CHICAGO (AP); Former "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett denied Monday that he staged an anti-gay, racist attack on himself in downtown Chicago, testifying at his trial that "there was no hoax." Smollette claims:
the money paid the brothers was for drugs
the brothers hoped to extort $1M each from him
one of the brothers was his sex and drug buddy

Perjury, filing a false police report, inciting Racial Disturbances resulting in numerous injuries, private and public property damages, wasting 100's if not 1000's of hours of Law Enforcement time needed by real victims, falsifying a Hate Crime for personal profit or gain.
If done by by 70+% of America.
They would be looking at likely 3 to 20 years.
When done by a Famous Liberal Black Homosexual Actor that is BLM and Democrat.
What? A large $$$$ fine and a couple 100 hours of community service "related" activities (usually PSA's).
an amusing incident happened during cross examination - the prosecutor read verbatim some of Smolletts texts in which Smollette uses the N word
Smollette asked if the prosecutor would elide it and the prosecutor said, 'no - these are your words and if I change them they aren't your words'

The media take on all this, of course, will be that it's "gay bashing" to make this guy discuss the milieu that presented the ingredients for this event.

I suspect that Jussie is an embarrassment to most of the leftists and a contemptible phony to most everyone else but who knows.

Slavery ring raked in more than $200 million in southern Georgia
Two workers died in brutal conditions that saw them picking onions at gunpoint for 20 cents a bucket
Migrants were kept in squalid camps surrounded by electric fencing
Conspirators accused of raping, kidnapping, threatening to kill the migrants
Twenty-four members of the crime ring are now facing mail fraud, forced labor, money laundering and witness tampering charges
Federal officials have been investigating the ring for three years in a probe dubbed 'Operation Blooming Onion'
Only two of the defendants are described as South Georgia business owners - most are contractors and recruiters.
There were essentially three aspects to the alleged human trafficking operation: misusing the H-2A visa program to bring in workers from Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras under the pretext of being agricultural workers; abusing and exploiting the workers to make money; and laundering the proceeds through big cash purchases, cashier's checks and a casino.
Investigators have dubbed the gang the 'Patricio TCO' (a transnational criminal organization) after Maria Patricio, a 70-year-old resident of Nicholls, Georgia.
She is accused of filing fraudulent petitions to bring workers into the United States via the country's H-2A work visa program. Patricio has pleaded not guilty to the charges against her, VICE reports.
Under H-2A, a worker's legal status is contingent on remaining under the employment of the party that sponsored their visa. This means they are tied to that sponsor and cannot simply pick up sticks and work for someone else.
Starting in at least 2015, the criminals starting to haul in thousands of workers, allegedly promising them they would be paid under the terms of a contract - typically $10 to $12 per hour and would be provided with transportation, housing and food.
The criminal enterprise would then send dozens of false petitions to the government seeking more than 71,000 laborers for an 'agricultural employer.'
The US then issued 'thousands' of these visas to foreign nationals.
Georgia is second only to Florida for most H-2A workers in the nation.
Once the more than 100 victims were brought into southern Georgia under the program and were kept in cramped, unsanitary quarters in camps with little or no food, limited plumbing and without safe water, according to the indictment.
Migrant workers were also allegedly charged unlawful fees they could not afford, and some were illegally forced to do lawn care, construction, and restaurant work.
Others were threatened with violence or deportation, the indictment states, and they would coerce the workers and witnesses to provide the federal government with 'materially false information' to hide their illegal activities.
Federal officials say the slavery ring extended across southern Georgia where farmers paid the conspirators to provide contract laborers.
Often, they were sold to other members of the crime ring in the southern Georgia counties of Atkinson, Bacon, Coffee, Tattnall, Toombs and Ware. But the illegal activities extended within the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Georgia; the Middle District of Florida; the Southern District of Texas.
The defendants then allegedly laundered the cash by siphoning millions into a casino and through the purchases of land, homes, vehicles, and businesses.

