[NEWSTIMES] When the most detailed analysis of statewide traffic stops in Connecticut history is released at the end of the month, it will show that more minority drivers were pulled over in the last year than their share of the driving population warrants. Here's a fun game to try when you're out for a drive someday: Pretend you're a policeman. As you follow each car on the road for a few hundred yards guess what race the driver is from behind.
For a handful of police departments where the disparity is especially pronounced, the state intends to offer training and other assistance. Here's another fun game: Ask your friends whether they want law enforced equally or proportionately. The answers will tell you whether they're happy reading the New York or Washington Post.
The goal is to address biased policing before it produces a crisis of confidence, as it did recently in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, where a federal Justice Department probe found that officers routinely discriminate against blacks.
"I do anticipate changes in communities that have been identified where bias is present," said Ken Barone, a policy and research specialist at the Institute for Municipal and Regional Policy in New Britannia and one of three authors who produced the analysis.
"The foundation of this project is if the public doesn't believe law enforcement is legitimate, then police have lost their credibility," Barone said. "So the next phase of this project is to put reforms into place."

Everyone that got their butts shot off during the past year had just committed a violent crime and then tried to beat up the police response.
Always followed by a riot of course.
Why? Black leadership has failed the black community. It is easier to play the race card than to get off their lazy pot smoking butts and become real moral leaders.

F*ck, I can't wait for the report, should be an interesting read. Maybe Baritone can make it into an opera, "New Britannia the World is Ferguson Black" - Tickets will be on sale to the Metropolitan Opera in NYC, at your next Connecticut State Trooper traffic stop.

data shows that blacks commit more traffic violations (and other crimes). Police coverage is concentrated in high crime areas. Do you need to be Fox Butterfield to not see the connection?

Remember "Trigonometry is Racist" a few days ago, Frank?
[LATIMES] Two teenagers have been sentenced to 30 years in prison each for raping and pouring bleach down the throat of an 87-year-old woman during a break-in at a Hemet retirement home, officials said.
Raymond Michael Miranda, 15, and Ruben Melanson, 16, who were sentenced as adults, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including rape, burglary and elder abuse, said John Hall, a front man for the Riverside County district attorney's office.
The pair also admitted to a gang enhancement as well as having committed bodily injury to the woman during the April 17, 2014, attack.
Miranda and Melanson will be housed at the Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Department of Juvenile Justice until they turn 18, then will be transferred to a state prison to serve the remainder of their sentences. They also must register as sex offenders for life.
Do prisoners object to the rapists of little old ladies like they do to the rapists of children?
Police said the teenagers broke into a gated senior living community, then broke into the sleeping woman's home. They beat her, sexually assaulted her and used knives and bottles during the attack, according to a Riverside County Superior Court criminal complaint. Prosecutors said the teens also poured bleach down the woman's throat.
During the sentencing, Miranda apologized for his actions, Hall said. The woman, who was identified only as Jane Doe, now has to use a wheelchair and an oxygen tank to help her breathe as a result of the attack, Hall said. At the sentencing, she thanked Miranda for apologizing, but said their actions were evil.

How about "attempted murder"? They POURED BLEACH DOWN HER THROAT, and all they get charged with is 'elder abuse"? So if she was under 65 it would have been OK?
What about the knives and bottles? No "assault with a deadly weapon" charges? She is now in a wheelchair and on oxygen, permanently, because of their attack, but no "assault with gross bodily harm"?

Disgusting little sh*ts, 30 years isn't long enough, but those two are going to become "toy boys" in prison, and there lives are toast. Damned animals.

