Ankara continues to send military aircraft to Libya. The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... has rejected the ceasefire agreement, signed on 23 October 2020, between Libya’s rival parties in Geneva. It continues to violate the terms of the agreement by training Government of National Accord (GNA) forces. The agreement calls for the freezing of all foreign military pacts with Libya, until a new government is formed.
The agreement also stipulates for the withdrawal of all mercenaries and imported muscle from the country. A number of Libyan politicians have called for the closure of airspace to Ottoman Turkish aviation.
[FRANCE24] Nigerian button men raided a college in a northwestern state and at least 30 students are feared kidnapped, a senior government official said Friday, in the latest abduction targeting a school. The suspected kidnap gang stormed the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Mando, Kaduna state, around 9:30pm (2030 GMT) on Thursday, shooting indiscriminately and taking students hostage.
Northwest Nigeria’s bandits are believed to launch attacks from Rugu forest, which straddles Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna and Niger states.
The college was said to have some 300 male and female students - mostly aged 17 and older - at the time of the attack.
Kaduna state commissioner for internal security Samuel Aruwan said 30 of the students were missing while the army was able to rescue 180 people after a fierce battle with the button men.
"The troops successfully rescued 180 citizens; 42 female students, eight staff and 130 male students," Aruwan said in a statement.
"However, you can observe a lot just by watching... about 30 students, a mix of males and females, are yet to be accounted for."
The commissioner said some of the rescued students were maimed during the operation and had been hospitalised in a military facility.
Heavily-armed gangs in northwest and central Nigeria have stepped up attacks in recent years, kidnapping for ransom, raping and pillaging.
The bandidos are recently turning their attention on schools where they kidnap students or schoolchildren for ransom -- Thursday's was at least the fourth such attack since December.
The police and local residents had earlier confirmed Thursday's incident but could not disclose how many students were seized.

[OneIndia] A search operation conducted by the Tihar jail authorities has led to the recovery of a mobile phone from the barrack of Indian Mujahideen A locally recruited auxilliary of Pakistain's Lashkar-e-Taiba, designed to give a domestic patina to Pakistain's terror war against its bigger neighbor... operative Tehseen Akhtar alias Monu.
He may be a mere operative now, but back in 2014 when he was arrested he was reckoned the Big Turban of the Pakistani sock puppet called Indian Mujahideen.
The police suspect that the mobile was used to create a Telegram channel of the outfit Jaish-ul Hind.
The outfit, it may be recalled had grabbed credit for parking an SUV with gelatine sticks and a threat note outside the home of Mukesh Ambani.
Following the information provided by the Special Cell, the Tihar jail authorities seized a mobile phone from the jail where certain terror convicts are lodged. It is suspected that the phone was used to operate Telegram channels used recently fro claiming responsibility for terror acts and threats. Further probe and forensic analysis will be done after the mobile is received from the jail authorities, DCP (special cell) Pramod Kushwaha said.
Sources in the Delhi Police tell OneIndia that the mobile was in use for around 3 months. Several prisoners including Tehseen was using the mobile. A private cyber firm was asked to track the location of the phone on which the Telegram channel was created.
Tehseen was a key player in the Indian Mujahideen and had criminal masterminded a series of attacks in India.
His name had first cropped during the Varanasi blasts in which 2 people died. A resident of Samastipur in Bihar, he was just 16 when he carried out his first terror operation in Varanasi.
Akthar was also involved in the Mumbai bombings of 2011 and the 2013 Dilsukhnagar attack. The chase to nab him was a tough one. He would also flee to Samastipur following an attack and his close links in the political circles would help him get away.
Akthar was finally banned in 2014 near the India-Nepal border in the Ani Tankhi area of Naxalbari. He was travelling to Nepal to collect money to be used for an operation in Rajasthan.
[Rudaw] ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — One Peshmerga fighter has been killed and another injured in an explosion in Erbil's Sidakan area, a Peshmerga commander has confirmed to Rudaw.
A vehicle carrying two Peshmerga fighters hit TNT explosives late on Friday, Bahram Arif Yasin, the head of Halgurd command told Rudaw, claiming that the explosives were recently laid by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
“The TNT is newly-laid. It was laid by the PKK guerillas a few days ago,” Yasin told Rudaw's Bakhtiyar Qadir.
The two Peshmerga fighters worked in Choman’s Balakatayi area and were returning to visit their village in Sidakan when their car struck the explosives, he added.
The deceased is 46-year-old Tariq Qadir, a father of three children. His colleague Muzafar Hassan, 46, was seriously injured, according to the commander.
The area is frequently bombarded by Turkey due to the presence of the PKK fighters who have laid mines in unpopulated areas to prevent the advance of Turkish forces.
Demining teams affiliated to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) have been clearing mines laid by Iraqi success regimes. The clearance is ongoing.
Three Palestinian fishermen were killed Sunday after a blast ripped through their boat off the Gaza shore, officials said, in what appeared to be an explosion caused by a misfired rocket launched by the ruling Hamas militant group.
Nezar Ayyash, a spokesman for the local fisherman’s association, said the men — two brothers and a cousin — were working off the coast of the southern town of Khan Younis when the explosion happened.
