[ToloNews] The Bala Murghab district in the northwestern Badghis province, which came under attack by Talibs last week, is still under siege by the murderous Moslem group, the district governor and a security official confirmed on Friday.
The roads to Bala Murghab have been blocked by snuffies and according to District Governor Waris, the bandidos murderous Moslems have arrived to a distance of one kilometer from the center of the district.
Bala Murghab is the largest and the most populous district in Badghis.
At least 20 Afghan Army soldiers have bit the dust during the one-week battle in the district, Waris said.
The district governor said at least 11 security outposts and a unit of Afghan Army have fallen to the Death Eaters. At least 28 Afghan Army soldiers have disappeared following the Taliban ...Arabic for students... attack, he added
"At least 11 security outposts and a unit of Afghan Army have been captured by the Taliban. But reinforcements have been deployed to the area," Waris stated.

Security officials in the district, meanwhile, said the situation is "under control" of government forces and that military operations are ongoing.
"We have launched military operations in certain areas and now the situation is normal in the district. We can target the enemy wherever they are," Badghis Police Chief Khalil-Ur-Rahman Jawad said.
Some security force members on the frontlines assured the Bala Murghab residents that they will "eliminate" the Taliban from the area.
"We have all equipment and we can launch operation either at night or during the day. Security forces do not have any problem and we will chase the enemy," said Bashir Ahmad, a police officer.
"The enemy has come to the province from various parts of the country and wanted to take control of Bala Murghab district. They had a big plan, but we defeated them," said Haji Mullah, a policeman.

Trump should've started a session on green anti-capitalist extremism.
[AlAhram] Survivors of the Christchurch mosque shootings have recalled how elderly worshippers and children were mercilessly bumped off as a heavily armed attacker methodically targeted Moslems Friday in New Zealand's worst massacre.
At least 49 people died and another 48 were maimed in the assault on two mosques in the South Island city, which Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said marked "one of New Zealand's darkest days."
Anwar Alsaleh was preparing for Friday prayers on the Moslem holy day at the Masjid al Noor mosque in central Christchurch -- where 41 victims were killed -- when a gunman walked in.
Anwar hid in a bathroom and tried to call emergency services as shots rang out, telling stuff.co.nz he heard the gunman say an expletive about Moslems and "We're going to kill you today."
He said he heard people begging for their lives. "They shot them until they died," he said.
At least another seven people died at the Linwood Avenue mosque, about five kilometres away, where Syed Mazharuddin said a man wearing body armour and a helmet opened fire.
The young guy who usually takes care of the mosque ... he saw an opportunity and pounced on him (the gunman) and grabbed his gun," Mazharuddin said.
"Just around the entrance door there were elderly people sitting there praying and he just started shooting at them," he told the New Zealand Herald.
"There was a lady screaming and he shot her point blank in the face."
The attacker live-streamed the attack, with footage showing him firing repeatedly at worshippers as he moves from room to room.
Witnesses at the Masjid al Noor mosque said the shooter was a white male with magazines of ammunition strapped to his legs.
One told Radio New Zealand the gunman was "very calm" during the rampage.
Mirwaiz, an Afghan refugee who did not want to provide his surname, said he came close to death when a bullet grazed his head.
"He started shooting at our side of the room and I lay down on the floor as a bullet grazed my head. A couple of centimetres lower and I would be dead," he told stuff.co.nz, saying he fled from the mosque while the gunman's attention was elsewhere.
Others told of scrambling through broken windows and playing dead among the carnage in a bid to survive.
Carl Pomare was driving past the Masjid al Noor with an employee when he saw people running from the mosque and falling to the ground.
They pulled over and tried to help the injured, including a five-year-old girl.
"We managed to get her into the car of one of the people who was helping and got her to the hospital, she was critical," he told RNZ.
"The guy that my worker was nursing, he passed away in his arms sadly. It was surreal."
There were tales of heroism at the Linwood mosque too, where Syed Mazharuddin said a man wrestled a weapon off the attacker, who cut short his killing spree and ran to a waiting car.
"The young guy who usually takes care of the mosque ... he saw an opportunity and pounced on him (the gunman) and grabbed his gun," Mazharuddin said.
"This guy, the hero, tried to chase but he couldn't find the trigger in the gun... he ran behind him but there were people waiting for (the shooter) in the car and he fled."
[Rudaw] A Ottoman Turkish court convicted 10 people on Thursday in connection with a 2016 suicide kaboom of a Kurdish wedding in Gaziantep. On August 20, 2016 a jacket wallah attacked a Kurdish wedding party in southeastern The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire.... . Fifty-seven people were killed, more than half of them children. At least 100 people were maimed.
A few hours later, mortars landed on the outskirts of Gaziantep, fired from Jarabulus in northern Syria. Ottoman Turkish forces responded, firing artillery at ISIS positions across the border.
President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey... blamed ISIS for the attack and said the suicide bomber was a child aged between 12 and 14.
A few days later, Turkey launched Operation Euphrates Shield ‐ its military offensive in northern Syria aimed at clearing ISIS from its border and preventing Syrian Kurds from expanding their territory west of the Euphrates River.
Really, they’d have been more effective at preventing future attacks had they gone after the ISIS jihadis sheltered in Turkish arms, but that would only kill one bird with that stone, and not the bird important to Sultan Recep Tayip Erdogan I “the much beloved”.
Eight of those convicted on Thursday were given aggravated life sentences on charges of premeditated murder, possession of hazardous materials, and membership in a terrorist organization, Anadolu Agency reported. Two others received nine years in prison for membership in a terrorist organization.
Two people ‐ one of them a minor ‐ were acquitted.