Do prisoners object to the rapists of little old ladies like they do to the rapists of children?
Pretty much. One of my father's 'friends' did time in the NH state prison in Concord for ripping off and beating up his own mother. One of my last classes at UNH was in criminology, the guy teaching the class was Concord's former warden. So we do a field trip to Concord, and who do I see in the big plexiglass room (protective custody, to separate these guys from GP) with about twenty other people? Yes, indeed. He recognized me, too.
[WASHINGTONPOST] A Boston high school employee known as "Rev" was charged this week with attempting to murder a student authorities say he had recruited to work for him selling marijuana. So the janitor, an amateur preacher, was running a weed selling operation and was using the kiddies as his salesmen? Izzat what we get from that sentence?
Police and prosecutors say that Shaun Harrison, who had worked for English High School, shot a 17-year-old student in the back of the head Tuesday night. Remarkably, the student not only survived but flagged down a car while he had a bullet wedged in his cheek. He spoke with police in his hospital room the following day. Used a .32 to do a .45's job, did he?
Harrison, 55, was You can still be named 'Shaun' when you're 55? I thought you had to change it to something grownup when you hit 40? tossed in the calaboose Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! and charged in Roxbury Municipal Court with attempted murder. One to the back of the head is usually more than just an attempt.
He operated "a marijuana distribution enterprise" and had gotten the student to work with him before some sort of still-unspecified dispute, according to the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley. "Hey, yo! Ma man! Where at ma money?"
"Ah hain't gotcho money!"
"We're saddened, we're shocked by the news," Denise Snyder, spokeswoman for Boston Public Schools, said in a telephone interview Friday. "I think it was a really sad day for us yesterday." You got a guy name "Shaun" who goes by "da Rev" and you're shocked at something? Really?
Harrison is believed to have regularly mentored the 17-year-old at the school, police said. Ahah. Mentored him. I see.
His nickname, "Rev," was posted on what was his office door at English High School, which the Boston school system describes as the country's oldest public high school. (The Boston Latin School, the school's football rival, says they are the oldest school in the country, predating English by two centuries.) 200 years? Well, that's fairly close. Almost the same thing in Common Core math.
Kernaham Buck, an attorney for Harrison, told the Boston Globe that Harrison ran a substance abuse program at the school and had a "strong record of accomplishment in the field of human services." Buck did not immediately respond to a message on Friday. Sounds like he was running his substance abuse program at a profit.
The mood was tense Friday afternoon at the school, a squat, brick structure located in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood, as the news of Harrison's arrest dominated city headlines. It was a dark and stormy night, too.
Outside the school, a man purporting to be affiliated with Boston English ordered a news hound off school property. "Orff! Be orff wid yez! Substance abuse program's closed!"
"We've had enough with all this Shaun Harrison stuff!" the man yelled. When the news hound stepped onto the sidewalk just off school grounds, the man approached quickly. "I told you to get off school property!" he said. Sounds like the local substance abuse program enforcer.
Prosecutors say that Harrison and the student met up Tuesday night and were walking on Magazine Street in Roxbury, when the older man pulled out a handgun and fired it at the back of the student's head before fleeing. "What's that over there?"
"What?"
[BANG!]
"Ow! That hurt!"
