When the coward shooter encountered a good guy with a gun he immediately ran. With a vest and a quick exit strategy and no Cali death penalty thanks to Gavin Newsom's moritorium this anti Trump leftist now thinks he will never see justice.

According to The Times of Israel, there were a number of Israelis in the congregation, who applied their well-honed skills surviving attacks from Gaza to rescue children and treat the wounded.
A month ago we would have been reading about dead and injured worshippers at an Escondido mosque had Mr. Earnest’s attempt to burn it down then succeeded...

Reports are now saying an armed church member gave their gun to the agent who apparently didn't have one, thinking they would be better with it. They should read the news more, most cops and agents are crap with guns. Texas might skew better but I'd still trust my own aim with my own pistol than some random 'badge'. I KNOW what I can hit.
[Mirror] Did the man who killed America’s most famous president escape justice all along?
New technology appears to have uncovered bombshell new evidence that it was not Booth who soldiers shot dead five days after he murdered Lincoln.
And it suggests that, contrary to the history book accounts, Booth actually got away with the murder and lived for another 38 years under a different identity.
The extraordinary breakthrough came after researchers used new facial recognition software to examine three photos, which have long been used by conspiracy theorists to throw doubt on whether Booth was really killed after he assassinated President Lincoln.
One was an image of a man called John St Helen from 1877, the other was of the embalmed corpse of a David E. George from 1902, and the third was of John Wilkes Booth taken in 1865, shortly before he fired a 44.calibre pistol into the back of Lincoln’s head.
The exercise was supposed to finally put the outrageous theory to bed - but scientists were stunned with what happened next.
After the state-of-the-art software meticulously analysed the faces of similarities, such as the spaces between the eyes, the jaw lines, the shapes of the noses and cheek bones, the data showed a strong possibility that all three photographs were of the same man.
It would mean that Booth wasn’t killed in the Virginia barn by a Union soldier after all but managed to escape the manhunt, living for another three decades as St Helen and George, before dying of natural causes in 1902 aged 64.
Ramy Romany, an Egyptologist who helped oversea the Booth investigation as part of a new Discovery Channel series, Mummies Unwrapped, said: “I was absolutely shocked.

Thanks mods for this post.I don't work with this type of posting much. This history has interesting surprises at times. What has surprised me the most is the absolute control Lincoln had over the media image he desired presented. Then "President Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas corpus to maintain public order in restive areas. Restive areas are areas in which people are restless, unruly and often disobedient. Habeas corpus refers to a person's right to appear before a judge before imprisonment". Then of course declaring martial law after the civil war. Media control as well to maintain order.

...Interesting though it may be, this is an unlikely conclusion. Booth:
*Identified himself prior to and after he was shot,
*Was identified by literally dozens of people at the shooting site,
*Was identified by a tattoo,
*Was identified at his autopsy, and
*Was identified by family after the autopsy.
In addition, the bullet that took him down fractured three vertebrae in his neck, and partially severed his spinal cord. Even with 21st century medical tech, the best case scenario would be him bedridden on a respirator for what remained of his life. Any suggestion that he was up and around - or even capable of being moved - after his shooting is, to put it politely, dubious.

[DW] President Emmanuel Macron's plans for tax cuts, higher pensions and reform of the civil service have failed to satisfy yellow vest protesters. Thousands erupted into the streets on Saturday.
Protests for the 24th consecutive weekend by yellow vest (gilet jaune) demonstrators have centered on Gay Paree and Strasbourg, part-time home to the European Parliament, just a month before European elections.
By the afternoon, the interior ministry said about 5,500 people had taken to the streets across La Belle France. Of these, some 2,600 were in Gay Paree. According to police in Gay Paree, 8,920 preventive checks were carried out in the capital and 11 arrests were made.
Coming just two days after President Emmanuel Macron spent two hours at the Elysee Palace in Gay Paree explaining his plans for improving living standards, including € 5 billion ($5.5 billion) in tax cuts and improved pensions, among other measures, the protests were being seen as an indicator of approval, or otherwise.
About 2,000 demonstrators gathered in the eastern city of Strasbourg for what they described as a "national and international demonstration," which attracted some participants from just over the border in Germany. While the main rally was peaceful, some masked individuals dressed in black set fire to containers on the streets near the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... parliamentary buildings.
PROTESTS WITH UNIONS
Rallies in the capital were called by the yellow vests and by the country's second-largest trade union federation, the CGT, behind the banner: "Facing a global attack, a general response."
As during previous protests, police were out in force to restrict their movements. Another yellow vest rally in the capital targeted media outlets in protest at their treatment of the movement.
Local authorities had taken similar measures to prevent demonstrators from reaching the center of Toulouse ...lies on the banks of the River Garonne, half-way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The Toulouse metropolitan area is the fourth-largest in La Belle France... in the southwest, Lille in the north, Rennes in the west and Rouen in the northwest of the country.
A number of participants in previous rallies have said they are preparing for a major demonstration next Wednesday, May 1, a traditional day of labor protest across Europe.
[DAWN] LARKANA: The number of HIV-positive cases rose to 18 when a special team working under the administrative control of the Sindh AIDS Control Programme on Friday arrived in Ratodero to ascertain the causes of its spread in children.
It could be something as simple as needles being re-used at a clinic... Mr. Wife’s Indian colleagues brought in new needles for him for that reason when he was hospitalized in Bhopal with amœbic dysentary back in 1990. They brought in the meds directly from the outside pharmacy, too, rather than relying on the probability that what came from the hospital dispensary was actually falsely labelled tap water.
Dr Holla Ram, who looks after the local AIDS control office, said that after visiting Ratodero and meeting the people concerned, the team received laboratory reports of 15 infected children. Of them, he added, 12 appeared HIV-positive cases and the rest HIV-negative.
The tests were conducted by the Peoples Public Health Initiative (PPHI) office. "But even then we will double check them by conducting fresh tests," he said.