The cause of the blast wasn’t immediately clear, but there were growing indications that it was the result of a misfired rocket. Hamas, which has fought three wars with Israel, is believed to possess thousands of rockets.
Minutes before the explosion, local media reported that Hamas was test-firing rockets toward the sea.
Hamas, which is usually quick to cast blame on Israel, instead said it was launching an investigation. And relatives of the fishermen posted a statement on Facebook describing them as "the martyrs of living who were killed when a local mortar shell hit their boat."
Rami al-Laham, who runs the family Facebook page, said the post was published before the investigation was launched.
"For now, it’s mystery and nobody knows how" they were killed, he said. However, four hours after the investigation was announced, he said no one from Hamas or the government had contacted the family.
[IsraelTimes] IDF says Paleostinian man was caught after crossing into Israel from Strip, had stashed grenades along border before arrest.
Israeli troops on Friday arrested an armed Paleostinian man who crossed into Israel from the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip, the military said.
An initial interrogation revealed the suspect had three grenades he left along the border barrier before he was caught, according to an Israel Defense Forces statement.
The IDF said the suspect, who entered Israel from northern Gaza, was taken in for further questioning.
The incident came a day after the Gaza-ruling terror group Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, blamed Israel for a kaboom that killed three fishermen off the coast of the Strip earlier this week, leading several armed factions in Gaza to vow Dire Revenge.
Hamas interior ministry spokesperson Iyad al-Bozm said that the three fishermen were killed by a kaboom caused by a downed Israeli drone that had been caught in their net.
Israel has denied any involvement in the incident.
Observers had suspected that a mortar or rocket launched by Hamas had unintentionally struck the fishermen’s boat, killing them instantly. Hamas regularly fires experimental rockets toward the sea, both to test their military capacities and as a show of force.
Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... vowed Dire Revenge against Israel following Thursday’s announcement by Hamas, saying that Israel bore responsibility for the fishermen’s deaths.
"The occupation is behind this hideous crime and has committed this odiousness. A response will surely arrive from the Paleostinian resistance," Islamic Jihad said in a statement.
Following the threats, rocket sirens sounded in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon and the nearby community of Kibbutz Zikim, in what the military said was a false alarm.
[IsraelTimes] An Iranian container ship traveling in the Mediterranean was damaged in an attack this week, an official said Friday, calling the incident a "terrorist act."
The ship was slightly damaged by an explosive object but no one on board was hurt, Ali Ghiasi, a front man for state-run shipping company IRISL told semi-official Nournews, according to Rooters.
The accusation comes a day after the Wall Street Journal reported that Israel has targeted at least 12 ships bound for Syria, most of them transporting Iranian oil, with mines and other weapons.
The alleged attack occurred on Wednesday. "Such terrorist acts amount to naval piracy," he added, identifying the ship as the Shahr E Kord, and said it was traveling from Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... to Europe.
Ghiasi said the blast caused a small fire that was extinguished by the crew.
"Legal proceedings will be taken to identify the perpetrators through related international bodies," Ghiasi added.
The company official did not disclose the ship’s current location and cargo, but said "it will continue its route after assessing and repairing the damage".
The attacks started in late 2019 and targeted both Iranian vessels, and other ships with Iranian cargo, the report said, citing "US and regional officials."
Some of the Israeli strikes, which took place in the Red Sea and other areas, targeted Iran-linked weapons shipments, the report said.
The attacks did not sink the tankers, but forced at least two of the vessels to return to port in Iran.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Thousands marched in central Beirut on Friday demanding a new independent government to lift Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... out of its deepening crisis as frustration over the country’s financial meltdown grew.
Lebanon’s economic crisis is posing the biggest threat to its stability since the 1975-1990 civil war.
Erupting in late 2019, it has since wiped out jobs, locked people out of their bank deposits, slashed 85% of the value of its currency and raised the risk of widespread hunger.
"In light of the terrible failure of those in power socially and politically we are going to the streets to ask for a new independent government and an alternative to the current system," a statement by one group of protesters said.
Lebanon’s problems were compounded after a port explosion in August devastated whole tracts of Beirut, killing 200 people and prompting the government to resign, leaving the country rudderless as it sinks deeper into financial collapse.
Prime Minister Hassan Diab’s cabinet has stayed on in a caretaker capacity until a new cabinet is formed.
But prime minister-designate Saad al-Hariri, nominated in October, is at loggerheads with President Michel Aoun ...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah... and has been unable to form a new government to carry out much needed reforms to unlock international aid.
"We are hungry. It is that simple. That is why we are taking part here," said one protester on the streets with his family who declined to be named.
The protest comes after two days of relative calm since nationwide roadblocks persisted for more than a week as groups of demonstrators, angry at the currency’s tumble to a new low, burnt tires to block streets.
Several caretaker ministers have made alarming public remarks in the past week about the state of Lebanon’s security and finances.
Interior minister Mohammed Fahmy said security had all but broken down with "all possibilities open", while energy minister Raymond Ghajar warned that cash for power generation was running out fast and Lebanon could be in total darkness by the end of the month.
Despite the warnings, there has been no movement on the political front.
The lack of action prompted French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian to say that time was running out to prevent Lebanon collapsing and he could see no sign that the country’s politicians were doing what they could to save it.
