It not like this suddenly slapped Congress in the face overnight.
We the taxpayers have had to learn to live within a defined income budget, or become homeless and even go to jail.
But every time Congress overspends, pretends to fight and ends up V-printing more $$$$ and causing greater inflation due to its spending addicition.
Look at Inflation as reducing our buying power. Eg. To purchase $1 worth of goods in 1990 would cost $2.07 in 2021 US dollars. A lost of 51% in consumer buying power. Now think of how that equates to Retirees?
Shouldn't Congress be held to the same legal standards it holds the Taxpayers by law?
[CONSERVATIVEBRIEF] Dr. Anthony Fauci ...American epidemiologist with rotating opinions, warnings about the unlikely, and reassurances that if you wear a mask you won't get COVID, as long as you're wearing multiple masks, assuming wearing a mask is necessary in the first place... was furious after being asked by a conservative radio host if he should resign due to American’s lack of trust in him.
On Wednesday the doctor spoke to conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt who grilled him on stepping aside, Fox News reported.
"I have lost confidence in the CDC and the FDA and I actually believe a lot of Americans, a significant part of America now have lost confidence in you, Dr. Fauci," Hewitt said. "Is there a point where you will say, ’I do more harm than good because people don’t listen to me anymore,’ and step aside?"
Fauci bristled at the question and said he has no intentions of resigning.
"No. Absolutely, unequivocally no, Hugh. Sorry," he said. "When you have an evolving situation and data are rapidly evolving in something that is unprecedented and unknown, you have to evolve with it and look at the data as it exists now and make to the best of your ability a decision, a recommendation, all the kinds of things that go into the evolution."
Hewitt said he gets why Fauci "lied" about masks, but he said it was "bad policy."
"It’s just a fact that Tony Fauci, not the guy I’m talking with but Tony Fauci- the person in people’s minds, is now an impediment to public health because people won’t listen to you," the host said. "They actively reject what Tony Fauci says for reasons which are complicated... but can you accept that if that’s just the fact, you ought to respond to it and say ’Mr. President, I think my time is up as a successful and effective spokesperson?’"

[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] A National teachers union training guides educators how to talk to parents about COVID-19 and instructs them to log their conversations into the Reach app
The Reach app was created by volunteers during AOC's 2018 campaign and has became a major tool in Democratic campaigns
The workshop is sponsored by vaccine equity group Made to Save, the National Educators Association (NEA), and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT)
One slide reads: 'We are NOT telling people what to do or what they should think. We ARE listening to people and responding authentically to their concerns'
Another reads: 'You do NOT need to be a healthcare expert to have good conversations,' but instructs teachers to encourage people to get vaccinated
Jennifer Mess, a drama teacher at a New Jersey public school blasted the workshop as 'a blatant effort to coerce, manipulate, and even track information'
Republican New Jersey state Senator Holly Schepisi said the training 'is an unconscionable breach of privacy and ethics' and 'borders on criminal'

When I was in grade school, teachers told stories of kids ratting out their parents to illustrate how awful the Soviet Union (then still a thing) was.
Times have changed.