[Rudaw] Syria on Friday accused donors who pledged aid to help its citizens displaced by the country's eight-year war of "hypocrisy" as they continue to impose sanctions on the regime.
International donors -- led by the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... -- meeting on Thursday in Brussels pledged nearly $7 billion in aid for 2019 for civilians caught up in the conflict. But European powers stressed progress on a UN-led grinding of the peace processor must come before they release funds to rebuild Syria -- though they no longer insist Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad The Scourge of Hama... must go.
"The hypocrisy of the discourse of the officials of some countries taking part in the Brussels conference is both laughable and angering," a source at the foreign ministry said.
EU sanctions have deprived "the European Union of any credibility when it speaks about helping Syrians and alleviating their suffering," state news agency SANA quoted the source as saying.
The source criticised what it called the "deliberate and systematic politicisation of the humanitarian issue and attempts to use it through conferences like these to continue to exert pressure on Syria and compound the crisis."
It slammed the conference for not inviting the Damascus government, calling it the "main concerned party" in the matter.
Since late 2011, the 28-member bloc has imposed sanctions on 277 Syrian officials including Damascus ministers over their role in the "violent repression" of civilians. It has frozen the assets of some 72 entities and introduced an embargo on Syrian oil, investment restrictions and a freeze on Syrian central bank assets within the European Union. The United States has also imposed a flurry of sanctions against Syrian officials, and had worked to hamper oil shipping to Syria.
Damascus says the sanctions have contributed to a fuel crisis in the country, which on Friday marked the eighth anniversary of its civil war. Numerous rounds of US-backed peace talks have failed to stem the bloodshed, which has killed more than 370,000 people and pushed millions more from their homes.
International donors have pledged around $7 billion in aid for Syria and Syrian refugees who fled the conflict-ravaged country, the European Union announced Thursday, as the war enters its ninth year.
But it was unclear how or when the money would be made available to those in need.
EU Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Christos Stylianides said the donors made a “collective pledge of almost $7 billion” for 2019, short of the $8 billion that the United Nations had hoped to raise for humanitarian aid inside Syria and for refugees living in difficult conditions in neighboring Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq, as well as Egypt.
The EU, the world’s biggest aid donor, announced that it would provide 560 million euros ($633 million) this year, while planning to offer the same amount next year and in 2021.
It also pledged a significant slice of the money — some 1.5 billion euros ($1.7 billion) — for refugees in Turkey. This was previously offered by the EU to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 2015 to help persuade him to get the Turkish coast guard to stop Syrian refugees and other migrants from setting out for Greece.
Lowcock said this additional 1.5 billion euros “is one of the reasons why it looks as though we’re going to have a good outcome on the pledging.”
The United States pledged more than $397 million in refugee support.
Before and during the conference, the EU continued to refuse to help rebuild Syria until a political settlement has been reached, even though some NGOs believe that stance is a serious obstacle to genuine aid efforts.
Absent from the donor conference are Syrians themselves — no government or opposition representatives have been invited. Civil society groups are concerned that donor countries want to pressure Syrian refugees to return, despite the dangers and uncertainties they face. Lowcock acknowledged that conditions are not yet right “for large-scale returns.”

