[Garowe] Over 130 al-Shabaab ...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... bully boyz have been killed in Somalia for the last three weeks, Chief of Defense Forces Gen Odowa Yusuf Rageh has confirmed, adding the troops will continue eliminating the bully boyz from their various hideouts in the country.
Most of those killed were caught up by the Somali National Army [SNA] in Middle and Lower Shabelle, where they have huge command, he noted. Security forces have intensified operations in these particular regions and have managed to liberate several villages.
According to Gen Odowaa, the offensive will be intensified in all al-Shabaab's hideouts in the region near Mogadishu, Somalia's capital. The bully boyz have been caving in to the city in recent weeks, often executing small to large scale attacks, he said.
The operation mainly targeted Middle Shabelle in central Somalia and has been largely hailed as "successful" by several SNA commanders who participated in the exercise. It's not the first time the military is targeting al-Shabaab within Central Somalia.
During the operations, state media said, dozens of al-Shabaab bomb experts including imported muscle were killed by security forces. Most of those who died were cornered in Ala-Futow and Qoryoley in Lower Shabelle, another notorious al-Shabaab hideout.
The experts were cornered in one of the houses where they were preparing explosives for the al-Shabaab fighters, state media noted, adding that some of the explosives went off. The number of those killed in that particular incident is yet to be revealed but security forces say at least 60 people died.
"Many members of al-Shabaab bomb experts including foreigners have died in Ala-Futow village under Qoryoley district in Lower Shabelle. region after a house where kabooms were being prepared by the bully boyz went kaboom! on Monday," read a tweet by SONNA.
The progress comes months before the exit of the Africa Union Mission Forces who are set to leave upon the implementation of the Somali Transition Plan [STP] late this year. The foreign troops are training SNA troops to take over security responsibilities in the country.
"Somali National Army [SNA] is conducting offensive security operations to flush out a terrorist group of al-Shabaab in the Middle Shebelle region for the third week. More than 100 bad boyz were potted in the current operations," state media added.
General Odowaa has been leading the operation contrary to the protocols of the forces. The youthful general is credited for helping flush out al-Shabaab from different parts of the country under his leadership.
But unfortunately, Major Mohammed Abdiwahid, the Commander of the 6th battalion of Somalia’s special forces [Gorgor] was killed in a battle between SNA and the terrorist group of al-Shabaab at Jalable village in the Middle Shabelle region on Thursday, last week.
The commander was part of the officers leading ongoing security operations against bully boyz in the Middle Shabelle region. The hero who has paid the ultimate price for his country’s stability has been in military service for more than 10 years.
Somalia’s Prime Minister, Mohammed Rooble extended his heavy-hearted condolences to the family, Somali army, and all Somali people on the death of Major Mohammed Abdiwahid. This was one of the major casualties in the crackdown against al-Shabaab.
Al-Shabaab still poses danger across Somalia and Kenya, with the United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... Security Council [UNSC] designating the group as terrorists. Britannia, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... , and the US have also been training the Somali Army, which was greatly weakened after the ouster of military dictator Siad Barre.
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] La Belle France has suspended aid and military cooperation in the Central African Republic because of what it says is the government’s failure to stop "massive disinformation campaigns" against La Belle France that have targeted its officials, the armed forces ministry said.La Belle France has cut 10 million euros ($12.18 million) in budget support for its former colony and stopped direct military cooperation, the ministry said on Tuesday in an email.
"A number of commitments made by the Central African authorities vis-à-vis La Belle France have not been kept," the ministry said, including halting the online campaigns that it says have sought to undermine French influence.
La Belle France has nearly 300 soldiers in the country, including those working for a U.N. peacekeeping mission and a European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... training deployment. The international missions will remain unaffected, but soldiers working directly for the French military will no longer cooperate with the Central African Republic’s military, the ministry said.
La Belle France has a history of military interventions in its former colony, including during a civil war from 2013-2016 and amid election-related fighting in January.
But a power tussle with Russia over influence in Bangui after Moscow sent hundreds of military instructors to help arm and train government troops to fight rebel groups, has undermined French influence in the gold- and diamond-rich country of 4.7 million.
