[Washington Examiner] Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Attorney General William Barr is "pretty upset" with how the FBI handled the investigation into Hillary Clinton's unauthorized private email server.
During an interview on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he hopes Barr will appoint a special counsel to look into potential political bias.
"So it seems to me that she was interviewed not under oath. She had a couple of her staff people with her. People in her campaign were given immunity without anything in return. Nobody in the Clinton investigation went to jail for lying about the process because there was no process," Graham told host Maria Bartiromo.
"I know Bill Barr pretty well, and he's pretty upset about the way all this was handled," he added, noting he's not sure how Barr will act.
"I don't know if he's going to have a special prosecutor to look at the probability of criminal misbehavior," Graham said. "I'm going to look at what happened from an oversight role. But I hope there's a special counsel appointed to look at DOJ corruption and political bias, you know? Because Mueller did his job against Trump. Nobody's really looked at the Clinton campaign, the FISA warrant abuse or the counterintelligence investigation for criminality yet and somebody should."
[World Tribune] A super PAC which backed Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx received $408,000 from leftist billionaire George Soros in 2016, Illinois state campaign finance records show.
Foxx’s office on March 26 announced it was dropping the 16 felony counts in the hate crime hoax case of Jussie Smollett. Foxx’s office explained the decision to drop charges against Smollett by referring to his previous community service.
Soros personally contributed a total of $333,000 to Foxx’s super PAC before the March 15, 2016 primary, and an additional $75,000 after she defeated incumbent Anita Alvarez, state campaign finance records show.
Chicagoist.com reported in 2016 that "Foxx has also found two other sources of cash, in the form of twin $300,000 donations to a Super PAC supporting her called Illinois Safety & Justice. The sole donors to the PAC are ... George Soros and a ’dark-money’ group called Civic Participation Action Fund."
Foxx ran on a platform of criminal justice reform, telling local ABC News affiliate WLS-7 that she wanted to focus on "restoring faith in our criminal justice system" and "bridging the divide between the community and law enforcement."

There are few people I would want to drop dead this instant. Soros is at or near the top of that list. So much evil in this world traces back to him.
BLUF:
[Breitbart] The Obama-era FISA warrant obtained to monitor the communications of Carter Page was most likely utilized as a gateway to spy on the rest of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, contended William Binney, a former highly placed NSA official turned whistleblower.
"So effectively what that means is that they had the ability to basically spy on anybody," he said. "They could spy on everybody on the Republican National Committee or everybody in the Trump campaign."
"Not only could they collect all the data on that second person but all of the data content as well as metadata on anybody that he talks to," Binney added.
[REALCLEARPOLITICS] ... Smollett’s staged “MAGA hat” attack was a calculated slander against every American who voted for Donald Trump. I wasn’t one of those voters, but they number some 63 million. What Jussie Smollett was trying to do with that phony 2 a.m. attack in the street and his fake anthrax letter was stir up animosity against every one of them. Let’s be blunt: He was trying to foment racial unrest in this country. One can only assume he’d have been pleased if some actual MAGA hat wearers were physically attacked in retaliation. Those are his hate crimes. They certainly seem worthy of some jail time, if only as a deterrent.
The third hoax -- the dropping of charges against this man for no reason that makes sense under the law -- assures that the malicious seeds Smollett planted will linger and take root. Millions of people will believe him. “The charges were dropped,” they’ll say, and they won’t be wrong. This, too, is a kind of hate crime, this one committed under color of law by elected officials.
Shortly after Donald Trump’s election as president, the venerable Washington Post adopted as its mantra “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” Some Trump supporters chafed at this slogan, seeing it as a subtle dig at their guy. Maybe it is, but the newspaper’s sentiment is undeniably true. In Chicago, democracy also dies in the daylight. In the middle of the morning, in open court.