[IsraelTimes] Low-level member touches rockets, setting them off; fire came as Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, chiefs meeting with incredulous Egyptian mediators; Israel informed of ’mistake’ before launching retaliation.
The two Gazoo rockets that almost brought Israel and Hamas to war late Thursday were fired by accident, Israel’s Channel 13 news reported Friday, when low-level Hamas operatives "messed with" a Gazoo beach rocket launcher that was set up to fire toward Tel Aviv in the event of future conflict.
The report said the farcical chain of events that almost led to war was "like something out of Monty Python," referring to the legendary British comedy group.
The report said news of rocket sirens blaring in Tel Aviv broke as Yihya Sinwar and other Hamas leaders were meeting with an Egyptian delegation trying to mediate eased Israeli economic restrictions on Gazoo.
"You’re meeting with us at the same time as you’re firing on Tel Aviv?" the Egyptians reportedly asked Sinwar in fury.
He told them he knew nothing about the matter, went to check, and established what had happened, the report said.
The Egyptians then called Israeli defense chiefs and relayed what had happened. Israel told the Egyptian delegation to leave Gazoo ‐ they crossed into Israel at the Erez crossing ‐ and then began its retaliatory strikes on Hamas targets.
Had the rocket fire been deliberate, the Israeli response would have been five times heavier, the TV report said. The rocket fire was the first at Tel Aviv since 2014.
The Egyptians reportedly told Hamas that if Hamas responded heavily to the Israeli strikes, there would be a major escalation of conflict. Hamas did fire several rockets across the border.
The TV report said Hamas has incarcerated Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! one or more operatives over the "accidental" fire.
It also said that Hamas had proved that it fully controls the Gazoo border protests by acting to cancel Friday’s protests to ensure relative calm prevailed.
The report noted that Paleostinian Authority sources in Ramallah doubt the Hamas account of accidental fire.
In response to the two rockets fired at Tel Aviv, which did not hit residential areas and caused no direct injury, Israeli war planes hit over 100 Hamas targets in the Gazoo Strip overnight Thursday-Friday. Israel holds Hamas, the Islamist terror group that rules the Strip, responsible for any attacks emanating from the coastal enclave.
The growing assumption among Israeli army officials is that Thursday’s rockets were fired from Gazoo toward Tel Aviv by mistake, a defense official said Friday.
A Hamas official on Thursday told the The Times of Israel that the terror group "has no interest in an escalation" with Israel. The official said he had "no idea" who fired rockets toward Tel Aviv.
The Hamas-run interior ministry called the rocket fire "outside the national consensus" and said it would exact measures against those behind it.
Initial reports had indicated that the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... (PIJ) terror group was responsible for the rocket fire. Hebrew-language media reported that Fajr missiles were launched, which PIJ has in its arsenal.
However, a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth... that terror group also denied that it was behind the fire. PIJ front man Daoud Shehab called the reports "baseless lies and claims."
Hamas and PIJ told Egyptian security officials who were in the Strip to discuss a long-term truce that they were not responsible for the rockets, al-Jazeera reported.
[ALMASDARNEWS] Israel has bombarded the Gazoo Strip with over 100 missiles following rocket fire into Tel Aviv.
According the Israeli military, at least 100 missiles were fired into the Gazoo Strip early this morning.
At approximately 10:30 P.M last night, sirens sounded in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Iron Dome Air Defense System was filmed firing at two rockets reportedly fired from the Gazoo Strip.

Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated that the Gazoo Strip would be struck hard, beginning the attack at roughly 1:00 A.M and continuing the attack for approximately 3 hours.
A Gazoo Cultural center, ports, boats, agricultural lands and residential homes were all bombarded last night.

[Rudaw] Suicide bombers attacked an area used by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to screen people surrendering from al-Baghouz on Friday, killing three SDF fighters.
"ISIS terrorists" conducted three simultaneous suicide kabooms at a staging ground for people surrendering from Baghouz to the SDF, Mustafa Bali, the head of the SDF Press Office tweeted on Friday night.
The SDF says the attacks killed six people who were surrendering, maimed others, while killing three SDF fighters and slightly injuring some more.
They also announced that more "ISIS terrorists" from Baghouz had surrendered on Friday.
ISIS is being pounded with US-led international coalition strikes, while simulataneously facing a three-axis ground offensive by the SDF which is supported by the coalition.
They have resorted to suicide attacks on a nearly hourly basis within the past two days.
The SDF is keeping open a corridor for families to evacuate and turbans to surrender. On Thursday, 1,300 people ‐ families and fighters ‐ turned themselves in, Bali tweeted. More than 60,000 people have evacuated the Baghouz area since December, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
SDF spokesperson Kino Gabriel also denied on Friday that it has reached an agreement with Baghdad to hand over thousands of ISIS turbans and family members held in SDF custody.
Baghouz town and its outlying villages lie in Syria's eastern Deir ez-Zor governorate near the border with Iraq. The area in the Middle Euphrates River Valley long has been described as the group's "final stand" by senior US military officials.

The witness said three women had detonated explosives at a position where people who had left the enclave were surrendering, causing deaths and injuries.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which is besieging the enclave, said there had been a suicide attack, but gave no further details.
[ALMASDARNEWS] US Special Representative for Syria James Franklin Jeffrey said that the US is appealing to countries to take back ISISimported muscle and their families captured by the US-backed SDF in Syria, to share the burden of prosecution and re-education.
Jeffrey added that the US believes there are 15,000-20,000 ISIS adherents in Syria and Iraq, with many of them in sleeper cells.
According to him, ISIS is down to a few hundred fighters and less than a square kilometre of land.
"We are just about finished with the campaign along the Euphrates to defeat the last territorial holdings of the Caliphate. They’re down to a few hundred fighters and less than a square kilometre of land," Jeffrey said.
Recently, the SDF has been carrying out operations against ISISgunnies in Syria, with support from the US-led coalition.
The US-led coalition, which consists of over 70 countries, is conducting military operations against ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
The coalition’s operations in Syria are not authorised by the Syrian government nor the UN Security Council (UNSC).

(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) is in a world of trouble in the eastern region of the Euphrates River Valley as they are not only besieged from all sides, but it appears they have a shortage of fighters to press on.
As a result of these circumstances, the Islamic State has allowed women to participate in the defense of the Baghouz Camp against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
ISIS typically prohibits women from fighting on the front-lines; however, due to their current circumstances in eastern Syria, they have made an exception to this rule.
