[NYPOST] Video captures the moment a firebug set aflame a ticket booth at an Italian American festival in Brooklyn last month — and nearly torched himself in the process.Adnan Ali Hussein, 28, can be seen at the ticket booth for the 18th annual Feast of Santa Rosalia in Bensonhurst on Aug. 24, according to the FDNY, which released footage of the incident Sunday.
Hussein first applies an "ignitable liquid" to the booth and then pulls an object out of his pocket and lights the booth on fire, officials said. Investigators believe he used a lighter, officials said.
The suspect can be seen on the video then jumping back in surprise when the flames nearly overtake him.
Hussein was arrested Sept. 2 and was charged with arson in the third degree, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief, officials said.

And the actual, tax payer funded mission of Ramstein Air Base, where does that stand at the moment, or does that no longer matter ?
Are we also to assume that the sick among these people are being bussed over to nearby Landstuhl Regional Medial Center (LRMC) for treatment at the US taxpayer's expense. Medical treatment that US military retirees and their families are NOT entitled to.
Shuttles also to the BX and Commissary, where US Military retiree ID cards are not recognized or allowed access for shopping ?
Bussed over to the PAX terminal for USAF worldwide shipment ?

Department of state has Nothing to do with this EVAC.
[NPASYRIA] After controlling Panjshir Valley, the last stronghold of the resistance forces led by Ahmad Shah Masoud, Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... has controlled the country as a whole, said Zabiullah Mujahid, the official front man for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, known as Taliban, in a presser on Monday.
In an audio recording, Ahmad Masoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front in Afghanistan, admitted that the Taliban is now controlling all of Afghanistan.
Although many of the leaders of the military resistance, including members of his family, were killed, Masoud said that they will continue resisting the Taliban in the Panjshir Valley.
A video which was posted on social media showed some fighters of the Taliban raising the flag in front of the headquarters of the governor of the state of Panjshir Valley, signaling the full control of the state that Ahmad Masoud had taken as a stronghold.
In the context, Zabiullah Mujahid reassured the residents of Panjshir Valley that they will be treated equally, adding: "they are our brothers and they will work with us for a common goal and prosperity of the country."
Since May, the Taliban has expanded its control of Afghanistan, coinciding with the start of the last phase of the withdrawal of the US forces, which was announced to be ended by August 31.
[Garowe] Puntland ...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion... , the northeastern state of Somalia, said on Friday it had sent forces to the neighboring region of Galmudug ...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth... to help the military there push al-Shabaab ...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... Islamist gunnies out of a strategic town they captured last month.
Last month, al-Shabaab attacked a military base in the Galmudug town of Amara and took control of it after battling with government special force units, known as Danab and Darwish.
Amara is a strategic town that lies on the route to the coastal town of Harardheere, another al-Shabaab stronghold.
The governor of Puntland's Mudug region, Abdilatif Muse Nuru San Yare, told Rooters they had sent troops with experience in fighting al-Shabaab to Galmudug.
"We have sent troops to Galmudug who know how to fight al-Shabaab and it is an alliance to eradicate al-Shabaab," Yare said. He did not say how many troops had been sent.
Al-Shabaab has been fighting in Somalia for years in an attempt to topple the central government and establish its own rule based on its strict interpretation of sharia, or Islamic law.
The group often carries out gun and kabooms targeting both military and civilians targets.
"Since Puntland....has experience in fighting al-Shabaab, we have asked them to help us expel al-Shabaab," Galmudug's Deputy Security Minister, Abdulahi Abdisalan, told Rooters.
The two states recently signed a security package and it was the basis of sending the troops to the region. Previously, Puntland has registered victories against the al-Shabaab group, further showcasing abilities in the operations across the country.
[LIBYAREVIEW] On Monday, the Libyan Presidential Council (PC) announced the release of a number of political prisoners who have already ended their jail terms, or who had not been judicially convicted. In a statement, the Presidential Council confirmed the release of late leader Muammar Qadaffy ...a proud Arab institution for 42 years, now among the dear departed, though not the dearest... ’s right-hand man, and personal Secretary Ahmed Ramadan from prison. It noted that it will continue working to achieve national reconciliation.
The PC also reiterated the importance of expediting the release of all forcibly imprisoned persons, and referring all pending cases to the judiciary, as soon as possible.