The 17-year-old was taken to Boston Medical Center with what police said were injuries that were not life-threatening, after being shot behind the right ear. After the shooting, the teenager flagged down a passing car and asked for help, police said in the complaint filed in municipal court. "Hey, man! Gimme a ride to the hospital! It's an emergency!"
"You ain't havin' no baby! You're a guy!"
In addition to attempted murder, Harrison was also charged with aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and other counts related to the shooting. While Conley's office asked that Harrison be held on $750,000 bail, Judge David Poole of the municipal court set the bail at $250,000. Poole also ordered Harrison to wear a GPS monitor, remain at home if released on bail and stay away from the 17-year-old. If he actually kills him I'll betcha he really jacks the bail up.
Detectives with the Boston Police Department went to Harrison's home in Boston, just a five-minute walk from where the shooting occurred, and saw three men leaving: Dante Lara, 24; Wilson Peguero, 23; and Oscar Pena, 19. These three were searched and found to have guns, marijuana and a police scanner, and they were also arraigned Thursday. "Into the paddy wagon wit' yez!"
"Your name's really Dante? You the guy that wrote 'Paradise Lost?'"
Conley's office says any connection between the three men and Harrison's "alleged drug enterprise remain under investigation," but prosecutors believe they went to the home to remove evidence. Two of the men and Harrison also have similar tattoos, prosecutors said. They hired a guy to run a substance abuse program who has a gang tat... on his neck?
"The investigation into his alleged drug ring remains very active," Conley's office said in a statement. Inspector! How do you do it?
Snyder said that school officials learned of the allegations on Wednesday afternoon, found out he was arrested that night and fired him the following morning. "Rev, yer fired!"
"It's because I'm black, ain't it?"
"Rev, we're all black. Except for the kids in the school band and the math club. They're all Asians."
He had started working as a coordinator at English High School, where his title was "dean of academy," on Jan. 5, after having worked for three other Boston schools since 2010, Snyder said. "Whaddya do for a livin', Rev?"
"I'm a coordinator!"
His role at English involving [sic] helping provide what are known as "wraparound services" for students, Snyder said. These generally involve offering social services to students, finding disciplinary options other than suspensions or helping homeless students find housing. "Why'd you shoot the kid in the back o' the head, Rev?"
"It was that, or suspend him."
A report issued last year by the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center noted that the strongest types of these services involve a specific point-person to make sure "the social-emotional support responsibilities do not fall unduly on teachers and principals." They can't be bothered with that sort of thing. Too busy.
The situation involving Harrison is "an isolated incident," Snyder said, adding that counselors and psychologists were being made available to anyone at the school who needs support. "He's the only kid's been shot in the back o' the head all year."
"Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our students," John McDonough, interim superintendent of Boston Public Schools, said in a statement. "Nothing!"
"English High School is filled with committed and caring educators who go above and beyond for their students every day. This school community is strong and its students and teachers have my unwavering support." How many of them run their own substance abuse programs?
Snyder said school officials have received a few dozen phone calls about the situation, most of which involved people wanting to make sure Harrison was not returning to the school.

