[Washington Examiner] House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy renewed his goal to get Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell removed from the House Intelligence Committee.
McCarthy, who announced his latest plan Friday, said he'll file a resolution next week, stating that Swalwell "should not be on the panel in charge of guarding our nation's secrets."
The impetus behind McCarthy's effort is the 2011-2015 relationship between Swalwell and Christine Fang, a Chinese national believed to be working with China’s Ministry of State Security. Their connection, which Swalwell has refused to describe in detail, predated his time in Congress, and he has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
"Pelosi just reappointed Eric Swalwell to the Intelligence Committee. Based on the briefing she and I received together, Swalwell should not be on the panel in charge of guarding our nation's secrets," McCarthy tweeted. "Next week, I will offer a resolution to remove him from the Intel Committee."
This is the same impulse that propelled the Salem Witch Trials and the other episodes of terror: greedy opportunistic jackals spotting a chance to grab power and loot.
Neighbors coveting land in Salem MA. Germans coveting their Jewish neighbors' wealth. Soviet snitches seeking to elbow a rival out of the way, or grab a neighbor's fancier or better-lighted apartment.
Now we have ambitious little shrewish backbencher pols seeking to clamber up the hierarchy by knocking down the man who was expected at one point to run against and defeat Trump.
At the NYTimes it was "jackals" pursuing, cornering and destroying one of their own-- no doubt in order to elbow a rival out of the way.
MeToo, BLM, Wokery: it's all a racket. A cover for simple greed envy and extortion.

Perhaps he could accept his fate as did the German spy who came to pick up Clint Eastwood in 'Where Eagles Dare' closing scenes. He knows he's kaput and jumps out of the plane at altitude!
[NYPOST] Thirty-five Senate Democrats have introduced legislation to ban "assault weapons" including popular AR-15-style semi-automatic rifles, citing concern about "domestic terrorism" following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Lead sponsor Sen. Dianne Feinstein ...Dem Senator-for-Life from Caliphornica. She has been a politician since about the time she was weaned. Feinstein was the author of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and tried it a second time in 2012. Feinstein has chaired the Select Committee on Intelligence since 2009. At age 80, Feinstein is the oldest currently serving United States Senator.... (D-Calif.) enlisted a majority of her fellow wardheelers as co-sponsors of the "Assault Weapons Ban of 2021."
"To be clear, this bill saves lives. When it was in place from 1994-2004, gun massacres declined by 37 percent compared with the decade before. After the ban expired, the number of massacres rose by 183 percent," Feinstein said in a statement.
"We’re now seeing a rise in domestic terrorism, and military-style assault weapons are increasingly becoming the guns of choice for these dangerous groups."
Democrats frequently use the term "domestic terrorism" to refer to the actions of groups associated with a mob of President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... supporters who fought police to break into the Capitol and disrupt certification of President Biden’s election victory.

ban "assault weapons" including popular AR-15-style semi-automatic rifles, citing concern about "domestic terrorism" following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
?
Because of all those AR-15 toting 'terrorists' storming and shooting their way into the Capitol on 1/6, filling the halls with blood?
The gunslingers who pistol-whipped Ocasio-Cortez?
The Air Force veteran who shot and killed a Capitol Hill officer at point-blank range?
F--- you liars.
You have zero credibility, zero legitimacy, zero authority over us.
No one threatened you. But you are now pushing us -- the MAJORITY, the people who still love this country and cherish its laws and its Constitution -- you are pushing the normal, quiet, law-abiding majority to the wall.
Another Lexington & Concord is coming. Is that what you power-mad, ridiculous contemptible lunatics really want? Is it?

35, hmmm? That's not enough for a majority, much less than needed to bust a filibuster

Another example of democrats creating a problem 'only more government can fix.'
"To be clear, this bill saves lives. When it was in place from 1994-2004, gun massacres declined by 37 percent compared with the decade before. After the ban expired, the number of massacres rose by 183 percent," Feinstein said in a statement.
I've seen rabbits pulled out of hats more believable than this pitch phrase.
[NYPOST] Critics are blasting President Biden for taking credit for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout — and failing to thank former President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... for initiating Operation Warp Speed, which produced the jab within one year.
In his first prime-time address Thursday night, Biden praised his administration for taking a "war footing" when it comes to combating the virus, assuring that every American will be eligible for a vaccine starting May 1.
Pundits like Fox News host Sean Hannity took aim at Biden for trying "to take credit for everything that Donald Trump did on COVID-19," noting that three vaccines were already in development by the time Biden took office.
"There were already a million vaccines being administered into people’s arms every single day when Biden was sworn in, 36 million doses had already been distributed," Hannity said.
He continued, "Joe, you want unity? Why don’t you just thank Donald Trump? You want us all to get along, you say. No Trump, no vaccine, Joe. Stop trying to take credit for something, frankly, you had nothing to do with. Nothing."

