Gunshot? How many of the US dead also suffered Small Arms Fire (SAF), and from where? No word on the DoD, Army, USMC, Navy investigation. All combat casualties (KIA) are investigated, right ?
[France24] At least 17 people were killed in Kabul due to the Taliban’s celebratory Friday night gunfire, news agencies said on Saturday as Pakistan’s powerful intelligence chief made a surprise visit to Afghanistan amid reports of intense fighting between the hardline Islamist group and resistance fighters in the Panjshir Valley.
Afghan medical officers said 17 people were killed and 41 wounded people were admitted to a Kabul hospital due to injuries sustained during the Taliban's celebratory gunfire, Afghanistan's leading private news station, Tolo TV, reported Saturday.
In the eastern province of Nangarhar, at least 14 people were injured in celebratory firing, said Gulzada Sangar, spokesman for an area hospital in the provincial capital of Jalalabad.

[Ynet] Three Taliban sources said the Islamist militia had on Friday seized the Panjshir valley north of Kabul, the last province of Afghanistan holding out against it, although a resistance leader denied it had fallen.
"By the grace of Allah Almighty, we are in control of the entire Afghanistan. The troublemakers have been defeated and Panjshir is now under our command," said one Taliban commander.
It was not immediately possible to confirm the reports, but deafening volleys of celebratory gunfire resounded all over Kabul and Facebook accounts were full of mentions of the fall of Panjshir.

....This made me remember a story I read early last week, which made the suggestion that the Talibs might well have simply called the district admins/commanders directly (they would have known perfectly well how to contact them; and vice versa) and said, more or less:
"Hey, how's it hangin'? We took over last night - didn't you guys get the word? Oh, yeah, I know, those guys in Kabul couldn't get it together to save their goats, y'know? No, no, we won - they're just draggin' it out to look good. Oh yeah, no probs - so look, we'll be to your office about, say, nineish? Good to go, see you then."
If that's even close to true, then it would help explain the even-faster-than-we-thought collapse. Afghans actually don't fight unless they have to - bribery, threats, family ties, and religious connections work a whole lot better and leave the new guys more people to rule/tax.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Army Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said it’s "possible" the United States will seek to coordinate with the Taliban on counterterrorism strikes in Afghanistan against Islamic State militants or others.
Milley did not elaborate, and his comment Wednesday did not appear to suggest immediate plans to work with the Taliban.
U.S. military commanders coordinated daily with Taliban commanders outside the Kabul airport over the past three weeks to facilitate the evacuation of more than 124,000 people. But that was a matter of convenience for both parties and not necessarily a sign that they will pursue, or even want, a regular relationship in the future.
The U.S. military ousted the Taliban from power in the fall of 2001 and fought against them for the 19 years that followed.
The extent and nature of a U.S.-Taliban relationship, now that the war is over, is one of the key issues to be worked out. The U.S. diplomatic presence in Kabul has been moved to Doha, Qatar. President Joe Biden has noted several times recently that the Taliban are avowed enemies of the Islamic State group in Afghanistan, suggesting a shared interest with the United States.

Yes. He can't wait to help the Taliban get their local problems solved so that they can return the favor with Milley's "domestic extremist" problems.

You talk about the pols in Chicago working with the gangs, you ain't seen nothing yet - Mark "here hold my beer" Milley.
[AP] WASHINGTON — U.S. officials are looking into reports that in the frantic evacuation of desperate Afghans from Kabul, older men were admitted together with young girls they claimed as "brides" or otherwise sexually abused.
U.S. officials at intake centers in the United Arab Emirates and in Wisconsin have identified numerous incidents in which Afghan girls have been presented to authorities as the "wives" of much older men. While child marriage is not uncommon in Afghanistan, the U.S. has strict policies against human trafficking that include prosecutions for offenders and sanctions for countries that don’t crack down on it.
One internal document seen by The Associated Press says the State Department has sought "urgent guidance" from other agencies after purported child brides were brought to Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. Another document, described to the AP by officials familiar with it, says Afghan girls at a transit site in Abu Dhabi have alleged they have been raped by older men they were forced to marry in order to escape Afghanistan.
The State Department had no immediate comment on the documents or the veracity of the details in them. Officials say that they take all such allegations seriously but that many of them are anecdotal and difficult to prove, particularly amid the crush of Afghan evacuees at multiple locations in the Middle East, Europe and the United States.