[FOX8] It's a business that sells itself on being non-judgmental but Planet Fitness has allegedly revoked the membership of a woman for complaining, according to WNEM.
Yvette Cormier, a member at the Midland location, says she had no idea what that meant until a few days ago.
"I was stunned and shocked. He looked like a man. He did not look like a woman," says Cormier. Cormier is talking about a person who walked into the woman's locker room while she was getting undressed. She says she couldn't believe her eyes.
"This is very unprofessional. This is very scary," continues Cormier. Cormier says she immediately complained to the front desk and eventually to corporate offices.
"They told me the same thing, that he was allowed in there because that's the sex he wants to be," says Cormier.
Cormier says she understands that some men self-identify as women and some women self-identify as men but says this person looked like a man and that caught her off guard.
Cormier lost her membership for violating the company's 'Judgement Free Zone' policy.
Moving forward, Cormier says she isn't concerned with getting back her membership. Her concern now is to warn other women at this gym to make them aware of this policy, because she says Planet Fitness failed to warn her.
The company told TV5 that Cormier's concerns about the policy regarding gender identity was inappropriate and disruptive by complaining to other members at the gym.

Give it time, it will soon percolate down to the least common denominator, and every guy that wants to see a woman naked will feel free to follow her into the locker room, from planet fitness to the local high school. Soon to be followed by girls at the local high school being given 'F's' in gym for refusing to shower after gym. Because THEY are deviant for not wanting to be seen naked by all and sundry, including the entire high school football team.
No question the BATF's dictum that M855 5.56mm ammunition was actually armor piercing, has spiked prices at the least in the short term for .223 as well as for .308 ammunition. .223 ammunition has increased by almost 30 percent in two weeks. If this was the intended effect, then it worked.
As I understand it, there are only two types of .223/5.56mm ammunition commercially available anyway. The main categories are the rounds you buy off the shelf at stores in brass or steel casings, and the military surplus which has been banned. I am certain there are others I am not aware of, but those are the main categories. The government also quit selling used brass last year. If the government imposes a ban on the surplus ammunition, and brass is unavailable except in new manufacture, then that leaves only commercially available ammunition. If you have tried to take some of your own steel cased ammunition to an indoor gun range, then you know those types are banned as well, even if they are lead core. A de facto ban on some sectors of both categories of ammunition.
Last Monday, government weasels got a federal judge to order a ban on open carry anywhere on federal property. The protesters in Spokane went anyway on Friday. No one was arrested. Not sure what will happen next, but when a Mandarin signs a court order that bans a practice legal in the state it has been imposed, a problem exists.
Fascists, with all their heavily armed thug cops around, want something done about "ghost guns". "Ghost guns" are rifles, usually AR and AK types, which have been assembled from a kit using a receiver that is 80 percent or less complete. The government rules on those receivers are draconian and unnecessary. Fascists will tell you they are unregulated, when in fact they are heavily regulated. They will tell you because it makes crime easier to solve, except that serializing guns makes it easier for the government to identify owners, not to solve crime. As it is, and it has been reported everywhere else, "ghost guns" are not usually used in crime anyway.
Prices for rifle ammunition were mostly higher while prices for pistol ammunition were mixed.
Prices for used rifles were mixed while prices for used pistols were lower across the board.

Apparently, there are several definitions of "ghost guns." One is guns fabricated with unfinished part(s) as mentioned here. Other "ghost guns" are made overseas and smuggled into the U.S. Still other "ghost guns" are made of plastic or other materials that makes them hard to detect. "Ghost guns" made overseas end up in gang activity largely because these guns are untraceable; they may be used once (for a hit or other crime) and then disposed of. Liberal law makers (gun grabbers) and the President via EOs pass onerous laws and issue Executive Orders (and IMO illegal) that make life difficult for legal gun owners but do little to address gang/criminal activity. However, it seems their purpose is not to address crime but to grab guns and create a nanny state with ever increasing loss of freedoms.
A Nevada couple were denied their request to serve as foster parents because they have permits to carry guns.
Brian and Valerie Wilson, of Las Vegas, told “Fox & Friends” Sunday that they have always planned to become foster parents and eventually adopt, but have been denied permission to do so because of a state regulation that prohibits the carrying of loaded weapons with foster children.
“I really want a family,” said Valerie Wilson. “It really is heartbreaking because these kids are in institutionalized homes; they aren’t getting the families that they deserve,” she told “Fox & Friends.”
“It’s heartbreaking that they’re not getting the home they deserve,” she said.
“It just doesn’t make sense,” Brian Wilson added. “We’re talking about law-abiding people, people who have had background checks.
“We’re not talking about leaving a firearm around the house,” he said.
The Wilsons said they got the gun permits years ago after they were victims of an attempted home invasion. “We realized that bad things can happen to good people at any time and we need to be responsible,” Brian Wilson said.
[Tolo News] A young woman was decapitated by her fiancé, a member of the local Public Protection Force, in Feroza district of Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province on Saturday. Police officials said the man has already been tossed in the clink You have the right to remain silent... , and the victim's family have called for justice.
The marriage was arranged, and the sister of the man who stands charged of the murder is in fact the fiancé of the victim's brother. The incident was said to have occurred when the man arrived in the early morning at his in-laws house and attacked his fiancé with a knife.
"About 4:30 A.M. this morning, the fiancé of this girl came to her house and first hit her with a knife, and after she screamed, he beheaded her," said Aminullah, a relative of the victim.
The assailant reportedly expeditiously departed at a goodly pace of the crime. "The murderer expeditiously departed at a goodly pace after killing her, but was arrested by police later; now, we want justice," another relative of the victim named Abdul Qadeer told TOLOnews.
The relatives of the murdered girl have joined together to call for justice. "We want the government to hang the man behind the murder," one relative named Nesar Ahmad said. "If the government does not make a decision, we will and and we will kill the man. We have given the sacrifice of blood, and we want blood in return."
The motive for the murder, if there was one, remains unclear. Regardless, the tragedy comes just a day before before Afghanistan celebrates International Women's Day, further highlighting the extent of challenges the country continues to face in addressing violence against women.