The Air Force vet was jailed in 2018 for leaking a classified report to the media during the 2016 and subsequently being prosecuted under the Espionage Act
During the interview, Winner, 30, asserted that she's not a traitor and only acted in 'service to the American people' when she leaked the classified documents
'I am not a traitor. I am not a spy. I am somebody who only acted out of love for what this country stands for,' Winner, now released and living in Texas, said
Whistleblower Winner revealed during the interview that she cut herself regularly in prison and developed a drug addiction

[Washington Examiner] An attorney to several people charged in connection to the Capitol on Jan. 6 wants the U.S. government to release videos that he says will reveal the "truth" of that day.
Joseph McBride told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday that he had filed a motion in court "asking for the unmasking of these videos."
He said the motion was "joined by The New York Times and a 16-point press conglomerate." McBride said "they signed on" because they "want to see the truth about what happened as well."
The motion was filed Dec. 1 in the Capitol riot case of Ryan Nichols , a 30-year-old former Marine from Texas who claims footage deemed sensitive by the Justice Department could exonerate him and other Jan. 6 defendants, according to the Epoch Times .
McBride and Nichols, his client, say the unreleased footage shows the activities of four suspected government agent provocateurs, whom he has nicknamed "RedFace45," "GogglesMan," "PippiLongScarf," and "BirdMan." The filing claims that among the footage is video that "shows multiple occurrences of police brutality, including a vicious beating given by a Metropolitan Police Department officer of an unarmed civilian woman."
The Washington Examiner reached out to the Justice Department for comment. Prosecutors have criticized Nichols for "casting himself as a hero who was merely fighting back against officers who were ’terrorizing’ civilians."
So IF (more likely than not) the Fed's, Congressional Police or the DC Police steered the protesters in the Federal buildings. While they were focused on protesting OUTSIDE on the Streets.
Then victims may have grounds to legally claim Entrapment.
McBride is a brave man, but our legal profession generally is a disgrace:
“I made my bones at Manhattan Legal Aid and the Innocence Project,” says McBride.
“None of my colleagues from those places have supported my representing [my client Richard Barnett aka] Bigo in any way. This is because … they fear being canceled by their own group more than anything.”

I wonder if these "agent provocateur" individuals were sworn LEOs or did they come from a more clandestine government agency, or even better, a private contractor group that has clandestine links to the Wilderness of Mirrors? Something that might prompt the answer would be the screen shot of an NCIS/SIPERNET inquiry by an investigator with SCI access? Just a thought, no basis for it beyond spitballing...

[DW] Another three of 17 kidnapped members of a US missionary group have been freed in Haiti. The gang, who kidnapped the group in October, is still holding another 12 people for ransom.
A Haitian gang has released another three people who were kidnapped in October when they were visiting an orphanage in the country.
The three were released on Sunday according to the US religious group that paid for their trip.
Another 12 people are still being held by the so-called "400 Mawozo" gang.
"We are thankful to God that three more hostages were released last night. Those who were released are safe and seem to be in good spirits," Ohio-based Christian Aid Ministries said in a statement on Monday.
Two other ministry group members were released in November.
RANSOM DEMANDS
After the abduction, the leader of the 400 Mawozo gang threatened to kill the hostage unless their demands were met. According to authorities that included a $1 million (roughly €900,000) per person ransom demand.
Christian Aid Ministries did not give the names of those released, why they were freed or other information.
A Haitian gang has released 5 of 17 kidnapped members of a US missionary group. It has previously demanded $1 million per person ransom to release them.
"We long for all the hostages to be reunited with their loved ones," it said.
Sixteen US citizens were among those kidnapped in October, along with a Canadian. The group includes 5 men, 7 women and 5 children.
They were taken while on a trip to visit an orphanage east of the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince.
TURMOIL IN HAITI
The release comes amid an ongoing spike in kidnappings in Haiti. The US State Department warns travelers to avoid visiting the country; "kidnapping is widespread and victims regularly include US citizens."
Haiti is still reeling from the political fallout after the July 7 presidential liquidation, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck in mid-August and a severe fuel shortage.
Gang violence also continues to plague parts of the country. On Sunday, a gang leader known as "Ti Lapli" posted a YouTube video warning people to avoid the Martissant district of the capital city. It has been the site of violent mostly peacefulfestivities between warring gangs.
"The next few days will be difficult. We will not remain with our arms crossed in face of those who try to destroy us," he said.
[An Nahar] Another Chinese property developer said Monday it had defaulted on a major bond repayment, citing liquidity problems amid a government crackdown on the debt-laden sector.
China's real estate industry -- a key growth driver in the world's second-largest economy -- has cooled in recent months after Beijing tightened home buying rules and launched a regulatory assault on speculation.
The moves have created headaches for several major developers, notably China Evergrande, the country's second-largest by volume that is weighed down by billions of dollars in debt.
On Monday, Hong Kong-listed Sunshine 100 China Holdings said it had missed a Sunday deadline to make $179 million in principal and interest payments on a 10.5 percent bond.
The default was due to "liquidity issues arising from the adverse impact of a number of factors including the macroeconomic environment and the real estate industry", the company said in an exchange filing.
Sunshine 100 has repeatedly struggled to meet its debt obligations this year and also defaulted on a bond repayment in August.
The company now has $385 million of outstanding dollar notes, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
Evergrande -- which is drowning in $300 billion of debt -- has so far managed to avoid default, but it has dollar bond coupons worth $82.5 million in total due Monday, when a 30-day grace period ends, according to Bloomberg.
On Friday, embattled founder Xu Jiayin was summoned by officials after the company released a statement warning it may not have enough money to "continue to perform its financial obligations."
The Guangdong provincial government later said it would send a working group to Evergrande to "supervise and promote enterprise risk management."
Evergrande's shares in Hong Kong closed down 19.6 percent on Monday, while Sunshine 100 ended the day down more than 14 percent.
Rival developer Kaisa last week said it had failed in a bid for a debt swap that would have bought it crucial time to pay back some of its bonds.

