[NBC] Newly released surveillance shows the moment a 19-year-old man bum-rushes a security checkpoint and attacks Transportation Security Administration agents at a Phoenix airport earlier in the week.
Tyrese Roshawn Garner was arrested Tuesday on charges of felony trespassing, resisting arrest, and five counts of misdemeanor assault after he allegedly injured several agents in Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
"This unprovoked and brazen physical attack against our TSOs is unacceptable," the agency said in a statement. "We are grateful for our committed workforce and for the role they play in protecting the traveling public every day."

I knew what I'm gonna see as soon as I read the name 'Tyrese Roshawn'. Thank God for these delightfully dependable communal naming conventions. I guess it also makes it easier for law enforcement, when they know know they're going to arrest a 'Tyrone' or a 'Deshawn'.
[DAWN] A former insurance executive from Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, is the 14th parent to plead guilty to participating in the nationwide college admissions bribery scheme.
Authorities say Toby MacFarlane paid $450,000 to get his children admitted to the University of Southern California as fake athletic recruits. MacFarlane pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in Boston federal court Friday.
MacFarlane, of Del Mar, California, is a former senior executive at a title insurance company. Prosecutors have said they'll recommend 15 months in prison.
Other parents who have pleaded guilty in the case include "Desperate Housewives" actress Felicity Huffman.
Among the parents fighting the charges are "Full House" actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli.

[NYPOST] A suburban bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit ... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang... man who was in the middle of a divorce when he won more than $30 million must share the lottery windfall with his ex-wife.
The Michigan appeals court says a marriage isn’t over until it’s over. It means Mary Beth Zelasko can keep $15 million awarded by an arbitrator, although she and Rich Zelasko had been separated for two years when he bought the Mega Millions ticket in 2013. Their divorce wasn’t final until 2018.
In a court filing, an attorney for Rich Zelasko said, "Rich was lucky, but it was his luck, not Mary’s, that produced the lottery proceeds." But arbitrator John Mills said the ticket was marital property. The couple had agreed to have Mills make certain decisions during the divorce case.
The appeals court last week found no errors.

Wonder how the Judge would have looked at medical debt which come about during that period.

I presume it’s a community property state so until the divorce is final all assets are jointly owned unless held separate by agreement; if so and she won the lottery he’d have had a claim.

Community property is premised on the theory that marriage creates an economic community between the spouses
What if that premise is flawed? Suppose a marriage creates a "community economic loss?. For example, the wife maxes out the credit cards on a spending spree in anticipation that there will be a divorce. Can the husband sue for recompense for the spending spree?
The place went up like a... ummm... match.
[DAWN] At least 30 people died on Friday after a fire swept through a small factory producing matchsticks in Indonesia's North Sumatra province, authorities said.
The blaze broke out at midday in the makeshift facility located in a residential area, killing 27 adults and three children, said Riadil Akhir Lubis, head of the provincial disaster mitigation agency.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire, he said.
“(The children) were probably not workers. Their parents, who lived nearby, brought them to work,” said Irwan Syahri, head of the local disaster agency, told Metro TV.

[NYPOST] So many gray whales are washing up on the U.S. West Coast that the federal agency that deals with the rotting carcasses is running out of places to put them while they decompose.
NOAA Fisheries is asking those with private, isolated beachfront property to "host" a rotting whale because space is running out on public land.
So far, about 160 gray whales have washed up this year from Mexico to Canada.
Eighty-one of those died between Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, and Alaska.
U.S. scientists last month declared the die-off an "unusual mortality event," a designation that triggers additional resources and launches an investigation into possible causes.
The first couple to volunteer their private beach received the carcass of an adult male gray whale that died of starvation.

I've heard that there are lots of empty ocean bottoms nearby with organic recycling centers already staffed and waiting. What's wrong with them?
Even though whales have been dying in the ocean ever since they wriggled back into the water, the ocean lacks the proper regulatory infrastructure - EPA bureaucrats, regulators, inspectors, PowerPoint slides and civil service jobs. Hell, there's not even a home owner's association. You can't just let animals go around dying where ever they feel like.