"The Council is directly following up with the relevant authorities on the release of all non-convicted detainees, ensuring the principles of justice and human rights ...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions... are achieved in building the new Libya," its statement read.
Notably, Libyan authorities announced the release of Saadi Qadaffy from prison, a source from within the justice ministry confirmed on Sunday. He is the third son of former Libyan leader Muammar Qadaffy, who was killed during a 2011 NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... -led uprising.
According to the source, Qadaffy’s son promptly boarded a flight to Istanbul upon his release. The source reportedly claimed that Saadi’s release was the outcome of negotiations with top tribal figures, and Prime Minister Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba.

Known as a playboy during his father's 42 years in power, al-Saadi was acquitted on appeal over the murder of Rayani in 2018, and press reports on Sunday said he had already flown to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... Al-Saadi Qadaffy was one of eight children of former Libyan ruler Muammar Qadaffy.

The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... Al-Saadi Qadaffy sought refuge in Niger until March 2014 when the country extradited him to stand trial for the 2005 killing of soccer coach Bashir al-Rayani.
The court of appeal cleared him of wrongdoing in April 2018 although he has been kept in a Tripoli prison since then accused of crimes against protesters.
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Militants have hacked to death at least 30 people in a new massacre in the restive northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo ...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material... Locals and sources from the United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... (UN) said on Monday that the murderous Moslems armed with machetes, sticks and clubs had raided an area of Ituri province on Saturday.
Dieudonne Malangayi, a local official, said more bodies had been discovered in the bush.
"The civilians who went to look for the bodies of the victims found 16 others in the bush, which makes 30 civilians massacred," he was quoted by AFP as saying.
A UN source also confirmed that at least 30 people had died in the attack.
Augustin Muhindo Musavuli, a village elder who helped look for bodies, said some had their throats slit, others were disemboweled.
Heart of Darkness stuff...
"We went into the bush with young people, accompanied by soldiers," he said. "We transported the bodies on cycle of violences... Lots of people died."
David Beyza Katabuka, head of the local Red Thingy, said he could not send a team to bury the bodies. "We fear for our security and we don’t have enough equipment to do the work."
No group immediately grabbed credit for the raid. But the Allied Democratic Forces ...the ADF is one of several murderous Moslem groups in NE Congo. In 2019 the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on them for the usual reasons. They don't appear to be affiliated with al-Qaeda or Islamic State, though ISIS claims their work from time to time — they just like killing infidels.... (ADF), a group linked to the Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... terrorist group ISIS has been blamed for the latest assault in the region. The group seldom makes public statements.
In late May, more than 50 people were killed in the region in a single day in an attack on two villages.
Since then, the two eastern provinces of North Kivu and Ituri have been under a state of siege and martial law.
The ADF, which first emerged as a rebel movement in neighboring Uganda in 1996, is considered the deadliest of scores of armed militias that roam the mineral-rich eastern DR Congo.
Congolese authorities and rights groups have accused the ADF of killing hundreds of civilians during a fresh spate of violence in apparent retaliation for army offensives against them since late 2019.
In addition to the ADF, eastern Congo also suffers from inter-communal violence that left thousands of people dead over the past years.

[IsraelTimes] Ahamed Samsudeen, the alleged perpetrator of Friday’s attack, was stripped of residency status in 2019; his appeal against deportation was set to be heard later this month
The Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... -inspired krazed killer who attacked shoppers in a New Zealand supermarket had been fighting deportation for immigration fraud, leaving the nation’s leader expressing frustration at the process.
The new details about the attack Friday in Auckland emerged as the condition of some of those injured in his attack improved.
Three critically injured patients remain in intensive care but are in stable, pH balanced condition, Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield said Sunday. Police added that the condition of one of the critically injured patients had improved. Bloomfield said a fourth person still hospitalized is in stable, pH balanced condition, while the three others have been released and are recovering at home.
The attacker, Ahamed Samsudeen, 32, arrived in New Zealand 10 years ago on a student visa. A Tamil Moslem, he applied for refugee status on the basis of being persecuted in Sri Lanka, where a civil war ended in 2009 with the defeat of a Tamil rebel group.
Immigration New Zealand declined his application, but he won his appeal, gaining permanent residency in 2014.