A Chinese economic depression caused by the Wuuuuhaaan COVID Pandemic.
The number of ships docked off the California coast is still at an all-time high - contradicting claims from officials the number has dwindled in recent weeks
On Tuesday, Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Gene Seroka announced there were 46 boats stationed off the shores of Long Beach and Los Angeles
However, according to data provided by ship-tracking outfit MarineTraffic, there are currently 96 cargo ships docked near the two popular ports
The inconsistency in the number of ships stems from a new policy recently employed by shipping trade groups
The new policy encourages boats traversing the Pacific, often hailing from Asia, to sit 150 miles offshore as they wait to unload their precious cargo
Some ships have been waiting to berth since October, amid the US' continuing supply chain crisis
The policy, put into effect of November 16, encourages incoming vessels to wait out in the open ocean amid the traffic jams - rather than at the backed-up ports
Looking at Vesselfinder a Global Ship tracking site.
What is seen: Port of San Francisco is located in United States (USA) at 37.8119N, 122.4034W. 41 vessels have arrived within the past 24 hours and 7 ships are expected to arrive in the next 30 days.
Port of San Diego is located in United States (USA) at 32.6734N, 117.224W. 16 vessels have arrived within the past 24 hours and 5 ships are expected to arrive in the next 30 days.
Port of Portland, Oregon is located in United States (USA) at 45.5731N, 122.7024W. 24 vessels have arrived within the past 24 hours and 9 ships are expected to arrive in the next 30 days.
How Long does it take to unload and leave for the next container ship?
Here is a 1st hand Ship hands answer

Classic democrat technique, lie by using partial truth or modified standards. Change the definition of something and poof, problem solved. Eventually the mess is exposed, but often after the guilty have moved onward and upward and you find a way to obfuscate and blame the other side.
My favorite Command-Economy disaster story comes from being the senior escort officer to the visiting Lieutenant General in Command of the newly created Ukrainian Air Force. During a cocktail hour he shared that he was a Bear Bomber Regimental Commander in the former Soviet Air Force. Careers were dependent on strict metrics dictated from above, so tracking of things was very centralized and monitored. So when operational readiness rates fell below 70 percent for the aircraft, heads would start to roll. So they falsified flight hours, but the system forecast parts and fuel consumption rates, and so parts and railroad tanker cars of jet fuel were sent to match the reported flight hour numbers. The parts were hidden all over the area, but the fuel was a problem, so they just opened the valves and let it pour into the ground under the railroad. Problem solved, until a smoker a few months in, stopped by the lake about 1/2 mile away to smoke and threw the match in to the lake, and the fire started. Apparently it burned for days and everyone was mystified...