Think of these Afghan men as shock troops for the normalization of pedophilia sought by some of the woke. I expect at least a couple of articles "contextualizing" the practice.

Pretender Biden: "Is it too late to dump Jill and go shopping in Kabul?"
[ToloNews] Clashes between Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... forces and the resistance front are ongoing with both sides claiming to have caused heavy casualties to the opposing side.
The resistance front says the Taliban’s heavy attacks on Panjshir were pushed back and the Taliban forces suffered heavy casualties during the fighting.
Fahim Fetrat, a member of the resistance front, said that the Taliban forces attacked Panjshir from four directions but were unable to enter Panjshir.
"Hundreds of enemy forces have been killed, maimed and arrested by the national resistance front forces. Tens of their armored vehicles have been set on fire and they remain in the area. They have lost several areas in Gulbahar and Jabal Saraj," Fetrat said.
The Taliban, meanwhile, denied their forces had sustained casualties and said they had advanced in Panjshir from several directions.
"The Mujahideen have made advances into Panjshir’s Paryan district from Warsaj (district) in Takhar and Kiran Wa Manjan (district) in Badakhshan and they have met there. The Mujahideen also advanced into Panjshir from the direction of Kapisa. The central areas of Panjshir’s Shotul district are still under the control of the Islamic Emirate forces," said Anaamullah Samangani, a member of the cultural commission of the Taliban.
Videos on social media show heavy fighting ongoing between the two sides.
Meanwhile, ...back at the barn, a little lightbulb figuratively appeared over Bossy's head... Afghan Former President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ...One of the more egregious mistakes of the post 9-11 era... in a statement on Friday urged both sides to stop fighting and to resolve their issues with dialogue.
"I urge both sides to resolve the problem through negotiations so that our suffering nation can enjoy full-fledged peace and prosperity," the statement reads.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said everyone wants the Taliban and other ethnic and political groups to reach an agreement and form an inclusive government.
[KhaamaPress] Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan claims to have captured the Shutul district of Panjshir province but resistance forces have denied the claim.
Acting minister of culture and information and spokesperson of the Taliban ...Arabic for students... , Zabiullah Mujahid said that eleven outposts have also been taken and over 30 resistance forces have been killed.
Meanwhile, ...back at the precinct house, Sergeant Maloney wasn't buying it. It was just too pat. The whole thing smelled phony, kind of like a dead mackeral but without the scales... unconfirmed reports by the Taliban read that the districts of Paryan and Onaba districts of the province have also been taken.
It has been the fourth day since the heavy conflicts erupted in Panjshir province between the resistance forces of the province and the Taliban.
A spokesperson of resistance forces Fahim Dashti in a voice clip denied the capture of Shutul district and claimed to have driven back the Taliban fighters in the district.
Dashti claimed that tens of dead bodies of the Taliban fighters are left on the ground and the latter asked tribal elders of Parwan province to mediate and let them take their dead bodies.
Pictures leaked from the Panjshir province show that the fighters in Panjshir province are using rocket launchers, missiles, and other weapons from the era of the Soviet Union.
The resistance forces also claim to have killed 350 Taliban fighters and maimed 290 more.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Taliban ...Arabic for students... are due to form a government within days despite fighting in Afghanistan’s Panjshir Valley Friday where forces battling the gunnies say they are enduring "heavy" assaults.
The Taliban face the enormous challenge of shifting gears from murderous Moslem group to governing power, days after the United States fully withdrew its troops and ended two decades of war.
But they are still battling to extinguish the last flame of resistance in the Panjshir Valley -- which held out for a decade against the Soviet Union’s occupation and also the Taliban’s first rule from 1996-2001.
Late Friday, celebratory gunfire rang across Kabul as rumors spread that the valley had fallen, but the Taliban made no official claim and a resident told AFP by phone that the reports were false.
Fighters from the National Resistance® Front -- made up of anti-Taliban militia and former Afghan cops -- are understood to have significant weapon stockpiles in the valley, which lies around 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of Kabul.
Earlier Friday pro-Taliban Twitter accounts aired video clips purporting to show the new regime’s fighters had captured tanks and other heavy military equipment inside the valley.
Taliban and resistance tweets suggested the key district of Paryan had been taken and lost again, but that could also not be independently verified.
While the West has adopted a wait-and-see approach to the group, there were some signs of engagement with the new leaders gathering pace.
China confirmed a tweet from a Taliban front man hours earlier, indicating that Beijing will keep its embassy in Kabul open.
"We hope the Taliban will establish an open and inclusive political structure, pursue moderate and stable domestic and foreign policy and make a clean break with all terrorist groups," foreign ministry front man Wang Wenbin said.
The United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... said it had restarted humanitarian flights to parts of the country, linking the Pak capital Islamabad with Mazar-e-Sharif in northern Afghanistan and Kandahar in the south.
The country’s flag carrier Ariana Afghan Airlines resumed domestic flights on Friday, while the United Arab Emirates sent a plane carrying "urgent medical and food aid".
Western Union and Moneygram, meanwhile, said they were restarting money transfers, which many Afghans rely on from relatives abroad to survive, and Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. [NYPOST] An Afghan man who was evacuated from the war-torn country to Germany has been detained after he was flagged during a security screening, America’s top military commander in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... said Thursday.Air Force Gen. Tod Wolters, the head of US European Command, told news hounds during a phone briefing at the Pentagon that the man was "not of a high threat as far as I know." Wolters also declined to say what brought the man to authorities’ attention, saying the information was "protected."
"That individual is currently in the appropriate custody of U.S. interagency officials, and Germany has been very, very cooperative, and we are still working his background investigation," he said.
Wolters did not say when the man was detained, but noted that Ramstein began processing Afghan evacuees on Aug. 20. The general added that 58 Afghans were in need of further screening, but "I anticipate that all 58 will probably clear."
Wolters explained the initial screening of evacuees takes place soon after they arrive at the base and involves a "biometric and biographic screening so that through DOD [Defense Department] channels, through CBP [Customs and Border Protection] channels, and through FBI ...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time... channels, we have comprehensively scrutinized their background." As the Afghans prepare to depart, he added, "they’ll be screened one more time to make sure that from a biometric and biographical standpoint, cleared through DOD, CBP and FBI, that they continue to remain in the green."