I wasn’t one of those voters,
Why would you feel the need to inject this unnecessary bit of information?
[WASHINGTONTIMES] President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... exceeded his authority when he reversed bans on offshore drilling in vast parts of the Arctic Ocean and dozens of canyons in the Atlantic Ocean, a U.S. judge said in a ruling that restored the Obama-era restrictions.
U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Gleason in a decision late Friday threw out Trump’s executive order that overturned the bans that comprised a key part of Obama’s environmental legacy.
Presidents have the power under a federal law to remove certain lands from development but cannot revoke those removals, Gleason said.
"The wording of President Obama’s 2015 and 2016 withdrawals indicates that he intended them to extend indefinitely, and therefore be revocable only by an act of Congress," said Gleason, who was nominated to the bench by Obama.
A Department of Justice front man, Jeremy Edwards, declined comment Saturday.

So all Trump has to do to make his executive orders as secure as an act of Congress is to just include words saying that the orders are to extend indefinitely, right?
#10
Congress is considered 'sovereign' which means that the current Congress can never restrict what a future Congress might do. Can't imagine any rationale for saying that principle does not also apply to presidents.

This one is going to get dumped on appeal - except for the problem that the appeals court is the 9th Circus. Obama appointee, naturally.
The reasoning is exceptionally stupid, that a president has the power to do A, but not the power to un-do A, via executive branch powers under the Constitution.
Let's see them hold this up for something Trump does the next time a Demo is in office. Guaranteed it doesn't work.

Never go full crazy before an election... But they can't help themselves. This is typical party out of power craziness but magnified x10 or more. If they keep amping it up we'll see a landslide and that would be very good for the nation.
[Jpost] George Papadopoulos, formerly an aide to US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... 's campaign for president, said he was never questioned by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team with regard to Russia, only work related to Israel, calling it the "key" to his case.
"What I was really targeted for by the Mueller team and these individuals has nothing to with Russia, it has to do with my work in Israel and my work, actually, as an energy lobbyist," he told Army Radio in an interview broadcast on Sunday.
"I never met a single Russian official in my entire life, even on the Trump campaign. All these characters in my story that were described falesly by the FBI and Bob Mueller to be Russians were, in fact, Western intelligence operatives that were sent to try and sabotage the Trump campaign."
Papadopoulos, who was plucked out of obscurity to work as a foreign policy adviser for Donald Trump's presidential run, pleaded guilty in October 2017 to lying to the FBI about his communications with two Russian nationals and a Maltese professor with Russian ties while working on the campaign.
In his book, "Deep State Target: How I Got Caught in the Crosshairs of the Plot to Bring Down President Trump," Papadopoulos claims he was duped into pleading guilty and says his admitted lies were memory lapses and unintentional.
"I believe it's a total vindication for both the campaign, the transition team and the current administration," he told Army Radio of US Attorney General William Barr's report on the Mueller report. "And what I do believe is going to happen now is I think this vindication is going to result in new investigation into those who committed this unlawful, unjustful witch hunt, as the president calls it."
Under his plea deal, Papadopoulos acknowledged that Joseph Mifsud, a Maltese academic, told him in April 2016 that Russia had "dirt" on then-Democratic presidential candidate Perennial Presidential Campaigner Hillary Crooked Hillary Clinton ... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away... , three months before hacked emails started appearing online and doing damage to the Clinton campaign.
Papadopoulos told Australian diplomat Alexander Downer over drinks in May 2016 that Russia had political dirt on Clinton. Australian officials passed that information to their US counterparts two months later, helping trigger the FBI's probe into Russian attempts to influence the Trump campaign.
The ex-campaign strategist was sentenced to 14 days in federal prison for lying to the FBI and told Army Radio he has "no expectations" for a presidential pardon.
"My lawyers think he might issue [a pardon]; I don't have any expectation though," he said. "I believe the foundation of my case was corrupted as President Trump will see the entire Mueller investigation surrounding me was my work with Israel and not with Russia."
Despite his legal troubles, Papadopoulos said he remains a Trump supporter.
"I am a very big supporter of President Trump, I think his decision to move the embassy to Jerusalem and acknowledge Israel's right to the Golan Heights are incredibly important, both from a strategic point of view, but also from a moral standpoint. So of course I'm very pleased with him and I support him and I expect him to be reelected in 2020.

But the point Injun is that he was played by government agencies that tried to influence an election and then tried to manifest a coup. So my question is: Can the FBI be charged for RICO????