Perfectly normal phenomenon. It's only guilt and systemic self-criticism in the new way of dealing with reality that we are now being made to perceive it as some major event.
"Stranding" is a phenomenon that can occur for any of several reasons, including natural death to rough weather to reaction to sonar frequencies. The huge number quoted is obviously an aggregate, not that hundreds of whales are suiciding for some reason. Now they'll investigate the "unusual mortality event" and link it to global warming somehow.
[DAWN] Chinese police rescued 1,130 kidnapped foreign women in the second half of last year in coordinated operations with five Southeast Asian countries, the Ministry of Public Security said on Friday.
Police arrested 1,322 suspects, including 262 foreigners, for allegedly luring and kidnapping women after promising jobs or marriages, the ministry said, in what appears to be the largest such operation to date.
"In recent years, some lawless locals and foreigners have conspired to abduct women from neighboring countries and sell them as wives in China," public security front man Guo Lin said at a news conference in Beijing. "It's a serious violation of these women's rights and interests."
Demand for foreign brides in China has mounted in recent years. It has been fueled by Beijing's one-child policy, which skewed China's gender balance for decades before the government changed it three years ago. Meaning all the available brides are under three...
Many men in the Chinese countryside struggle to find wives, especially if they lack a car, house, or well-paying job.
Marriage agents that match couples are part of a legal, accepted practice in China, and transnational marriages have become increasingly common. However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... Chinese law bans marriage agencies from introducing foreign brides to deter trafficking.
Along China's porous southeastern borders, smugglers lure women by pretending to be attractive men on social media and flirting with them, or by promising well-paid jobs in hotels or restaurants, as in one case The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported last year.
When they cross the border, smugglers often drug the women, take money, phones and identifying documents, and drive them farther into China.
Trafficked women end up isolated in rural villages, most unable to speak with anyone around them due to language barriers. Disoriented and cut off from family back home, they struggle to get help.
China signed a memorandum with Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand in 2004 to cooperate on anti-trafficking efforts across Southeast Asia.
The recent crackdown from July to December of last year involved police from the six countries. Most of the cases involved Vietnamese and Cambodian women.
The joint raids are an encouraging sign that trafficking is being taken more seriously, says Mimi Vu, director of advocacy at Pacific Links, a group that helps trafficked Vietnamese women.
"Cooperation is a lynchpin of the success of police raids," Vu said. "It's key... that the Chinese police weren't going in blindly, they had information on the missing victims and where they could be found."
China has established eight liaison offices that coordinate with police in neighbouring Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos to combat trafficking and return kidnapped women to their home countries, according to Chen Shiqu, a deputy director at the Ministry of Public Security. Chen also said China has stepped up border patrols and inspections to catch smugglers.
Advocacy groups outside China say Chinese police are responsive to trafficking cases once they're notified.
However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... enforcement can be spotty, with reports of officers failing to take action because of language barriers or concern over getting buyers and agents into trouble.

Would've been interesting to have Chinese oligarchs miscegenate with muslim females, then have their offspring demand 'dreamer' rights in China, eventually grow up into a community of rabid hounds and carry out their own antifa(d) twenty years down.

Fits the primate profile. 50 years ago I read a study that observed female chimps having sex with males so they could steal their food when they fell asleep.... since institutionalized in our divorce courts.

A woman will always accept gifts from an unwanted suitor.
Such cynical white knighting, Mr. McCoy. A woman may behave so. A lady never accepts gifts from an unwanted suitor; among other things, it encourages them to continue their suit in hopes of success instead of wandering off in search of someone who actually likes them, and interfering with time spent more enjoyably with desirable suitors.
But then, psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and narcissism are not ladylike.
Men only date women for other nourishment.
Ultimately, of course. But that is true of both partners in the transaction, to get all economist about it. One hopes the goal is more than a mere roll in the hay, for which, is one is only the slightest bit clever, one needn’t pay anything at all. There is the risk that this will turn out to have been the price a psychopathic/narcissistic/Machiavellian woman was willing to pay to force a romantic relationship — the flip side of that unrequited dinner tab. Perhaps that question can be explored in a future study.

So is Frank G going to delete everything I say or are we going to have an argument?

[Daily Caller] Women’s Olympic champion Caster Semenya is a biological male, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), the world’s largest sports governing body, argued in court.
Semenya, the South African runner who dominated the female competition in the women’s 800M at the 2016 London Olympics, is fighting an IAAF requirement that biologically male runners suppress their testosterone below a certain level in order to compete in female events.
Media reporting on the subject has often left out the fact that the IAAF’s rule only applies to runners with male chromosomes rather than female runners with high testosterone levels.
The IAAF called the requirement "an extremely progressive compromise" between protecting the integrity of women’s sports and accommodating "certain biologically male athletes with female gender identities" like Semenya who want to compete in women’s sports, the court documents show.
The IAAF added that "there are some contexts where biology has to trump identity."

it was reported in the media that Semenya was hyperandrogenic. According to the reports, she possessed internal male sex organs in place of a uterus and ovaries, coupled with testosterone levels three times that of other women.

Semenya started winning big time in 2009 when in one year (her 18th) 'she' improved by 7 seconds in the 800m.
This is a difficult case. She has identified as a girl since childhood unlike some American runners who only identified as female a year before entering contests.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
