[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] During an annual fair at Washington & Lee University College Republicans displayed campaign materials in support of Glenn Youngkin
But the club was told by Director of Student Activities Kelsey Goodwin that their display violated university policy and to remove all endorsement material
Goodwin said because the university is a tax-exempt organization, the school could not endorse political figures
While the university itself cannot endorse a candidate, students at the school are free to because they speak for themselves and not the school they attend
Student's free speech has no effect on the university's tax-exempt status, so there is no rationale behind stopping students from handing out campaign flyers
The College Republicans were backing Virginia gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin, who is now tied with opponent Terry McAuliffe

Guess they haven't taken notice that the courts have removed qualified immunity to other university employees for violating student rights. I expect FIRE to be communicating with the university's lawyers.
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Samuel Goodman, writing in Bari Weiss' Common Sense Substack newsletter, made the case in a piece titled 'What We Lose When We Lose Thomas Jefferson'
The statue, which had stood in the City Council chamber since 1915, is being removed and likely sent off somewhere by the New York Historical Society
Goodman argues that the statue's removal is separate from the removal of Confederate monuments across America and called the move 'disgraceful'
New York City Council's Black, Latino and Asian Caucus called the statue a monument to 'the disgusting and racist basis on which America was founded'
During a hearing Monday, the Public Design Commission voted to remove the statue before the end of the year
The request for its removal came from the Commission on Racial Justice and Reconciliation, led by outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio's wife Charlene McCray

I am eagerly awaiting for the current crop of radical US Bolsheviks to pounce upon the namesake for the city and state of New York, the former Duke of York who later became James II, last Catholic king of England. From Wiki:
The Royal African Company (RAC) was an English mercantile (trading) company set up in 1660 by the royal Stuart family and City of London merchants to trade along the west coast of Africa.[1] It was led by the Duke of York, who was the brother of Charles II and later took the throne as James II. It shipped more African slaves to the Americas than any other company in the history of the Atlantic slave trade.
I invite proposals for a politically correct new name for the city and state.

[NYPOST] The southern border with Mexico is seeing the highest levels of illegal border crossings in 35 years, but the Department of Homeland Security has found one access point it can shore up — doling out $455,000 to a Delaware construction company for a fence around President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S., father of Hunter. He blames Trump for losing Afghanistan....... ’s "Summer White House."
In September, the department awarded a contract of $456,548 to Turnstone Holdings LLC for "PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF SECURITY FENCING AT 32 FARVIEW, REHOBOTH DELAWARE," according to USAspending.gov, an online database tracking federal government spending. It's not being built to keep intruders out. It's being built to keep Biden in, and it's worth every penny.
The contract started Sept. 21 and is expected to end Dec. 31. Construction of the fence is expected to end by that date.
The DHS is listed as the main awarding and funding office of the contract while the US Secret Service is listed as the subagency. Additional information and details about the fence have not been publicly released.
For security reasons, the Secret Service declined to discuss their "protective means and methods" with The Post when asked for comment.
DHS did not immediately respond to The Post’s inquiry about the contract.
The construction of the private security fence comes in a chaotic first year of Biden’s presidency, which has seen historic numbers of illegal immigrants colonists crossing at the southern border.
This week, data released by US Customs and Border Protection revealed that 1.7 million migrants colonists have crossed the border in FY 2021, the highest number since 1986.
The Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know... has faced backlash over its action — or sometimes inaction — throughout the surge, with critics slamming the president’s decision to halt construction of the border wall, which he did as one of his first actions as president.
This month, DHS announced its intention to cancel "the remaining border barrier contracts located within US Border Patrol’s (USBP) Laredo Sector and all border barrier contracts located in the Rio Grande Valley Sector."
Per the department, the unspent funds will be spent on environmental projects including "biological, cultural, and natural resource surveys" in the border region.
It is not the first time since Biden took office that security has been boosted around the North Shores home. In June, Secret Service and local law enforcement put together a checkpoint at an intersection on the way to the home, closed a nearby pond and put temporary flight restrictions in place, according to the Cape Gazette, which was the first to report on the contract.
During his second visit, the Coast Guard also took security measures by creating security zones in the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal and Atlantic Ocean.

Breaking: In the wake of yesterday's @FreeBeacon report, National School Board Association announces "we regret and apologize for the letter" to Biden admin characterizing concerned parents as potentially domestic terrorists pic.twitter.com/3RBufvWqAN

Representative Boebert gave the Department of Justice until November 1 to provide a detailed list of specific terrorist threats made by parents to the NSBA school boards.
Apparently the NSBA and the DOJ could not come up with one terrorist threat to present to that member of Congress.

Or, will the National School Board Association just do a Al Jolson song and dance?

You know won't be prosecuted but at least you can admit that you have trashed your office and are destroying the people's confidence in our justice system. Resign, you little shit.

why is there a National School Board Assn? All public schools are locally funded. Maybe we should do away with 'public' schools, return the tax money to citizens, and let them use 'private' schools. Tax money collected from non-pupil parents could be distributed to parents with pupils. hey? Don't tell me its too complex. I have programmed computers for 60+ years.
Because any organization that exists exclusively on tax dollars (schools, school boards, teachers) most have as many leeches and remora as is biologically tenable attached to them.