Joey got 52% of the vote. Yeah, some "mandate" there, Joey. This senile bozo is well on his way to pissing off lots and lots of people.
OT - Kamala said in the Dem debates [sic] Joey's racist, right?
[NYPOST] In keeping with his obstinate posture of denial and deflection, Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo has come up with a new excuse for his woes: cancel culture.
Yes, Albany’s tyrant, accused now by seven women of sexual harassment, the target of a federal investigation into underreporting COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes, asked to resign by the majority of New York house Democrats and the National Organization for Women, abandoned by the New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... , New York magazine and other house organs of the left-leaning media, subject of a just-opened police investigation in Albany — yes, Andrew Cuomo is simply a victim of the woke mob (e.g. crazy, hysterical ladies).
"People know the difference between playing to politics, bowing to cancel culture and the truth," Cuomo said Friday afternoon.
This is as laughable as his brother Chris’s claim last week that to cover his brother’s scandals would be journalistically unethical — despite Chris hosting Andrew on CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... constantly during the pandemic’s height.

[THEEPOCHTIMES] The district attorney leading a high-profile investigation into former President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... plans on leaving office later this year.Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance, a Democrat, told the New Yorker that he will not seek reelection and plans on retiring on Dec. 31.
Vance said he’d essentially made the decision before taking on the Trump case.
The 66-year-old cited the pressure of being the Manhattan district attorney.
"It turned out to be tougher than I thought it would be," he said, adding: "There’s nothing worse than a politician who doesn’t know when to leave."
Vance is conducting a secretive probe of Trump. He has repeatedly declined to shed insight on the investigation, though court filings indicate prosecutors believe the former president may have falsified records and committed fraud.

20 years ago, Cy Vance Jr. (spawn of Jimmy Carter's Sec. of State) sent a concrete testing company president up the river for fraud and enterprise corruption. It was inflated billing - to the various contractors. The Slimes turned the story into concrete projects falling down all over the city, but from an engineering standpoint, public safety was not compromised.
After a couple of years in the slammer, am appeals court ruled Vance didn't have enough evidence for the (overstated) fraud case, let alone enterprise corruption.
I hope you have a short retirement, Cy, then get introduced to Himmler.