Before the December election, Facebook said that rival French and Russian disinformation campaigns sought to deceive and influence Internet users, and it suspended almost 500 accounts.
One recent campaign falsely stated that La Belle France was planning the move its embassy to Cameroon ...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there... ’s capital Yaounde, said Jean-Marc Grosgurin, French Ambassador to the Central African Republic, though he offered the possibility of reconciliation.
"If there are positive and strong signals that are taken, things can be reassessed very quickly," he said.

[SHAFAQ] Anas al-Alwani, director of the Anbar Retirement department, revealed that it had thwarted an attempt to rob the allocations of the families of the deaders and maimed in the governorate.
Al-Alwani told Shafaq News Agency that he received information about two auditors who visited the department several times lately, trying to falsify transactions to steal these families' financial allocations.
He added that a team was formed to investigate the matter, accompanied by the National Security Agency in al-Anbar, noting that the two forgers were arrested.
"We will not tolerate any forger who tries to steal the rights of those affected by the war against ISIS," al-Alawani said, pledging to bring the forgers to justice, "even if they were an employee working in the department I run."

[SHAFAQ] A security source revealed to Shafaq News Agency that the rockets that targeted the Balad airbase today were launched from Khalis district in Diyala Governorate, near the Tigris River’s banks.
The source pointed out that five rockets targeted the base, noting that some landed near the F16 aircraft hangar.
Balad Air Base, which hosts U.S forces, had been subjected to a rocket attack on Wednesday evening.
The Security Media Cell said in a statement that the base was targeted by three rockets, noting that no causalities were recorded.
Balad airbase is one of the bases from which the Global Coalition forces withdrew, previously hosted a small unit of the U.S. Air Force. Currently, it hosts the Iraqi armed forces and U.S. Sallyport contractors, which are tasked with maintaining Iraqi F-16s.
[Rudaw] A Peshmerga was killed by a suspected sniper in Zakho district on Tuesday morning while on a joint mission with border guards to hold a strategic point in the area near the Ottoman Turkish border where The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... is carrying out operations against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), a commander told Rudaw.
"A group of border guards with the support of Peshmerga forces were going forward to control a strategic point at Darkar sub-district when two shots were fired. As a result a Peshmerga was martyred," Brig. Gen. Dler Zebari, a commander of Iraqi border guards, told Rudaw, adding that the source of the shots is unknown.
Zebari identified the Peshmerga who was killed as Razwan Mohammed from Zakho.
"There were only two shots fired. It seems it was a sniper who unfortunately martyred a Peshmerga," Zebari added.
The Ministry of Peshmerga condemned the act and blamed it on the PKK in a Facebook statement later on Tuesday. "The PKK forces must understand that with these actions nothing will be achieved and that our people will pay a big price."
They called on the Iraqi government to intervene and show their "active and effective role in stopping" the violations at the border areas of the Region.
[RUDAW.NET] A Kurdish kolbar was shot and injured by Iraqi border guards early Tuesday morning, according to security sources. Border guards have recently stepped up security along the porous, mountainous frontier.
A group of kolbars from Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. At around 2:30 am, Iraqi border guards opened fire on the group, shooting one man in the buttocks.
"He bled a lot. We took pity on him, because we thought that if he was taken back to Iran, across the border, there was a chance that he could die," a well-informed source told Rudaw English.
Another police source in Halabja also confirmed the incident, saying: "I know that someone from Rojhelat was maimed today, but I don't have any more details." Rojhelat is what Kurds call Kurdish areas of Iran.
The man, in his early 20s, was given first aid treatment in Byara and then sent to Shar Hospital in Sulaimani.
Rudaw English contacted the commander of Sulaimani's border guards, but they did not immediately respond.
Kolbars are semi-legal porters who transport untaxed goods across the Kurdistan Region-Iran border. Many are pushed into the profession because of poverty in the Kurdish areas of Iran.
The job is a dangerous one. They carry heavy loads on their backs, over treacherous mountain paths during all weather and are frequently shot at by Iranian border guards. At least 40 were killed by Iranian border guards in 2020, according to Amnesia Amnesty International.