Hmmmm, I wonder if Executive Director Gene Seroka is affected with exotropia.
That might be the reason for his low numbers; that is he sees only 1/2 of the picture...
[ZeroHedge] Finland is set to modernize its defense forces with new US stealth fighters, according to local newspaper Iltalehti, citing several sources.
The Finnish Defence Forces, consisting of the Finnish Army, the Finnish Navy, and the Finnish Air Force, proposed to the Ministry of Defense that Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II should be acquired to replace its aging fleet of McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet.
According to sources, the Ministry of Defense will draw up a proposal to procure the stealth fighter in an $11.3 billion deal.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] A three-party deal to form a new German government under center-left leader Olaf Scholz cleared its final hurdle on Monday, setting the scene for Scholz to succeed longtime Chancellor Angela Merkel ...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists... this week.
Germany’s environmentalist Greens said their rank-and-file members approved the agreement reached last month, with 86% voting for it in a ballot. The other two parties — Scholz’s center-left Social Democrats and the pro-business Free Democrats — overwhelmingly approved the agreement at weekend conventions.
"We are going into a strong new government, with a very strong and diverse Cabinet, with a strong tailwind from the ballot," said Green co-leader Annalena Baerbock, who is set to become Germany’s first female foreign minister.
The coalition aims to modernize Europe’s biggest economy, step up efforts against climate change and introduce more liberal social policies.
Scholz is due to be elected as chancellor in parliament on Wednesday, ending the center-right Merkel’s 16-year tenure. He will need the support of at least 369 politicians in the 736-seat lower house to take the top job. The three coalition partners have 416 seats between them, so he should be assured of a comfortable majority.

[Just The News] Women will not be required to register for the military draft in the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act, according to Politico.
Legislation expanding the Selective Service System received bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress earlier this year.
Women have been allowed to serve in combat since 2015, prompting calls to include women in the draft.
The final version of the defense act will be introduced Monday, a source told Politico. The expanded draft was removed so that Republicans would accept military justice system reforms.
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) tweeted on Monday evening, "If the massive expansion of the draft to include women is not removed, I will continue to insist on a vote on the Senate floor to strike the provision."

It's never really been about equality, only power.

Why do we even bother having people register for the draft? The US has had an all-volunteer force since 1973. The military does not want conscripts - they don't want to be there, and often perform worse than volunteers.

In a large WWIII across 3 continents type of war, we will need a draft. Which is why we still have selective service. I am all for women getting drafted. You wanted equal rights, you got it. Not for them in ground pounder combat roles. They mostly do not have the body mass and the endurance to cut it. Pilots and other roles, absolutely they can pull their weight.
[Just The News] Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said Congress should "can" President Joe Biden's multitrillion dollar Build Back Better Act, which Democrats are seeking to pass with budget reconciliation to avoid relying on votes from Republicans.
"Honestly, I would just can this whole bill," said Musk, ranked number two on the 2021 Forbes 400 list of the wealthiest Americans. "Don't pass it. That's my recommendation."
Musk argued that the federal government should "get out of the way and not impede progress," emphasizing that the government should be a "referee" rather than a "player on the field."
"Rules and regulations are immortal," Musk said at the Wall Street Journal's CEO Council event on Thursday evening. "They don't die. The vast majority of rules and regulations live forever ... there's not really an effective garbage collection system for removing rules and regulations, so this hardens the arteries of civilization where you are able to do less and less over time."
Biden's budget bill includes $7,500 subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles. It also includes an additional $4,500 for the purchase of union-made electric vehicles, which would exclude the nonunion Tesla.

I was working off shore, waiting on the Helicopter to go home, when one of the hedge-bearded Oceaneering guys told us the story of one of the crane operators. Older fellow, had a lady in Houma that'd he'd visit. Would take his blue pill before the helo came so by the time he made it to her house, he'd be ready. So they're waiting when word comes down the helo had mechanical issues and they'd leave tomorrow. The crane guy looked around and asked, "I already took the pill, what do I do?" The rest all decided that was the best time to flee, with one yelling, "Don't look at me!"