Police first noticed Samsudeen’s online support for terrorism in 2016 and by the following year, immigration agents knew he wanted to fly to Syria to join the Islamic State insurgency. They began reviewing his immigration status, fearing he could be a threat.
In 2018, Samsudeen was placed in durance vile Please don't kill me! after he was found with Islamic State videos and knives, and the following year, his refugee status was canceled after authorities found evidence of fraud.
"My understanding is that in the process of investigation into the terrorist, it was discovered that some of the documents that he had used in order to get his refugee status looked to have been fabricated," Deputy Prime Minister Grant Robertson said.
But Samsudeen appealed, triggering a lengthy process that automatically allowed him to stay in New Zealand until his appeal was heard.
Immigration authorities tried to argue he should remain behind bars, but in July, Samsudeen was set free.

[IsraelTimes] Police say 18-year-old suspect threw blade to the ground as he was searched by officers in the flashpoint West Bank city
Border Police on Monday arrested a Paleostinian in Hebron who allegedly tried to enter the Tomb of the Patriarchs with a knife.
The suspect, a 18-year-old resident of the West Bank city, was stopped by officers as he approached the area around the holy site.
As officers searched the suspect, they spotted him throwing a knife to the ground, according to a police statement.
The suspect was taken for questioning after his arrest.
Hebron, where Paleostinians live in close proximity to settlers who are guarded by Israeli troops, has been the scene of numerous stabbings and attempted stabbings.
The Tomb of the Patriarchs, revered as the final resting place of most of the Biblical patriarchs and matriarchs, is one of the holiest sites in Judaism and is also revered by Moslems as the Ibrahimi Mosque.
[IsraelTimes] Army says it hit sites in Khan Younis in southern Strip, after airborne explosive devices spark three fires near Israeli towns bordering Hamas-run enclave
The Israel Defense Forces carried out a series of retaliatory Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s in southern Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... late Monday night after incendiary balloons from the Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,-run enclave sparked three fires near Israeli towns bordering the Strip.
The military said it hit a Hamas rocket production facility and training camp in Khan Younis. Footage uploaded to social media showed the strikes lighting up the skies. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
Earlier Monday, incendiary balloons launched from the Strip sparked three fires in Israel’s Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council. Firefighters managed to put out the fires before they could cause significant damage.
Gazooks have continued to launch incendiary devices attached to kites or balloons into Israel despite warnings from Jerusalem of zero tolerance for such attacks.
Tensions with Gaza have remained high amid intensified efforts to shore up a ceasefire brokered after May’s war between Israel and Gaza-based terrorists, including a new arrangement for bringing Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... i cash into the Strip to ease poverty there.
The IDF’s Southern Command was preparing on Monday for the possibility that ceasefire talks managed by Cairo could break down, leading to an upsurge in violence and renewed rioting on the border.
Over the weekend, Hamas front man Abdel Latif al-Qanou warned in a statement that, "Our Paleostinian people in the Gaza Strip are determined to extract all their demands and break the siege on the Gaza Strip and no longer accept the gradual easing [of restrictions]."
He added that "our people’s options are open and all tools and means are available to pressure the occupation and oblige it to lift the siege on our people."
Qatar and Egypt have been closely involved in efforts to improve conditions in Gaza in the wake of May’s 11-day war between Israel and Hamas, including the transfer of aid to the needy, greater allowances for goods and building materials to enter the Strip and more.
A plan was recently announced to allow Qatari aid back into Gaza, but many other issues remain unresolved.
The past week saw an increase in protests along the border as so-called "night confusion units" held nightly demonstrations, setting tires alight at the border and lobbing improvised explosives at Israeli troops.
The "night confusion units" do not officially tie themselves to Hamas, though their activities could not take place without the approval of the terror group that rules the Strip.
The riots came at the same time as Israel allowed dozens of truckloads of construction materials into the Strip.
[IsraelTimes] But Hassan Eid, 27, not charged with causing death of Israel Prize-winning space scientist, who died as a result of arson attack on boutique guest house
Prosecutors filed terror charges Sunday against a resident of Acre over the deadly Molotov cocktailing of a hotel in the northern city in May, which had come amid violent mostly peacefulfestivities between Jews and Arabs as Israel fought against Paleostinian terror groups in the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip.