[DAILYWIRE] On Thursday, Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) He was really good in The Music Man. Boy, can he play the trombone!
directly confronted a critic who accused him of "bias" because he opposed two gun-control bills while approving of requiring voters to show an I.D. in order to vote. Owens fired back, "You know what’s racist? Assuming because I’m black that ’I just don’t have the capability of getting an I-D.’ Disclaimer: We are capable of getting and I-D (and even using the internet!)"
Ownes added,"I used my I.D. to drive a car, to get a job, to board a plane, pick up prescriptions, and virtually everything else in life ... So tell me again, why is showing an I.D. ’Voter suppression’?"
[FRONTPAGEMAG] There's a pro-crimes arms race among Soros DAs bent on freeing the most criminals and convicting the fewest. But even within that fishbowl, Chesa Boudin, Weatherman royalty backed by Soros, is something special. The Marina Times, which Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Democrats have been trying to stamp out, has the numbers and they're something special.
So since taking office @chesaboudin has tried 1 auto burglary, 1 home burglary, 1 gun felony (no conviction), and 3 sexual assaults (only 2 convictions). He tried 1 vehicular homicide and lost the case. He tried zero homicides.
So to be clear, this is the entire @SFDAOffice @chesaboudin has yet to prosecute a case in court, retaining his campaign crown where he said, "I’m the only person on this stage who has never prosecuted a case."
Just keep in mind, Chesa Boudin is the DA of the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... , not a small town in Iowa. These are staggeringly insane numbers that paint a picture of a justice system that has essentially shut down.
"So @chesaboudin has done 10 podcasts and gotten 16 convictions since taking office," the Marina Times also tweeted.
If you want to understand the insane crime wave that has hit cities under the control of Soros DAs, numbers like this are a place to start. It's also why the Chesa Boudin recall is moving forward.
The San Francisco Department of Elections cleared a campaign to recall San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, which will allow them to collect signatures for a recall vote.
The coalition will be required to collect more than 51,000 signatures, roughly 10% of the city’s voters, by mid-August to qualify for a special election.
This move comes just over a year after Boudin took office.
Hell of a year. See above. But Boudin supporters have a great counterargument.
"One of the things that he promised as soon as he got into office was eliminated whole categories of crimes, quality of life crimes and this has led to green lighting by him and his office to allow criminals to run rampant in the city, all corners of the 49 square miles of San Francisco are targets now," recall organizer Richie Greenberg said.
It’s scenes like smash-and-grabs, home burglaries, robberies, and even more crimes not caught on camera fueling the effort.
"We have seen the brazen robberies. We have seen daytime shootings. We have seen how residents, small business owners, and visitors alike to San Francisco have been targets," Greenberg said.
Supporters of Boudin agree that public safety issues need to be solved in San Francisco but argue that the data doesn’t agree with claims of Boudin being the sole reason for crime in the city.
Our guy isn't the "sole reason" for crime in the city is a hell of an argument. The DA isn't supposed to be the sole reason for crime in the city. He's supposed to be solving it.
[SUN] Evanston, Illinois, is the first US city to distribute the money meant to help compensate for a lack of generational wealth and systemic racism. Fentanyl Equity sales up 8000%
However, Rev Michael Nabors, who is the president of the Evanston NAACP, thinks $25,000 is a "drop in the bucket."
"When it's all said and done, however much money is raised for reparations... will only be a drop in the bucket for the suffering and the oppression that Black people experienced in this nation," he told Newsweek.
"When we talk about that being a drop in the bucket, that's what we're talking about.
"There is no amount of money in the world that can take the place of the pain and the suffering that was caused emotionally, that was caused psychologically.
IT IS always a temptation to an armed and agile nation
To call upon a neighbour and to say: –
"We invaded you last night – we are quite prepared to fight,
Unless you pay us cash to go away."
And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
And the people who ask it explain
That you've only to pay 'em the Dane-geld
And then you'll get rid of the Dane!
It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation,
To puff and look important and to say: –
"Though we know we should defeat you,
we have not the time to meet you.
We will therefore pay you cash to go away."
And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we've proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.
It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,
For fear they should succumb and go astray;
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
You will find it better policy to say: --
"We never pay any-one Dane-geld,
No matter how trifling the cost;
For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
And the nation that plays it is lost!"