[FOXNEWS] The Senate is poised this week to consider two more conservative nominees selected by President Trump to sit on the left-leaning 9th Circuit Court of Appeals -- and the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee isn't happy about it.
That's because the nominees, Ken Lee and Dan Collins, were picked without any input from either Dianne Feinstein ...Dem Senator-for-Life from Caliphornica. She has been a politician since about the time she was weaned. Feinstein was the author of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and tried it a second time in 2012. Feinstein has chaired the Select Committee on Intelligence since 2009. At age 80, Feinstein is the oldest currently serving United States Senator.... or Kamala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, now a senatrix from California and 2020 Dem presidential hopeful... , Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,'s two Democrat senators. Traditionally, the White House seeks to obtain a so-called "blue slip," or approval, from a judicial nominee's two home-state senators before pressing on with their nominations.
But the Trump administration, which has successfully nominated several conservative judges to the 9th Circuit already, has pointedly disregarded that process as it continues its push to transform the appellate court that the president repeatedly has derided as hopelessly biased and "disgraceful."
"I take it that without notice or discussion, the blue slip is essentially dead," Feinstein, the ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said in televised remarks on Thursday. "This change in practice not only harms the Senate, it harms the federal judiciary. And I wish we could’ve had an opportunity to discuss it. I really believe it’s a mistake."
Feinstein, whose handling of the Brett Kavanuagh confirmation process still rankles conservatives, went on: "Before President Trump took office, the blue slip had been a Senate practice for nearly one century. And during the past 100 years, before this presidency, the Senate confirmed only five judges with only one blue slip, and the last one was in 1989 ‐ and in 100 years the Senate had never confirmed a judge without two blue slips."

Maybe he did consult her. Is she really sure that he didn't? And why are all those people in her room? Doesn't she realize it's filling with water and she doesn't have enough paper towels to soak it all up?
(I joked instead of meat for Lent, I was giving up sanity. Yay crazy job.)

Realistically Feinstien probably wants a few possible competitors to her job given court appointments to take them out of the running. If she were even remotely trustworthy a deal could be worked out. She's not, so she can pound sand.
[PRESSTV] US Senator Bernie Sanders ...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated by Hillary, then went back to being a socialist... , who has announced he is running for president again in the 2020 elections, has said that "thousands of people will literally die" if President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... can successfully dismantle the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare ... aka the Affordable Care Act, an ineptly designed and worse executed piece of legislation designed to bring 17 percent of the U.S. economy under the direct control of the government. The previous iteration, known as Hillarycare, was laughed out of Washington. This stinker was passed on a party-line vote without being read... "If Trump gets his way, the cost of health insurance ... will be so high that many people literally will not be able to afford it. Thousands of people will literally die. That’s Trump’s health insurance plan," Sanders said during an interview with CBS News on Sunday.
"My plan is just a little bit different. I think we should join the result of the industrialized world, guarantee health care to all people as a right," Sanders added.
Sanders, an Independent senator from Vermont who is seeking the Democratic nomination for president in 2020, said that he plans to introduce his Medicare for All plan "within the next couple of weeks."
"When we do that, what we understand is that it is just not acceptable that 30 million Americans have no health insurance and even more are underinsured with high deductibles and high co-payments," he added.

I died back in the 80's during the population explosion, food riots, famine and resource depletion. Apparently, none of you slackers read The Population Bomb or the Club of Rome report or you'd be dead too.

#6 Far worse than reading that drivel, I was bludgeoned by it for an entire semester in a required course "the Limits to Growth'. Imbecility cubed to even a casual observer, but the professoriate bought it hook, line and sinker.