Unexpectedly. Think he knew about the bomb? Me neither. Looks as if Vlad is gonna pin this on the Usual Suspects⢠- Caucasus Version
A suspect in the murder of the opposition politician Boris Y. Nemtsov blew himself up as the police closed in on him overnight, Russian news reports said on Sunday, while new disclosures indicated that one of the men already detained in the killing had served as a police officer in the fight against Islamic insurgents.
Five suspects were due to be arraigned at Basmanny District Court in Moscow, Vladimir Markin, a spokesman for Russia's Investigative Committee, said in a statement. Security forces established a cordon around the court.
The two prime suspects, whose names have been officially confirmed, are Zaur Dadayev and Anzar Kubashev, whose arrest was announced on Saturday. There was no announcement from law enforcement agencies confirming the names of the other three suspects although details of further detentions emerged overnight.
The arrests and the police activity were centered in the Northern Caucasus, long a trouble spot for Russia, but there was still no coherent picture of the case from Russia's law enforcement agencies as scattershot details emerged.

Clashes broke out on Saturday after police forces used tear gas to disperse protesters gathered outside a detention center in the southeastern city of Corinth.
The mostly peaceful demonstrators, waving red and black anarchist flags, broke into the camp's main entrance. They called on the government to immediately release all immigrants and refugees held in camps and detention centers across the country.
They also violently urged the new leftist government to reverse the immigration policies put in place by the previous government.

Nation of Islam Farrakhan at war with Christians quoting Christian scripture is hypocrisy. That verse in context is in regards to people such as him.
This dead man walking is part of Obama's Chicago choom gang.
If these people keep pushing it, and don't expect the feds to stop this gang of idiots, the fools who follow him through the gates of hell will deserve the means that got them a ticket there.
"As of 2012, Farrakhan no longer supports Obama, whom he has since called the "first Jewish president", due to Obama's support for the 2011 military intervention in Libya, which Farrakhan strongly opposed due to his own support for Muammar Gaddafi."

So, is it against the law to urge people to desert from the military? I know it's against the law to urge people to commit a violent act, like, say, to riot, but is it against the law to urge people to commit a crime in general? Desertion is certainly a crime.
Not that I expect him to actually be arrested, but I'm just interested in knowing if what he is doing is actually illegal or not.
What would happen if white American troops deserted en masse because they no longer wish to shield a society that gives succor to the likes of Calypso Louie or the various neon-haired Twitter SJWs out there?

[DAWN] The Federal Investigation Agency has incarcerated Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! in Ecuador a Pak convicted by a British court in Feb 2004 for murdering a man in the United Kingdom.
The interior ministry said on Saturday that other culprits in the case had already been arrested in the United Arab Emirates and Pakistain.
Rizwan Habib Alvi, a model agency executive, had been awarded a life sentence at the Old Bailey for beating to death the son of a Pak tycoon on Dec 16, 2001, dumping his body in a river in Surrey and stealing his identity documents.
Alvi and his gang then went on a spending spree in Las Vegas, running up bills of thousands of pounds on the victim's credit cards before heading to Australia, Dubai and Canada.
The gang also tried to transfer 260,000 pounds from the victim's bank accounts but could not succeed because he had changed his password days before his death.
The British police then tracked Alvi down. He was arrested in Canada and deported to the UK.
Under an agreement signed with the UK in 2010, he and the accomplices were to complete the rest of their sentences in Pakistain, but were fraudulently released days after being brought to the country.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