Hassan Eid, 27, was charged at Haifa District Court with arson as an act of terror and rioting with a racist motive.
However, man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them... he was not charged with causing the death of a guest in the hotel who died as a result of the fires in the building.
According to prosecutors, Eid used a rock on May 11 to smash the famed Efendi hotel’s glass door, then poured flammable material inside, and set it alight.
A statement from prosecutors noted other suspects later threw Molotov cocktails into the hotel.
"The actions of the defendant and others led to the conflagration in the hotel’s reception room, which abated after a few minutes. After the fire subsided, others arrived at the hotel with the knowledge that it was under Jewish ownership, and sowed more destruction out of a racist motive," the statement said.
Seven other suspects have been also charged in the case, but none with the death of hotel guest Aby Har Even, 84, who was hospitalized at death's door after suffering from burns and smoke inhalation.
Har Even, a former leader of Israel’s space program and a winner of the prestigious Israel Prize, succumbed to his wounds in the hospital several weeks later.
The seven indicted suspects were accused of entering the hotel and destroying furniture, equipment, dishes, and security cameras. But none of those individuals are believed to have set the fire that killed Har-Even in a different area of the hotel.
Hundreds of indictments have been filed against Jews and Arabs over days of May rioting in which mobs on each side attacked members of the opposite ethnicity, in a rash of violence not seen in decades. The tensions were partially fueled by war with Gaza-based snuffies and violent mostly peaceful pro-Paleostinian protests in Jerusalem.
Acre was a flashpoint of the ethnic tensions and more than a dozen Jewish-owned businesses were vandalized in the city.
Six Palestinian prisoners — four of whom were serving life sentences — escaped from a high-security Israeli prison through an underground tunnel, launching a massive manhunt in the country just ahead of the Jewish new year.https://t.co/XYLHqB1HhY
Six Paleostinian prisoners — four of whom were serving life sentences — beat feet from a high-security Israeli prison through an underground tunnel, launching a massive manhunt in the country just ahead of the Jewish new year.
Five of the six escapees were affiliated with the Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... movement, and one was Zakaria Zubeidi, a prominent figure with the Fatah organization. Israeli officials said the prison break was a big failure of the prison authorities on the highest levels and are fearful of attacks or copycat prison breaks.
On Sunday night around 1:30 a.m. local time the six prisoners escaped through a tunnel that started in a pit under cell number 5 and ended 50 feet away on the other side of the prison walls.
Several years ago a group of Islamic Jihad prisoners tried to escape in the exact same way taking advantage of the fact the prison was built on big concrete posts which left open space under the cells. At the time they were caught before using the tunnel.
An initial investigation found the current escape took advantage of the same weaknesses in the building, some of which were never fully fixed. The prison intelligence had no information about any break out plans.
On Sunday, 24 hours before the escape one of the prisoners, Zakaria Zubeidi — a member of the Fatah organization — asked to switch cells and move to the cell where five Islamic Jihad prisoners were held.
The request was unusual but didn’t raise any suspicions. All of the six prisoners were originally from the city of Jenin in the north of the occupied West Bank — only 10 miles from the prison.
The most infamous runaway is undoubtedly former Fatah commander Zakaria Zubeidi, who oversaw terror attacks against Israelis during the Second Intifada from his stronghold in Jenin. Zubeidi was responsible for numerous acts of terrorism, including a suicide kaboom in the heart of Tel Aviv that killed an Israeli woman.
Zubeidi has claimed his turn to terror came following the deaths of his mother and brother, who he says were shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during street battles in Jenin during the early days of the Intifada. The operation was a response to a wave of Paleostinian suicide kabooms inside Israel; many of the bombers had emerged from Jenin.
Zubeidi was also known for his close ties with some on the radical anti-Zionist Israeli left, who saw him as a potential partner. His relationship with anti-Zionist activist Tali Fahima — who later converted to Islam — was notorious; Fahima went to his Jenin home to act as a human shield to prevent the Israeli army from targeting him.
In 2007, the Shin Bet security service and the Paleostinian Authority reached an amnesty deal for thousands of Paleostinians who had fought against Israel during the wave of violence. Zubeidi was one of them, and founded a so-called "Freedom Theater" in Jenin with a director of both Jewish and Arab Israeli heritage, Juliano Mer-Khamis.