They are now facing a new risk on the Kurdistan Region side of the border, where officials are cracking down on smuggling. In January, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani ordered the Interior and Peshmerga ministries to form a joint force to prevent smuggling at official and unofficial border points.

[JPost] - Two members of the Palestinian Authority's military intelligence and one Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist were shot and killed by Israeli security forces on Wednesday night in Jenin, according to Palestinian reports.
The two military intelligence members, Adham Yasser Eleiwi and Tayseer Ayasa, were killed in a firefight with Israeli security forces after the Israeli forces entered the city to arrest suspects. Muhammad Samer Al-Bazour, another member of the PA intelligence services, was reportedly critically wounded in the firefight as well. If you're a Nation, then attacks on citizens of another country launched from your territory mean war. Of course, "Palestinians" are not a Nation but an alliance of terror organizations. And "international community" sponsored "Peace Process" is nothing but another attempt to solve the "Jewish Problem".
The Israeli forces reportedly entered Jenin to arrest Jamil al-Amouri and Wissam Abu Zaid, members of PIJ's Al-Quds Brigades. The two were reportedly detained and al-Amouri has reportedly died due to injuries sustained in the firefight.
[IsraelTimes] Police and Shin Bet say suspects are Arab residents of city who mistakenly attacked Arab home during surge of violence in Israel’s ethnically mixed cities.
The Israel Police and Shin Bet security service revealed Wednesday that they have arrested three suspects behind several firekabooms in Jaffa, including one that left a 12-year-old Arab boy seriously injured. It said the suspects were arrested "in recent weeks."
In a joint statement, the Shin Bet and police called the May 14 incident a "terror attack." Muhammad Gintazi was seriously maimed in the Molotov cocktailing, which also lightly injured his 10-year-old sister. The attack came during a spate of ethnic violence in mixed Jewish-Arab cities and elsewhere across Israel last month.
The suspects are Arab residents of Jaffa and prosecutors intend to file "harsh indictments" against them in coming weeks, the statement said.
"In the incident, a number of Molotov cocktails were thrown toward several Jewish homes, and one was thrown toward the home of an Arab family, the Gintazi family," the statement said. It accused the assailants of planning on attacking Jewish homes in Jaffa’s Ajami neighborhood "out of a nationalist motive of Dire Revenge in light of the disturbances in Lod and the violent mostly peaceful incidents on the Temple Mount."
The statement also said the three fled after "understanding their mistake" in accidentally targeting an Arab home, even though they had planned to attack additional Jewish homes.
They will also face weapons charges after police discovered illegal arms that were stashed around the neighborhood.
Muhammad Gintazi arrived at Sheba Medical Center with 12% of his body covered by burns and suffering from smoke inhalation, and he had to be mechanically ventilated and sedated. However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... doctors have since said he is recovering well.
The attacks came as violence spread across Israel’s mixed Jewish-Arab cities following festivities between Jerusalem police and Paleostinian rioters in and near the al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount — Judaism’s holiest site and Islam’s third-holiest — and the planned eviction of Paleostinians from homes in an East Jerusalem neighborhood.
The violence also sparked an intense 11-day battle between Israel and terror groups in Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... after Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, fired rockets at Jerusalem.
In Lod, two residents were killed: Musa Hassuna, 32, by a suspected Jewish gunman, and Yigal Yehoshua, 56, by a suspected group of Arab attackers. No charges have been filed in either case, and police say investigations are ongoing.
[IsraelTimes] Authorities believe blazes were deliberately set — likely as nationalistic attacks by West Bank Paleostinians; 2,650 dunams scorched; dozens evacuated
Fire authorities increasingly believe several large wildfires that broke out on the outskirts of Jerusalem and in the West Bank were deliberate acts of arson, likely set by Paleostinians, Hebrew media reported on Wednesday night.
Blazes that broke out in forested areas west of Jerusalem during the afternoon prompted the Israel Fire and Rescue Services to evacuate dozens of residents in the area.