I understand there are some number of vacancies in the Congo these days. Mozambique as well. No oppression there and generational wealth flows like spring rain.
[NYPOST] It’s appalling that the Biden White House has bought so deeply into the radical "anti-racism" agenda that it intervened to protect propaganda programs for schools that literally divide children and teachers by race before lecturing them on things like "white privilege."
In the final weeks of the Trump presidency, the Education Department’s Office of Civil Rights issued a finding that separating students and staff by race, skin color or ethnicity into "affinity groups" is illegal discrimination.
But the new Biden team kicked that report into limbo on Inauguration Day, not even waiting for its new education secretary to win Senate confirmation. Preserving the radical programs, usually conducted by overpaid private consultants, was that high a priority.
The OCR finding was in response to a complaint about reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... ’s Evanston-Skokie school district, which instructed teachers to consider a student’s race when taking disciplinary measures, separated staff into "white and non-white" groups for a training program and held a "Colorism Privilege Walk" where students separated themselves by skin color.
I've long since decided I'm a "white" supremacist, especially since we got lumped in with the Chinese and the Japanese and the Koreans and the South Asians. I feel so ecumenical.
I'm pretty proud of the civilizations descended from the Greek and the Roman, and respectful of the Chinese and Japanese and Vedic, even of Arabian. I'm accepting of the contributions other civilizations made -- the Semitic Babylonians, the Turanic Sumerians, and of course the Aryan Medes and Persians. I get all fired up reading about Alfred the Great and Viking invasions (thank you Bernard Cornwell!). I love tales of the Frenchies under Louis XIII (thank you Alexandre Dumas!) and the Frenchies, Brits, Italianos, and Germans (thank you Raphael Sabatini). Not being ignorant like some people, I've actually read the History of Plymouth Plantation and even some of the agreements between William Penn and the Delaware Indians and learned a bit of Lenape language. Yeah, they sold Manhattan Island for 24 bucks, but those were original, uninflated dollars. Warren Buffet could afford maybe five of them. And Pocahontas was eleven years old when she saved John Smith's life, so I doubt they had a love affair. I'm still open on whether she conversed with otters and birds and such.
I'm tickled pink to have the Jews (finally) defined as "white," even the Nilotic Ethiopian Jews. Indian civilization since about 1500 BC has been heavily "Aryan" -- Vedic and Sanskrit are both Indo-European languages. The Tokharian languages of Central Asia are Indo-European. There are early Egyptian mummies with blonde hair, "Chinese" (Sinkiang) mummies with red hair and Caucasian features. White people by that definition gave gave the world the pyramids, the hanging gardens of Babylon, and the Palace of Knossos, besides Notre Dame, Big Ben, Don Quixote, Alhambra, and the Cathedral of Aachen. Oh, and the Byzantine Empire, Hagia Sofia, Peter the Great, and the Kremlin.
The Chinese? The Middle Kingdom's been continuously civilized since the Shang Dynasty was inventing writing by whittling on bone with flint. Soon thereafter they were influencing the Japanese and Koreans, who started their own civilizations. Visit Angkor Wat or Borobudur if you don't believe the Indianized states of Southeast Asian were great -- and civilized, maybe just a little humid.
The Ivory Coast? Ghana? What'd they ever give us?
Oh. Yeah.
Meannesses, atrocities, colonialism? You betcha. Achievements? Bow down ye Zimbabweans and Beninese and Aztecs and lesser peoples. We may have had the St Batholomew's Massacre, and maybe we bombed Dresden and Nagasaki, but normally we didn't eat people nor perform human sacrifices. What we did do -- Indo-Europeans, Chinese, Japanese, and Vedic civilizations -- was write and remember and develop ideas and pass them on. We had slaves (so'd the sub-Saharans and the Native Americans) and serfs and such. We also developed all the world's great religions and most of the world's great ideas. Oh, and virtually all the world's great music.
Let the Dems become the anti-white party. It'll do them a bit of good in the short run, but as the white Dems are displaced they're spreading their results, which look more and more like Baltimore and Detroit and Milwaukee, and California and all those other places run by the machine.
Making their defeat even more assured is the fact that blacks can become "white" just by correcting their grammar and paying attention in school and not shooting each other. Now, ain't that a kick in the underwear!
Who’s got the advantage? They call it "white supremacy." We call it civilization. It's something to be proud of.

Maybe I've been hanging out with HP Lovecraft a bit too much, but:
If their decadence will lead to our decline, would it not be in their interest to undersell, or indeed come to hate, accomplishment?
That decline, the natural order of things, is something to strive for, abrogating the ruling class from, their perspective, the illusion of having to care for and improve the conditions of all.
A modified Venetian rule of Cyprus model, if you will.
[NYPOST] Amazon has decided to stop selling books that cast lesbian, gay and transgender identities as mental illnesses.
The e-commerce titan revealed its decision in a letter to three Republican senators who cried foul last month over the removal of a conservative scholar’s book about transgender people.
The book, “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment,” was published in 2018 but recently disappeared from Amazon’s website, Kindle store and Audible audiobook platform.
“As to your specific question about When Harry Became Sally, we have chosen not to sell books that frame LGBTQ+ identity as a mental illness,” Amazon executive Brian Huseman wrote in the Thursday letter to Sens. Marco Rubio, Josh Hawley, Mike Lee and Mike Braun, which was published by The Wall Street Journal.
Huseman was responding to the senators’ Feb. 24 letter demanding more details about Amazon’s decision to remove the book, which they said “openly signaled to conservative Americans that their views are not welcome on its platforms.”
They specifically asked why Amazon hosted the book for three years before yanking it and how the company determined that it contained “offensive content.”

"Dr. Paul R.