Over a decade later, Israeli forces apprehended Zubeidi, charging that he had resumed his terror activities. The Shin Bet security service later said Zubeidi had confessed to two shooting attacks on buses outside the Beit El settlement in the central West Bank in November 2018 and January 2019 that maimed three people.
When Zubeidi arrived in court in March 2019, his charge sheet was long: two counts of intentionally causing death — the military legal system’s equivalent of murder — as well as multiple counts of attempting to intentionally cause death, membership in a terrorist group, weapons sales, firing guns at people and preparing explosives.
Some of the offenses dated back to the Second Intifada, before the amnesty agreement. But the Shin Bet said that Zubeidi’s alleged participation in renewed shooting attacks nullified the amnesty agreement, opening him up to prosecution for his terrorist activities during the early 2000s as well.
Zubeidi’s trial is ongoing and he has yet to be formally acquitted, convicted, or sentenced.
In 2018 — before his arrest by Israel — Zubeidi completed a master’s degree at Birzeit University. His dissertation, "The Dragon and the Hunter," chronicled "pursuit in Paleostinian experience."
"The dragon outwitted the hunter," rejoiced Fatah official Mounir al-Jaghoub on his Twitter page after Monday’s escape.
‘NOT THE FIRST NOR THE LAST’
The other runaway Paleostinians are members of the Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... terror group, all from the Jenin area.
Eham Kamamji, 35, from Kufr Dan, attacked and murdered 18-year-old Israeli Eliyahu Asheri, from the West Bank settlement of Itamar, in 2006. Kamamji, along with two accomplices, kidnapped and shot Asheri in the head at point-blank range.
Kamamji reportedly confessed to the crimes in court, expressing his pride in the murder.
"The teen I murdered was not a boy. He studied in an Israeli Air Force military college. I will not be the first nor the last, so long as the occupation continues," The Jerusalem Post reported from his 2007 sentencing hearing.
The al-Arida brothers — Mahmoud, 46, and Mohammad, 39 — were arrested in 1996 and 2002 for terror offenses. Both brothers, from Arraba near Jenin, are currently serving life sentences and are avowed members of Islamic Jihad.
Yaqoub Qadiri, 49, was arrested for planning terror attacks against Israelis, as well as for his membership in Islamic Jihad. Under Israeli military law, membership in a terror group on its own is a criminal offense that is punishable by years in prison.
The sixth and final detainee, Islamic Jihad member Munadil Nafayat, 26, is from the West Bank town of Yaabad, near Jenin. Nafayat, unlike his fellow runaways, had not been charged with a crime. Rather, he was held under Israel’s practice of administrative detention, which allows it to imprison suspects without filing charges for security purposes.
Administrative detention is legal under international law, which recognizes its necessity in extreme situations. Nonetheless, human rights ...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you... groups contend that Israel abuses it; the practice is mostly used against Paleostinians suspected of terrorism.
Nafayat’s current stint in Israeli jail began in 2019. But he had been held in administrative detention before, including a four-month stint in 2015, according to Paleostinian media reports.

#Iran moves high-precision missiles into Syria via Quds Force & aims them at Israel, IDF general Tal Kalman tells @tallevram; In #Lebanon, Hezbollah has arsenal of 100 or more precision-guided rockets, military journalist Amos Harel reports.
[NPASYRIA] On Monday, Russian warplanes bombed posts of Syrian Ottoman Turkish-backed armed factions in Idlib, while the government forces bombed villages and towns south of Idlib and Aleppo, northwest Syria.
"The Russian warplanes targeted the towns of Kansafra, al-Fatira and Ehsem in the Zawiya Mountain, in the southern countryside of Idlib, with several Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s," military sources of the opposition told North Press.
"The Russian warplanes targeted Ehsem town, south of Idlib, in conjunction with the passage of a convoy of the Ottoman Turkish forces, which consisted of armored vehicles, through the town amid intense flight of the Russian drones over the convoy," the sources added.
The bombardment affected the agricultural lands connecting among the targeted towns which led to fires and cutting down some trees, according to the same sources.
"The government forces stationed in the city of Kafranbel, intensified their artillery and missiles bombardment on the villages of Kansafra, Ain Larouz, al-Fatira and Benin in the Zawiya Mountain," the sources stated.