Later in the afternoon, several more fires were ignited in the northern West Bank, including large blazes near the settlements of Ariel and Shavei Shomron.
By the evening, the fires were brought under control, although firefighting units were to remain on the ground throughout the night in case the flames restarted, Channel 13 reported.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage to property in the fires. An initial estimate put the area of scorched forest at 2,650 dunams (655 acres).
Investigators were gathering footage from security cameras to learn more about the cause.
Though officials were not giving a verdict, deliberate arson is being considered because the area where the fires broke out is close to Israel’s security barrier with the West Bank, the Kan public broadcaster reported.
Last month, when violent mostly peaceful Paleostinian rioting in East Jerusalem spread to mixed Jewish-Arab cities in Israel, several fires were started in the same area by West Bank Paleostinians who threw Molotov cocktails over the barrier, the station said.
"We still haven’t come to a conclusion about the cause of the fire," Jerusalem Fire and Rescue Services District Commander Nissim Twito told Channel 13. "We are in the middle of the investigation."
"Based on the history of the area and the tension, it could be that the reason is nationalistic. At the moment, we don’t have an indication to say for certain that is the reason," he said.
"At the moment I don’t know if this was arson. There is no doubt that this incident is a little complicated and strange" in that all the fires happened at the same time, Fire and Rescue Commissioner Dedi Simchi told Channel 12 News.
Earlier, Simchi said he was sure that the fires were manmade, but could not say if it was deliberate or negligence.
According to the fire services, the Jerusalem-area fire broke out on Mount Haruah in the Jerusalem hills, near the Neve Ilan moshav.
Later in the afternoon, 29 teams of firefighters and 10 planes joined the effort to extinguish the massive blaze. Firefighting forces from other areas of Israel were also called in to assist in tackling the flames.
The fire services later ordered the evacuation of all residents of Kibbutz Ma’ale Hahamisha in the Judean hills. A second blaze reportedly broke out on the nearby Mount Eitan.
Residents were later able to return to their homes.
Roads and highways in the area were also briefly shut, including a portion of Route 1, the main highway connecting Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
At 2 p.m., the Israel Railways announced that it was halting trains on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv line due to the fire. The trains resumed several hours later.
The ongoing corruption trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem was halted shortly before 3 p.m. due to the blaze.
Large teams of firefighters and volunteers also worked frantically to put out the fires in the West Bank.
[IsraelTimes] Israeli forces operating out of civilian car said to return fire at Paleostinian officers during arrest op outside PA Military Intel HQ in Jenin.

[Rudaw] One Russian soldier died and three others were maimed on Wednesday after their military vehicle hit a roadside kaboom in northwestern Hasaka province in northern Syria, two monitors have reported.
The explosion took place near al-Asadiyah village in Ottoman Turkish-occupied territory, south of Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain) town, which was invaded by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... in October 2019, according to the Rojava Information Center (RIC), a local monitor in northeast Syria. As part of a deal with Ankara, Russian troops have been patrolling some of these areas since late 2019.
"It is so far unclear what the soldiers were doing this far inside Ottoman Turkish-occupied territory," the RIC added.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) also reported the earth-shattering kaboom, saying it happened after the Russian military vehicle passed the village, which is located at a crossroads between areas ruled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, Ottoman Turkish-backed proxies, and the Syrian regime.
The dear departeddeparted this vale of tears in al-Darbasiyah (Dirbesiye) in Hasaka, it added.
"SOHR activists have documented the hovering of Russian helicopters in the areas to transfer the remaining three maimed soldiers to hospitals," said the UK-based group.
The Russian defense ministry later confirmed the earth-shattering kaboom, saying their vehicle hit "an unidentified bomb."
"As a result of the earth-shattering kaboom, one Russian serviceman died from his injuries. Three Russian servicemen who followed him in the car were taken to a hospital, where the necessary medical assistance was provided," it said.
Russia — the main backer of Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Scourge of Qusayr... - has acted as guarantor of the indirect ceasefire between Turkey and the SDF since 2019. The US has also played a similar role. Both forces have conducted joint patrols with Ottoman Turkish forces on the border since the Ottoman Turkish invasion.