[IsraelTimes] More than 30 Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, children are stuck in Afghanistan after they traveled to the country to see their relatives weeks before the Taliban ...Arabic for students... seized power and were unable to get out before US forces left, according to school districts where the kids are enrolled.
Officials with three school districts — one in the San Diego area and two in Sacramento — say they have been in contact with the families who fear they have been forgotten by the US government. The officials say that some of the children were born in the United States and are US citizens.
Nearly all of the children returned to Afghanistan with one or both parents in the spring or early summer to visit relatives. The families traveled on their own to the country and were not part of any organized trips.
Many of the families arrived in the US years ago after obtaining special immigrant visas granted to Afghans who had worked for the US government or US military over the past two decades.
Some of the families told school district officials that they had made attempts to get on planes at the airport in Kabul but were unable get through Taliban checkpoints or through the throngs of Afghans surrounding the airport over the past two weeks. The US ended its evacuation efforts and withdrew its forces on Monday.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Fighting broke out in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... early on Friday between rival armed forces, witnesses said, the heaviest festivities in the Libyan capital since the conflict between eastern and western factions paused a year ago.
A resident of the Salah al-Din district in southern Tripoli said shooting began at about 2:30 am and continued through the morning with medium and light weapons. There was no immediate report of casualties.
Conflict in Tripoli between the gangs who vie to control both territory and state institutions would further undermine the prospect of December elections as part of a plan to end a decade of chaos, violence and division.
Despite a ceasefire and progress earlier this year towards a political solution to Libya’s crisis, there has been no movement towards integrating its myriad gangs into a unified national military.
Libya is a major oil producer and though it has been able to maintain output over the past decade, disputes have sometimes shut down exports, including for months last year.
The new fighting pitted the 444 Brigade against the Stabilization Support Force, two of the main forces in Tripoli, a witness said.
It follows major festivities last month in the city of Zawiya, west of Tripoli, and smaller incidents of friction or festivities inside the capital including a shootout this week at a state institution.
In eastern Libya, controlled by Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all. Actually, he is, but slowly... ’s Libyan National Army (LNA), there have also been shootings and other incidents of violence in recent months.
Libya has had little peace since the 2011 NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... -backed uprising that overthrew longtime ruler Muammar al-Qadaffy, and it divided in 2014 between warring eastern and western factions.
However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... they agreed a ceasefire last year and a new unity government that both sides backed was installed in March to prepare for national elections in December, moves seen as the best chance for peace in years.
The Tripoli-based Government of National Unity (GNU) has however struggled to unify state institutions or prepare for elections, with the eastern-based parliament rejecting its budget and failing to agree a constitutional basis for a vote.
Wolfram Lacher, of the German thinktank SWP, said that although there was the possibility of further escalation, a mediated solution was likely to resolve the fighting in the short term.
However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... "similar festivities are bound to recur in Tripoli and elsewhere", he added.

