents, according to SOHR.
Turkey has conducted three military operations in northern Syria since 2016, two of them against Kurdish fighters who Ankara considers a branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and a threat to its national security. It has been threatening a new offensive against Kurdish forces in Rojava in the recent months.
[Rudaw] A refugee was killed early Saturday morning in the notorious al-Hol camp housing thousands of Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) affiliates in northeast Syria (Rojava), a conflict monitor reported.
The Syria man was shot full of holes "at dawn today [Saturday] in front of the Syrians mosque inside the camp," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.
The conflict monitor attributes the crime to ISIS sleeper cells that are active in the camp.
"The unknown gunman is likely to be from the Islamic State [ISIS] group," SOHR noted.
The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested thousands of ISIS fighters and their wives and children when they took control of the group’s last stronghold in Syria in March 2019. Most of these people are held at al-Hol, which is home to more than 60,000 people - mostly women and kiddies of different nationalities.
The recent killing of the Syrian refugee is one of several recent incidents of murder at the camp. At least six people, including Iraqis, were killed in al-Hol last month, AFP reported SOHR as saying.
The camp reported 73 crimes that led to the death of 79 people, including security members, in the first eleven months of 2021, according to SOHR.
However, man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them... a media outlet affiliated with the Kurdish authorities in Rojava raised the toll to 126 crimes during that year, marking 2021 as "the deadliest" at the camp.
Al-Hol has been branded a breeding ground for terrorism. The camp’s internal security forces (Asayish) in late November, arrested 14 Iraqis that "confessed to killings, chaos, raiding reception centers and targeting internal security forces" inside the camp.
There have been repeated calls from Kurdish and US officials asking the international community to repatriate their nationals from al-Hol, but only a few countries have responded positively as they are worried about security concerns.
Russia has so far repatriated 233 children. A group of 194 people from 48 families left the camp in November.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and a group of "armed criminals" clashed in the southeast of the country, leaving three IRGC members dead in addition to six criminals, state news agency IRNA reported on Saturday.
The IRGC said in a statement they identified through their intelligence a hideout and headquarters of a number of well-known armed criminals.
The clash between the IRGC and the criminals also lead to five other criminals being maimed and the destruction of their headquarters.
According to the IRGC statement, the criminals used "human shields" in the clash, and that three local members of the Basij militia fighting along the IRGC were killed in the festivities.
The clash took place in the predominantly Sunni Moslem Sistan-Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... province near the border with Pakistain. The area has long seen festivities with narcos, since it’s also near the border with Afghanistan where the trade of opium and heroin thrives.
The Sistan-Balochistan province has also long been plagued by Sunni hard boyz fighting the Iranian regime’s Shia authorities, as many Sunni Iranians complain of discrimination, which Tehran denies.
