Mr. Johns was billed as "Six-foot-three and Oh! So Different" during his vaudeville days, and he was world-renowned for his vitality, his nasal voice and his banjo. Almost to the end, he retained a strong voice, a firm handshake and a quick sense of humor.

Rasikh said that some members of the government forces were captured by the Taliban after their attack on the district.
He said that the district remained under siege by the Taliban for the last two years.
Rasikh said that at least seven security force members were killed in the Taliban attack on the district, adding that some soldiers are missing.
He reiterated that "no action was taken by the central government to help the district" during heavy fighting in the last three days.
Taliban has claimed that they have captured Jalrez district.
Jalrez is located in the west of Maidan Wardak province. It lies 62 kilometers southwest of Kabul.
The Ministry of Defense in a statement said an operation has started by Afghan forces to clear Jalrez district of Death Eaters.

"Claims of Dawlat Shah district falling are false. The security forces are present there," said Rohaullah Ahamdzai, a front man for the Ministry of Defense.
In the meantime, sources said that the local government and Taliban have extended the three days Eid ceasefire for another month in Alingar district of Laghman.
"They (Taliban) have come from Alingar district to Dawlat Shah for war. Not only from Alingar but also from neighboring provinces such as Kunar, Nuristan and Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. National Directorate of Security in a statement said that five "terrorists" including Khaliq Kandahari, Safiullah, and Omid were killed in special operations that targeted ISIS centers in the capital, specifically in Bagrami district, PD17, and PD18 of Kabul city.

“The bandits also attacked Rugar Delu, a settlement on the fringes of the town and rustled about 30 cows belonging to one Delu Bafilata, a herder. Delu sustained gunshot injuries to the chest and is receiving treatment in hospital.
“In another reported incident, bandits invaded Ungwan Murtala in Yakawada, Giwa LGA and shot one Inusa Ibrahim dead. In Godogodo village of Jema’a LGA, bandits attempted to attack a police outpost but were effectively repelled by the personnel. However, one Ayuba Madugu was killed by the gunmen.”
The commissioner added that the bandits’ attack on the Godogodo village almost snowballed into an ethno-religious crisis but was averted by the security operatives. He added that Governor Nasir El-Rufai commiserated with the families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, gunmen suspected to be herdsmen have killed two people in Rikwe-Rishe, Kpatenvie village of Kpachudu community, Bassa LGA of Plateau State.
The victims, identified as Mr Shedrack Zehwie, 20; and Mrs Ladi Geoffrey, 25, were said to be at home when the gunmen stormed their compound around 9pm on Thursday and attacked them, killing them.
The National President of the Irigwe Development Association, Ezekiel Bini, who confirmed the killings to Saturday PUNCH in Jos on Friday said, “The two victims were farmers.
“The woman was at home while the man who came to visit a relative was just relaxing in the compound when the gunmen appeared suddenly and shot them dead on Thursday night. It’s really sad.”
The General Secretary of IDA, Dickson Auta, who spoke at the burial of the deceased at Rikwe-Rishe village on Friday, lamented the killing of the two Irigwe youths and called for the immediate stop to open grazing of cattle in Irigwe land.
According to him, apart from the destruction of farmlands and crops, and illegal grazing, the Fulani herdsmen have been lying in ambush and killing the Irigwe people.
The paramount ruler of Rigwe Nation, the Brra Nggwe Rigwe, Rev Ronku Aka in a remark, also frowned on the continuous violence in his domain.
While sympathising with the people, he emphasised that the land bequeathed to the Rigwe people by their forefathers could not be forcefully grabbed, irrespective of attacks and other strategies deployed against them.

Frank, it's 8 to 12 people now. You have no idea how quickly like wildfire the racism is spreading among black and brown people.
It's like the genetic memory of tribalism only needed to be lit by racist misreporting of the George Floyd police killing (he'd be just as dead if he were white but that's not how it was spun).
It took nothing at all to set off anti-white racism in black and brown people who are all too ready to accept grievance culture narrative against whites.

Also funding think tanks and lobbyists, and pressure groups.

Hamas got exactly the ceasefire it wanted, which means that the IDF stopped attacking, and various supporters started sending in supplies and money.