He also used Bitcoin to receive and transfer thousands of pounds, paying smugglers to liberate IS supporters from detention camps in Syria.
Chaudhary was found guilty of seven offences under the Terrorism Act and is believed to be one of the first Brits to be convicted of being a member of IS.
A court heard he was a member of the terror group since 2016.
Following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court he was convicted of belonging to a proscribed organization, dissemination of terrorist publications and entering into a terrorist funding arrangement.

[IsraelTimes] Metropolitan Police say 28-year-old man held in custody on suspicion of carrying out 5 ‘unprovoked assaults on Jewish people’ over last month
London Metropolitan Police on Thursday arrested a man suspected of carrying out five “unprovoked assaults on Jewish people” over the past month in the heavily Jewish neighborhood of Stamford Hill.
The 28-year-old man was being held in custody on suspicion of “racially aggravated assaults,” the force said in a Thursday statement.
Police had been searching for the suspect since he was filmed two weeks ago assaulting a Jewish man and a child on the street in separate incidents on the same day.
In those attacks, police said the suspect struck a 64-year-old victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground and suffer facial injuries and a broken foot, and, separately, punched a 14-year-old boy in the face, without causing lasting injuries.
Security footage of the incidents showed a tall man dressed in traditional Muslim garb.
In a separate incident on August 18, the suspect struck a 30-year-old man on the head with a bottle, police said. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
Additionally, officers have also been informed of a fourth and fifth victim who have yet to contact police, the statement said, adding that “enquiries to speak to them were ongoing.”
Local media has reported another incident suspected to have been carried out by the same man, on August 12, when a 72-year-old man was slapped and had his kippah knocked off his head.
The assaults are part of a major increase in the number of antisemitic incidents recorded in the United Kingdom this year by the Community Security Trust watch-group.
In the first half of 2021, CST recorded the highest-ever number of antisemitic incidents in any six month period since it began monitoring the issue in the 1980s. The tally for January-June in 2021 was 1,308 incidents, compared to 875 in the corresponding period the previous year. The total for 2020 was 1,668 incidents.
The spike in incidents is partially connected to the exchange of fire between Hamas and Israel in May, CST said. More than 600 of the 1,308 incidents recorded in the first half of 2021 occurred in May.

Fears are growing that the Taliban will use official files left behind during the US's turbulent withdrawal to track down and take revenge on Western allies

And it's not that rig crew and oilfield people are violent by nature, but they are a group that stands on their own feet and is proud of their hard work.

[SHAFAQ] On Friday, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... Attacked the Makhmur camp in Nineveh Governorate.
A security source told Shafaq News Agency that a drone targeted a PKK security point near the Camp.
He did not give further details.
It is worth noting that last May, The Ottoman Turkish aircraft had raided the camp, saying it targeted PKK fighters.
The Makhmur refugee camp, founded in 1998, is located in the , Iraq.
About 12,000 Kurdish refugees, who fled the civil war between Kurds and the Ottoman Turkish state in the 1990s, live in this refugee camp.
Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important... threatened that Turkey would "cleanse the Makhmur camp" which it says shelters PKK fighters.
“At around 8:20 am, today [Friday] Turkish airplanes hit an empty house in Makhmour camp,” the source, who preferred to stay anonymous, said. No casualties were reported, they added.
Media affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Roj News also reported the attack saying the attack shattered the windows of some houses and damaged the houses of some civilians.
Ankara believes the camp has close ties with the PKK, an armed Kurdish group that is on Turkey’s terror list. The PKK, which fights for greater rights for Kurds in Turkey, has its headquarters in the Kurdistan Region’s Qandil mountains.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told state-owned TRT last month that their next target after Qandil is Makhmour. "Makhmour is almost the incubation nest of Qandil. This brood nest is flourishing in the city centre. If we do not go after this, this brood nest will continue to produce,” he said. "We care about Makhmour as much as Qandil."