So, The Weirdos got another one right.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
The Pennsylvania association wrote in an internal memorandum that "the final straw" in the organization's decision to leave the association was a letter sent to President Joe Biden in September "suggesting that some parents should be considered domestic terrorists," the Daily Wire reported.
"The Governing Board of the Pennsylvania School Boards Association has voted unanimously to cancel the PSBA's longstanding membership in the National School Board's Association," the memo reportedly said.

[NYP] President Biden is being dragged on social media after a moment in his CNN town hall performance that has users comparing him to the cartoon "Beavis and Butthead."
While listening to a question from CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Biden stood on the stage with his arms bent in front of him and fists closed. Dozens of netizens took to Twitter sharing an image of Biden in the position along with a picture of Beavis, who is known for the trademark jittery pose.
"Biden is straight comedy! Uhhhh Beavis......" former Australian NBA player Andrew Bogut tweeted with a laughing face emoji.
Social media personality and commentator Mike Cernovich tweeted a video of Biden with his arms bent and asked, "What is Biden doing?"
Dozens of Twitter users flooded Cernovich’s replies, making the comparison between the president and the cartoon character.
"That or he’s about to transform into cornholio," one user wrote, referencing Beavis’ hyperactive alter ego that usually makes the gesture.
Moderate (or Middle) stage
Wandering: It represents the main problem for caregivers because they may lose the patient at night without appropriate clothes and because he can’t protect himself.
Emotional incontinence: It is an emotional disturbance, which, during it, the patient shows sudden, unexpected, and uncontrolled emotions, such as laughing, crying, and aggression with resistance to the caregivers.
Also, the patients in this stage suffer from illusions and delusions, and they may show impulsive behavior. Multiple tasking (tasks that require sequential steps), such as clothing and bathing, becomes difficult for patients in this stage.

My take: He really did think his hands were resting on a podium. It's sad, creepy and alarming.

Mail - President Joe Biden said police officers and emergency workers who refuse COVID-19 vaccination should stay home or be fired, as he answered questions during a CNN town hall on Thursday evening.
'Yes and yes,' he said to a thunderous round of applause.
Where do you go in this country (at this time) to find a "thunderous round of applause" for such a ridiculous comment? A CNN staged performance from start to finish.
Biden's handlers clearly want us to acknowledge that he is no longer in charge of anything. The goal appears to be for the public to go about their business and ignore him.

#3 How the hell is it that NOT ONE news outlet, left or right are addressing Biden's stage of dementia?
Some potential explanations (which are not mutually exclusive):
- Orangeophobia: reporting on any aspect of Biden's full-spectrum incompetence, weakness or corruption serves to validate Trump's bitingly accurate criticism of the muppet
- Loathing of Deplorables: cf #1. Any friend or supporter of OrangeMan is my enemy, who shall not be given any comfort or quarter under any circumstances -- cf the Lincoln Project bastards, or Bret Stephens at the NYT
- Fear of Canceling by Colleagues: Even those few journalists who are relatively immune to #1 or #2 are unwilling to risk the wrath of the herd by declaring that the Emperor's buck naked and sniffing little girls while his douchebag son launders money for Chinese Communist thieves (and Kazakh, Ukrainian and Russian thieves).
Re #3, two of the best journalists in the business refused point blank, when I confronted them with the truth about Hillary and Steele's Russiagate bullshit and then about the truth of Hunter & The Big Guy's blatant lies about their ChiCom connections, to break either story.
Each of these superb journalists, gentlemen both, became uncharacteristically angry, weirdly dismissive and nasty when I said, "You know the truth. Why are you not reporting it? Why spread lies?"
The emotional resistance is massive. It's sickening. "Sad!"

Every synonym for infallible.
Remember, the bats have been leaving the belfry since before The Iowa Caucus. To admit Mr. Biden's health problems is to untie all narrative until then, you horse faced pony soldier.

“ When Beavis turns into Cornholio, he will raise his forearms in a 90-degree angle next to his chest, pull his shirt over his head, and then begin to yell or scream erratically, producing a stream of gibberish and strange noises, his eyes wide.”.

I just can't fricking believe this nationwide Pravda filter. Is everyone bought by the Chi Coms?
Yes. Consider that CEOs of major corporations believe their primary responsibility is their fiduciary responsibility to their stake holders. That means profits are the most important thing to them. In a global economy, profits are more important than loyalty to the United States or, for that matter, accurately and fairly reporting the news. Their job is not to inform you but to make money by keeping you entertained. And, if they want to make profits in China, they must avoid doing anything that the CCP disapproves. That means media corporations like Disney (ABC), ViacomCBS and ComcastNBC will never say anything that makes #FJB look bad because he is Xi Jinping's boy. They have too much money at stake in China.

It really doesn't matter. No one pays attention to what he says--and that sounds snarky, but it's meant as a statement of truth. See, for example, the workers at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, who he announced with great fanfare would be working 24/7. They're not. And there are no consequences for them (or for anyone else) for ignoring Biden completely.