Does anyone ever wonder if "the Population Bomb" nonsense was an intentional lie to lower birthrates in the west and thus allow for us to be replaced...
I don't think the left is that organized or far thinking but it gives me shivers to think what if they are.
[DAILYCALLER] Former Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy predicted Sunday that the U.S. intelligence community might stop providing information to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff because he leaks "like a screen door on a submarine."
Gowdy was asked to weigh in on Republicans’ decision Thursday to call on Schiff to step down as chairman of the House panel.
"Never seen that before," said Gowdy, who served on the intelligence panel before leaving Congress in January. "We never voted to remove or ask a chairperson to step down."
"Adam is a deeply partisan person. He did everything he could to make sure Perennial Presidential Campaigner Hillary Crooked Hillary Clinton ... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away... became president. And he’s done everything he could to keep a cloud over the Trump presidency," Gowdy said of Schiff.

[ConservativeTreehouse] With the Mueller probe coming to a close, there is increased focus on congress (Lindsey Graham and/or Devin Nunes), along with President Trump, beginning a process toward accountability for those who constructed the Russia collusion/conspiracy hoax. However, amid the increased calls for sunlight and accountability, there are well-intended voices walking perilously close to an outrage trap.
The issue(s) surround President Obama and high-ranking Obama intelligence officials, notably: Comey, Clapper, Brennan and Yates, intentionally lying and/or misrepresenting issues to president-elect Donald Trump and the transition team in/around the transition period and shortly after the January 20, 2017, inauguration.
Some of the misinformation stems from intelligence officials telling direct lies (ex. telling President-elect, and President Trump he was not under investigation). Other aspects were lies of omission surrounding the Steele Dossier during the January 6th, 2017, intelligence briefing session with the President-elect in Trump Tower.

Sen. Bernard Sanders has amassed a presidential campaign team of pit bulls skilled in the art of internal party warfare ‐ and in many cases is still grinding axes over the way he was treated by the Democratic Party in his 2016 run for the White House.
Three members of his team didn’t even back Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, and instead supported the Green Party in the general election.
Others have made a career of ripping the very people Mr. Sanders now faces in the 2020 Democratic primaries.
Among those is David Sirota, his senior adviser and speechwriter who has earned a reputation for combativeness online. He has deleted 20,000 of his tweets, many of them harsh attacks on other Democrats, according to Politico.
Mr. Sirota and the other political warriors seem to belie the image the septuagenarian socialist enjoys among the voting public.
"These people are attack dogs and make it look like Bernie’s planning on a slash-and-burn campaign," said one longtime Democratic operative with deep presidential campaign experience. "Either Bernie’s naive, which I don’t think he is, or it’s a little bit of a recognition I’m going to say one thing and do the complete opposite."

Tough crap. he ran and identified as a socialist while Senator. Why did you allow him to run in your party, other than to remove any doubt that you are in fact socialists. Now its Trotsky-Stalin time.

of course there are some issues in Bernie's background too
one of Beto's hacks got hold of the video of a drunken shirtless Bernie singing 'This Land is My Land..." at a drinking party in the Soviet U just a few years before it collapsed and there is his wife's mismanagement of Burlington College and lots lots more

[Free Beacon] Republicans are maneuvering to give an abortion survivors protection bill a floor vote in the Democrat-controlled House.
GOP leaders will file a discharge petition to force a vote on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act on April 2 in an effort to force a vote after Democrats have refused to bring it out of committee. Minority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R., La.) is spearheading the effort to gain the 218 votes needed to accomplish that goal. That would require the support of his entire caucus, as well as 21 Democrats. Scalise acknowledged that the maneuver is rarely used, but said it was necessary given the embrace of "radical abortion" positions advancing in blue states, such as New York.
"This is one tool we have, especially as the minority party, to try to bring very important and critical legislation to a vote," he told the Washington Free Beacon. "There is momentum already starting to build ... we already have heard from some Democrats and there's been a lot of interest from the pro-life community."
The bill would force abortionists and medical personnel to provide care to infants who survive the procedure and are born alive. Bills in the House and Senate emerged following public outcry when Virginia's Democratic governor Ralph Northam endorsed allowing babies to die on the table if doctors did not receive permission from mothers to care for them. Scalise called the practice "barbaric" and recent late-term abortion legislation in New York has "alarmed people all across the country."
"This bill gives survivors the full protections that every other American enjoys," he said. "I don't see how anybody can defend this practice‐this shouldn't be part of the abortion debate, it's a born alive."