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] A Paleostinian man died Thursday and at least 15 more were maimed in night festivities with the Israeli army near the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip border, the local health ministry said, AFP reported.
The Times of Israel report yesterday only mentioned five injured, oddly enough. Stubbed toes and tear gas all around?
The 26-year-old man died of bullet injuries in the abdomen, it said.
That’s Ahmed Mustafa Salah, sometimes referred to as Ahmad Saleh, about whom nothing more is reported.
One of the maimed was in a serious condition.
Several factions in Gaza had called for demonstrations to protest in particular against Israel's almost 15-year-long blockade of the coastal enclave.
Earlier this week, Barel Hadaria Shmueli, an Israeli special forces sniper shot during festivities with Paleostinians on August 21, died of his injuries.
The August 21 violence left around 40 people maimed, according to Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",, Gaza's rulers, including a 12-year-old Paleostinian boy and a 32-year-old man.
It was a return to the marches of 2018, when Gazooks began a protest movement demanding an end to Israel's blockade and the right of Paleostinians to return to lands they fled or were expelled from when the Jewish state was founded.
Hamas and Israel fought a devastating 11-day conflict in May, the worst between the two sides in years, which ended with an informal truce.
But incendiary balloons have continued to be launched from the Paleostinian territory towards Israel in the months since, with Israel blaming Hamas and often retaliating with air strikes.
Israel on Wednesday said it would ease Gaza restrictions despite unrest, expanding Gaza's fishing zone, increasing its water supply and allowing more Paleostinian traders and goods to enter the Jewish state.

[Jpost] Egypt has destroyed more than 3,000 tunnels along its border with the Gaza Strip in the past six years.
Three Palestinians died on Thursday as the Egyptian military pumped toxic gas into a smuggling tunnel, Palestinian media reported.
The tunnel stretches from the Gaza Strip to the Sinai peninsula.
In 2019, two Palestinians died and several others wounded after Egyptian troops pumped toxic fumes into a smuggling tunnel stretching into the Sinai Peninsula from the Gaza Strip. In February 2017, three Palestinians were killed in a tunnel between Gaza and Sinai in similar circumstances.
“In 2015, the [Egyptian] government took a decision to establish a buffer zone along the border [with the Gaza Strip]. These tunnels were used to threaten Egypt’s national security, including the infiltration of terrorists, smuggling of weapons, ammunition, goods, narcotic drugs and vehicles. We established the buffer zone in stages because residents had to be relocated. They have received compensation," he said in an interview given to Egyptian news channel Extra News in 2020.
The Egyptian security forces were continuing their “heroic actions to defeat terrorists” in the Sinai Peninsula, he said, adding that 126 terrorists were killed during the recent military operation there.

[IsraelTimes] The Israeli Air Force struck and destroyed a Syrian missile battery after it launched a missile that went kaboom! near central Israel early Friday morning, according to Hebrew media reports Friday evening on Channel 12 and Army Radio.
The Syrian air defense missile flew over Israeli skies before exploding over the Mediterranean Sea, the Israel Defense Forces said. Missile fragments were later found in the Tel Aviv area. Incoming rocket warning sirens were not sounded, in keeping with the military’s policy of not triggering alarms for projectiles headed toward unpopulated areas.
The Syrian military fired the missile in response to what Syrian state media said were Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s near Damascus. Israeli officials believe the missile was not intentionally fired at Israeli territory.
According to Channel 12, those Israeli strikes apparently targeted an advanced weapons facility, possibly a Hezbollah site for the production of precision-guided missiles. The report did not cite any sources.
There were no reports of injuries or damage in Israel as a result of the fallen missile fragments.
